I’m sick of this kitten !
I want to give you some money for all the good times I’ve had with guild wars 2 over the past 600 plus days but, I can’t even add a payment method !
Support ticket submitted !!!
Hello,
Try to remove Local.dat.
C:\Users\Propriétaire\AppData\Roaming\Guild Wars 2
—
problem still persists, but thank you for your suggestion.
Hey there!
If you’re getting some timeout errors, I’d try this:
At this time I would like you to delete the Temporary Cache for Guild Wars 2. To do this:
In Windows, press the “Start” button and locate the “Search programs and files” bar at the bottom of the start menu.
Type in temp exactly as shown (including the percent signs).
Press “Enter” and a new window should appear with the location of “C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp”
Locate the folder labeled "gw2cache-{RANDOM NUMBERS} and delete it.
Hope this helps!
Did what you asked still the same problem.
EDIT
- PC Reboot.
- Clear all browser data & cookies.
- Disabled antivirus.
- Disabled popup blocker.
- Uninstalled Internet Explorer.
- Deleted cache as instructed.
- Allowed popup in chrome settings.
- gw2.exe -repair.
Still having the same issue as in original post, help please.

This got me super excited,
Look at the pictures, left is a sketch found in Scarlet’s Dry Top lab and right is a depiction of the realm of torment from guild wars 1.
The vines we see in Dry Top are also something that happens when the veil between the 2 worlds weakens.
Are you as excited as I am ?
I have set all sub domains under [*.]guildwars2.com as an exception in all cookie rules
in Chrome, but I still get that message.
please help me.
EDIT
placing the correct country code in the document from http://userpage.chemiekittenberlin.de/diverse/doc/ISO_3166.html still doesn’t work.
I’ve now made chrome and IE settings for 3rd party cookies and even tried setting IE as my default browser, still cannot buy gems. It keeps saying session expired.
(edited by Latinkuro.9420)
And Belina’s GS is in the wardrobe so you can complete your ninja look.
Has anyone figured out how to acquire that sweet looking katana yet ?
I keep getting a red error screen saying I need to check my browser’s settings for 3rd party content, it’s driving me insane !
Does anyone have any clues as to what to do ?
I’m using chrome.
I sure do hope it is a level 80 area with NO up-leveling !
I have two warriors, one for PVE with 100% world completion.
And one exclusively for WvW, I did level it to 80 before heading to WvW though, since let’s be honest anything below 80 in WvW in it’s current meta state is nothing more than rally bait.
Yet another prime example, of things that are wrong with this kitten profession.
Molten facility dungeon.
A.net learn from your neighbor Wild Star.
They give players a small in-game reward for enabling 2 step auth on their accounts.
This motivates even the lazy ones to actually do it, in the long run it means less accounts stolen and less headache for the entire player base, plus less tickets for you.
And yes, I’ve been using 2 step auth since day one of it’s inception
We already have great Raids mate, what else would you call Teq 2.0 and Evolved Wurm ?
Before we talk variety, what we really need is a way to control, spawn your own map, so only those invited in can actually get in, no pesky uplevels and such !!!
I am so kitten sick of stacking.
It effectively ruins all the dungeon content in the game. No more fighting the boss as it was designed. Nope, gotta all sit in a weird corner watching my cooldowns go off. Oh, and this time it decided to magically not work, so we have to go try it again.
I know all you professional dungeon runners are in love with the idea of cheesing down content to get it done faster, but for all of us that actually enjoy fighting bosses and doing PvE content, stacking is killing our love for this game.
I just have to wonder why ANet lets this kind of thing go. Why are they just enabling their playerbase to just cheat their way through dungeons? Doesn’t that go against everything game designers and developers are supposed to stand for?
I don’t know. I’m just so kitten sick of cheesing my way through every bit of content in this game.
- A.net is all about play the game the way you like to play it so…………..
- You play the way you like, no stacking no LOS no speedruns, no skipping yada yada yada.
- I play the way I like, speedruns galore ftw.
- I respect your play style.
- Please respect mine.
- Once I’ve done a dungeon a thousand times, I don’t really care about running it the supposedly “proper” way anymore, it’s all about get in, finish, collect, get out.
I like the idea except for one thing.
- The random location inside hard mode.
I’d rather it transported you to the hard mode map at the current location your character is at.
Randomness and me are NOT very good friends !
