The problem is not that ascended takes too long to get; the real problem was that exotics were far too easy to get.

I got my exotics from the tradepost, because sure as hell i dont get them as drops.

and who do you think is to blame for exotics becoming to easy to acquire ?

The QQ community of course at launch token acquisition was just right to make exotics the end game gear it was meant to be than a.net buckled to all the QQ about tokens being to hard to get result: they upped it to 60 tokens per run and right there and than exotics as an endgame gear was totally and utterly obliterated. it suddenly became far to easy to get exotics.

which in turn resulted in the necessity to introduce a new end game gear that was NOT easy to get a LONG TERM GEAR TYPE

and so the ascended blunder started.

We, the community are the ones responsible for this blunder not the dev’s and not the direction of the game but the QQ community is.

sad how a minority can ruin a game.

I cry for all the altoholics out there.

I have four level 80 characters, and I don’t have as many as a lot of people I know.

Level up three different crafting professions to 500? Talk about expensive.

Craft 24 pieces of armor total for all my level 80s? Talk about grind.

Not looking forward to it.. at all.

hmm up to now it hasn’t been that hard tbh.
I have 7 lv 80 with all 2x exotic armor sets each and all weapons and at least 1x ascended trinkets set.
my main has 2 ascended weapons and 3x ascended trinket sets, and my main alt has also 2 ascended weapons.

I will admit though that it does get expensive fast very fast but I wouldn’t say it’s difficult. now the time gating and once a day per account, that is what I hate the most !!!
it keeps me from gearing my alts properly.

Twice I’ve gotten to the Boss room in this fractal and twice it has been bugged !!!
he starts talking than nothing happens. !!!

on that note,
those annoying vents reset timers need to go !!!
once a geyser is plugged it should stay plugged PERIOD !!!

Say 2 servers are tied for 3rd place, how will you (A.net) break the tie ?
1 – will you give 3rd place to the one with the highest score for the last week match up ?
2 – will you give both servers 3rd place rewards ?

I personally think option 1 is better, give 3rd place to the one with the highest score.

Gold League:

1st- Blackgate: No brainer, even if they lose week 7 somehow they still take 1st place.
2nd- Jade Quary: also a no brainer.
3rd- Tarnished Coast: This is where it get’s interesting, since JQ helped TC keep SoR in 3rd place for week 6, that ties TC and SoR for 3rd place going into week 7 with 18 points each.Now the only other time TC had the same matchup as in week 7 was in week 1 which they won against SoS and Maguma.
so, TC will win 1st place in week 7, JQ and BG have nothing to lose or gain with week 7 matchup, so my prediction is JQ will beat SoR down to 3rd place for revenge and knock them off 3rd place locking TC’s 3rd place win.

I don’t know crap about the other leagues so I won’t talk about them.

COF gives 1.2 gold; FOTM lv. 31 gives 1.3?

How does this make sense? COF path 1 takes roughly 10 minutes. Lv. 31 fractals take about an hour.

This scale would make a lot more sense:
Lv. 1-10: 1 gold
Lv. 11-20: 2 gold
Lv. 21-30: 3 gold
Lv. 31-40: 4 gold
Lv. 41-50: 5 gold

This would make a lot more sense, given the time commitment and difficulty required and a simple comparison to dungeons rewards.

1st of all CoF takes 6.1/2 minutes to finish.
2nd 1g30s for a lv 30 fractal is insulting !
3rd what the bleep is A.net thinking !
4th adaptive rewards per fractal lv bracket is what I expected when they announced a revamp.
5th the OP gold to difficulty ratios is what I expected to get

Molten Berserker horribly unbalanced

The molten berserker can oneshot the entire party, including players with over 3k armor. I’m playing at level 33, with the Outflanked debuff. Is the outflanked debuff bugged?

Also,

There’s a general balance issue atm…..
if you get jade maw as bonus boss event it’s a walk in the park
but, if you get molten you have to work a lot harder it becomes 4 fractals instead of 3 and a bonus boss event.

Jade maw should be made more difficult / challenging to bring the difficulty up to par with the new ones.

or bring them all down to match jade maw.
I would personally rather see jade maw brought up to the others in difficulty.

This is what I see happening with league rewards, it will be such a let down that it will explode on the forums with malcontent and people raging.

