I don’t think they’ll shut GW1 down anytime soon. Though I have no evidence, I still suspect that plenty of people continue to buy it and stuff like costumes, the Bonus Mission Pack, etc. I also think that with GW2’s current emphasis on Glint, many players who only own GW2 will become more interested in the events of the first game, and some will probably buy it to check it out.
Revenant is more fun and immersive if you played gw1

Yeah but what I’m also saying aside from that part is when the timer goes from 30 mins to 0 it should start a new round not zone everyone out back to Divinity’s Reach.
Again, it doesn’t zone everyone to DR. It closes the map and tries to find a New one, since they are full it kicks people back to DR.
Which do you think has bigger kitten?
I think champion of the gods (50 HoM points) requires more work than GWAMM.
But God walking amongst mere mortals (30 maxed titles gw1) is a better title itself.
But I doubt people even know what champion title is.

Well, it does require the Angry Wintersday Gift and I’m sure an angry player will be in on the forums posting about the glider at some point, so that 2 of the 3 requirements. ^^

Why is PvP the only sure way to get the water breather? There is no spvp water combat (even then it’d be standard PvP gear).
Why not make the meta achievement reward an ultimate gift?
Or have snowball arena work towards wintersday track.

Cool! Doing that I see that last year’s Wintersday came out just after 5 pm Eastern. And the post HoT builds seem to be around 4 to 5 pm Eastern. At least my timestamps on the popup are around there.

Can you screenshot this time stamp? I’d love to see something more specific than “About a year ago.” I’m not being snide, I’m sincerely curious, I’ve never found a way to see exactly when something was posted once it gets into the “about x hours/days/weeks/years ago.”

The hot fixes happen whenever they are ready, but normal bi-weekly content patch always Tuesday morning. Only one I remember being delay was Halloween 2014.

They finish patch, wait to push it in morning so they have a full work day to fix things.
I don’t care if its delayed but I care that people don’t get there is a usual time for the bi-weekly patch.
It’s early yet anyway. Tuesday patches generally come anywhere from 11 am to 3 pm Pacific and it’s only past 9 am Pacific now. They never have a set time to drop a Tuesday patch.
Its been a usual 9am pst since daylight savings and HoT launch.
I’ve heard that arguement too, and it doesn’t make sense. Because something is above ground or underground doesn’t make it another map. It makes it another level of the same map.
So if I take the underground part of a map and rather than occupying the same “space”, I just give it some kind of cave entrance at the edge of the map, would that make it a new map? Why/Why not?
What arbitrary rules are you setting for what defines a “map”? Because if it’s about having a map of its own, then that condition is fulfilled by every single Home instance and the separate levels in places like the Grove.
The problem is there isn’t much underground area…
Verdant Brinks is all air and cliffs with like 2 ruined areas at jungle floor.
Auric Basin has the short chest run underground if meta succeeded.
Tangles Depths does not have much overlap. Nothing above the lanes and leyline hub area, not much above rata novus, nothing below ogre and scar camps.
Dragon’s Stand has a some caves.
Same for the canopy areas.
VB has a few boss arenas and hero points.
AB doesn’t have an upper area.
TD has a couple cliffs and a big tree.
DS doesn’t have an upper area.
I was disappointed with map size. They were hyped up to be huge maps wi lots of vertical space. But in reality we got maps with some trees, cliffs, and caves. Tangled Depths is closest to the hyped up “3 levels” and it just barely cuts it with some over ground overlapping underground (underwater was pointless). Even Verdant Brinks has main level with events, and then a couple hero points below and above. I was expecting layered environments but we got: Oh there is an event in this cave and a champion on that ledge! But at least the verticality that was there was fun (Pale reavers chain as an example).
the same with elementalist. he talks too much while using skills. much more than anyone else in this game.
Human male ele hasn’t bothered me at all, maybe because he only says fire, water, air, earth most of the time. But when I hear other elementalists, they make me cringe.
I actually like our guild hall for small guild. We each actually feel like we are helping upgrade it instead of most large guilds where the rich leaders are the only ones really upgrading it.
I guess it’s a problem if its a small casual guild, our guild isn’t really rich but we do have the means to gather the materials, we might not get everything but it’s about going step by step.
guys im talking about the pvp area while u que for ranked arenas nothing to do with wvw or LA :P i never even leave the pvp area only to level up my characters with the tome of knowledge xD
Guys? I knew exactly what you meant. But why does it need that if LA is a free portal away and WvW is a click away? Pvpers don’t even need to craft gear so if you need gold either tp loot you get or salvage and tp materials.
I like compact button, cleans up items I missed while salvaging.
I use crafting bags so materials don’t clutter inventory.
I use invisible bags for consumables and secondary gear.

Nah they put 2 outfits in the biweekly patches but delays 1 for a week. So I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised this week patch didn’t have a datamined outfit.
