Lion’s Arch has one of the best jumping puzzles of the entire game, don’t you think all other capitals desearve some love? i would love to jump over the tall towers of divinity’s reach or reach the top of the pale tree, these would be long, longer than any other, but maybe with checkpoints inside (that reset every day), so you dont need to finish all at once. This would also make cities feel a bit more alive again.

I’m writing this because I think that I, like many disabled gamers, have been having huge issues with the vistas in GW2. I’d say that most are generally fine. But there are things like the Vizier’s tower which are unnecessarily vindictive to people with impaired motor function. I would really appreciate it if some concessions were made on certain vistas like this. It’s no fun falling and repeating the same thing over and over again because of your disability. Especially when it’s an essential function towards getting map completion.

The thing is: the “best looking gear” for many people is not that easily available, for instance i want Sunrise and at least 4 T3 pieces, this will take over a year to achieve. The challenge is there for those who seek it, while those who are satisfied with the looks of crafted gear and other common gear can have what they want.

The T3 is the bragging armor, the closest to a legendary weapon you can get on armor “dedication”-wise. There are plenty good looking armor, crafted, from dungeons and karma sets from orr.

This would be awesome, also every city should have a big and awesome jumping puzzle like Lion’s Arch, but with scaling reward, something worth doing every day. Imagine jumping in the top tall towers of divinity’s reach!

This game has no gear progression after exotics, thats how it was designed, and this will not change. Instead we have “cosmetic progression”, this is no “known issue”, its a feature.

For those who haven’t still started their legendary hunt and are anware of the costs, know that the cost of a legendary weapon is about 1,000,000 karma (may be higher for unlucky people as some RNG is involved).

Right now there are only 2 ways to get karma, WvW and event farming

-WvW may not be an option for some players if their servers are bad at it
-Event farming has heavy diminishing returns now and its much less viable

So it may be quite hard for some players to get karma, so i came up with a few suggestions to gain karma with no grinding or farming involved.

-You should gain considerable amounts of karma for completing a dungeon path once a day: When you finish a dungeon you have helped someone (a npc) or destroyed a big threat, isn’t that worth some good karma?

-Repairing walls/gates and buying upgrades should award karma: Some of the most important and less recognized actions you can make in WvW, and by doing these you are helping your entire server! Why can’t we get some karma from it? These are the 2 most expensive/boring parts of WvW and give about zero rewards to the player doing them (the exp from repairs is insignifcant as you could gain more during the time you are fixing the walls)

-Revisiting renown hearts: Every day, 2 random renown hearts from every region your character already finished 100% should become empty purple hearts, those mean the heart npc needs your help again! And by revisiting the area and redoing the heart you would gain a considerate amount of karma instead of exp/coin, these hearts would remain for a max of 3 days if ignored, after that it would return to a normal yellow filled heart, so every area would have 6 hearts to be remade if you left the area for long.

May be easier to buy rare/exotic swords and make the dawn/dusk yourself than buying it from 200g, if the chance of getting it is arround 10% and you buy every sword for 3g you would need arround 90g, less than half the price.

I doubt race and profession will be ever implemented because of the personal story would get totally kittened up.

But im all in for name changes, i made the stupid mistake of giving a second name for my sylvari, she looks so out of place now, but i already leveled her to 45 via craft and won’t remake her, i would pay 1000 gems to fix that.
Also sex has little influence on this game asides from appearance so we may see it in the future.

Nope, if this would be implemented then supply would becomes mostly useless for defending forces and the siegers would be unable to cripple them by taking camps, also a guild could farm emblems one week and then have a indestructible fort on the next one due to almost infinite repairs.

And well, a Charr with tiny feathered hat is bad enough. Try to imagine a pointy hat…

A slightly pointed hat, that is something like a mix between a cowboy hat and a wizard hat, like Diablo III’s Wanderer hat, though, would be acceptable.

I prefer to dodgeroll with a huge hat like logan hat from darksouls than doing so with spiky full plate armor… which all soldier class characters can do.

When i made my sylvari i knew very little about their lore, one of the main things is that they all have just one name (which makes sense as they have no family), but i made mine with 2 names, the problem is that i only noticed that after wasting 30 levels worth of crafting materials (because leveling an elementalist is terrible), and it would be a terrible waste to delete her and remake it.

