Update! Sigil stacking, Example. Sigil of Battle and On Crit sigils now work together. Cannot combine 2 same sigils like, On Crit On Crit Some On Crit sigils now are On Hit.

That is not exactly correct mate,
2 different on crit sigils will proc, as they have said each sigil will have it’s own CD.
now 2 on crit sigils of the same kind will still share the same CD, for example 2 sigils of fire won’t work but, 1 sigil of fire and 1 sigil of air will totally work.

- can we expect it on the 21st update ?

it’s not about your ability to auto deny duels !
it’s about immersion and how PVE dueling goes against the established lore, all races cooperating with each other instead of fighting each other.

The established lore involves having to challenge members of the other races to duels in order to convince them to join in the crusade against the dragons. Anet specifically chose to include PvE dueling in the lore. Also not all members of all races are cooperating.

ugh, this has been discussed to death NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !
NO dueling in PVE world !

Nerfing crit damage, yeah that’s really going to remove the pve dps meta and promote diversity….

They didn’t say nerfing, though that’s likely the outcome. Ideally they’d make crits 100% base instead of 50% and remove the stat so power and condition were a bit more even. But who knows.

It’s safe to say they are going to try and nerf it, it’s what they do. It’s sadly also getting increasingly safe to say that they don’t know what they are doing.

if they really wanna help the game why don’t they remove the one mechanic that has no place in a modern mmorpg aka the kitten stealth

don’t understand why dev’s keep insisting in introducing that kitten thing in every game, if a new mmorpg came out and said stealth does not exist in our game i would pay a sub !

nobody likes to fight an invisible enemy that can stealth at will even after attacking !
at least in older games once you come out of stealth and attack it was a lot harder to get back into stealth and escape or whatever, but here the drawbacks are almost none !

you wanna fix something start there !

Every Dungeon Run Should Yield 1 pc. of Armor

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Latinkuro.9420

Latinkuro.9420

I thought this game wasn’t supposed to be grindy?

I hear people talking about “speed runs”, and thinking to myself, why would anyone ever want to do a speedrun, anyway?

The answer is simple. You speed run because you want the reward, but not the content.

And why wouldn’t you want the content? Because it’s repeat. You’ve already done it.

So, why not reward enough dungeon currency to buy a piece of armor or weapon each and every run.

Or, just put it in the chest at the end as a choice of the entire dungeon set – each run gets you one.

The ONLY reason not to do this is to keep people grinding the same content over and over and over, because you need people on that treadmill to keep them busy because you don’t have enough content to satisfy them.

BUT

We were told this is a non-grindy game, so what gives?

You need to revise your definition of grind mate !
have you ever played any mmo besides gw2 ?
if you had you’d never akin the easy to acquire dungeon armor to grind !

  • People who can’t use the dodge function AS INTENDED (holy **** you can EVADE an ENTIRE attack?!)
  • People who can’t complete dungeons in less than 4 hours and feel bad others can do it in 4 minutes
  • People who think the meta for old MMO’s should be the same for all MMO’s
  • You forgot people that run crappy builds but apply for speed clear groups and get mad when they are kicked.

Latinkuro.9420

It would actually be nice to get this discussion back on track; right now there are people saying that DPS (zerker) specs should be nerfed and people defending this because of multiple reasons..

We can talk all we want about if the DPS meta should be “balanced” or “nerfed” or whatever. The fact remains that the “DPS meta”, the “Zerker builds” or even the “Players” are not at fault here.. and thus should not be changed or forced to change. Even the players that feel left out because they can’t or won’t play in a predefined way must see that “gear” is not at fault here..

What is? The game mechanics.. simple as that. No trinity (which I’m not saying is desirable) means that everyone is in fact a “jack of all trades”, this wouldn’t be a problem and actaully sounds good, if the encounters in game were made to fit that. The fact is that this is NOT the case. You don’t need a jack of all trades, you don’t need a trinity, you don’t even need toughness or vitality… You have dodge and DPS, you can stack/LoS, burn everything down and GG.

So nerfing or changing the Meta? This will just result in a different Meta or in another version of “trinity”.. Both of which will result in all the same problems you have now but with a different focus.. So quick fixes for this imagined problem are just not there, simple as that.