That is to say the RNG Gods hate my guts.
example of how this order warfare could work in the mists
Because of scarlet’s intrusion into the mists, the very fabric of it’s construct has become unstable, the mists war front has been moved 1000 years into the past before all the orders of tyria were united against the dragons.
Please never undertake a career as a writer.
I wouldn’t lol ! it is just a thought.
@ OP, I’m not opposed to a 3 factional system. Just don’t want those factions to be vigil / priory / whispers.
They can come up with new factions for all I care, as long as it remains AvAvA
Allow players to pick each time they log on what faction they’d like to fight for.
allowing players to swap alliance each time they login defeats the purpose of the system itself.
just need a gem store item, that allows you to reset your alliance affiliation once every 3 months or so.
No, the Joker is not evil.
He wants chaos, nothing else, and as such he wouldn’t really be classified as evil. And funnily enough with all this is that Scarlet was basically a Joker-ish character in S1.
yes, true scarlet was a joker type character but badly done.
why was scarlet badly done you ask ?
because of the limitations placed on the writers that’s why !
what limitations you ask ?
look at the joker in that movie he is evil yet sometimes funny while also being cryptic.
his style makes it possible to be dark evil, hide plot twists and show complex emotions while not being gore.
ugh again with this true evil kitten, I never used the word true evil !
but at least this time part of your post deserves a reply.
Dark side evil doesn’t mean to me what you think it means I guess.
my version of acceptable dark side evil would be along the lines of what the joker was in the dark knight
Something along those lines would be acceptable.
1: Ah yes, genocide, mass-destruction, death, loss of home and loved ones is perfect for preschool children…
2: Ironically enough the fact that you want something that is 100% evil would suggest that you are on the level you claim the story is.
In the real world there is nothing that is 100% evil, that only happens in cartoons and children stories.
1 – yes those are present but the way it was done, is preschool level of complexity when it comes to emotions.
2 – who is talking about 100% evil lol, you seem to not understand what is being talked about here pls stay out of the thread.
/the end I will not reply to any further attempts from you.
The journal is a great addition to the game, I’ve always said that if I wasn’t playing when LS started I would’ve never picked up the game because you couldn’t play past LS releases, the journal completely fixes that big outstanding issue.
The story in gw2 suffers, not because the writers are not the same ones that wrote gw1 but rather for the following reasons:
1 – Catering mostly to small preschool children that have no understanding of complex emotional concepts.
2 – There is no dark side evil in this game at all, the little evil there is, is limited by point 1, catering to small preschool children with no understanding of what evil truly means.
That ties the hands of the writers and limits the amount of things they can come up with, while neglecting what made Guild Wars lore so great in the 1st place.
So,
My hope for LS-S2 is that they stop making kindergarden / preschool approved stories and focus on complex emotions that young adults can actually get excited about while introducing some of the dark twists that made Guild Wars lore so great to begin with.
It is impossible to hide plot twists, make interesting content, get the gw2 populus excited if the emotions, morals and evil ideas involved have to be pre school level approved.
No it doesn’t make sense. You are talking about having to go to a completely different company in order to access a TV episode you missed when it aired. In GW2’s case, we wouldn’t be going anywhere else to purchase the living story content we missed.
It’s pretty common for cable and satellite boxes to have DVR capabilities so you can set it to record TV shows and watch them at your convenience if you’re not going to be able to watch it when it airs, or if you want to rewatch a favorite episode. You may pay an extra little bit on your monthly bill to be able to do that, but you aren’t charged (as far as I know) each time you use the feature.
Your analogy doesn’t work here, because you need to actually play the content first before you can access it later for free. It would be akin to having to watch the TV episode first, record it, and then you can rewatch it later on. That’s oldschool, before automatic DVR technology. On the other hand, if you completely missed the LS content/TV show, you can pay to have a chance to watch it for the first time.
you also got it wrong !
you only need login during those 2 weeks to unlock it.
nowhere does it say you need to play it for it to unlock lol.
you can login unlock it, than go to the beach, comeback later and still play that content whenever you feel like it.
You’re forgetting one thing !
sub games make you also pay for the expansion even though you’re already paying $180,00 a year for a kitten sub !
