You need a god-mode PC to handle it.

I think someone is mistaken about the problems. It’s server lag, any godlike computer from the players won’t be able to speed things up.

As usual, reset nights start off with keeps 5+ super arrow carts. The damage needs to be

1) Reduced the damage by 25%.
2) AOE capped from 50 to 25.

I simply do not see any place for super arrow carts camping the areas. This makes the game incredibly boring as nothing short of golems+portals can break the doors down fast enough (unless enemy fails to place a scout on keeps).

I feel like I'm getting bored already.

Once you nail down the strategy and assign everyone the roles, it becomes boring dps sponge… I think I already completed this 5/7 times over 3 days with success (Only failures were my first attempt and some commander insisting on doing range DPS and then failing miserably. Then everyone went for melee and broke the record for faster teq slaying for the server.).

I really think the variations for the dragons need to change a bit more (not increase in difficulty but varies his attacks like tail flicks and paw attacks, plus some random projectile firings at the turret).

If that’s not obvious enough. Every single cap point there’s one engineer/thief stacking 25 confusion. Beyond that broken +150 stats (some particular guild builds are starting to become unkillable), this particular playstyle takes the 2nd most irritating kitten from anet.

I don’t see a problem here either. Superior Arrowcarts are extremely lethal, and if you thought you could just rush through a choke, through another choke, and still have enough people to fight that are strong enough, then the problem was the tactic. If you knew those AC’s were there (since they were beating you at the gate) then you should have taken them out.

Also, Sup. AC’s work perfectly and are not overpowered. It doesn’t do enough DPS where you would be down instantly, you still have a chance to roll out and recover.

Good job running your force into their death. Then complaining about it in the forums along with the incredibly unoriginal “Devs want to kill WvW” comment

This is bullkitten. Every single day, the commanders will be thinking on how to take down areas with multiple superior arrow carts, but the worst part is how many players are using zoom hack to extend range and cannot be taken down without resorting to the same method. And none of the bigger guilds I know in SEA prime time use zoom hack to bring down the “well placed arrow carts”.

This makes for multiple runs in circles or full range trebs/golem rushes. And what happens? People complain about golem rushes melting gates. The WvW game has devolved into something like that. Guilds running away and hiding behind towers with tons of super carts because they are not confident in winning in open field battles, while guilds have to resort to using tons of omegas with portals to bring down a fortified location full of arrow carts.

Ask yourself whether this is the truth.

Defensive players should be outsieged (starved to death for supplies), not waypoint back bring back more supplies build more super carts, “yay stroke your ego with I defend with well placed siege”.

Arrow carts should be hit with at least a 25% nerf in damage. The meta game has already stagnated into throwing tons of super carts and camping behind towers whenever outnumbered.

The way you wrote it, yes. Your refusal to clarify isn’t helping either.

They (about 10 enemies using 3 arrow carts with possibly max traits in arrow carts) started carting us (damaging us with their AOEs and the super carts) and when I got to the top of the staircase (after using a few water fields and even warbanners, yes, there are glass cannons amongst the 30 of us), I had approximately 4k HP left and was finally downed there.

The tougher professions who had 30 k or high heal (guardians) managed to make it to the top of the lord, but was ultimately no match for the arrow carts and streaming enemy players.

PS: I only counted 3 when I went down, perhaps it was more than 3. The damage output does absurdly high, I feel like I received 4.5k damage every second.

Yeaaahhhh… ‘k… you see… something isn’t passing the sniff test here. I’m guessing you were with the 30 man group against what you claim were ten people, seven of which did absolutely nothing but watch three guys on ACs burn you down after you broke through the gate and were charging in?

So if you were in such a hurry to break in you must have put up orange swords signaling you were there in number, probably had what, three, four or five rams going… yet it was a surprise attack… yeah, something definitely isn’t passing the sniff test here.

If you were attacking with a force of ten vs thirty… well, gee… it must have been the arrow carts that did you in.

They started carting us when we got the gate down to 10% and we started pvdooring, and when I reached the top of the staircase I had 4k HP left. That was arrow carting from 10% gate all the way to the top of the staircase. Judging from your zealous defence, you must be one of them arrow cart investors where you max out the skill set and laugh out loud when bags surround you.

Besides the incredible lag generated on the recent patch, the AC damage is still not fixed. 3 super arrow carts held back a SURPRISE attack on a tower even though we broke the reinforced door with a sudden rush.

10 people vs 30 + people (they rush in when gate got to 10%). I think the devs are just out to kitten off the commanders because apparently good tactics mean nothing. What is wrong with the devs. Is our “suggestion sample” really the minority when people thumbs up the post?

Every single day I see lesser people going onto WvW, you devs must enjoy destroying morale.