Can something be done? Sure.. Change the whole system, dodging, buffs, condi’s and AI. Change boss skills, trash mob skills the whole lot.. In essence, change everything..
Why? Because the the current meta is inherent to the system… There was no other outcome, never was, never has been..

So please, ANet, if you want to change something so there will be more build diversity, to move away from stacking and nuking.. fine! But don’t go for the easy way out here, because honestly, you’ll destroy a lot more than is good for the game.. I’m sure you guys are thinking this thing through and I think this thread is a testament of how important your decision is going to be.. This is one thing you CAN’T screw up guys..

Finally someone that gets it

To add to your ideas, how about another way to make it more desirable to bring other specs would be to have the bosses spawn minions when certain conditions are met, for example,
- if dps is to high and the boss will die in 10 seconds spawn veteran minions and the boss is invulnerable until all minions are dead.
- if toughness is to high spawn high damage veteran minions.
- if healing is to high, conditions galore on players.
- if control is to high, stability instead of defiant or a new system to replace defiant that actually works w/o negating 99% of the control archetype.

Also, people very quickly trash the holy trinity as if it was the worst thing ever. Well, it might not be the best thing ever, but a MMO being stuck to three well-defined roles is far more appealing than a MMO being stuck to a single DPS role.

This again !
it has been discussed to death already that your perception of a single DPS role is misinformed, misguided and missing a lot of game knowledge.

just because all you see is DPS, it doesn’t mean that other support and control related things are not going on to.

the problem is people view those other roles in gw2 with kittenty trinity eyes and do not understand how gw2 support works, it’s not wack a mole of here is my meat shield beat on it while others kill you,

There’s talk in this thread about dumb AI, well the trinity AI is even dumber, attacking only the guy that is hurting you the least because he happens to have a skill that generates fake danger making you focus on him alone, now that is lame AI !

Imagine an encounter forces you to operate a machine or a weapon like a mortar in WvW. No evade, no normal skills for you available. Who could operate the device longer when you get constantly damaged? Berserker or bunker?

So you cannot complete a path if you do not have a bunker? How’s that in line with “you can complete pve with any team build”?

requiring a bunker is no different than requiring a tank, shortly after we’d need a wack a mole healer to keep the tank up and be back to the moronic holy trinity.

people talk about beserker being faceroll, which is not true even when stacking you gotta know how to pull, where to stack, what boons to prioritize and what condis to prioritize for removal etc etc, I’ve seen many parties wipe while stacking and not understanding why, some in the party mention but I just did it and it was fine, that is because the majority of that party knew what they were doing.

I understand some do not like to run pure dps builds and that is fine but understand that we are not forcing you to run zerker, please do not force us to lower our gameplay and dungeon clearing for your sake, what happened to play the way you like ?
I like clearing fast and moving on, if you like to smell the roses assemble a group of like minded people and go do the dungeon, while we can keep clearing dungeons the way we like it.

To the actual MMO crowd? It is a good thing.

How so? Where is your source citing the developers statement that the implementation of a subscription fee would mean a shift away from gem shop-driven design or fully-polished content rather than bite-sized filler Living Story content?

The sub itself is used as a mechanic to get people to login in other sub based MMO’s.

I assume you have played a sub based MMO? The payment models define the gameplay.

- this thing is clearly for the chinese market
- since gw2 doesn’t have sub it has time gating !

If I had to guess, it’s a loyalty program to those who buy gems every month. 20 consecutive months of gem purchases yields higher/more rewards than say, 5 months. If that’s the case, then I’m all for it. I usually limit myself to 10 bucks/month anyways.

This sounds like you nailed it square in the center.

I’m not trying to insult ANET, so don’t take it that way. The amount of hype they’re putting forward is dangerous. With the amount of build up and subsequent community letdowns they’ve done, if they screw this up after promising it’ll shake Tyria to it’s very core, then there’s going to be a pretty large group that will finally give up.

