Abjured probably lost because they likely didn’t prepare well enough. Since EU is more competitive, their teams can practice against real competition, leading to a higher standard of play.

Btw every competitive team uses voice. What they mean is that they don’t spam their voice channel. They won’t say things like “I totally dodged that skill!” They keep their chat to only relevant info.

AA lose because they have a thief, last championship their opponent said the same thing during interview, that they just ignore the thief decapping and wipe them 5v4. they never learn i guess.

I have realized over time that rather than calling nerfs on one class address what needs to be nerfed for all classes. It is less biased and more accepted. For example:

Elementalists: Diamond skin is pretty powerful and could be shaved.

Thief: They shouldn’t be able to dodge more than 3 times in a row.

Mesmer: Nerf healing on shatter the defender nerf was perfect.

Revenant: Their weapon swap synced with legend swap into Staff skill 5 after being buffed in assassin stance. It one shots people it could be toned down,

DH: All their skills need to have longer cast times so players can react Test of faith should only proc once per use and spear of justice should be blockable as there is no counter for the pull after it hits.

Druid: Shave the healing big time. More aoe less self healing.
Scrapper: They also need less healing more counter-play for there res would be nice too.

Reaper: They have too much aoe condition damage.

Warrior: They do too much condition damage upon interrupting players. They also have too much sustain for their given damage shaving to condition immunity and damage immunity would be nice.

These are issues that need to be fixed. There are things the classes need to balance themselves like necromancer needing more sustain or thief needing more hp. But these are a few pressing issues of many. It isn’t DH alone that is messed up. The whole game favors a button smashing mentality right now.

if your playing at this moment 251am pst in NA, players are sleeping and u have a small pool of players to play with u will have bad matches and if u keep playing after 3 lose it will never stop. i suggest change your time of play or just Q up with your friend. or go to unranked and enjoy it.

DH shouldnt got buff in the first place. a class that spam traps and forget about it game play is really easy to play. its a noob killer. the problem is by buffing it you get what we have today 4 DH in your team and opposite team. just by looking at that do u think its ok? now why i say i dont want DH to get nerf? because this can easily be solved if Anet doesnt allow class STACKING! but believe me when i say this even if anet doesnt allow class stacking in the future, people will still find ways to complain about certain class.

during season 3 theres a lot of QQ thread about DH being OP and stomping players from amber to ruby. theres also threads warning Anet that if they buff the nub friendly class which was stomping all new players it will be a bad idea. season 3 i see at least 2-3 DH in both teams. now we see 5-7 DH in both teams. Season 1 ELE, and Mesmer being the OP class you dont see stack of 6 of them. this season even for druid the most u see is 4 in both team. DH was in a good spot during season 3 except they not viable in High gameplay. i dont wanna see DH get nerf but i want other class that counter them get buff. imo

yes, there is many factors but to what i see the #1 reason is players just giving up after a huge lead by enemy. this game or should i say pvp is very snowball friendly.

If there was a reward worth continuing to fight for despite a clear loss then that wouldn’t be an issue, but as it stands, there’s no reason to work that hard because pips are valueless, in addition div/rank ultimately is valueless. People just accept the loss, obtain loss, and get ready to grind out the next match; because in the current system you will reach diamond/leg simply by playing enough matches.

sadly ANet implemented Season 1 style of MM without the S1 pip system people like. for those who doesnt know in season 1 if you play till the end and came close even if u lose there is a chance u wont lose pip or even gain 1, depends how high the MMR of your opponent team compare to yours. also if u manage to beat them u get 2-3 pips.

since ANet decide my post wasnt for minor and deleted it. here are some SS of full pugs VS premade. who Anet have stated that for u to fight a premade group your team has to have a premade also. doesnt matter which time i play solo VS premade every other match. how is this fair? u wanted esport? to be called a sport u have to create a fair game.

i think they just need to revert back the other nerf prior to removing key amulets ele used. like maybe DS nerf or the elemental training cd nerf. or give the ele blind on burn again. this will force players who want to play dps role to take fire trait.

i kinda agree with buffing instead of nerfing idea, for example if 1 class/prof is not on par with others instead of nerfing 8 other class you can just bring up the one class on par with the other. the problem with nerfing all the time and not reverting back previous nerf to a certain class is that in time u will will have a class that in unplayable. then anet have to revert every single nerf they did to that class back. its busy work. now im not saying never tone down a class or skill ever. but having just one method for balancing classes is meh.

