here the thing premade players keep complaining about long Q times. because of that ANET allowed 4 man premade to fight all soloQ. this was not possible during S2 and S3, but w/e. now here we are ANET asking players who probably lose to a premade before. and lets face it guys be real here the reason premade tema gets longer Q’s before because a minority have time to play with 4+ people the wait 10 min Q just to play another 15 mins. im not saying removed teamQ but i think with all the QQ of premade longer Q times, u have this coming.

i have to agree on youre point its very low skill bar, on par with MM necro, turret Engi’s, and spirit build ranger back in the day. very easy to play but lack representation in higher game play. w/ that being said should it needs a nerf? i would say no. but what happen to all those build i mention comparing to DH today?… well they got nerf.

if u think that a premade of 5 against 5 solo is fair match, then u dont know what the word fair/equal means. sure some pve guild plays 5 man premade and get stomp by 5 solo pvper thats a MM problem. but a equally skilled premade vs solo will always have premade win.

@ 77% currently thats a big majority so its pretty much guaranteed its gonna happen.

I’d like to take a moment to address some of the concerns posted since last Friday regarding the possibility of solo/duo queue.

The poll we’ll be running this week will simply ask if we should trial a solo/duo queue system during season 5. Assuming the poll passes and Season 5 is solo/duo only, we’ll monitor feedback throughout the season and then run another poll at the end of S5 to ask folks if they’d like to see the change become permanent.

“But Josh, what about people that like to queue as premades, do guild missions, etc?” An overwhelming majority of players already play as solo/duo in leagues, but that doesn’t mean we’re not thinking about the groups and the guilds. That said, unranked arena will continue to accommodate roster sizes of up to 5. Guild missions will still be able to be completed in unranked arena. Assuming the post-season 5 permanence poll passes, we’ll evaluate the need for another environment where teams can compete (based on your feedback).

Hopefully that answers some of your questions!

hi. im really conflicted about this because im purely a soloQ player. i wanted to have this but also i dont want a possibility of me and my friends/guild not to come play ranked as a team. why not keep ranked as it is and make +3 players together only fight players with same premade as them . regardless of the Q times. at least you dont lose any amount of player base regardless how minor they are. i made a thread about the abundance of premade specially +4 players farming soloQ. and NO im not saying u cant win against them with pure solo VS +4 premade, but if u cant see the obvious disadvantage of a match like that u might be biased and close minded. do not lok at youre pvp in an ESL Pro point of view because they are not you average players who plays pvp.

REV – sureg of the mist dps need to be lowered

ok so we know sylvaris are mordys minion we also know that when a sylvari get corrupted they turn into mordrem, if u rem. the injured mordrem during the story. during the vision of eternal alchemy we did see the green orb going to the middle white orb you could stretch and say it was zaitan magic being a free for all or available because its now neutral. also who says the blighted tree cant grow that fast from zaitan’s death to when we fought mordy. i actually like the idea that when i dragon absorb magic from other dragon it doesnt just make them stronger but change them in away.

So basically, in Guild Wars one, there was a faction of dwarves called the Brotherhood of the Dragon. We last saw them protecting Glint’s first scion, Gleam in the Depths of Tyria (near The Central Transfer Chamber I believe), fighting destroyers trying to kill/corrupt it. This mission is similar to that of the protection of Aurene.
I was thinking that possibly Gleam may still be alive and is protected and ‘connected through mind’ by the Brotherhood of the Dragon, just like how we are protecting Aurene and ‘connected through mind’ with her.

Also, in the second season of living story (don’t remember the episode), we were able to travel to Glint’s layer and watch the Master of Peace receive the egg containing Aurene by an unseen/unknown character.
Who could that character possibly be? A member The Brotherhood of the Dragon?

hi, so here’s the problem, the zephyrites including master of peace are members of brotherhood of the dragon. so why would the master of peace not know that one of his member has the egg the first place? also they all went to glints lair together to get her dead body not for the egg. meaning no one in the brotherhood of the dragons knows there is an egg.

that fact is when it was only rank not a season I had a 80% win rate going in solo now I am at 45% this should tell you something is wrong why is this drop so big.

the off season rank was using season 3 MM, which they change back to season 1 MM when season 4 started.

I left last month (I played around 6 hours a day), left due to the sorry mess that PVP is in an truely thinking vanilla gw2 pvp was better. The devs remove amulets because one build is overpowered, then forget that theres other builds using the amulet that is completely screwed.

I was a 4 year player of this franchise with over 14k hours logged, I also tend to think that PVP is what keeps a majority of the players playing untill the next patch, and when doing it on GW2, im not having fun anymore.

Anet, please do something about your horrible balance, be it introducing a “Core Only” game-mode, or proper balance. Powercreep like this is not fun for anyone.

Why do people say this? Back then I had an 80% winrate on elementalist and I didn’t even know how to play them, I just rolled my face on the keyboard. And ranger was 100% worthless.

Also look up the diffusion theory of anthropology to understand how human standards work. In order for you to leave, there must be actually better pvp or you must lose interest in pvp mmos.