I mean it’s just a theory but the hype is a double edged sword, let’s hope they don’t commit seppuku

- In that week I played aion, STO, Rift, Neverwinter, Tera, Eden Eternal, Vindictus, Aura kingdom and so on you get the picture.

Yeah, nice try at Whiteknighting, but i’m calling BS on you.
You claim that in a week, you played all those game and even more? I say you’re liying.
And even if you did, there’s no way you played enough to really know what you where playing.

you assume I would be a 1st time player not a returning player

- traditional RAIDS = fail
- extreme support for addons = fail ( certain add ons become a must, to the point you cannot play w/o them)
- P2P = fail. ( in this day and age, yes it is fail)

Final Fantasy XIV begs to differ.

I know you wish so hard that the incoming games fails… But it won’t likely be the case…
i know you wish gw2 was a failure but that ain’t happening either good luck with that

we can agree to disagree on this one, to me any game that needs to have addons to have a functional UI is fail simply because at some point some add ons become a must and you cannot compete without them which is fail to me

- I also thought Rift had good camera, until I played GW2 and it showed me a real smooth camera.

Yeah, no.
At least don’t lie… Everyone knows that GW2 camera is as bad as it gets, try to do Jumping Puzzle with a big sized Norn or Charr and then come back and let’s talk about smooth camera.

again we can agree to disagree here as well, true there are some camera issues here and there as you have pointed out but the overall experience is a much smoother camera than any other game out there

- Rift interface is nice and all but all the add ons and all the crap on the screen makes it a play the interface not the game itself thing, plus combat is boring as hell.

Yeah, standing in a corned and aoutoattacking it’s the real combat fun, right?

many parties wipe even standing in that corner I wonder why ?
oh right they thought like you only auto attacking, that’s why they wiped lol, the know how has to be there or you will fail even if stacking

- GW2 doesn’t need add ons or any of that crap, it’s a play the game not the interface feeling which I love.

GW2 is deep as a paper sheet, of course it doesn’t need any addon… Even though an in game timer for world bosses and all that crap, whould be useful… Lol.

I agree that gw2 needs more depth (see my post in the latest CDI) but, what does clugging up the interface with a bunch of crap have to do with deep gameplay at all? you seem to think that just because some games require a lot of crap on the screen that it somehow makes them deep, you couldn’t be more wrong sir

- no competition last year, hmm that might be true still doesn’t take away from the fact it is a great game dispite it’s issues.

Yeah, except that the game keeps losing players and sales are dropping from quarter to quarter… In a year where little to no competition showed off…

for this we have no official numbers at all but, look at the server status most are full or on high 80% of the time, look at reddit and how active the gw2 sub reddit is i see multiple new players asking questions every day on a very regular basis.

- if you have not noticed, the single most telling thing about gw2 success is how now all upcoming companies are trying to copy some parts of it to integrate into their own creations instead of trying to continue to copy wow.

Yeah, no.
All the big upcoming games are keeping way far from the GW2 way, from business model to the return at the trinity (followed by deep combat and fighting mechanics), dungeons, raids, good PVP… And most important… An actual end game.

uhu, I’m sure you’re right (sarcasm) cough teso cough wildstar cough EQN

I know the camera in gw2 is not perfect !
but you guys are talking about nit pick issues like, oh i have camera issues when playing a norn or oh i have camera issues while doing JP’s, which yes they do suck but in general other mmo’s have even worse camera issues when you can’t even run and turn properly.

I on the other hand am talking about something much more fundamental than that.
just strolling around running to a mob and the likes shows a smooth camera that when turning doesn’t look like a choppy frame by frame turn, doesn’t make the view of the world go haywire.

I do not fault you if you like your automatic proc’s blocks dodge reflect all is procced in those games it is all about numbers player skill has no place there at all. you could just as well play a spreadsheet called “insert mmorpg name here.xls” and have just as much fun, meaning it’s no fun at all.

go try to beat even an elite equivalent 4 levels higher than you in those games and see how you die horribly.

here you can use your player skill to actually beat it.
you may call dodge what you want but it’s better than automatic no skill proc’s that leave no room for player skills what so ever.

here words like dynamic, action, reaction, twitch, and instinct actually mean something.
no matter how much of these you try in a proc based game like oh all trinity based games to date on the market will allow you to solo kill an elite level mob 4 levels higher than you EVER !