And since we already have a cash shop in the game, would be pretty simple to make an item that changes the character name, i would gladly pay over 1000 gems for it.

If i had an option to filter any mail that contains “Gold”,“Powerleveling”,“USD”,“$” or even “Diblo3” (it seems spammers cannot spell Diablo) it would cut 99% of the annoying gold seller mail and i would be able to chill in Lion’s Arch without having my mail box exploding, can we expect such feature in a near future?

I have recently found a good build for my elementalist, the problem is that it reaches 18 stacks of bleed having it as main damage source, this is a severe problem when the stack limit is 25 for ALL players, 2 players with my build would already have their damage reduced considerably, why is this design flaw still in the game? Its like arenanet doesn’t want variety and is forcing everyone to use direct damage builds.

And the problem is not just bleeding stacks, burning and poison users are also crippled by this, every player should be able to apply his own conditions no matter how many players are attacking the boss, how could such obvious fact escape evaluation?

We need an answer, should we just switch builds? or a fix is comming soon? should we endure for now?

First, make sure to understand that im not asking for more buttons to press, but more options instead, im asking for weapon skill customization.

One of the biggest complains of hardcore players and old GW1 players is the lack of customization and simplification of skills due to weapon skill sets, while i like the system i can see why other do not and i can see a way to improve it, without increasing the complexity too much or screwing up the (already pretty bad) balance.

My suggestion is the following: when learning the last weapon skill the player also unlocks 1 or 2 other skills that can be swapped by a default skill (including the auto-attack), these skills can only be changed out of combat just like the healing, elite and utility skills, the players would also have the option to rearrange their original skills without picking any of the optional extra weapon skills if they wished so. (this system could work differently for thieves due to their unique skill 3 while dual wielding)

In the end this would allow players to change their fightstyles to switch better with their builds, and allow the creation of entire new builds while keeping the existing ones, without the need of creating entire new weaponsets.

I’m all for a Halberd, but im also a Guardian. Weakness is a pretty serious condition, not many auto-attacks inflict it. Guardians are also unable to inflict weakness, or many other negative conditions, part of being a Guardian. Most guardian attacks cause some kind of positive effect instead. Also, we HAVE a symbol of wrath already, and they are called spirit weapons, and they are already very powerful with hammer/sword, a third offensive spirit weapon would be nuts !

Weakness is caused by thief sword auto-attack, can also be traited to trigger every time a thief poisons an enemy, my thief can keep it up 100%, its not that overpowered, also people are complaining that guardian is too strong on the support roles, but doesn’t have a damage focused build (at least not as strong as warriors), this would be the focus of the halberd.

I have changed the symbol name, i made all these weapon suggestions during the first beta weekend event, this error slipped me

The spirit weapon skill is supposed to make use of the guardian traits for spirit weapons, making a spirit weapon more viable for late game.

Steamlances are the latest Charr creation, they are pneumatic lances that can launch projectiles, a mix of melee and ranged weapon. They require a very specific range to be effective, so controlling distance between you and the enemy is the key to success.

Warrior moveset: focused on enemy control

Slot 1 (3-attack sequence, all attacks have 300 range):
>Violent Thrust: deal damage depending on how far is the enemy
250-300 range = 130%
150-249 range = 100%
closer than 150 = 70%
>Vital Pierce: enemy bleeds if hit between 200 and 300 range
>Steam Burst: knocks enemy back 200 if they are under 100 range

Slot 2 (15 sec cooldown)
>Piercing Wave: Attacks creating a wave at 200 range that travels up to 800 range Crippling, Dazing and damaging enemies hit

Slot 3 (30 sec cooldown, 1000 range)
>Drill Break: burrows underground and attacks at targeted location from underground knocking enemies hit down

Burst: (normal burst cooldown, 1500 range)

>Release: happens automatically if the target is on range or the Joust ends, but can be triggered by the player too, ends the Joust and deals massive damage to all enemies in the lance range depending on your speed when triggered (stacking swiftness increases damage)

Guardian moveset: focused on movement to keep the enemy in the most effective range

Slot 1 (3-attack sequence, all attacks have 300 range):
>Knight Thrust: has 30% bonus chance to crit if the enemy is at 250-300 range
>Flurry: attacks 3 times quickly, each attack deal more damage depending on how far is the enemy
250-200 range = 45%
150-249 range = 35%
closer than 150 = 25%
>Evasive Strike: attacks targeted enemy, if the enemy is hit and it is under 100 range you do a quick evasive jump to the direction you are moving dodging an attack (won’t move if you are still)