I think those servers who have less people are done more to get those points. So perhaps the reward should get divined by the number of peeps. That would serve right for those players who fled from one server to another to chase rewards… like runaways from Gunnars Hold. Right Latinkuro

That would be implying I transferred servers specially for leagues !
I transferred for 2 main reasons:

1- I moved to the Caribbean, so playing on a US server ensures lag free play for me rather than stay on an EU server.
2- I found a great guild with the right mission statement for me to join, they simply happen to be on BG, 3 weeks after my transfer WvW season 1 was announced. label me lucky I guess.

Also while on Gunnar’s I never ever played WvW at all it was always an unorganized mess.
on BG I started playing WvW and loved it so much I went from Rank 1 to 100+ in the few weeks that league has been going on.

Rarity frames are ingame now, awesome.
My suggestion came to life in the game I’m super happy, and proves a.net does listen to good ideas when they make sense.

inventory options, the gear at the right corner of inventory and select show rarity frames.

The overall philosophy of the game is actually not bad, but there is one big difference, PVE and PVP is not the same, specially if you make it a competition.
PVE loot sharing is all cozy, warm, touchy feelings and meant to be social and community building.

pvp is competitive and cut throat, I win you lose kind of world.

Trust me, you don’t want that, WvW is not a competitive game like PvP is, as long as there is a population disparity it will never be a competitive gamemode.

Immagine if you win, you get like 100g more than any other server and some ascended equippements, then what will happen when anet introduce the second season ?

Your server will be assaulted by bandwagoners, you will sit in queue for 10+ hours.

I do hope that the only difference will be the finisher.

WvW is not meant to be balanced on an individual 1v1 level as sPVP is

I wouldn’t be so sure and jump to the conclusion BG might win season 2, hell we’re not yet sure if BG is winning season 1.

You should remember that this is not the real life.

Exactly. Anet’s design philosophy is so not real life and so “everybody wins.” That’s why everyone gets individual loot bags per tagged kill, why everyone gets the same experience regardless of who landed the last blow on a monster, etc. Guild Wars 2 from the ground up was designed to be a very generous, we all win sort of game.

If you can’t handle that, maybe you should stop playing and find another game, Mr. blackgate.

I really hope the rewards ain’t that big. Every player that obtained the season key should get a somewhat similar reward, regardless of the end rank of the server.

this is part of what is wrong with this 21st century society and the mentality that everybody is a freaking winner even if you lost.

I used to hate it in swtor when people that lost a battle ground complain on the forums because their reward was to low compared to the winners, I mean seriously you LOST be happy you got a consolation prize for losing !

go to a casino and bet some money, you lost, than demand some of the money back because everybody is a winner even if they lose, see what happens, I know real world example and all but seriously it does fit.

I’m on BG and I personally don’t care for the rewards since they’ll likely be just as good as the achievement chests from completing some of the achievements. What I do care about is that we still get some good fights.

Nobody cares about the rewards now, simply because most of the rewards are shrouded in mystery, aside from the all unimportant finisher that truly nobody cares about.

and than out of no where BAM precursors and 500g for every 1st place winner and THAN everybody cares and kittenes about how unfair the rewards are and how they are a member of the winning server but didn’t bother getting the wvw reward key.

A.net buckles to the QQ and gives the key to everyone on the server w/o the need to have finished the meta in order to appease the QQ’ers !

that’s what I’d hate to see the most tbh.
you didn’t bother finishing the meta tough luck, try again next season !

Often in tournaments if there’s two teams at the top and two teams at the second tier, then they give two first place awards and two third place awards. At least, that’s how I would do it.

Ever heard of tie breaker ?
in gw2 terms that would MEAN, taking the 2 tied servers for 1st place and giving 1st place to better overall point score leaving the tie loser in 2nd place.

like the title says,
implement a signup system for leagues.
This would solve 2 issues with 1 stone.

1- prevents transferring with the intention to sabotage other servers.
2- pve players can still transfer at will.

Once you signup for league season 2 your account is locked to that server for the duration of leagues season 2, you will not be able to transfer any characters to any other server period.

Also, I’m fairly certain that most of them at least don’t have any special powers, I think they play on retail accounts. The Anet tag by their name is a guild that they’re all in.

No its like another version of a commander tag.

That is already fixed.
You will get rewards based on the server you were on the first time you logged in after season started.
Not the server you are playing on at the end.

Server transfers should be completely disabled during league time PERIOD !

simply limiting rewards to original server doesn’t fix all possible issues, like guilds transferring off their own server with the purpose to sabotage other servers effort while said server is fighting their original server.

example,

you belong to BS server and next week you’re fighting DD server you instruct some of your players to transfer over to DD server with orders to sabotage their efforts against BS server next week, supply drain, leaking commander positional information and so on.

