I was hoping to pound him to the ground myself with my own power, not using a cannon and pew pew peck him to death, you can’t even see damage numbers at all feels kind of not epic and he’s to small for an elder dragon.

going to Orr at lv65 is a bad idea to begin with :P, you will most likely be getting 2 shotted by normal mobs before you even reach malchor’s leap.
People complain about Orr not having safe spots and being attacked all the time yet,
they forget this is where the WAR is concentrated Orr is a battle field not an exploration picnic organizing camping trip.
There is suppose to be danger at every corner you turn, safe places are suppose to be rare and far apart

This happens to me quite a bit to specially in world dragon events, like yesterday in the claw of Jormag event it totally ruined the experience for me, I restarted the client several times still the fking annoying bug came back every single time within minutes of rebooting the client.

Just like most systems Arena.net has managed to implement them with a twist that doesn’t conform to standards so mounts with speed benefits is a big issue for a game like, finding a way to implement them having people buy them yet not providing a speed boost is logical for GW2 play style.

Technically no it isn’t. Story mode doesn’t give tokens as rewards so nobody wants to run it.
That’s because the special dungeon gear is intended for those who are able to run them.
On that note though one thing they need to change is that you can run a dungeon in explore mode even if you haven’t done story mode at all, all that is needed is for one person to have done story mode to go in 1st and select explore mode.
If they make it an absolute requirement that you need to have done story mode 1st to enter explore mode, this might solve at least part of the issue that no one wants to run story mode at all.
Also minimum level requirements need to be met I’ve seen people doing dungeons at lv 28 and stuff and those are probably the ones also complaining that dungeons are to hard !

Somehow it never occurred to a great many people that their hours of frustration happened because they were the weakest link. Are you having a tough time with dungeons? Does every group you run in fall apart? Perhaps the problem is ultimately, YOU.
What makes you so sure that your choice of builds helps your group succeed? Why are you certain that you were not at fault for stepping up and lead when nobody else has a clue? Do you seriously believe it’s the inherent design flaw that made the dungeon impossible to do?
It is always the game designer taking away your precious tank and healers that caused you died every other second. It is always the elitist jerk for yelling at you that made you frustrated every run. No, it’s never your problem. After all, you’ve won matches in sPvP, you’ve taken castles in WvW, and you certainly had absolutely no problem breezing through level 1 to 80 on every map except, maybe, Orr.
Yes, it is okay to go in a dungeon in your blue plus green gear so you can farm for a grandmaster’s book. No, it is not okay that you died 10 times in a row. Everybody said this dungeon is easy, and yet you are wiping. It’s everyone else’s fault. Everybody said this dungeon is impossible, there is an inherent design flaw, the developers better fix it. Heaven forbid that I open up my hero screen and take a closer look at myself.
Of course it can’t be me. Every single group I was in failed because PuGs are always bad. Everybody in my guild says so. They are all the best players I’ve ever played with, because I am a good player, I know who is good. kitten it that nobody is interested in a dungeon. I can say with certainty that the people who want dungeons more difficult are the minority. They need to be able to be done by pug groups that don’t have exotic gear. I’m sure they are going to flame me like crazy for this but it is because they are an extremely vocal bunch. Not everyone has 4 hours to fight the same fight over and over with the same group and tons of communication. The most common dungeon group has to be a random one, and most people are taking the same path over and over again despite diminishing returns because the other paths are too hard!
What’s the goal with making them harder? To appease the people who already can do it and have it on autopilot.
What’s the goal with making them easier? To make them more accessible to everyone else who still has yet to do them and get the goodies!

Exotic gear for dungeons is detrimental to your income (repair bills are to high)
from my casual player stand point I can say, rare gear with good runes are enough for dungeons even explorable mode.
Sorry but explorable mode dungeons were originally and in principle not designed for pug groups at all.
even so, certain pug groups are well enough coordinated to take on certain paths but not all of them can be achieved so easily by pug groups, CoF path 3 comes to mind.
I’m a casual player and don’t have any issues with the difficulty of explore mode dungeons what so ever I hate to say it but this is a case of learn to play in the truest sense of the word.
I myself had many issues at 1st when I didn’t know the dungeon / roles / class mechanics or how to properly spec and play my class, a lack of knowledge will most certainly get you killed, no matter what gear type you have
People are starting to learn the mechanics and how the game is supposed to be played.
so NO I do not agree with the OP about this 1 hit kills issue, I used to get killed by 1 shots a lot at 1st specially in AC, now with a decent group even explorable mode dungeons are a lot easier to the point I think they should add a new difficulty mode instead of bringing it down.

Hmm, explorable mode dungeons are not that hard (imo) despite all the whining and moaning on these forums….!
I think that for those looking for a bare bones test of their skills, dungeons should offer a higher difficulty level option, once you clear all 32 dungeon paths you get nightmare mode or similar.
Of course this mode should be entirely optional with a gw2 website ranking system of sorts for bragging rights, but never included in things needed for any sort of game related rewards like legendary weapons for example.