Slot 2 (12 sec cooldown, 600 range)
>Knight Rush: Dash forward damaging enemies on the way crippling them, and leave a trail in the form of a ward behind you that reflects projectiles (lasts 4 seconds)

Slot 3 (35 sec cooldown, 900 range)
>Piercing Heaven: jump and strike the targeted location from above damaging enemies in the landing spot, and creating a Symbol of Fury, that grant fury to you and allies

Engineer moveset: a very long range set, damage multiple enemies in straight line

Slot 1 (1200 range attack)
>Ballista Shot: launchs the tip of the lance as a projectile piercing all enemies on the way

>Launch Rocket: shots a rocket that deals damage and becomes attached to the first enemy it hits pushing him back with it (max 600 pushback), if the enemy being pushed back collides with terrain or another enemy the rocket automatically Detonates
>Detonate: explodes the rocket damaing all nearby enemies and knocking them down

>Reverse Dream: Flips backwards dodging attacks while releasing a swarm of Chaos Butterflies where you stood before the attack

>Leviathan: Releases a water serpent that pierces through enemies up to 3 times dealing damage, then returns to you healing an amount based on damage dealt, also grants regeneration to all allies it goes through.

>Hurricane: Spins slashing and Chilling nearby enemies, each attack also removes conditions from allies

War Fan (Tessen) were folding fans with outer spokes made of heavy plates of iron which were designed to look like normal, harmless folding fans or solid clubs shaped to look like a closed fan. Samurai could take these to places where swords or other overt weapons were not allowed, and some swordsmanship schools included training in the use of the tessen as a weapon (tessenjutsu). The tessen was also used for fending off arrows and darts, as a throwing weapon, and as an aid in swimming (from wikipedia)

Thief moveset: main hand warfan is more focused on condition damage, offhand is for inspiring you and nearby allies granting boons

Mainhand 1 (3-attack sequence, no cost):
>Elegant Slash: Slash enemy inflicting bleed
>Elegant Slice: Slash enemy inflicting bleed

Elementalist movesets:

Fire moveset: Offensive mid/close range moveset, Obvious references included

Mainhand 1 (3-attack sequence, all attacks have 300 range)
>Flamming Fist: Punch the air shooting a fireball that deals damage
>Burning Fist: Punch the air releasing a blaze that inflict Burning to enemies in a line
>Blazing Sweep: Do a leg sweep at the enemies face, inflicting Burn and Dazing enemies in a cone in front of you

Mainhand 2 (8 sec cooldown, 1200 range, 3 sec hold)
>Blazing Fist: Hold the button to charge energy up to 3 seconds, when the button is released your character thrusts his palms forward, sending a fireball towards the opponent inflicting burn, the size and damage of the burning increases with charge time

Mainhand 3 (20 sec cooldown, 200 range radius)
>Flying Dragon: Your character performs a spinning jumping uppercut while engulfed in flames, knocking down and burning all enemies in the attack radius.

Offhand 1 (15 sec cooldown, 800 range, 3 sec hold)
>Meteor Swarm: Your character jumps backwards and releases a flurry of punches that shot small meteors on the targeted enemy, each shot pushes your character back a bit (allowing you to “float” for the duration of the attack if the enemy is under you), you can hold the button to extend the duration

Water moveset: most of these attacks are a reference to my favorite character from an old japanese show, almost pure offensive moveset

>Aurora Attack: Clasps both of your character’s hands together as he expels snow and ice in a line damaging and inflicting Vulnerability on all enemies on the way and Regenerating allies

Offhand 1 (25 sec cooldown, 900 range)
>Ring of Ice: Creates circle of ice arround your target that stops his movement until he breaks the ice

Offhand 2 (30 sec cooldown, 200 range radius)
>Aurora Finisher: Throw an uppercut that creates an icy tornado that damages and Chill enemies in the area while destroying any projectiles during the attack, randomly removes Conditions from allies in range, the icy tornado lasts 2 seconds

Air moveset: Very little offensive power, but has good support and its great for kiting

Mainhand 1 (600 range)
>Wind Fist: Punches the air creating an airburst that damages and push back the enemy a bit (50 range)

Mainhand 2 (20 sec cooldown, 600 range)
>Thunder Fist: Strike your foe with lightning stunning him for 1 second, the lightning then jumps to a nearby enemy stunning for half of the duration of the last stun, up to 3 times.