Dodge.

I went back to WoW for a few days when they were offering free play time and the one thing i missed more then anything was dodging, that and moving while casting.

Also the graphics in GW2 are superior to any other mmo.

Every class can cast something while moving. I don’t know why some of the people here insist on being dishonest when describing other games.

umm im not being dishonest, unless they have changed every single caster in WoW to cast while moving in the last few months what i said is 100% true.

WoW is incredibly outdated these days in every aspect, they are desperately playing catch up, look at there new expansion, they have copied paste things from more modern mmos.

Yes, you are. While you can’t cast everything while moving, you can cast some things and you certainly aren’t rooted in one place for a duration of the fight.

It’s more like evolving rather than desperately playing catch up, while GW2 devolved by introducing an obvious, flat out gigantic grind with the introduction of ascended gear.

Warlock 2.5 sec rooted Shadow Bolt fillers and 3 sec rooted Chaos Bolts ftl.

I went back and watched our Heroic kill of Deathwing and it was just awful, sitting there, rocking back and forth casting shadowbolt fillers. Ugh, never again.

Cataclysm ended over a year ago. You obviously don’t even play any more, like most of the others here, and therefore have no idea what you’re talking about.

I will say this, however. Roleplaying a zergling and spamming 1 doesn’t sound like much fun.

if you’re still spamming 1 after a year I’m sorry to tell you this but you’re playing it wrong !

people claim trinity is so much better when in fact it’s less about skill than gw2 is in a big way, I mean all you need is a tank with enough threat to keep the moron AI from ever looking at the guy that is actually stabbing it to death !
how does that take any skill ?

at least in gw2 a lot of unexpected things happen from time to time, you thought the fight would go left when it actually went right, surprise !

those things don’t happen in trinity games ever !

the only oh kitten moment in trinity games is when the tank dies and everyone is forced to fend for themselves. which is what gw2 is all about in trinity the only meaningful players are the tank to generate threat and the healer to mitigate the damage the tank is taking the dps is just dps and all they do is follow rotations while not pulling to much threat away from the tank BORING !!!

removing the threat and removing the clutch of a healer to get you out of trouble is a great change imo.

no threat forces people to think on their feet and react to what is actually going on instead of following a rotation like it is a bible.

I keep hearing people saying that TESO is copying the wvsw system, but people fail to realize that DAOC was doing what gw2 does now over a decade ago, and the lead RvR guy at TESO is the one that orginaly made the DAOC RvR/Wvsw system, so if anyone is copying anything is was gw2, thats just fact.

- you have a point there.
that is wrong, most people think about WvW and think GW is the 1st to do it which it didn’t, but I’m not talking about that particular system at all.

features that before gw2 were barely ever present in any mmorpg I know of.
- shared loot, no more mob tagging, kill stealing teso and wow both have adopted this.
- play on any server in your region, wow introduced phasing teso is doing mega servers essentially a different version with the same goal in mind.
- shared resources, think mining nodes and the like, teso is adapting it i head rumors wow will be to but I’m not 100% sure about it.
- making the experience less grindy and more about fun, a lot of games have gone out of their way to make this happen as of late, wonder why (because of GW@ success of course)
- dodge mechanic is not exactly exclusive to GW2 but it is for mmorpg’s in general
before gw2 no body ever dared implement it now they all want it.
- when did anyone seriously abolish the trinity before gw2 came out ?
sure they implemented some kinks here and their but the holy trinity was always strong with them all !
now they all want something different, even if they do sport some form of trinity it’s not exactly the holy untouchable trinity we used to have, for example making it possible to fulfill multiple roles of the trinity with a single character and such is what they think might work. I don’t think it will but hey their failure is our win.
- there are more features of course these are the ones i can think of, of the top of my head.

I think Arnath is still right though,
the ratio of spells you can cast while moving in those games is severely limited.
for every 18 spells that root you, you might have 2 that allow you to move while casting.

That makes it feel pretty much 100% of the time as if you’re rooted.