It needs to be an obvious easily accessible option like say, right click select ready check kind of thing or a button because, I’ve played GW1 and I never noticed a ready check at all.
With travel costs as high as they are it’s a waste to have to go to LA for a salvage kit when you run out.
When simply adding the vendor option to the NPC standing outside the dungeon would be so easy.
Either add one merchant NPC, reduce the travel costs or add the vendor option to current NPC outside of dungeon.
This is a simple matter and would be such a nice thing to have.
A simple ready check before starting a major dungeon encounter.
Elite banner goes on full CD after being interrupted by an enemy CC skill that also happens to send you into downed state.
When you rally your elite banner is on full CD instead of a shorter interruption CD.

it only creeps it’s ugly head when you 1st enter combat and swap weapons for the 1st time, it totally ignores the fact you have the fast hands trait and places a standard 9 second CD on your swapping ability instead of a 4 second CD

OP’s idea is to overly complex and accomplishes very little , why would I need more people just to use my mount ? if that was the case I’d just as well use the stupid way point and get it over with.
1. Teleporting to waypoints in those zones is WAY cheaper.
2. You can see EVERY dynamic event going on, via your map.
3. “Hearts” reset and have a bonus to the mobs/tasks involved *(think “New game +” Mode / nightmare difficulty).
4. Can purchase “Vista Volumes” from certain NPC’s that are useable at your character select screen or in game via a “theater” like the one in FFX.
1 – I agree with, as an explorer this would be a very nice incentive to actually go for 100% world completion.
2 – Not such a good idea, now if it was limited to the map you are currently on that would be nice.
3 – Bad idea and kind of hard to do, it would require either phasing technology or instancing to accomplish as hearts are open world interest points.
4 – Sure why not it’s purely cosmetic anyway.

Like the title says,
This is something that is missing big time in this game right now, your traits selection and setup is radically different for WvW or Dungeons depending also on the role you want to fulfill within the group.
Right now, every time you need to do this you have to reset your traits and redo all of it all over again, I hate to bring up other games but imagine Rift’s souls system without the ability to swap soul setups out of combat.
Side note: Rift also didn’t have this ability at launch but they quickly added it
Guild Wars 1 had templates, when is A.net going to realize they are badly needed in Guild Wars 2 as well.
Sure you can go into a Dungeon or WvW with a less than stellar trait setup and finish it but it’d be more efficient, provide better, smoother game play to have a setup specifically for that content type, traits that do wonders in WvW may not be the best choice for Dungeons and vise versa.

I’m lv80 with 48% world completion, have barely done any sPVP or WvW at all, have barely done any dungeons and have barely seen any World Bosses except for Tequatel, the great destroyer and the shadow behemoth.
Yet people cry out we need more content !

after watching this video even my eyes were open even wider as to what level of content is present in Guild Wars 2.
Stop trying to play it like a traditional raiding is endgame content, just because you reached lv80 does NOT mean you’ve seen and done all there is to do in the game.
Even in Guild Wars 1 times you could reach lv20 midway the prophecies campaign, you still had half of prophecies to go plus Nightfalls, Factions and Eye of the north expansions. The only reason it was so obvious was because of the linear style Guild Wars 1 had when compared to Guild Wars 2 non linear, random do what you like approach.

- receive public mail. [yes] or [no]
- receive system mail. [yes] or [no]They can add you to their friends list if they like, but unless you’ve added them back they still wouldn’t be able to send you mail. They would only be following you and would be listed under the followers tab.
Seeing as how we get quest rewards via system mail I don’t think that there should be an option to turn that off.

For a game all about looks and how beautiful things are, this is a much needed feature in the TP.
Can someone explain to me what this buff really means and what it is the Boss gains from it ? the description is kind of vague and to general when you mouse over it.

I just thought I’d bring this to the attention of the ones concerned with this system.
Gold sellers and spammers are clever and have figured out that if they sent you a gold selling mail containing 1 copper the report option isn’t present at all, you cannot report it or outright delete the mail in question, you can only delete it after taking the lousy copper and even after this the report option doesn’t come up. It goes without saying this is a major loophole in the system and needs to be fixed asap.

