FA

I can tell some of the players here are more passionate about WvW than the developer.
Weekends usually have high turn out on the WvW maps where players ignore other things in life to play this game. They want to improve and perfect themselves in the game. They want to “fix” issues they encountered in the game, whether it is a score, a build, more gold, or improving a guild or a server.
Moreover, their presence provides entertainment for the opposition teams because without oppositions, there would be no bags to loot, no keeps to recapture and the game would not be fun.
Surely, if Anet is as passionate about WvW as its players, it would schedule overtime shifts in weekend with extra pay to have this fixed.

Guys, the last update was on Friday. Today is Monday. Contrary to popular belief, our developers have lives and families that they would like to live and see respectively.
Believe me when I say that we will provide an update as soon as we have an update to provide. Until that time, your continued patience is appreciated.
Thank you for the update.
Anet, since you are aware there are many players complaining not receiving that WvW rewards, maybe the players can have a better understanding of your effort in resolving this issue if you let us know how many people and how many work hours have you spent on this and what would be the budgeted labor cost.
Many thanks.
You know Mark responds to your post and you should ask him.
I am more interested in your answer
I can ask Anet.
Totally understand the complaints because, adults and kids alike, all have invested much time and energy in the game yet their rewards have not been honored.
And how much time and energy do you think ArenaNet have and still are investing in the game and this bug?
You know Mark responds to your post and you should ask him.
It could be a lead toward solving the issue.
Yes, this is what I meant. Sorry for not being more clear.
It really is pretty pathetic. I’m just hoping that the majority of the complainers are kids. I’d be embarrassed for the adults throwing temper tantrums.

Because of a bug that is out of Anet’s control! They have already stated over and over and over that they are working on it. Bug fixes don’t grow on trees. Give them one gosh dang week at least. These are real people with real lives and a massive, massive game to update.
Then let people complain while players wait. They should not have started season with stated rewards. Don’t worry about the people fixing the bugs. They probably would not read this if they do not have time.

Two Hyperions. 38 vs 04
There is a point here.
Wow so many people are missing the point here….
We are angry because not only that we didn’t receive our rewards in time, but also because we didn’t receive them on the 2nd date which was 3th of June, if Anet would announce before the tournament that the rewards would come in September 2014 everyone would have been ok with it, but the anouace a date than they don’t deliver than they announce a 2nd date and they still didn’t deliver and you ask me why are we upset, its because we are being lied that is why, don’t make promise you cannot keep.
This thread is full of entitled individuals. Too bad they don’t invest their energy on more meaningful crusades.
Pretty sure a lot here invested a lot of time and energy in this game and the past WvW season.
This is why it is a very meaningful crusade.
Suggestion: Outsource the ticket counting, maybe to China or India.
Probably Foxconn or Infosys can have the tickets sort out in few days.
This is kind of disappointment happened many times before and it will happen again.
Getting used to it and don’t expect much.
It should be fixed soon enough.
And Yeah. The development team has update maps in all the languages the game supports. They could have shared with us if they wanted to.
I would be happy to see the development team posted map like this, but they rather spent time adding animated clouds on “the Atlas” with a fancy zoom where no players can see the whole map.
How am I supposed to know what’s written here?
Yeah. We should all ask our game developer to post English / EU languages versions.
“5K+ AP” in lfg just proves that this game is not simple.
It could take about 1000 hours in game to reach 5K +AP.
All the zone exits are clearly marked as well.
I hope the map can be of use for the community.
The red stars are world boss locations.
JP is for jumping puzzle.
GR: Guild Rush
GC: Guild Challenge
GP: Guild Puzzle
I think a clearly marked map would save players so much time and would add so much more fun for loot and boss hurting than without it.
It is apparent the development team wants to keep players in the dark.
An example of straightforwardness is to make a GW2 map like attached instead of the foggy “Atlas” on the web site.

It is a hard game to quit because it is addictive.
One reason for the disappointment is the realization that no matter how much time one spends in this game there would be another carrot coming to tempt you and there would be seemingly endless carrots after that one. Why would one lose time for rest and sleep over it?
(edited by Lord of Rings.5371)
This game is full of disappointments. Not much experience was expected.
The learning curve for skills and builds is long and complex despite what is advertised.
The time commitment for the game is huge for top gears and WvW coverage, not sure if it is for casual gamers.
Thought one can play it anytime one chooses; no, it’s more important to schedule life around events to be productive.
Dev said the update patch would encourage players to use full set of runes, but the “Superior Rune of Lyssa” lost all boons with all conditions removal after the update.
Thought “Hall of monuments” stuffs would be cool before GW2 was released, no one cares them now because “Legendries” have fancy foot prints.
Thought “Festival of the Four Winds” would be fun, but this time it has No Loot.
Somehow the PR for game always misleads and always deceptive.

