Gold is a number though…… If you transfer gold, all there is from that is a log and an exchange in numbers. It’s not like each piece of money can have it’s own ID number….
Consider that thought and how gold can quickly move around the server after it’s theft.
They could make it so that all items associated with the account that is getting rolled back, get deleted from the system just before the account is taken to a previous backup point. All items should technically have their own ID. No duplicate problem! Gold is another issue though, sadly.
Actually ArenaNet has discussed and mentioned the implementation of a system that allows for the recovery of damages incurred upon an account in the event of hacking, or damages resulting from corruption or game errors. They however mentioned that this would apply to an entire account. I assume that whoever took items from the account would get banned along with it. So if that were the case, I’d recommend in such a ticket to declare who your friends are, and any alternate accounts you play with, just incase any friendly items went their way before being hacked (to prevent them from getting banned with the hacker).
I myself am a bit hesitant on this kind of thing, because rolling back an account not only means deletion of progress, but also duplication of items that were moved away from the account. Thus to deal with this kind of issue, you basically gotta ban where the items went. How many hops of those items will be considered bannable? Who will get banned? What kind of appeal will take place for such a situation where innocent people get caught up by traded items that they didn’t know were stolen?
But Versz, don’t you think it’s a bit extreme to quit when you know from the naming policy that the guild name was in the wrong? ArenaNet doesn’t write up rules for them to be ignored and unenforced.
As trivial as you may think this is, this is the domain of ArenaNet, and they think the name isn’t appropriate. Otherwise, what other reason do they have for deleting the guild? Also I believe I remember reading somewhere that ArenaNet does not yet have the ability to edit the name of a guild.

I would love to advise you on how to avoid this problem in future, but I honestly don’t know what is causing this issue. But from what you said, looks like you won’t have problems with that debit card anymore. Simply put, it’s blocked.

Oh!! I have had this problem before. I had to try repairing the game files to fix it. I thankfully had a copy of the game handy to patch from, to resolve the issue. I’m sure there is probably another way to repair the game files, but the method I used was stated in my post. I have no idea what made the bug happen.
Further info: My problem happened with my main character, and I didn’t think at the time to test the problem with an alt character. Didn’t matter anyways because re-patching the latest patches from an old copy of the game fixed the problem for me.
Did you say the word “gold” in any chat? Did you trade any large sums of gold with no same value trade? Some players have reported that using that word can get you banned, regardless of the context. Fact is, their system does data analysis of traffic on their servers, and when certain circumstances arise, the people involved are flagged. Meaning you can get banned in this game for not actually breaking a rule, just simply doing something the system thinks is criminal behavior. Also, wanna post up the ticket number? It looks like you have a case. Make sure you have “all” information in regards to not only the matter at hand, but also personal information in regards to the account, such as the character name, account name, the serial code, date of purchase, anything else you can use to identify that this is your stuff.
Don’t worry, you’ll get enough points as said before to completely get all your skills. Of course the lesson learned here is that you shouldn’t let people onto your account other than yourself. It’s your responsibility. Of course irl if somebody damages your property when they borrowed it off you, they are liable for the damages, even if it’s your own stuff. You could make him pay up for abusing your stuff while it was in his hands in good faith, if possible? At least you can earn more points, just going to be more tough to do so for the skills you want. Also it’s not ArenaNet’s fault, they will not intervene for player fault in this case.
Really doubt the logitech profile program and razer synapse would cause any sort of bans by being idle or even just used as a regular keyboard and mouse. Lots of people have those programs installed and don’t even consider it a problem. It’s like owning a car, but choosing not to drive it into a kindergarten (because that would be evil to do). Banning all cars off the road cause somebody might use it as a missile is silly. Same for this.
So it is an automated bot banner. I certainly hope customer support understands that logs only tell half the story. If you push your playerbase around like this, it will hurt just as bad as not banning the bots. You think players want to live in fear of not knowing if their real game play is going to suddenly be determined as a bot, then have to jump up and down in customer support, hoping somebody doesn’t decide to finalize the ban? Remember that we are not criminals until proven guilty. Please!
How do you defend against bans like this? Playing the game clean as yourself with no assistance programs, get banned, how do you convince customer support that you were playing real? Would I have to setup a camera to video record myself playing the game at my computer chair?

I don’t wanna get banned for something I detest and hate. Botters kill games. And now it looks like the bots are winning yet again. Should I feel safe logging into the game?
Is it safe to play right now? I keep seeing lots of people saying they got banned for not “botting”. I know that when it comes to ANet, don’t mess around. But if we’re going to get banned for following the rules….. what? I really doubt this is a case of FUD. Why would all these different people unrelated to each other be posting the same problem all at about the same time?