I tried aion 4.0 new class gunslinger, it was fun till the rooting annoyed me to much to bother playing.

EDIT
I couldn’t wait for my experiment to expire so I could come back running to GW2 faster than you can say RUN !

it’s the things you take for granted that pull you back to this game.
- deposit collectables.
- account wide wallet.
- freedom.
- the music.
- the environment.
- the combat.
- the feeling that when you press for something to happen it happens instantly not 2 seconds later.
- sound and action synchronization, when you hit something in gw2 it all sounds, feels and looks the way it’s suppose to, the swing, the hit sound and the feedback from the mob that got hit.
- I hate it when in some games you see the swing, hear the sound 2 seconds after, the mob gets hit but doesn’t give feedback till much later and sometimes the wrong feedback at that.
- and so much more it’s overwhelming trying to think about it all and typing it.

Dodge.

I went back to WoW for a few days when they were offering free play time and the one thing i missed more then anything was dodging, that and moving while casting.

Also the graphics in GW2 are superior to any other mmo.

yeah, because of all the people that play it and all the people that recommend others to play it I actually did give it a go some time ago in 2007 or 2008.

I could not believe my eyes !
Back than I was a console player for the most part so I said to myself,
if that is what 12 million people were playing I considered them all morons at that moment.
that is the sorriest most pathetic excuse for a game I had ever seen in my life.
even compared to consoles games of that era the combat was stale and boring as hell.

Now I’m strictly a PC mmorpg player, all my consoles are gone !
I have never played any other game as long as I have played GW2 in my life.
not even FF which is a long time favorite of mine from my console days.

2500 hours and counting.

Rift has bad camera angles and a bad interface? At least it has a highly adjustable interface, what can you do with gw2, oh thats right nothing, i hate neverwinter because you feel pressured to buy zen, but saying that games art work and combat system is inferior is a joke, its ok 2014 is here, this place will be a ghost town buy summer, gw2 had 0 real competition last year, this year will be different.

I dont dislike this game, but acting like its the best thing since sliced bread is pretty stupid.

- I also thought Rift had good camera, until I played GW2 and it showed me a real smooth camera.

- Rift interface is nice and all but all the add ons and all the crap on the screen makes it a play the interface not the game itself thing, plus combat is boring as hell.

- GW2 doesn’t need add ons or any of that crap, it’s a play the game not the interface feeling which I love.

- I didn’t say much about art, you are putting words there that do not belong, artistic taste is different for everyone but if neverwinter is your idea of good art style I say No comment

- no competition last year, hmm that might be true still doesn’t take away from the fact it is a great game dispite it’s issues.

- empty by summer, hahahahah I guess everybody can dream

- if you have not noticed, the single most telling thing about gw2 success is how now all upcoming companies are trying to copy some parts of it to integrate into their own creations instead of trying to continue to copy wow.

- Acting like it’s the best thing since sliced bread is also something you thought of by yourself mate.
no where does it say that at all and I did say it has it’s issues but….
even with it’s issues it’s a hell of a lot better than all the crap out there on the ether.

hmmm

- traditional RAIDS = fail
- extreme support for addons = fail ( certain add ons become a must, to the point you cannot play w/o them)
- P2P = fail. ( in this day and age, yes it is fail)

And with fail I mean it will stay a niche game at best, mainly for the hardcore crowd which is like 10% of the mmorpg community.

- For the particle effects issue, there is actually something that does wonders atm.
SweetFX, has reduced my particle effects problem to the point I can actually see the Boss telegraphs and all, and I’m a melee warrior so.

I purposely didn’t log in to Guild Wars 2 for a week for 2 reasons:

- 1 to prevent burn out.
- 2 to see how I would view the game after a week of playing other mmo’s.

The result is well read on:

- In that week I played aion, STO, Rift, Neverwinter, Tera, Eden Eternal, Vindictus, Aura kingdom and so on you get the picture.

What I found is that:
- They all have awkward camera’s that are not smooth, at all !
- character responsiveness is awful.
- reaction times are awful.
- Boring combat.
- quality of life is none existent, when compared to GW.
- messy, badly coded interfaces, and ugly as hell.
- GCD, this didn’t use to bother me at all now I can’t stand it.
- need target to cast anything, annoying much.
- No global Trading post, yeah I missed it.
- art style, I’m gonna censor myself here.