1 episode costs $2,50 (2 weeks)
52 weeks /2= 26 episodes x $2,50 = $65,00 (1 year)
a sub costs $15×12=$180,00 (1 year)
plus you’d need to add the $65 dollars for the expansion.
even if it was, which it isn’t by the way I’d be happy to pay the $65
Stop crying !
paying only for the content is a much better model than paying for the kitten right to even play the game while still asking for money for expansions !
what is it that p2p companies always say to justify the sub ?
it’s for future content delivery, now that is a rip off
since whenever they do deliver good content it is labeled an expansion and you still need to fork over $60 dollars for it.
The issue is much deeper than the cost of the contents but nobody sees it. The promise of free contents are now false and this MMO is now moved from a complete buy to play model to pay to play. It doesn’t matter if it is the past contents or whatever….
The point here is that how far will ANet go and will we ever see a gem price on future living story or other contents? Is this a sign that GW2 model of buy to play has failed and are they just testing the community on how far we will tolerate.
That said, I understated a game studio costs money to run and the devs need to pay thier bills. But has the direction of the game brought this on itself? Did they push us to kitten the bi-weekly gem stories that everyone finally got turned off by it? And now the gem store is nothing more than a show room of stuff with no buyers….
Nothing from the system we’ve had since the game launched is being taken away. We will still be getting free content every two weeks – just like we did in S1. Everything they are talking about is an addition to the game system.
So, if someone wanted to play the game exactly the way they have for the past 2 years, they can – no problem. The idea that the game is going p2p is just ridiculous.
This is an extremely positive announcement. There is no money grab here. If there were, then they would just make everyone pay gems to access old content – not just those who miss it.
They want people to log in at least every few weeks because they want people to see the new stuff and remain excited about the game.
The TINY price for not doing so (only if you want to see what you missed – even that is optional) is only about encouraging people to log in every couple of weeks. Business wise, it makes a lot lot of sense (and most people understand why they are doing it).
p2p ? are you serious ?
1 episode costs $2,50 (2 weeks)
52 weeks /2= 26 episodes x $2,50 = $65,00 (1 year)
a sub costs $15×12=$180,00 (1 year)
even if it was which it isn’t by the way I’d be happy to pay the $65
Ugh, I had a nice well thought out response and the darn thing errored. kitten it. Oh well.
I look at it this way: It’s not any different than buying an expansion in chunks, rather than all at once. Of course, if I’m playing regularly anyway, the point is moot because I get it for free.
Not to mention that even if you do join the game later, or if you don’t log in to get your free content as it comes, when you “buy the expansion” through the gem store you’re still only paying for the story instances. New features, such as weapons or playable races, that would traditionally come bundled with expansions, will be presumably available to everyone, for free.
This style also solves the issue of population segregation between those that have the expansion and hence access to new classes and new weapons, and those that don’t have the expansion and so have no access to new classes and weapons.
paying for content but not for features is in my opinion the best model, and is exactly what they seem to have come up with.
I’m very happy that it does require you (the player) to finish your original PS and reach level 80 before you can access LS-S2. I was getting tired of seeing up-levels dying all over the place, whose only purpose is only making it impossible for a.net to deliver truly challenging content to level cap players
This had to happen in order to provide more challenging content.
Allowing any level to play LS-S2 would have resulted in inferior content difficulty for level cap players.
I do have a few questions about the new system though:
- The S2 LS seems to be a continuation of the PS as such does that mean that LS2 will be mainly instanced 1 player content ?
- How will big epic Boss encounters be handled going forth ?
- Will there be 5 man type instances for LS-S2 boss fights ?
- Will these Boss fights also be replayable forever ?
Looking over the LS season 2 blurb I spotted this “Past episodes will be available for purchase for 200 gems”
Does this mean if we want to reply any LS content we need to pay for it in gems? Is it an unlock a chapter forever fee for every account or is it character bound? If we pay for a chapter can we team with people who haven’t?
Personally, not sure how I feel about this move. To me it seems to step over the ‘morality line’ and move GW2 to a payment model I don’t really like..
Hmm
If you log in during the release window of an episode (e.g. two weeks) you unlock the episode for your account. You can replay it as many times as you want for free. If you miss the release window and you want to play an episode that you didn’t unlock, you can purchase it.
It’s a lot like watching television in that you can watch (and record) an episode for free when it airs. If you miss it, you can buy the episode off iTunes later. Does that make sense?
1st off, it makes total sense, the OP is just either misguided or didn’t read properly.
Paying for content is absolutely fine, and you (a.net) are even making it so we can access it for free if you login during it’s two week launch window. What more can we (players) possibly ask for.