lord hammer hand, i think u usually are pretty calm. starting to sound a bit jaded… kind of like… every1 here.

maybe thats anets tru vision for pvp… players getting so jaded, they become toxic and just yell at each other. in some ways, perhaps that is real pvp

because of the style of MM anet implemented it started a witch hunt by other players whos the newbie or low MMR in the group. i had various matches with people accusing of others bad before the game even start. this made players QQ and rage during matches. also the reason Anet revert back to this MM is because of complain about blowout matches well guess what most of my games are like that still. so Anet if your reading these just wanna say how in the F did you ended with these decisions?

gratz. this pvp devs wanted everyone to have a shot into legendary by making it grindy as hell but w/e right they dont care about the experience of veteran players all they think now is how to make pvp appealing to PVE players. notice i didnt say casual? because as a casual myself i found this MMR back to season 1 garbage BS type of MM deters casual whos good at pvp or just descent to not play pvp because they made it time consuming. they think getting match with inexperience players just so that the other team will have equal chance of advancing and getting carried is a good experience.meanwhile players like me who just wanna have a good match up w/o blowouts and avoid being toxic to each other.

We’ve been talking about personal score a bit. I’m personally of the opinion that it isn’t representative of a player’s effort in a given match, and it also can be incredibly misleading and potentially lead to bad gameplay habits (5-capping home).

If you were to redesign personal score, what would you do? Does it track different types of stats? Would you want your personal stats displayed to other players?

removed the individual score at the end. not the stats. vet players even others understand the score doesnt mean anything, but other dont. to prevent toxic and bad plays of players. it should have been removed a long time ago. the only thing its good for before is that your point represent how much glory point u get back in the day. that has been long gone.

Hi there,

First, here’s the a recent post on the topic:

With the start of Season 4, we’ll be returning to Season 1’s style of matchmaking which focuses on creating the most balanced teams from the players queueing within your pip range. This change may widen the skill range of players in each division, but we feel that increased match quality is worth the trade-off of reduced prestige for this season. During Season 2 and 3 we added two league features that greatly impacted your ability to climb: start-of-season division placement based on previous season performance and win/lose streak pips, and both of these features will remain enabled for Season 4.

Season 4 matchmaking is already using MMR to create the most balanced teams possible. Teams are no longer “stacked” as they were in Season 2 and 3.

The problem (that we’re solving for S5) is that we’re currently searching for players close to your division to match you against. This means that the pool of players that we can pull from to create a match is much smaller than if we were using the entire pool of players. A player may have a high-enough MMR to put them in the top 100, but if they’re in Sapphire they’re only going to get matched with players that are in or around Sapphire. Season 5 will use the entire pool of players for creating matches – this should help the system create more balanced matches and improve queue times.

As for the “forced 50/50”, there’s nothing on the backend that forces a certain win-rate. This is a byproduct of your MMR settling.

so how in the world to i get paired with a group of people then the next match i fought against them and then we in the same team again? if there is no such thing as force 50/50 shouldnt u be in the same group of players together if 10 players only are Qing? not keep flopping back in forth making the w/l redundant.

this season is by far the worst in terms of MM. now u ask why? its basicly season 1 w/o the pip system people like about S1. forcing players 50/50 W/L ratio will make these season so grindy. i mean someone just posted some time ago about reaching legendary in 200+ games WTF, even ANET said that they bringing Season 1 MM even if means less prestige. these season good players or should i say decent players have to carry 1 or 2 newbies or bad players. while bad players think its a good MM making because they win game while being carried. now they will think they are getting good. but when MM change again they come back and spam MMR HELL. im frustrated with season 4 but i know ill make it to legendary if i want to. but atm i just couldnt find the motivation to keep playing after a game or 2 a day. heck these season is so bad anet forgot to put in the S4 title.

correct me if im wrong, u wanted to make pvp prestigious but also going back to season 1 MM? if any of u know season 1 match making forces players into a 50/50 W/L ratio. u might say whats wrong with that? well for starters anyone can grind to legendary even the very bad players. remember those players posting SS of 200+ or 400+ games and doesnt even made it to legendary? well imagine all those guys will now be in legendary. a former guildie of mine who’s somewhat horrible at pvp made it to legendary during season 1 through sheer number of games played. but during season 2 and 3 he get stuck in lower diamond. ur now saying i have to play with all these players who keep saying they in MMR HELL? you should stop playing once your in legendary is what i get in this post.