Conclusion

A lot of people say Guild Wars 2 lacks this and that and whatever.
But I say to you, all those other games are missing a hell of a lot more
that we as GW2 players take for granted everyday.
I believe we have been spoiled so much by all the nice good features of GW2 that now we expect an even higher level of quality and polish

The fact of the matter is give credit where credit is due

Guild Wars 2 is an amazing game with many small things in it we take for granted and because they seem so small you might not give it a second thought and think all games out there have those features, when the reality is, I have yet to see any other game that has as much polish, attention to detail and quality of life features as GW2 has, not even wow comes close to this level of refinement, yes I dropped the elephant in the room !

Many consider wow the pinnacle of polish, well I’m here to tell you that is no longer true and hasn’t been since the day GW2 launched.

I’m not saying GW2 is perfect, cough RNG cough Time gating !
but when put into perspective against all the crap that is swirling the ether,
GW2 is a 24k diamond in the rough

I’m not saying mimic others…
I’m saying they need to come up with a way to introduce armors quicker.
and my point about those other games is not about the looks, it’s more about how the armor fits and such.

I do not wish to be rude or anything like that but,
you really should think about borrowing or hiring armor designers from:

- Aion
- Vindictus
- Assassins Creed

The reason I say this is because it seems you have a hard time designing armor sets at a decently fast rate and most of them have clipping issues or look a bit on the awkward side of things.

Most of the armor sets look way to similar, we need variety.

food buffs and duration stacking

I feel that food buffs could be improved by allowing them to stack duration just like the buffs from the gem store do.

- I run dungeons a lot and I always have asked myself why can’t I stack the duration of say my magic find food beyond it’s 30 minutes window ?
- if it is not possible to stack nourishment duration than how about the introduction of a 2 slot buff bar I can place my food in and have a keybind for each of them ?

I feel that the defiant buff mechanic is not as fun as I would like it to be. How do you feel about this mechanic, and are there any plans to address defiant in the future to make control builds more viable and to improve playability based on my perception that it’s not fun?

Izzy-

I think that’s some great info on time-gating and helps us to understand why you use it. I would add that, in addition to casual-vs-hardcore, you should consider single-vs-multiple character players.

Time gates that might be reasonable for players with a single character could be entirely ridiculous for those of us who have eight.

You might not like this answer but the person who has 8 characters can craft more things quickly, like spiritwood for example, than the guy with just one character.

The guy with just one character might not even be a casual that plays 1 hour a day. He might have 1500 hours in and just really love his class.

So how is this fair to him?

and how is it fair to me ?
I leveled all my toons to 80 why do I need to be punished for the sole benefit of those that have a single character ?

if I have 8 max level characters and i have the time to play say 2 in a day, I should be able to progress them both towards whatever it is I want and NOT be shoe horned and restricted by a time gate that punishes anyone that plays more than 1 single character.

I understand the reasoning behind it and all but…..
they should’ve also thought about those like me that have several toons that are actually played on a regular basis and are not just there to abuse the systems in place or just to make money.

with the current time gate style of one toon rewards, I will never ever go for ascended items on any of my alts even though i play them on a regular basis, the fact i cannot progress them on the same day is just to much.

and let’s not even talk about why ascended armor piece recipes have specific stats on them ? and even though they have stats on them i still need an insignia as well\

if i buy a recipe for boots and an insignia for beserker stats that should be it !
if i want different stats buy a different insignia, the way it was implemented would requires more laurels than what you get in a whole year to actually get all the stat types and that is only for 1 crafting profession.

I’m gonna stop hear I’m getting to worked up already and don’t need any more potential infractions !

Progressive RNG and you

Progressive RNG can be infinitely better than a flat 0.00000000000001% drop rate.
here’s why,

What is progressive RNG?
- Progressive RNG is in it’s simplest terms an RNG system in which your chances to get a specific item you’re after increases by every fail attempt made at that specific item.