I’m also happy that it does require you (the player) to finish your original PS and reach level 80 before you can access LS-S2. This had to happen in order to provide more challenging content for level cap players.
Allowing any level to play LS-S2 would’ve resulted in inferior content difficulty.

Wow just wow, thank you a.net so much for making enemy nameplates grey when fully dead.
This is my 2nd suggestion that gets implemented in record time so thank you very much.
Sorry dude, but people been asking this for more than a year…
Duh
Wow just wow, thank you a.net so much for making enemy nameplates grey when fully dead.
This is my 2nd suggestion that gets implemented in record time so thank you very much.
oh come on the ones affected should be the ones waiting.
the rest of us that did get the chest should not have to be punished.
rewards should still be available on the 3rd, those affected can claim theirs when you fix the chest problem.
You’re forgetting something very important OP.
The sense of server & community pride
I have bled, raged, endured, learned, adapted, laughed, cried and even suffered sleep deprivation all for the glory of my server, I would never transfer.
Even if somehow someday my server falls from T1 I would still be there fighting the good fight.
Gw2 has never had any kind of elitist player mentality.
Are we playing the same game at all ?
Can I play it to ? :P
On topic,
gw2 is all about cosmetics, there is no perpetual vertical progression aka the hunt for better stats.
as such those LS skins were valuable as prestige items for this very reason, now that is all gone ! thank you very much a.net.
I also feel cheated because the one item I don’t have is nowhere to be found, the mad king memories yet all my other LS skins are now easily acquirable !!! not cool !!!
(edited by Latinkuro.9420)
No thanks, if this means I have to endure PvE in order to choose who I’m fighting for … I want nothing to do with it. Also I’m sure guildies have chosen different paths which is an issue.
easy fix mate.
all they have to do is allow you to choose your order at the character creation screen and make it part of you biography.
there problem solved.
In the thick of battle it is hard to see anything in between the sea of particle effects let alone who is down, who is dead.
for this reason and for better visibility I propose this:
Nameplates should reflect player and npc status
What do I mean ?
- player is down: nameplate color is bright yellow.
- player is dead: nameplate color is light grey.
- npc is dead: nameplate color is black.
Server V Server is more unique, and creatures stronger ties than being simply in the same faction (that you can transfer from. Not to mention “order warfare” has loads of problems like completely destroying the lore (remember, these 3 factions are allied atm in lore and probably will continue to be for the living world).
oh please beware!
I do not like this idea at all.
1) it does not fit the lore
2) I do like this game to be free of fractions as one of not so many
3) no one should be forced to do Living Story to WvW (I did the low level parts on different chars and with friends to try out all the options and it was fun but stopped with the order stories. you can only do them so many times…I am allergic to apples by now )
The lore of the living world is separate from the mist for a good reason.
The mists are not bound by any lore anything and everything can happen.
remember the mist is not tied to time or space in any way, shape or form.
It is literally a carte blanche for the developers to tinker with anything.
example of how this order warfare could work in the mists
Because of scarlet’s intrusion into the mists, the very fabric of it’s construct has become unstable, the mists war front has been moved 1000 years into the past before all the orders of tyria were united against the dragons.
As a result of this there’s conflict between all the orders, they are now locked in eternal battle and struggle for dominance over the rest.
who will you represent ? who will you join ? whose cause is just and right ?
pick a side and drive the rest under your rule.
For honor, for glory for the (insert order name here)
Kurzicks vs luxons. Welcome in gw1
That was factions warfare, my Orders warfare would be an evolution of that
It’s exploitable. If i have for ex 3 characters each entered in one of the orders i can easily change inbetween them and debalance the fight.
Not really,
Think about it, they can allow you to swap orders once !
And after that all characters on your account will belong to that one faction.
There problem solved
You wanna swap faction after this ?
you’d need to delete all your characters and start fresh.
EDIT
2nd thought, put an item in the gem store called:
“Alignment reset coin”
This item allows you to change your allegiance to any of the three orders in the game.
warning: alignment can only be changed once every three months
(edited by Latinkuro.9420)
Imagine.
W v W v W becoming,
Vigil VS Priory VS Whisper.
Welcome to Guild Wars 2 new three faction based warfare
That order you joined, becomes who you represent for WvWvW now that is awesome.
Think about it, it preserves the 3 way style of matches while solving the coverage and population issues.
We can only dream.
Thoughts ?