>Slipstream: Gains Swiftness for 15 seconds and also grants Swiftness for 5 seconds to any ally you pass through and remove it enemies for 15 seconds

>Whrilwind: Creates a strong wind semi-sphere arround you that reflect projectiles and pushes melee attackers back, up to 3 seconds

Earth moveset: This moveset that allows the elementalist to fight two enemies at once if he is skilled enough, one at melee range and another (targeted) at long range

Mainhand 1 (1200 range)
>Golem Punch: Punches dealing damage and inflicting Weakness to your foe, while summoning a giant stone fist that damages all enemies in a line

Mainhand 2 (18 sec cooldown, 1200 range)
>Golem Uppercut: Do a uppercut damaging and stunning the enemy in front of you, while summoning a giant stone fist that punches the targeted enemy from below, launching the enemy away if it hits

Mainhand 3 (12 sec cooldown, 1200 range)
>Golem Clap: Your hands meet in a strong clap that Dazes nearby enemies, while summoning two giant stone palms that crush your target stunning him if they hit.

Offhand 1 (36 sec cooldown, 1200 range)
>Stone Choke: Attempts to grab the foe in front of you, if you manage hold the button to keep him stunned while damaging him, meanwhile a destructible giant stone hand that grabs the target legs immobilizing and start crushing him

Fist weapons would be something like Fighting Gloves, they would differ from armor gloves and would be crafted by Weaponsmiths

Warrior moveset: Based on condition damage, also good set for picking an enemy in the mid of many

Mainhand 1 (3-attack sequence)
>Double Punch: Punch the enemy twice quickly, inflicts Interal Bleeding*
>Palm Strike: Attack the enemy vitals, deal low damage but inflicts a stack of Marked for Death**.
>Slam: Slam the enemy with both hands, Crippling for a short period.

Mainhand 2 (10 sec cooldown, 800 range)
>Rush: Sprint forward at incredible speed, if your character makes contact with an enemy while sprinting the enemy is grabbed, in the end of the sprint the grabbed enemy is smashed into the ground taking damage (with knockdown effct)

Mainhand 3 (12 sec cooldown, 200 range, 3 sec channel)
>Delayed Death: Releases a flurry of multiple jabs in a cone front of you, each attack deals insignificant damage, but inflicts Marked for Death** that lasts for 3 seconds, each blow add a stack and refreshes the duration.

Offhand 1 (12 sec cooldown, up to 3 sec hold)
>Disarm: Hold your guard up for up to 3 seconds, countering incomming melee attacks and inflicting Daze to attackers, while deflecting projectiles in front of you.

Offhand 2 (20 sec cooldown, 800 range)
>Flying Kick: Leap evading enemy attacks then accelerate midair in the direction of your target delivering a deadly kick that inflicts Internal Bleeding*.

Burst: (200/400/600 range radius)
>Chi Blast: Stomp the ground knocking down and inflicting Marked for Death** on all nearby foes, the damage dealt and the area of effect increases with adrenaline.

Internal Bleeding: its normal Bleeding, i just called it “internal” to not mess with the character theme

>Static Punch: Dashes forward at incredible speed while charging your fists with static electricity, removing conditions from all allies you move through, if you make contact with an enemy during the charge you punches the enemy hard knocking it down.

Mainhand 3 (18 sec cooldown, 1000 range)
>Grappling Hook: Shots a grappling hook that deal damage and pulls the foe to you, if a friend is targeted instead the hook pulls you towards him blocking the next incomming attack for your ally

Offhand 1 (20 sec cooldown, 1000 range)
>Rocket Punch: Shots a rocket punch that explodes upon hitting the enemy, stuns enemy if hit at point blank range

Offhand 2 (30 sec cooldown, 200-1000 range radius, hold down button to increase duration up to 5 seconds)
>Defibrillator: Electrify the area, removing conditions from you and allies every second while damaging nearby enemies, when you release the button you shock the area nearby stunning enemies and reviving allies, the area size depends on the time you held the skill
