let this be a warning to all duo, trio Q players etc. if u do this u increase your chance fighting a full premade. and if ur a soloQ and this happen, blame the people who decided ill duoQ instead of getting into a 5 man. this rules is announce by anet and shouldnt come as a surprise given its already season 4.

what i notice is people seems to ignore the bell thinking its not a major mechanics, its like not getting stillness and tranq together or having opponents kill lord twice each game. or having forest beast gets killed by enemy except it gives twice amount of points every time. in this map a team who can grab the bell everytime and win team fights will win even w/o holding any points. i maybe wrong but this is just what i notice, and just IMO.

with all the nerf to other class u will see a huge chunk of players playing mesmer_ from my experience , war is still far easier and better to play than mes .and mes got huge nerfs in season 3 mid season while other classes being almot untouched . the short memory of gw2 pvp forum lol

DH will see more play ,the semi bunker build with symbol heal + medi heal trait is pretty good for pugs vs pugs . but for high lvl pvp , it can be countered by well timed cc chain (you have to bait out one passive stunbreak and at least one stunbreak skills )
for longbow DH tho , its slow easy to kill after burn out medi skills .DH bunker seems better bunker alone to distract from other point or be the rez bunker like chronbunker in season 1.for team fight ,druid is better option with more damage more heal better rez ability and far better mobility in most maps (guard has better mobilty in Kyhlo).

so you will see war / engi /druid dominating high lvl pvp while people got stomped by guard and mes in low lvl.

yes people in pvp forums seems to have short memory, i mean chrono/mesmer been viable since season 1 for both low lvl pvp and high lvl pvp (esport) and warrior only started what season 3? this is also not i discussion on how easy other class is to play compare to others. lastly majority of players in league are casual meaning low lvl, unless u consider being in legendary division high lvl gameplay which is LOL then we both right that DH/mesmer will be ever present in most games in low lvl pvp which is the league itself.

DH everywhere! (this is not a nerf QQ thread) but it seems DH will now be the go to class for newbs and nubs and we will see a abnormal amount of QQ thread about this class. also lets not forget the ever presence of Chrono/mesmer since season 1. with all the nerf to other class u will see a huge chunk of players playing mesmer. also the usual people claiming MMR hell will be every present in the forums

I don’t like the direction anet is clearly going with tempest- there should be damage builds, support and bunk builds, condi builds that all work via sPvP and some pve, but nope- for pvp there is no real direction except support- that is incredibly boring and now ele is feeling clunky and what helped them sustain is no more- you HAVE to have healing vit and or toughness since ele has the lowest hp pool- even with tons of toughness and vitality they can still be melted by conditions
But anet has no clue what they want from ele except support, anet should chance their name to Anerf. And their motto “we don’t understand what pvp means but play our game!”

Sadly Anet doesnt see it that way. Elementalist been OP in both pve and pvp for a long time. Ele have couple of build diversity outside of pvp. so when for some reason they do balance they look at it at the pve side. i lil shave from pve side make pvp side unplayable.

nothing was changed except your now playing off season with a small pool of players to choose.

Magi has more healing and vitality, why would damage matter for a healer build? Get more familiar with roles pls.

because one of the best ways to mitigate damage is to put pressure on your opponent so that they can’t focus entirely on doing damage to you. Magi’s does no damage at all and barely has any more healing, so you take a lot more damage.

look u have a point the best defense is a good offense sure! but no one roll an ele during s1 to s3 because of how much dps they can do. its how much they can support. now with removal of cleric, we now need an amulet that can replace it. and im just saying that magi does it. is it on par with cele and cleric? NO. is magi still good? YES

You might want to clarify your title. It would be more appropriate to say “Support Tempests are fine” instead because clearly, non-support Tempest/Elementalist builds are not fine. They just pidgeonholed the class more into support with the nerfs to base healing.

