It really is becoming a sad state for every other tier to challenge either of these 2 servers on a fair battle ground if they are in the same match up.

My penthouse in Rata Sum is carpeted in Quarrian skin rugs, so soft and easily walked upon. Why does BG the moment it takes the lead start posting complaints about 2v1? It’s quite possibly the oddest trend I’ve ever seen in a server. o.0

Look, it’s been real fun, but if I have to fight you all again next week, I’m going to pee on my laptop and set it on fire. So, let’s all put our quarters in the wish machine and hope that one of us, at least, gets to play 2 new opponents, that we everyone at least gets a chance to face one new server.

To be fair, it should be SoR who fights 2 new servers. Then, there might actually be a chance that those new servers would band together to take down SoR or at least make it a good fight.

Lets face it. Scores haven’t been close for a while. Even when BG gets new guilds, it doesn’t seem to help them get closer. The only thing that will bring interest back to the ‘lesser T1 servers’ is new blood. It’s no fun pulling out all the stops and playing to your best ability only to have someone just throw more bodies at you to win. When you beat that havoc squad and then 20 reserves show up, so you beat them back then 50 more reserves show up. To take a camp. That your guarding with 5 people.

So, hopefully JQ and BG will get a brief respite from the Hoard of Rall and get to fight even numbers for a little while. I mean, seeing as how neither server will even consider helping the other against SoR ever.

But if the oh so predictable matchup happens again (we all know it will), then I think we’re going to see a lot of attrition due to boredom from all 3 servers… At least on JQ/BG we have the challenge of beating the superior numbers and craptastic double teams… what does SoR get for a challenge? A door? Those 5 guys standing in the way of your 50 man zerg at spawn tower?

I’ve been on the top server before ticking 600 against zero resistance and it’s no fun. How long before SoR gets bored? because even with a new match up for them… there won’t be much better competition than BG/JQ. It’s the curse of being the top server. SoS saw it, JQ saw it. Now, SoR folks are starting to see it. There’s nothing special about being first when you have twice as many players even in prime time…

Let’s see if they can survive the death spiral!

Our commanders are extremely strict on mission command & control and they expect us to adhere strictly to set timings for keep/tower attacks. We have to follow engagement rules as dictated by the guild rules & regulation charter.

Guy, if you really wanna fight TW get a guild and assault one of our holdings. JQ could really use your help taking some objectives, they’ve got way too many solo players kitten around when they’re needed. This WvW stuff is a team sport, and your team needs you to drop the sPvP schtick and be effective. I’m not sure why you’re running around in WvW solo in a bunker build… Are you even defending anything? Do you realize you couldn’t seem sillier if you stick a red ball on your nose and got some floppy shoes?

Of course we just run by you. We run by the veteran ice worms all the time too.
Are we skeered of the Ice Worms too? Or do we just have more important things that our team needs us for? Because TW is a team, nobody gets a vanity tag to then run around doing whatever. That’s what we’re out there for, each other. That and beating up your servermates who are also trying to be a team, and would likely really appreciate you doing something more productive than getting ran over solo by a TW group passing by.

I hear arrowcarts are fragile, and one placed open field adds an element of urgency.
See a build site? Better move quick. Towards or away. Even a guardian can kill one before it gets off a third shot, but if noone tries they’ll pay dearly. Just another one of them coordination things people love to understate.

When you stack up and buff before a fight, you not only waste half the buff duration but also give your opponent time to reposition. We love seeing pre-buffers, count to six then enjoy easy mode with opponents stuff on cool down.

The random matchups might have been a good thing 4 months ago, but with the 3 of us so stacked as we are now it won’t. I remember well fighting a 24 hour server with no international presence of our own, it’s kinda depressing. You don’t have to be much below t1 to run into 16 hour ghost towns. Personally, I think that’d be far worse for a community then facing the only balanced matchup available repeatedly.

Watching is different from participation, you should know that preparing a gvg requires time and effort to get to form your team. Need everyone to be traited properly and geared properly. Thats where all the theory crafting comes in, some people love to experiment build synergies but this will take a lot of time to test.

For [TW] at least, we kinda just show up for the GvG’s with what we have online and skip all the technical schizzle bizzle. But that is how Indo developed TW to be.

Maybe they need an Indo of their own. If Indo has rallied as many SoR as he has on an underpopulated server, there is no reason why another leader cannot do the same on a FULL server.

Last I checked SoR does not have a monopoly on community building and leadership.

Each TS server is run on a different one iirc. Epi told us on (JQ) that he has them all on different ISP as well so if one gets hit the rest don’t go down. JQ/SoR TS are hosted on server’s not spare computers for one. Secondly they get DDos/trolled (Soundboards random people joining etc) because they aren’t passworded and it happens. To think anyone from either server is involved is a large stretch. It happens JQ got DDOS’d so hard before the ISP threatened to drop our TS server as a client. Once again the more used a TS server the more likely it will be hit for the heck of it and based on usage they will try and hit it at or around peak time which is noticeable from the link someone posted earlier.

I don’t know how things are on JQts nowadays, but the channel officers are quick draws with the banhammer. Especially with unverifieds and visitors. AND beyond that, even a well intentioned opponent won’t be welcome in combat channels. Guild rooms by invite.

I’ve seen Mrs. Thais, TW’s own, give a third-rope flying elbow without so much as a peep.

I think you misunderstand me. I was joking about listening to indo lol. I have only been in your combat channel 1 time and it was months ago when I was invited in by a friend of mine in choo and I made sure to not be in wvw while listening to them.

Since then I have never been in any of your combat channels. I was not even on the ts when I got banned. I told them about the karaoke and that I would stop in later and when I tried to stop in that night I was banned.

The person that banned you probably had no idea about any of this so it wasn’t done with any malice on our part.

I know all the servers talk kitten and it can get out of hand but it has been a huge pleasure fighting against BG and JQ for this amount of time. The quality of these servers is seriously second to none and it is going to be a sad day when the match ups get changed because I genuinely enjoy fighting you guys, even when you gank my staff ele like 5 times in a row. :p

So I will banned them, I’m not sure whether I banned killer.
I banned about 1-3 guys last week.

karaoke is good idea, our guild do this on friday night, it’s very fun.
but TS’s voice quality is awful for sing. so we used RC.

Better to be too harsh than too lenient.
TS is for commanders and for coordination. That’s why its there, other interests not so much.