I’m sure our player restrictions don’t apply to DEV accounts, come on think !
They made the game, they can play WvW on any server they choose whenever they choose.

The fact you saw some of them on one server doesn’t mean squat.
if they wanted to they could 1 hit kill everyone in sight and have immortality on for their characters if they so wished.

The points system in WvW seriously needs overhauling. I find it ludicrous that the victor is usually determined by how much coverage a server has during off-peak hours (aka nightcapping). It’s pretty demoralizing when your server is on top during peak hours and holding several T3 keeps only to get home from work the next day to find that all the progress the server made was lost overnight or during working hours simply because they had more players online during that coverage gap. No wonder people play dead, because quite honestly, their contributions mean next to nothing unless they’re willing to play overtime. Basically, which ever server has more Oceanic players will normally win since WvW is won during off-peak hours.

Example: JQ had a lead of up to 4-5k over the weekend and quickly lost that lead once the weekend was over simply because BG had more players to fill in coverage gaps than JQ did.

so basically what you’re saying is that the war effort needs to stop because you need to go to bed, ridiculous even in real wars when the day shift soldiers need to sleep the night time soldiers guard their backs so the enemy doesn’t kill them in their sleep or wipe them out in a surprise attack during the night.

the same principle applies to WvW seeing that it is a 24/7 permanent war going on.
simply conquering territory is not enough ! conquered territory needs to be defended, to defend said territory you need coverage, peak and off peak.

This crying about losing a T3 tower or keep during off peak hours screams of poor coverage, it is not the other server’s fault you are ill prepared and do not have the coverage to defend your conquered territory.

war is not just about killing, it is about supply lines, comm lines aka TS, and back end things that need to be taken care of even before you start killing the enemy like logistics aka coverage

Real war has a lot in common with WvW.
- there are no rules in war.
- the better equipped and better prepared will prevail.
- no mercy for your enemy.
- the enemy of my enemy might be my friend, at least temporarily while our common interests are aligned.

every server knew WAR aka season 1 was coming
How each server used the time before season 1 to prepare and plan their war effort is very important.

some wars are won even before the 1st shot was ever fired
what is happening now is a reflection of the preparation plans of each individual server before the season started.

I 2nd this motion, it would keep pure pve players that have no interest in wvw out of it. freeing up valuable wvw slots for people that actually want to play wvw and help their server by playing the objectives instead of achievement hunting !

Tired of seeing this situation, a commander asks on TS please skip the sentry/toxic alliance do not give away our position, half the group goes for the stupid pve mobs and ruins the surprise attack, results in a wipe due to moronic pve players.

I’m not saying wvw players don’t do achievements from time to time, but there is a time and place for this sort of thing, wvw players know when to prioritize the fight / objective over a mere achievement.
That’s the main difference between a pve player and a wvw player.

replaying old cinematics / replaying old LS content can easily be done with an old gw1 trick the scrying pool

about cinematics:

CGI cinematics will never be better than ingame style cinematics for one simple reason:
- CGI cinematics are always over the top and nothing of what happens in them can be accomplished ingame, while the newer style cinematics are all about ingame possible things, that hypes me up more than some over the top CGI BS.

remember how good swtor CGI’s were ?
the game tanked and one of the reasons was people expected to be able to move and do some of the things portrayed in those cinematics.

if fractal weapons are suppose to be weapons, give them ascended stats.
if they are suppose to be skins make them proper skins, not this BS that they are at the moment !

1- remove cripple effect from sword auto attack and replace with torment.
2- remove internal CD from leg specialist trait.

results in:

1- no QQ from perma immobilize from sword auto attack cripple.
2- AOE cripple on hammer works as intended and cripples plus immobilizes all targets hit

there, both issues solved a.net.

The solution is:
1 – Replace Criple in Sword auto attack for another effect. Torment would be a good option.
2 – Remove CD of this trait.

Easy!

- The internal CD on leg specialist was placed for the sake of AC in WvW, that is wrong.

another anet stop gap measure, nerf the trait instead of fixing the siege !

Tbh, I could care less about sword cripple / immobilize that is a single target skill and is working kinda as intended, my beef with leg specialist is that it doesn’t work properly with AOE cripple.

A sword cripple is an single target cripple and under the effects of leg specialist also adds immobilize to a single target, this works fine seeing as the original ability is after all a single target cripple, but…….!

hammer cripple is a conal AOE cripple, but under the effects of leg specialist it doesn’t immobilize all crippled targets but just the measly 1st target that is crippled.