I believe that pre-nerf support Tempest was doing too well which is one of the main reasons it became mandatory in high-tier pvp. However, I think just removing Cleric Amulet would have been more than enough of a nerf because it already directly changes the playstyle of the specific build.

true, and its my fault if im not specific. elementalist in general for pvp at least is not fine. but the ele auramancer build whos been good since S1 to S3 is still fine with magi. like i said on my post i dont agree with the nerf for cd reduction. it lowers the damage potential and viability of other ele spec.

Dunno what are you talking about…magi eles are free kill and do no dmg, you need a team that massively outplay the enemy team to peel/carry you using a magi amulet…unless you’re extremely majestically lucky …or part of an ESL team…you’re a free kill on anything but marauder amulet

But again like 1 ele out 30 can play marauder fresh air in current meta with cheese builds like revamped dh and condi chrono or condi war.

Today is ele daily…and it’s absolutely atrocious to play pvp so pls do me a favour and stop with the lies , there is nothing out there ready to carry inexperienced players on ele

my experience is not dreadful like everyone in this QQ forums. played unranked earlier for daily my team comp consist of 2 DD, chrono, druid and me reaper. enemy team consist of druid, rev, DH, ele, reaper. not only our comp is not optimal to win, 2 of the enemy are ESL players (note: they not using main class) anyways our 2 DD and chrono went and rush far while me and druid went mid. (yes, made me wanna afk when none went to our home) seeing only 2 of us at mid, the rev at mid went to help his team at their home.
TL;DR we won far and team went back to mid and we wipe them. we ended with 3 cap and they kinda never recover from that. score was like 500- 300.

should be just nerf elemenatlist and thats it.

i know i didnt make it clear. im not asking for themn to rework the story instance of zaitan fight. im asking to give it the same treatment as mordy. mordy has the instance fight for story and he has the awesome meta event. imagine zaitan during a huge meta event? F2P account experiencing that at the end of vanilla will make them wanna but HOT to see how we rekt mordy. less than 1% of gw2 players base plays raid so putting it inside an instance will remove its epicness. im also just wanna say im not against raids but making content for the 1% of players to see is not 2016 mentality.

I wrote this thread because i was unable to get my PvP dailies. I actually yesterday went back to meta ele so i could get the 2g and the potions.

I dont know, unranked has a mixed feel to it. When i am on warrior and i pop my shield and the P/P thief still uses unload. I dont feel like i should be playing. Yet i still lose the match big. It just becomes a bit silly i guess.

I remember someone posting on this forum helseths rage video on why he quit streaming gw2. He would just farm players in unranked because there was no challenge for him.

Now its completely different for me, just needed to write out my frustrations and wondered if others felt the same.

so according to other players, there’s a MMR at play during unranked. which means if u never taken unranked seriously and never tried to win. u could have tanked your unranked MMR and thats the reason your having such bad team mates. also a good note is that if MMR is indeed being use, u want to play during primetime because MM will have larger pool to select. my experience so far is very erratic, i get good match ups, or i get lopsided one. i get win streaks then suddenly lose streaks.

OP made similar post before but hes complaining about the lord in foefire giving 150 points. he also made a thread about how OP Dragon hunters are during S3, while saying Scrapper needs buff because it dies easily now he’s mad about forest beast giving points. since he mention 150 points, my guess is the opponent keeps killing npc the whole game and he lose the match. i guess the only match hes gonna enjoy is khylo. because soon he will make a post how temple stillness and traq needs to go away.

as someone who main warrior. warrior atm is top tier in all game mode along with ele. if your worried about incoming nerf to war, devs did said they develop codes to be able to balance classes w/o affecting other game modes. warrior like in any other MMO is pretty much faceroll. anyways i recommend playing war.

Seeing how awesome the mordy fight, the meta not the instance one, can u please rework zaitan. one of the best looking dragon i seen ingame has a horrible and not so memorable fights thinking about it make u cringe :S

but i wanna rekt hot players with my vanilla minion master necro or signet necro

unranked is unranked, stop acting like it suppose to be competitive, players go there to play w/e they want. if u take it seriously u already lose. besides reading kitten in pvp forum is better than playing in unranked lol

So the only spec that it’s not ok is the one you can’t easily counter on a reaper?
When thinking about balance..think about it from a broader point of view, not everybody play a condi transfer reaper or share the same level of boon corrupt of reapers.