You see people, this is the reason why I despise roamers. They think commanders/GvG leaders doesn’t require skill to command and lead. You have already formed your opinions about “no/little/some skill required on GvG commanders” and expect no flaming to be thrown at you?

Tell us kittencrap about you come from gw1 GvG doesn’t give you the right to claim anything or otherwise, simply because top tiered fights in GvG require precise coordination and builds. If you have never even participated in the top tiers of GvG, please refrain from even commenting about them.

The next amount of kittencrap is how “commanders” should communicate with roamers.

1) The kitten orb system is a broken piece of junk. In the first place the population coverage is already not balanced. Think this as chess pieces, each side has the full set, but coverage = missing either a queen/rook on someone’s side.

Then you add in +150 stats. That’s like giving you 3 extra pawns. Holy crap, is this your idea of balance? Even adding any form of stats is broken.

2) Roamers =/= Havoc groups. When you say roamers, I see plenty of kitten buggers running around killing upleveled/terrible 80 players. Then does nothing about capping camps or slow them zergs but spam /laugh command. And it’s not just 1. Are we supposed to reward these roamers who waste their time doing nothing except wasting some people’s time?

3) “making sure your Zerg/PvE train can take them Keep’s/Tower’s.” I see you come from a lower tiered server. It’s quite obvious when you wrote “PvE train”. This is not even remotely good for the servers. Rather than getting more players to play WvW, it has now fallen into a useless PvE train farm, isn’t that right?

4) You do nothing remotely constructive in WvW. Ever seen commanders typing “Stack on pin.”, and you’re off doing some crap like hitting stragglers? Trying to get people to “cap points” is like trying to fit a key inside the needle’s eye. Good luck to commanders to “communicate”.

PS: In my mind, there are certain terrible words describing you.

First of all, ignoring all the issues on balance and the strong (possibly) getting stronger, the biggest problem on WvW is the extremely terrible skill lag that players are experiencing right now.

This issue is across the entire EU and NA servers where things lagging every second, and is simply unacceptable as quality gaming. If anet devs actually bothered to try going in and play in the populated servers right now, they will find players to be skipping around and experiencing skill lag as well as random frame skip teleportation.

Please roll back WvW changes first, give yourselves another 2 weeks or even 4 more weeks of QA testing before putting it down, and when the lag is reduced to a insignificant state, you may try implementing it.

Last year they removed this unbalanced stat-buff, as it only "strengthened teams who are already winning ". And now the same unbalanced buff is back again?! What’s going on here?

The mass ignorance is just terrible. The orbs were removed because players were hacking them.

I do like the idea of getting on my thief and then face roll enemy players during their off peak hours. I’ll make sure I’ll use that /laugh command 10 over times and hope they come into the forums to QQ about the orbs. If I have WvW guild thieves, I’ll ask them to do the same thing by having 5 thieves backstabbing 1 single person like it’s a thing. Thank you anet for this delicious QQ mechanism that you brought in this patch.

Come on, aren’t you guys sick of this. We all know that devon and his team isn’t touching this because wvw is one of the lowest priorities in the game. Just above the dungeon section and somewhere close to “world polish and runes/sigils/professions balance”. The answer is obviously 3 years later and possibly multiple dev personnel changes, we get a subpar fix on dolyaks.

12 months after launch and serious priorities like skill lag and hacks sort of proves itself.

My favorite part of that score update is that FA owns SMC.

You mean the opportunistic moves made on SMC when BG attacked JQ? They were going around to cap FA/JQ towers and camps with a zerg train. In the end 10+ brave people capped Klovan and SMC as revenge and holding it for a good 30 minutes (borrowing some manpower from JQBL, but the main force that capped klovan and SMC were only 10+ people)? Where were you guys, oops, watching the free show.

After which FA came over to SMC for free taking because JQ got them angry and BG started attacking JQ for the next hour. I am wondering why you (guys) are trying to praise yourself.

so what are you looking for as far as changes to the incinerator?

-bigger longer lasting footfalls?

-some kind of fire aura?

-equipping it sets your whole character on fire (more funny than practical but would be cool fro some people)?

-some people like the effects incinerator has, some don’t; what would you change or do you like it as is?

Changes armor color vs covers your arm with small fire – Jugg wins
Quicksilver Footsteps vs Fiery footsteps – Jugg got an update
Effects when sheathed – Incinerator turns off, jugg turns off, both fail.
The model design, incinerator wins due to excessive particles shown.

Honestly, incinerator model design is the only saving grace of the weapon. You can instantly recognize it if someone takes out that weapon, otherwise….