This build works not only to beat Liadri.
I killed all my gauntlet opponents using this one build
Talk about OP
If this was like every other mmo out there skins would not matter as much.
That said,
Guild Wars 2 is all about the skins, as such yes unique skins do give some degree of prestige specially those skins that are NOT tradable and limited to those that were actually present at the time to acquire them.
The prestige was not about “oh look shiny” as some of the skins are not that impressive.
it was more along the lines of “I was there when it happened” kind of prestige.
that is all gone now with LS rewards coming back from previous releases.
For example, having a pair of fused gauntlets used to be kind of unique, now everybody and their dog is gonna have one, sad so sad.
Someone in this forum suggested a few weeks ago about this, i did want to bump that thread but the search doesn’t work. -.-
Anyway, we need a slot in Hero/Equipment panel for our minis. Just like Anet did to Outfits, why not one for minis with the on/off option as well?
I would rather see functional stuff added before this purely cosmetic thingy !
Things like, 2 keybind-abled slots added to hero panel or somewhere else for:
- Food buff.
- Utility buff.
No. Having the effects of three sigils in place of two sigils is wrong and an unintended design.
losing your stacks puts you in a disadvantageous position against a group that has full stacks.
You already have the effects of two sigils. If an enemy has a stack then he loses out the other sigil effect that you have.
You do not understand what is being discussed here mate.
I’m talking about this:
you have 2 weapon sets as a warrior,
1st set: hammer with say fire and celerity.
2nd set: warhorn/sword with bloodlust and fire.
now normally I can stack my bloodlust using my 2nd wpn set then use my hammer to get the effects of fire and celerity on top of my bloodlust, this works as intended because I have not replaced any weapons.
Normally if you travel through the water in dreaming bay and go on land your stacks are intact, the problem now is even while using the intended method the system punishes the user.
- I didn’t replace any of my weapons.
- Even if I did travel through water it should not remove my stacks.
- It should detect who is replacing weapons and who is simply using the intended weapon swap.
Bloodlust stacking change is not right !!!
- It reminds me of when defiance was introduced, it was a fast response band aid system and we got stuck with it.
NOT this time A.net
I understand wanting to prevent people from abusing the underwater weapons to keep the stacks while switching to other weapons, from that perspective I saw the change coming a mile away.
But…..
The way the change was implemented is wrong.
It doesn’t take into consideration who simply uses weapon swaps as intended and who is trying to exploit the system.
It should’ve been put into effect in such a way that it detects weapon replacement instead of arbitrarily removing my legitimately earned stacks
This is especially frustrating in WvW, for example dreaming bay incursions, where most of the time it is unavoidable to go into it via water.
losing your stacks puts you in a disadvantageous position against a group that has full stacks.
bottom line: The way the system was introduced is unilateral, impartial and punishes the innocent. It needs to be adapted so it doesn’t impact those of us that use the system as intended.
WvW is inherently unbalanced
Nowhere in my post do I speak about balance at all.
- preventing people from playing on the server they like is not my idea of balance.
I’d go as far as to say a 24 hour matchup would be ideal for tourneys.
- coverage would not matter as much, smaller servers can pull of OT to cover gaps for 24 hours instead of the unrealistic OT for weeks at a time.
- elimination style tourneys, you lose you go home. This would make match fixing a bit harder since any decent server can come together for at least 24 hours to prevent losing.
EDIT
- Pit NA and EU servers against each other making it a true world vs world experience.
(I can dream) they both would experience the same lag issues, if any so no one has an advantage.
(edited by Latinkuro.9420)
WvW pre-Season 3 thoughts
This is not a QQ thread, please do NOT make it into one
All I’m saying is this:
A.net needs to learn from the mistakes made in seasons 1 and 2 before thinking of implementing WvW season 3.
- Season 1 was coverage and transfer issues.
- Season 2 was match fixing, manipulation, and intentional match losses to benefit in upcoming matchups.
- Seasons are way too long, especially considering how broken and easily cheatable their setup is.
I like seasons but I’d rather they don’t have any at all if they are not willing to do them right.
It was some kind of Trans-Atlantic cable cut.
everything is fine now.
As of 15 minutes ago I can’t access the game anymore keep getting the auth server unreachable error while my internet is working just fine.
didn’t know where else to post this, feel free to move it to the appropriate sub forum.
Dueling yay or nay ?
take the poll and be heard