Thank you for research my posting history.
Yeah. I wanted to quit last year and has been back and forth about quitting it.
I found I play too much and if I logon online and often I did not get enough sleep that night.
It is a hard game to quit but I am absolute sure it a right thing for me to do.
I never regretted missing any time that I was not playing it.
I actually enjoyed the time online and I am pretty good at it. Like last night it was fun to charge into a zerg in near SMC and see their surprises, dealt damages and came out alive. But then it lasted longer than I expected I have went to bed at 1:30 am.
So I uninstalled it.
There are others things I enjoy and I would appreciated afterward but playing a game with so much of my time is vain.
I could not send my stuffs because the game is uninstalled.
The best part about a reinstall is that it takes hours to download and reinstall so I have more time to do other things.
1.. when you found no Commander tags and 3 players in the “Crown Pavillion”
2.. when your zerg has a size less than 30 in Eternal Battle ground
3.. when you could not find a zerg in Orr
4.. when you could not find a tag in Lion’s Arch
5.. when you only see two guildee’s online
6.. when you see players quitting on the forum
7.. when you could not gain an skill point after hours online
8.. when you see unbalanced WvW scores
9.. when you spend more time on the forum than in the game
10.. when you uninstall the game
I have lost interest in Archeage.
Top Ten signs that You Know You’ve Played GW2 Too Much
10.. when you start serving “Omnomberry Tart” at a bakery
9.. when you will your estate to Anet
8.. when you have crafted all the legendaries
7.. when your hours in game is more than 50% of age of the game
6.. when your achieved rank of “Diamond Legend” in WvW
5.. when you have switched in and out every server
4.. when your account gold wealth is more than Bill Gate’s in real life
3.. when you starting to brag your online hours when applying a job
2.. when you schedule life around GW2 events and resets
and
1.. when you logged out the game for the very last time

With AreaNet’s revenue about 1/5 (21%) of NCsoft’s and NCSoft Market cap being around 4 billon USD, Anet is worth about 850 Million USD.

Maybe it should have ended last week. People have finals and other things … Do not what the devs are expecting. It is starting to feel a bit too long and sensing some wearing down on some players.
Moving a stack of locked Black Lion’s chests from storage to inventory and the chests disappeared. The log only lists these chests moving into the storage and not moving out and they are not in the storage either.
logged out of the game then back in the chests appeared in the inventory.
It has been down for maintenance since checked 12 hours ago and it is still down. Anyone know when would it be up again?
Good players in Guild Wars 2 are more skillful with keyboards.
Pretty sure it’s the other way around where:
Guild Wars = Blackberry (or any other old smartphone)
Guild Wars 2 = iPhone (or any other new smartphone)
To me
Guild Wars 2 = Blackberry (or any other old smartphone)
Guild Wars = iPhone (or any other new smartphone)
In Guild Wars, a left click sets up a way point where a character goes automatically and holding a right click would pan the camera. Moreover, Guild Wars auto queues out of range skills that would bring the character within max range then automatically fire the skills. All these automation have to be micro managed in Guild Wars 2.
Because clicking is an inferior movement method in an action game and requires the implementation and maintaining of smart pathing which is actually more work than most people are aware of.
And this – just take a look at the hilarious pathing of ranger pets, necro minions, mesmer’s illusions. AI does not know about jumping over obstacles at all in this game. It would also require server resources – those resources which we’re already lacking with megaservers and have been lacking during LS.
And personally I think that adding point-and-go would just dumb down the game which has all-side dodging and stuff for a reason.
GW2 is meant to be an action game. They probably left it out purposely so people from GW1 wouldn’t stick with it.
The ability to jump also makes calculating paths much more complex. If they were to implement click to move, it would be the simple kind, where you run at your cursor, rather than like GW1, where you would run around objects.
Lastly, click to move would be nearly impossible to implement underwater. It would be the equivalent of holding left+right to move.
Thank you for your explanation. With jumps and fall damages, “Click and go” would require a really smart AI and many be a long way to wait. I got used to this style of playing from the original Guild Wars, with 4000 hours spent in GW, really miss it here. Playing Guild Wars 2 is like using a going back to a blackberry after being on an Iphone with Guild Wars which is just as fun but less people playing it nowadays. There are just too much micro management requires for GW2 movement and fighting nowadays, and the only way to gloss over them appear to be through zerging.
There’s the® Autorun button. As for “clicking for the place to go”, I see a lot of exploitability.
what “exploitability”? But if it there, it would be accessible for everyone and that would make it fair and increase the playability of the game.
Actually hoping for a click to start a movement so that no Holding of any buttons are required to continue the movement and movement stops at the clicked position.
Just like in the Guild Wars, players can click for movement. Why not bring back this option?