The initial cost of creating an ascended is nearly 250g. And it’s one stats combination, by that logic, it’s better to craft a legendary and pick your own slot, immensely useful for WvW players.

Are a super joke. You might as well remove that option because the guards can’t guard the dolyaks even 1 single bit against wvw players, and considering that wxp guard slaying, you’re buffing the players instead.

They are needed mostly to protect the Dolyaks from mobs, like Cave Bats, Drakes, Wolves and so on.
Especially in EB, there is a 50% chance that any Dolyak will be attacked by mobs during their runs, thus making it difficult for towers to get supply.

Not to mention that if you take a camp without access to both towers, those guards will stay in the camp with the dolyak, adding 2 veterans to the camp defense and making it harder to take

Anyone seen the pvp meta lately? Warriors/necros running all over the place like some thugs bashing on other professions. Can we get a kitten nerf to their professions or buff our revealed to 4 seconds > 3 seconds instead. We’re becoming useless in 1v1 and utterly useless in WvW zerg fights.

GOOD Militia Commanders on JQ/BG/SoR/TC?

I don’t think there are many militia commanders in JQ (I’m from JQ during SEA timing). If anything I find it mostly anemic where only a few guilds in NA/EU are trying really hard to sustain JQ’s 3rd place in tier 1. Now SOR, on the other hand, feels like there are multiple blobs around everywhere during NA/SEA hours, then finally losing steam during SEA hours.

BG on the other hand feels like they have coverage 24/7, where they hold their own grounds against JQ SEA (with tons of arrow carts and fast reactions), and they hold the highest score out of the 3 servers.

If you want 24/7 gaming, it’s BG. Although I’m not from BG, I can feel the militia commanders working to cap stuff during the NA>SEA transition.

If you want godly NA presence, it’s SOR. Honestly, they are a blob. So many players during NA timing. I won’t be surprised if there are a lot of multiple commanders from the guilds there leading PUGs.

If you want a challenge, it’s JQ where commanders lead a smaller zerg during NA-SEA timing to fight as hard as possible (the ultimate militia defender in EB NA>SEA hours has to be cloud fly, he leads the PUGs like a boss, holds SMC for long stretches of hours.). JQ has almost no EU presence, so if you want EU coverage, you are better off going to other servers.

PS: JQ militia commanders doesn’t really use teamspeak.

Anyone seen the cost of crafting one kitten ascended weapons? 200 Gold in total to reach 500 and craft one weapon. Subsequent weapons cost 50 g each. WvW players are completely shafted. Either give players bags of coins for each player kill or increase rewards for taking over areas or drop more heavy loot bags. This is getting out of hand.

I usually support Devon’s post, but if this is “trying”, I’ll quit GW2 right now. This is not a game, this is a chore. WvW players have ALWAYS received the short end of the stick and this is no difference. And WvW players are the ones who absolutely needs it more than some PVE auto attack players.

I think there are no objections to how hard this build hits. Anything that is non-spammable conditions will find it impossible to break this build. Even a random slash might get a 4k smack on those wearing 2400 armor and below.

There is no high threshold to the skill involved in using the mentioned build, but someone countering this build will have to utilize everything their profession has to offer. Just rinse and repeat mace block, shield bash, and alternate your stuns, profit with 100B and whirl. Either way, regardless whether of having high skill with your professions or you have a superior condition build, I expect the large majority (95%, semi skill to casuals) will not be able to handle this build. The unsuspecting foe trait should be 25% at most, especially when the trait isn’t in the grandmaster tier.

Why does everything to your generation -sorry for the assumption, but I’m pegging you into the Instant Gratification (IG) Generation- need to have some reward to make it purposeful to you (generalized “you”)?

Mini pets are fine as they are right now: visual pets that follow the player around.

The only issue I personally have with them is that bug that makes them follow 50yrs behind the player instead of near like they should. That’s a low priority issue to the developers compared to other things in the game, so I respect that it’s taken a while to get fixed.

While that insult is making me raise my left eyebrow and considering the report button, I’ll just state that majority of the population does not care about the minis, otherwise you would see them using it at every turn.

There is no sense of attachment to the pets. Zero. None. They won’t show you affection or form a bond with you, other than showing some prefixed animation if they have any. That is why I wanted something that brings out some form of value to you. Mini Evon Gnashblade can get you x% of MF and gold find, Mini Ellen can give you x% of XP and karma gain, etc. This is what I’m thinking.

While I’m trying to put in some usefulness to the minis, the general assumption from the replies is that minis = trophies and should not be anything else.

Minis should get some bonuses.

Do you think minis should get a fixed 1% karma/xp/mf/health regen/crafting bonus/etc? (best if there are a mixed combination so all minis are unique). That way your minis are relevant and not collecting dust in your bank.