There’s already a super OP healing class in PVE game.
Look at the guardian’s tools, it is clearly the most efficient healing and support class in the game no questions asked ! Oh and they can chop you into pieces to, so asking for a healing class is ludicrous play a guardian and you’d be fine.
I’m now leveling a guardian and to be honest guardian are way OP in everything they do, I was doing lv11 personal story at lv6 and winning that’s crazy !
I could never do that with a warrior or any other class at all I’d get 2 hit massacred for sure.
At one point I was dealing with 4 to 5 enemies plus an elite and still they couldn’t kill me, sure they can get me down but the down state guardian abilities are so OP compared to other classes I’d be up again in no time bashing their heads in again.
Don’t get me wrong I was having a blast
mostly because of how easy and ridiculous it was when I knew any other class would be massacred in such a situation.
Guardians are easy play and clearly they are Paladins they can tank better than a warrior can and their health regen ticks every second compared to the warrior’s adrenaline based health regen that ticks once every 2 or 3 seconds, oh and you could still add even more healing using virtues and utility skills.
So, IMO Anet didn’t do enough to remove the trinity if you really wanna clear content fast and easy get at least 2 guardians in your party and you’re set to go it’s as easy as that. I’ve been around lv50 zones with 2 guardians, me a warrior and we take down same lv world boss champions with just the three of us, that is also insane !
Now that I’ve played a guardian I totally understand why all the LFG Guardian for AC EXP mode.
A.net if you really want to get rid of this ^ behavior the guardian class needs a total redesign, re-balance and restructuring, as it stands now you’d be insane not to take advantage of the guardians super awesome OP PVE abilities.
Is there a way to further decrease the amount of particle effects ?
if not, may I suggest a form of adaptive particle effects is in order, the more people around the less particle effects per person, melee have a hard time as it is already and you can’t really make out what the F is going on at all, makes the game more zerg prone and less strategic. 70% of the time you can’t even be sure where you’re facing and what positioning you have in melee range.
My other issue is with buffs, you see when you travel through let’s say an Asura gate from kessex hills to fort trinity for example why is my 30 second speed buff gone ? the cooldowns don’t reset so why are my buffs gone after 3 second travel ? shouldn’t they be still on.
Yes, yes I could activate the buffs after travel, but if I already did activate, say, my speed buff to get there faster have 20sec left I should arrive at the other side with the remaining time minus the travel time of course.
the WvW Population needs to be balanced out or there is going to be alot of major issues
keep it simple since there are 3 teams no 1 team should out number the other 2 teams combined
say Red has 15 players and Blue has 20 players
Green should have a limit of 35 placed on themthis is not going to hurt the game if a player is interested in WvW they can transfer to another World
if a player enjoys WvW they do not want to end up in a 50v5 battle that is not enjoyable for anyone
This doesn’t make any sense at all, the limit that is important is already in place 250-350 players max per server can enter.

Crit dmg RNG doesn’t bother me that much, it adds a sense of oh snap, what happened there ! Dang ! moments. What does bother me a LOT is the other kinds of RNG I’m looking at you “Mystic Forge” gambling style recipes…..!
- skills that cause burning also have an upfront damage component to them.
- mob tagging is not about who hits it 1st rather how much damage you have done to qualify for the loot table. (not 100% sure as to the minimum dmg % needed to qualify for loot table though)
- say you have 20 burn dmg per tick and someone arrives with 40 dmg per tick what happens now is the burn duration of both is added but the dmg is not, your burn would continue to burn at 20 dmg per tick and transition into the 40dmg per tick obviously the higher dmg burn takes priority and would burn 1st, but yours is not lost at all well unless the mob died before yours was in effect, which still leaves the upfront damage from the skill to be counted towards the loot table anyway.
Hope that shines some light into it for you.

It is possible to do dungeons with more of the same class and succeed, I’ve run dungeons with 4 warriors and a ranger. the main issues are:
- you need well rounded characters
- you need to talk strategy before going in.
- some form of communication tool other than typing makes it so much easier.
- player skill is a major factor even if you have a well rounded character.
- don’t just spec direct damage bring in at least one condition heavy character.

You would need at least 3 skritt to count as a player. Not even a heroic skritt would count as a single player when alone.
Imagine, a thief skritt with dual daggers.
The armors pieces would be split between all of them, doing things like fashioning coats out of shoulder pieces and leggings, or helms out of gloves. And while one skritt uses one dagger, another uses the other, and a third brings the alt weapon and stays behind.
An skill animations would have to be made for all of them, like one pulling the others when dodging, or all of them grabbing a greatswordwhen performing a stronger attack, while only two of them would grab it for most attacks.
Imagine the warrior spinning gratsword attack: Two skritt grabbing a third by the feet, and the third grabs the sword, and there they go all three spinning.No matter how cool it’ll look, the animations something like this would require would be insane. Insanely fun, insanely ridiculous, and insanely time-consuming.
And they’ll have to record quite some extra sets of voices, when the existing ones can’t be used with 3 other people, or a single skritt talking for the rest.
Oh this 3 makes 1 player none sense so reminds me of the race I’ve hated the most in any mmorpg, the stupid allods online Gibberlings! so freaking annoying !!!
Leave that crap out of the Guild Wars universe please !

I’ve run into this issue many times already, if I have cool looking gear and I want to extract the rune / sigil I’d have to destroy the item in order to salvage the upgrade losing the cool looking skin it feels like such a waste, same thing if you transmute the item you still lose one of the skins and a set of runes or sigils.
Why not introduce a Skin / rune / sigil extraction stone ?
The extracted skin becomes a transmutation item just like the guild armor or weapon armor transmutable items.

joke of course, interesting idea but than, all characters would need a way to drag ally out of harms way to heal them. I proposed something like this way back in the beginnings of beta inspired by Army of two down system where you can drag an ally to safety before healing him.

Do not agree with dungeon creation kit, make it dungeon creation contests and yes I will sign it up
One thing though, NOT a la SOE style whatever studio where the users create the stuff themselves…..!

Pretty much self-explanatory, but when in a party with people to have the option to follow them would be great as when levelling and exploring together it’s easy to get separated or for one in the group to get mobbed