Update: Just checked and everything is updated to the new interface. Just receive a mail regarding the new PVP interface and the right side of the screen showing the unlocked PVP skins and health and toughness are back to about the same PVP and PVE levels before the update.
It seems the second visit fixed the issues.
Thanks again for all the replies.
PVP stats are lower, 7k lower in health and about 600 lower in toughness on the same character with exotic gears and couple of ascended trinkets.
Thank you in advance for your guidance.
Finally finished updating traits yesterday so one can go back for some fun.
Thanks again for the alpha channels on Twitch. Signed up for beta.
Do yourself a favor and buy an ArcheAge founder pack when they put them out. This game will fade from your mind in a hurry. I was blown away!
Thanks. The “E3 2013 – ARCHEAGE Press Gameplay Demo” is very persuasive.

Just could not schedule life around this game. Tried several times to unlock new traits, but could not make it to the events on time. Nothing is fun in the game after latest update. There are just so many better things to do than playing a game that is not fun any more.
How long will this break from the game be? Just a week, a month, 3 months, a year or more ?
Vol’s Epic Gold Making Guide

I’ve got a better guide lol
1.) Apply for minimum wage job
2.) Work until you get a pay check (2 weeks / 80 hours)
3.) Collect your ~650 dollars and quit
4.) Buy 650 dollars worth of gems (80,000)
5.) Exchange 80,000 gems for 5200 gold
6.) Buy a legendary or two after two weeks of farmingEZ ~50 gold per hour, much higher than this guide!
I understand you completely. I would put a commander Tag up for players like you to play to together.
Unfortunately, this is not case on every server.
Most guilds there often ran without Tag.
This practice is not friendly to new players who are the new blood of the WvW.
It leads to the decline for a server.
After experienced players of a guild stop playing, the guild just dies so does its WvW population.
I would welcome PvErs, Pugs, and players without TS3 with open arms.
I would Tag on when there is an easy fight.
I would Tag on when there is a near cap.
I want to give new players memories of fun, friendship and victories of WvW.
So they would be back and ready for tough fights if encountered and help growing the FA WvW community.
HOD’s scores would only make FA stronger.
Only a WvW player would have a second screen displaying Millenium.
Only a WvW player would stay up at 3:00am and completely exhausted in front of a keyboard yet to repeat the same again and again.
Only a WvW player…
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/wuv/wuv/Only-a-WvW-player
Only a WvW player would think that having 40% map completion is completely normal
Only a WvW player would mail some of their loot bags after a big fight to the groups support guardian
Only a WvW player still gets excited over a yellow drop loot… even if its not for their career
Only a WvW player thinks Lions Arch is just ‘that weird place’ you end up making siege in the forge and for hanging out at server reset day.
Only a WvW player targets people with legendary weapons first because they’re an easy kill and spent too much time in pve.
Only a WvW player would use an open gate tower defense for their guilds ‘revenue raising’
.
Only a WvW player will run around naked fighting because they ran out of money to repair.
Only a WvW player will sacrifice skillpoints to build superior siege.
Only a WvW player will spend hours escorting a dolyak, or running supply, because the team needs it.
.
.
Only a WvW player will read all of these and will approve all of them while shaking his head up and down.
.
.
.
Only a wvw commander cries “bags!!” Charging With 5ppl aginst a red sea defending SM
Only a wvw commander spend 10g in 1 night to a omega golem rush
Only a wvw player detect a enemy zerg watching his fps dropping to 10-7

FA will rise to the challenge. If hod could come from near bottom to top silver, FA can go to Gold.