In that case chrono condis and scrappers are anything but fine:

-Scrappers have vast amount of reflect on short CD, for this they always use the same lame melee excuse , powerful anti mele tools..everything on low CD
-Chronos can refresh clones at stupid rate thx to lack of ICD for ChronoPhantasm

i dont know what to say to u. i already said i agree with u with war but chrono and scrapper are very easy to counter. i see chrono on other team i roll war/rev. i see scrapper i usually ignore them coz i think honestly they are not a big deal. they cant kill a fellow scrapper, cant kill a ele, druid. has a chance somewhat against reapers and other class but it can die easily. can i ask u what classes do u play? so i understand where u coming from. because i think most of the community agree that chrono and scrapper is just fine.

Hi. So I’ve played a few thousand matches in the 1 and half years since I’ve started GW2. Yeah, pvp is what I enjoy mostly in this game.

I just want to express my feelings as a “not so new” pvper: I’m getting really bored with the absolute lack of build diversity available.

I’ve had time to play through a good number of different metas, and it’s the same roundabout every time. The developers tweak this trait and that class, creating a new status quo, where unless you adapt and play the flavors of the month, you might as well go pve with that non-meta attrocity you barfed out.

Is it really that much to ask to make the elementalist’s scepter and staff builds stand a chance? Or the hammer on the revenant or the greatsword on warrior and guardian ?

I’m honestly not playing ranked anymore because I just cant see the same skills on my ele, necro and other characters, and I dont want to impose my “bad builds” on players in ranked. I’m so bored of this lack of diversity I’m already looking to better shores.

for a 10v10 to work w/o feeling like a zerg fest the map need to be really huge. like gw1 map huge.

As before, you’ll have three points to capture, but now in addition to players, you’ll have the pirates of the Capricorn roaming the map for revenge. Players are supposed to need to unite at times to fight against the third faction. To help with this, there will be a new bell objective capturable at 3-minute intervals that signals a canon fires on the Capricorn. It also awards your team some points, and capturing it multiple times in a row gives you an additional bonus (first 25, then 50, 75). The idea is that the objective can be used as both a “winning more” mechanic or a way of making a comeback.

when i read " you’ll have pirates of capricorn roaming the map for revenge" “players are supposed to unite against the third faction” that when i was concern.. im not bashing it, nor do i hate it. im just skeptical. im ok with foe fire, or forest, but map like stronghold is just to many pve element to me. “player versus Environment” you know door. treb, giant beast, npc guards, npc lord. chanelling points just too many in just 1 map. i wasnt saying no pve at all i just said less.(big difference)
anyways lesh already clarify it. there wont be any NPC roaming around. ty.

so they added more pve maps not pvp… havent they learn from stronghold? we want less pve in our pvp maps.

not sure why players still havent realize this but u can play your best class then swap at the end of the match to get the class win u need.

if your now just starting u wont be able to finish the current legendary back. yes, there is 1 more season and yes, they said that next year will be a new reward. not sure if it will be another back piece (hope not) or weapon/armor. the current skin will still be obtainable after season 4 but will be more expensive, i think ticket wise.

ok there seems to be a trend going on with the pvp community that players using wanderer amulet are condi bunker? wtf i must been asleep that i didnt realize this? so reaper, chrono, warrior use this amulet? but reaper die so easy unless he has full shroud. with wanderer reaper really only have 19k hp. chrono die as fast if not faster if wasnt for always blocking and evading with sword 2 and shield 4. and also there f4. warrior always go to a fight with endure pain and zerker stance ready, and they run away when its on cooldown. so removing this amulet wont do any good the just move to other condi amulet. i mean 500 extra toughness aint kitten.

so in season 1 of league a guy posted kitten of him 1 pip away from legendary and he slept i guess and league ended. lol

yeah zerging actually is a very bad tactic… like above me have said. in unranked and possibly amber- sapphire they might be still doing this? ruby perhaps. anyways bad idea
