There is a hard mode already, plain and simple, go play naked.

Throwing marks (upgrade component) in mystic forge.
YoloMouse is a good application but is not 100% reliable.

Do you have 64 slots already? I read that 64 is maximum.
If not, don’t delete a fully equipped 2 years old character, you’ll never know when it will become handy. Use a total makeover kit if you don’t like the look, and park it somewhere, near a chest. Use it as a mule if you want.

Basically, Knowledge (learn the encounter, learn to avoid damage by dodges, blocks, reflects) keeps you alive.
Also, survivability relies on your class, traits, bonuses, play style.
“So much damage” is subjective and less than maximum damage.

It’s not about skill or will or rocket science, it is about numbers.
Vinewrath fails because they are increasingly few active players on the map. Lfg posts announcing vw and the map still won’t fill up. Silverwastes was created for large numbers. Events don’t scale down. Is not possible to defend a line with 3 players.
There are several reasons why players are no longer interested to visit Sw. I won’t list them now. I would like to recall the dredge fractal effect. Once players have gone , it’s hard to get them back .

Targeting system is at it is because pvp. Only one or two targets (if more, you’re dead anyway), all targets valid (no bunnies, no moas, no doors, nothing to distract you), you may have to press tab no more than once.
Maybe, along with protests by pvp crowds, targeting will be improved somehow.
Buying or crafting, you have to farm either way. Gold, materials, karma, skill points, wvw badges. Ask yourself if you are ready to do map completion, that including wvw, and run like 6 times a specific dungeon. If you are an adventurer, craft the first one. If not, place a buying offer and wait for a poor desperate to sell for a little price.

Aim for another Teq’s hoard and choose the dagger, nice setup for a condi necro.

I think telling the difference from armor type is a big issue as well. Maybe some little symbol in the corner of each item.. like M for masterwork L for legendary, ect..
….or they could hover the cursor over the item and see what rarity a piece of equipment is.

A series of game screenshots can successfully substitute the Ishihara test for colourblind people. How long does it take to change the cursor to make it more visible , possibly to add an option to no longer hide it when you right- click? This issue has been raised from the beginning , there were many open threads , then lost in the forum’s depths, unanswered, unsolved. I am afraid that this thread will have the same fate , unfortunately, because colourblind people are a minority and there are more important things to solve.
Dungeons are already soloable for the most part. What people are asking for is for the difficulty to be reduced. I think that reducing difficulty in this game is a bad idea.

Oh sorry, this was released already.
Unfortunately, not only poor class balance for pve, also the infamous combat mode and the lack of a targeting system is due spvp.
This has been mentioned and I want to confirm, Hero of the wastes buff works. I had over 20 attempts without buff, I got the last 2 boxes in 5 runs with buff, so you stay in the same map and do events from the beginning. I know it’s a time consuming but worth trying.

Sorry , my mistake , I was thinking of Silverwastes regular teragriffs which I maintain my statement. Annoying to solo melee, much harder to fight against two of them, deadly when any other mob interferes.
About the final boss from the living story instance I can say I shot him to death staying in a safe corner, taking zero damage (this happened in the second run, the first one, playing melee was a little bit more complicated). A runner not a static boss, no difference. I chose the easy way, some may say I did not play as intended, doesn’t matter, I cannot say if this design is a step in the right direction.

Imagine you and two other adventurers trying to defend a fort. You are a melee player. How do you manage the fight against 2 teragriffs, 2 husks and a trasher in the same time? Every teragriff second attack is a knockback, every second husk attack immobilizes you, in the torment trasher’s pool. If another 3 menders do appear, it’s over. Three steps away, a level 83 husk slinger is waiting to one shoot you.
Every release we have to come back and talk again about profession balance and event scaling.
This map is about zerg against zerg. Play ranged if you want to survive, bearbow paradise.
I’m not complaining about the fights being too hard, but being a tragriff’s ragdoll, or 10 seconds of fear or 15 seconds "love"is pretty much annoying. Why? Because you ran out of dodges and your stunbreaker is on cooldown.
Read the magic word again. Balance.
Spamming knockbacs is the right direction? Give me a 1 sec cooldown stability/stunbreaker skill and i will be ok. There has to be a balance in this game, though.

This is the biggest and complex world event in the game, it deserves a little more attention, I think. There are still few players who participate , who wants them to quit ?
Remove the chest and the reward/risk ratio will drop to zero. Champ bags were nerfed already, balance and scaling are poor implemented. Farmers will go back to mites. Silk and t6 mats prices will rise again.
Still, it’s a relatively easy achievement, unless you are a guardian. Don’t do that on a guardian. Aegis from Virtue of Courage unfortunately does count against the achievement.

I did it incredibly easily on guardian. It requires you to remove the buff and make sure not to go to a vortex if the buff is about to come back. Not difficult.

What I did was continuously use F3 and then intentionally get hit to remove Aegis.

I don’t think is a “L2P” issue only, is more a profession balance issue.
I, personally, need more than 15 seconds to grab a drink, so 30 would be perfect for me.
Yes, it’s player’s fault they have bad connection. Most of them can do nothing about that. Savant solutions do not work for them.
That’s why we politely ask ANet to find a solution to allow players, for a brief period of time (one or two minutes) after disconnect, to rejoin the same map instance, so the event’s chance of success won’t be affected.