The elementalist has never been a rollface class. In fact the first year the game was released players found the elementalist the most complicated class to play with the engi in near second, this has remained true even with celestial because they need to pull off the most combos to get someone down, they have the less survivability, and as soon as you interrupt their healing they are done for.

Before then however the celestial amulet didn’t even exist, there was nearly a year where the elementalist was barely usable at all in pvp. All that the class could use was berserker and any thief could blow it up in a second. The might stacking meta came out to compensate for the elementalist no longer able to stay alive with a zerk amulet and it required serious gameplay compromises that other classes could take advantages of if they were skilled players.

Only the bunker meta with might stacking gave the impression that the class was OP, and it’s only because other classes were so used to simple gameplay that they didn’t know how to interrupt an elementalist rotation, or use chill.

You can’t come here with these generalization when most of us have been here since the beginning and know how the story unfolded with the endless nerf chain that broke the class. Anyway even if you wanted to faceroll on ele you can’t, the cooldown for the class are twice longer than on other classes and you’ll soon be out of skills to use.

You want an example of faceroll? Every class except the engi and the elementalist can win fights by pressing random keys, and they don’t have to dodge like a monkey like the elementalist or use a bunker amulet just to stay alive.

although i agree with u that ele has the highest skill ceiling next to a 3 kit engineer back in the day and today. its not as weak as you remember. Ele cantrip during launch can mistform and ride the lightning across the map while healing. that makes them very OP during paid tourney where u earn qualifier points before. thief, ele, mesmer, and warrior are some of the common classes played to get the master of arena title.

i would like season 2 and season 3 MM with season 1 pip system.

i think best way to do this is make new thing for people to accomplish every 2 seasons. so that people who are behind will keep playing and those who finish early can have new goals or objective to keep playing.

do u know why all necro ran staff? because of lifeforce, the way you describe necro you sounded like your telling us how weak necros are… no block no invul, no dodge, no mobility. thats the reason they are the first target at every match they die easy. the fact is when a noob plays a necro wanting to learn he will soon realize he is the main target and will die all the time. that player will most likely be blame for dying and will never learn how to play class properly.

season 1 and season 4 are far the worst. at least by the end of season 1 they change the MM to what becomes season 2 and 3 MM.

i think they meant when they were doing 2v1 or basically outnumbered in a point and the whole team still wipes. for me its a nub excuse that u 2v1 and your team wipe, i seen ele and druid yolo somewhere in 2v1 but because the opponent has support somewhere sustaining the other team they won team fight. being good at your class or at dueling doesnt mean youre good at rotating and being where u are needed the most.

so was playing the new map and fought 3 ANET players and we rekt them pretty bad. also fun fact if u kill them u get achievement.

Dev hace said even before season 1 started that the wing will still be obtainable after the season is over. the OP ask if the achievement will still be available which devs never said anything about. Devs did said that wing will be a lil harder to get after the season, maybe in terms of how many tickets needed.

doesnt matter your just a legend and diamond is just a division lower. MM doesnt care if your legend x 1 million ur same as legend X1. get back to reality mate :P

Anet pls removed this feature but only during match, i seen salty players insult their team or opponents using map chat and its very toxic for the community, its like public shaming. also i was in a game before where one of my team mate DCed luckily he capped home before he does and we won MID. but for some reason some players like to type in map chat 4v5! letting our opponent notice they adjust tactics and harass our home while 4v4 at mid and we lose. also i really dont like to know what drama other team is doing or what drama my team is saying. so pls.

ok is it possible that those tablets are written in much earlier time (in 250+ years ago) accounting for historical events? that why they refer to crystal sea the crystal desert? if that’s the case then no inconsistency.

coliseum is way too zergy in my opinion the cap points are too close, all your team need is a way to get over the wall. once your capture mid you can watch both sides by standing near the ramp going to side node.

Only thieves/mesmers and eles with LF can move over the wall..the rest must run around, go up the ramp …plenty of time to cap the point and flee other direction if they’re zerging…perfect map

u play other classes? engi rocket boots, DH f2, necro wurm minion, mesmer blink staff 2 skill, ele LF skill, thief SS or SB 5 skill, rev PT etc not sure if druid can jump or warrior i havent tried it. but every class can jump it u just have to use the skill for it. who know when meta of if map use for tournament that ESL players will put those skill to use.

edit: druid sword 2 skill and berserker sword 2 skill or sundering skill can jump it. look i dont hate the map i just need it need more refinement.

this is what i dont like about lore telling in GW2, the possibility that what NPC’s tell us could be a lie or biased. only if the PC experience it during GW1 and GW2 could be stated as fact. they need to have a established lore of what really happen. this is horrible story telling. imo

meh i didnt even bother playing DH since season 2. DH is like MM necro or turret engie in terms of easy to play and very effective. also very popular beside not being use in top ESL teams. but what happen to MM necro and turret engie? this what happen when something so brain dead to play and still pretty strong. i dont blame others, some DH really play DH because thats their main class. and a lot of players just bandwagon FOTM builds/class.

i can already hear all the people who will say but ANET said we can all have the wing huhuhu MMR HELL, Stacked Teams, Legends got carried to the top, Alt accounts farming us huhu. this will just make pvp forums full of bad players complaining.
