That would be Lolicon, not Loli. Wrong! Loli is short for lolita meaning pre-teenage girls. There is only a problem when somebody applies a context. The same can be said for the word hole, and balls. In the case of my name, there is no use of a context, therefore the default meaning is applied. There is no reference to sexual acts. Personally though, it’s just a name, and it doesn’t characterize me as a person.

Yeah that is a good argument to use in defense. The OP could say that he was referring to in-game acts. But I don’t know how well that will go.

Your name was in breach of the Guild Wars 2 Naming Policy. The policy does not permit the use of names that depict real life violence. You may contest this decision with customer support, however good luck with that.
Obviously they want you to wait for the feature to be implemented, rather than tying down support doing it manually. How else do you explain it?

To delete a character a box pops up verifying which character you are about to delete and forces you to type in that character’s name before hitting the delete button. How more idiot proof do you need? You want Arenanet to waste resources on creating a better prevention of accidental deletion than that?

Hackers these days are getting creative. Stealing information from, or using their own created 3rd party sites, even if not related to Guild Wars 2. They use the acquired list to attack. Anet has mentioned how the hackers are using accounts and passwords that don’t even exist in the database. This is why you use a unique email and password for Guild Wars 2, or anything that you value.
Also the reason why software security has continual updates is because hackers find a new way to hack you.
End of the day, you can only do so much to protect yourself. Since hackers are evolving, our information on protecting ourselves from theft also must be kept updated.
Can’t get into my sons account and his email is full of emails about someone from China trying to access his account. I can’t even find the serial key so not sure what to do. All games need to just block China from playing.
I’m sorry to inform you, hackers can get around that kind of blocks. As long as ANet security is not compromised, then you can really only do your up-most to ensure that they don’t get a foot through the door into your account. Part of this involves learning how to protect yourself from account theft.
You need to contact customer support. You have the new code, that’s good. Anet can help you put the code on the account and get you playing again.
Well so far it seems you’re not convincing Anet. They already said according to you in a previous ticket, they will not help you. Keep trying with customer support. But in worst case situation, you may be looking at buying a new copy of the game, or just quitting. It’s not something we want to think about, let alone do. As I said, which you are doing, keep trying with customer support.
Yeah, when a hacker gets your identifying information, they can claim they are the original owner. But when both contest ownership with the same details, it can end up forcing Anet to either take a side, or take neither side and lock the account. This is why I don’t keep sensitive information in emails and avoid keyloggers.
File a ticket. Get your order number, cd-key, account info, and the surrounding information that created the problem, and contact customer support.

these are all tickets of separate incidents involving the forums. Does arenanet not currently provide support to forum issues, or is it all handled by the non anet moderators themselves? who do they answer to and why will they or arena net not respond to the tickets opened?

If you wish to complain about something, you can update an existing ticket, but submitting four seems excessive.
actually Gail, ANYTIME you send an email to Forums@arena.net, it opens a support ticket, and the ticket goes unanswered, and the anet employees i reach out to say to send an email to that same address. SO what you are basically telling me… is that if we have an issue with the forums, forget it, since no one at arenanet handles the issues and that any real problems are considered to be simple complaints? I will take your high suggestion into consideration but I am following the directions of yourself and others to send emails to the Forums@arena.net address…. and it opens a support ticket, only to be told not to open said tickets as it is excessive. see the viscous circle of confusion and lack of support? why cant someone just own it, and say that the forums are basically a non supported area and that arena net leaves it to its own devices? would be much better than sending us on wild goose chases with an email address (forums@arena.net) that just goes to a trashcan.

I sent an email to that address, took a while for them to reply, but they did. It’s not a trash can, it’s just slower than you’d hope for.

Playing the game now, and then getting restored means you lose your progress; but you also gain what was lost.
I believe ANet staff have mentioned that this is something they will possibly consider for future features, but I honestly don’t know how effective that’s going to be, considering a proxy can walk right around that kind of thing.
Also this thread should be under suggestions sub-forum. Maybe a moderator will move this thread there.
You could always make Windows remind you to keep the email active using scheduled tasks, making it note you a reminder message. You know how to do that right?
Why not just make an email for him and you control the email? It’s just a suggestion. Make sure you don’t lose the email.
Also doubting you can have 2 accounts under 1 email cause the account username is the email address.

I can only suggest to keep trying again later. I doubt the problem is at your end (why would it be?).
If you file a ticket with Anet customer support asking them to release the account for a new serial code, they can assist you. The only time they cannot assist you, is if you were the one to do a charge back for the money. But since you didn’t do that kind of thing(?), you should be successful in your request. Just something to keep in mind, when Anet refuses a game purchase, and not you, the funds are either returned to you, or your money is not charged to begin with.
Also make sure to include all the necessary information in your customer support ticket. Don’t make multiple tickets (it’s not like making more will make the process go faster), simply add new information to an existing ticket if it’s applicable. Make sure to wait 3 days before posting in that thread, else all you’ll get is a message saying that “3 days has not elapsed yet, please be patient”.

Well you really need to prove to customer support that you own the account, before they can assist you. If you can’t convince them that you are the account owner, then that’s as far as things go.
They apparently don’t want people exploiting the terrain. The AI governing the monsters is only able to do so much to navigate the world, and attack you.
There was another guy who had a problem of changing to wrong servers problem. However his problem was where he joined a server but somehow it was full, and the code governing the whole thing decided to throw him from American servers to EU servers. Customer support said that he still had to wait the 7 day cooldown between changing servers before they could help him.

You’re basically suggesting that the IP address be used as a “machine identifier”. Unfortunately, it can’t be used that way due to the prevalence of DHCP for IP address assignment. There are a lot of people whose IPs change quite frequently. It is perfectly normal for someone to have a different IP every time they log into the game. My ISP doesn’t change my IP that often, but there are many that do.
The algorythm for determining if an otherwise valid login is potentially due to stolen ID/PW would have to be a lot more complex than simply checking for IPs. The lack of a good machine identifier is why many implement a cell-phone text-back method to reauthenticate new locations detected using an account.
So your are saying that there are people out there who get a new IP address all the time every couple minutes at most, and continually re-logging their characters? Amazing!

This problem wouldn’t exist if mail had an expiry date on it, like other MMORPGS have. For example, send a mail to a friend, if he doesn’t pick it up in 10 days, it gets automatically returned!
Food for thought.
I actually play a game where you got 30 days, and at anytime before 30 days, you can recall the mail.

Why is there no option to remove authorized IP addresses? Listen, if you have control of your account, having a hacker delete your IP from authorization isn’t going to make a difference. They will still change your password and block you. When you get your account back, you can still authorize yourself again once you got control.
I was also hoping for first person view. I wanted to immerse myself into the world by seeing it through my character’s eyes. But that feature was not included….. Q_Q
The only advice I can give you at this point is to take this as a gaming lesson. Learn from this and move on. Sorry for your loss. =(

Yeah, nowhere here does he say “sell”. He did say “give”. Just pointing that out. But of course the agreement does say no transfer, just as you said. But the reason for that is to stop the problem of account ownership contesting. If you can’t see anymore, I really doubt you’re going to contest ownership.