Why use progressive RNG?
- Very simple, it allows someone to acquire an RNG based item even if he has the worst luck ever, by simply putting in the effort.
- Think about it as working towards rather than a gambler’s once in a million lucky strike.

Let’s use an example.

- You’re trying to get OP sword of awesomeness
which drops from a specific Boss monster and has a drop rate of 1%
- The progressive RNG variable for this drop is say +0.3% per failed attempt.
- This means that if you’re unlucky enough to not get it in 332 attempts which is highly unlikely seeing as the drop rate after that many attempt would already be beyond 95%
The 333rd attempt using the progressive RNG formula guarantees the item will drop.

The main benefit of progressive RNG is that it is not just based on luck, it also rewards your hard work by adding your progression towards that item to the equation.

My thoughts on progression

Weapon skills
- new weapons skills have been added to all weapon types expanding customization options.
- All weapons skills now have a Tiered power grade ranging from 1-5
- All skills now have a classification, minor, major, superior and master.
- Tier points are awarded to all players starting at level 11, 1 Tier point per level gained for a total of 70, spent these points on your weapon skill tiers to further customize your load out.
- All level 80 players are awarded an initial 30 Tier points, the rest is awarded as you gain skill points aka level up.

How it works
- You can equip 1 minor 2 major 1 superior and 1 master skill.
- soft CC belongs to the major category, hard CC belongs to the superior category.
GS example:
- auto attack = minor Tier it to make it hit faster or increase cleave to 5 targets
- 100 blades = master Tier it to either hit harder or hit faster
- whirlwind = major Tier it make it spin on location or hit harder
- blade trail = major Tier it to make the CC last longer or travel further
- rush = superior Tier it to increase distance or reduce CD

Defiant Boss buff
- Defiant has been replaced by Resilience.
Resilience:
- CC has been split into 2 categories
- Soft CC: cripple and chill.
- Hard CC: Blind, fear, daze, stun, knock back, knock down, blowout.
- How it works, the Boss resilience meter fills up the more CC is used on him when the resilience bar is full the boss becomes enraged and is immune to all forms of CC and is more prone to use his elite attacks more frequently, use your CC sparingly and only when necessary.
soft CC adds 1.5 points to the resilience meter, hard CC ads 3 points, the bar total is 12.
- once the resilience bar is full it will only start to decay after say 15 seconds, it decays faster the longer you abstain from using CC abilities on the Boss.

Time gating
- Time gating needs to be adjusted so that alts can be progressed on the same day as the main character, make the items account bound but at least, if I have 8 toons don’t limit my progression to just my main.
- here’s a thought, all these once per day resources could be adjusted to work for example like this: for every level 80 toon you have the time gate extends by 1 per day, this way if I have 8 maxed level toons I can gather the resource 8 times.
goes w/o saying but all of the gathered resources should be account bound even the end item itself in order to prevent economy disruption.

Hard mode dungeons
- make it crazy hard, not for the faint of heart but also rewarding.
no whites, no blues, no greens, no rares, increased chance at exotics+ by a lot.
account bound named weapons after the bosses with unique skins.
you want the skin you gotta kill that boss yourself to get it, it adds prestige.
I’d rather get no drop and just some coin rather than all the vendor trash.

elite skills
- their is a need for more weapon specific and types of elites, what I mean is:
- all weapons should have at least 2 elite skills available to them.
- from a warrior’s perspective I’d love some dragon slash elite on my sword for example.
- stances, shouts physical type elite’s that interact with your traits.

Controversial Changes
make legendary items account bound upon creation just like you did with ascended.
- this would give back the prestige legendary items should have, it adds a sense of wow you got that ! instead of the you bought it from the TP feeling.
- precursors are now account bound, drop rates have been increased meaningfully.
- rich orichalcum ore node outside of JP has been added for those that do not enjoy jumping but would like to get access to this resource, no one should be forced to jump if they do not want to.
Legendary node protector actively protects the node and cannot be lured away from node has to be killed before the node can be mined.
- TP minimum outbidding price difference of 5% has been introduced to prevent 1 copper outbids. this percentage goes up as the rarity of the item goes up.