I do not believe that leg specialist is working properly when it comes to AOE cripple at all, in fact I’d say it’s a waste for anything but single target cripple abilities.

leg specialist should discern between single target and aoe abilities.
meaning if an ability is originally an aoe cripple it should add immobilize to all crippled targets NOT just the 1st one to get hit.

LS Achievement skins account & reusable

Just a thought but…
We earn all these skins from doing LS achievements, but they are all single use !
skins are the endgame of this particular game, skins collecting is what drives us forward
it is a pity to collect a skin and have it be 1 time use only.

maybe transmutation stones market will suffer but, the game would be so much better if the AP skins were all account bound and multiple use just like the zenith skins.

Also, PVE wardrobe is needed I know it has bee said many times but since there’s no mention of it by any official channels I keep bringing it up.

Why is it that only PVP players can actually collect skins ?
that seems unfair I wanna keep all my cool looking skins to w/o having to choose one over the other allowing me to change my looks whenever I want, and no transmutation stone is not a solution, I would still need to choose the one over the other.

for visibility reasons I think dead player name tags should change color to grey or something different than the red name you see when an enemy player is alive.

I hate it when I fire a huge AOE in the middle of a group of enemy players to only realize seconds later that most are dead players, totally wasting my big CD AOE abilities.

from a warrior’s perspective,
we are weapons masters yet none of our elites have anything to do with our weapons
for example in gw1 there were elite skills for all weapon types. for example, sword elite skills, axe elite skills, hammer elites and so on.

some gw1 skills like
Bull’s charge!
backbreaker!
have been incorporated into the gw2 skill system but have completely lost their elite status.

elite examples:
Decapitate!
dragon slash

I’m not saying make gw2 just like gw1 but, incorporating great gw1 systems and skills would be a good idea moving forward, it would add to build variety as well.

Also, just giving a skill a huge CD doesn’t make it elite just a thought !

This is how I envision elite skills should work.

- instead of just having a CD and cast time, they should require secondary and in some more powerful versions also a tertiary condition that has to be met in order to gain access to the skill.

Let’s take Dragon slash!
as an example,

Dragon Slash gw2 version:

activation requirements
1- Dual wielding swords.
2- below 50% health.

What the skill would actually do:

1- Each sword attack landed would multiply the dmg of the next hit by +15%
2- damage received would be lowered by 2.5% with each hit received.
3- each hit heals for 1.5% of damage dealt with each hit.
4- after skill deactivation (manual deactivation) you are fatigued, lowering your total HP & movement speed by 5% per second the skill was active and preventing Dragon Slash activation for that duration as well.

Dragon Slash Animation
- swords are imbued with the energy of a dragon’s soul, glowing in the color of the dragon killed while acquiring the skill, the longer you use the skill the more prominent the glow.

Dragon slash requires no CD or duration, because of it’s activation requirements and fatigue mechanics, making it a powerful build defining double edge weapon, the longer you use it the more powerful it becomes but also the longer and more powerful the debuff you will suffer after deactivation.

Skill acquisition:
- Elite quest line, named “The Dragon Hunter” (solo instance only)
- Track and destroy the descendant of (insert name) Dragon.
- Skill can only be acquired by defeating the dragon while using dual wield swords any other combination of weapons and you will fail to learn the skill.
- When you find it and destroy it consume it’s essence to learn the skill.

Keep & castle lord ressing is out of hand and is broken very broken !
This is so simple, seeing as you gave PVE NPC’s a down state !

keep lord down you can res him with a banner,
keep lord dead banner ressing doesn’t work just like it doesn’t work on dead players
there problem solved.

and does it count towards the meta at all ?

everytime there’s a decent enough warrior build it gets nerfd
learn from launch anet, when you nerfd GS warriors in sPVP it took us a year to get back to a decent place.

reducing warrior hammer dmg by a whopping 20% is to big a nerf

you can transmog silver to gold and so on but you CANNOT transmog copper to silver it might not be a bug but it is an oversight that recipe is clearly missing !

anyone that says otherwise clearly either already has a juggernaut or is trying to profit from the ridiculous price inflation of the kitten silver doubloons.

oh, so asking for it to give 1 skill point per day is OP
how about the people that get 30 skill points from champion loot bags or people like myself that get 15-25 skill points per day from dungeon running ? I guess that is extremely OP from your perspective than.

I can go to garrison if I need a place of power !
as a place of power inside my home instance the least I was expecting is for it to reset every 24 hours that would actually be something worth having in there !
but, just a place of power is not really anything special at all !
