Nerf it more and it is a junk heal, everyone will go adrenal surge because burst heal > regen.
It is also our only method of healing unless investing ridiculous amount of points, gimping our damage.
This is such a cheap thread, you are only comparing the ‘6’ skills to each other, while other classes (engi for example) has way more healing sources than the warrior. Let alone stealth breaking target (big deal!) and dropping damage for that duration, aegis, blind spams, protection. All ways that indirectly heal you to which the warrior has NO access too.

Healing signet is in a good spot. Drop it to 350HPS and nobody will take it.

ps.: ele can have the same heal on their signet but lose entire water attunement as trade off. Would you accept that?

1. L2P it is easy to see as to dodge, can even see it in small scale fights. Only when you run in a zerg you have an excuse.
2. This warrior has to be 100% zerker and real glass to hit those numbers, in other words easy to kill (so not really viable for zerg play)
3. Decent played necro wins from warrior, because of all the condi pressure they apply and the insane amounts of debuffs (20+s chill, really?)
4. Warriors have been hit with dmg nerfs for 4 patches in a row, 5th coming up. What buffs?
5. In my opinion Anet favors conditions specs…necros.

Already full zerker so having to do 10% damage isn’t that big of a deal for me, I mean my final thrust just went from an average of 8kish to 7200 omg what will I do now doing 7200 in one hit only

Yea funny thing is, they want to hit zerker to promote tanky builds more but actually are hitting the tanky builds harder. So far the logic of Anet I guess. For a full zerker build this ain’t really an issue no. Especially not when running full ascended, your damage will just drop to the days with exotic and ascended trinkets.

Only problem for roaming was that condi builds were already slightly stronger in 1vs1 situations. Now by nerfing power builds, they are definitely stronger.

I am not complaining tho, I just had more fun with my power builds than my condi builds. I already have +-25 ascended trinkets both for condi as for power builds and around 30 exotic weapons and 9 armor sets, so I can easily adjust.

It is just that I think condi specs are incredibly easy to play and really boring aswel. But yea, that is just my opinion and it hurts that they took my other options (power) away.

So who is going to respecc condi now, if you haven’t already. If I calculate it right, it ain’t worth it anymore going mixed power gear, basically it is going to be full zerker or go home for power roamers.

I just don’t see any reason at all anymore to not run a condi warrior anymore. I am thinking of a sword/sword – sword/shield warrior, bleed and torment stacking and poison on weaponswap. Might even mix in perplexity runes. Looks real tanky and high damage.

Already got my condi bunker set for my warrior, because mixed power gear ain’t worth it anymore. And trust me, I got 2k+ hours of WvW roaming on my warrior. It is now going full zerker or tank/support. The last one doesn’t deal damage so condi bunker it is.

I am predicting A LOT of condi warriors roaming now.

8k over 20 seconds is a lot of healing. Add in dogged march and adrenal health and you can get over 12k health every 20 seconds. Then there are banners or healing shouts, but at leat those require significant investment. The proposal here is to provide active mitigation while reducing passive recovery. This of course requires more skilful play to pull off to its full potential and raises the skill cap but we are not talking about gutting the passive anyway. 1 block per adrenaline bar on a very short cooldown that works regardless of equipment and works with cleansing ire should be plenty. Ad half duration stances on half duration cool downs and I think you have a very fun and active class. More room for risk/reward.

You know other classes can burst heal up to 20-25k right? Engis healing is by far superior to warriors healing.

And by the way, a block has a duration. If not it is called aegis. And that is the guardians mechanic. So you could give the warrior a 1s block (meaning all attacks blocked for 1s) for each adrenal bar. And I could agree to that. You could even swap out adrenal health for this.

1 Thing I would like to add is that if you reduce the healing signets heal, the warrior will have no means of getting his health bar back up. No means at all. All the other classes have healing from multiple sources while the warrior only has 1 (2 with adrenal health). You can spec into shout heal, but this is such a significant damage cut that it ain’t worth it for roaming.

Healing signet takes 20s…yes 20s! to heal 8k dmg back up. That is a pretty long time. Considering the warrior is in the open 100% of the time. He soaks up all the damage thrown at him. Only thing he can do is make him invulnerable for a short duration but those skills are on long CD.

Throw in the highly telegraphed skills that are so easy to dodge that you could finish your tea before having to press dodge. Then you come to the conclusion warriors are fine as they are.

Don’t reduce our ONLY source of healing and give us a periodic block that blocks 1 attack. 1 attack…. not even close to worth it. Definitely not in group fights were the block will most likely be used on a fast hitting low damage channeled ability.

Warriors had to give up a lot of damage to get this healing buff. Our condi cleaning got nerfed and buffed again so that stayed pretty much the same.

There are so many biased opinions about the warrior right now, thrown in the world by people who don’t know how the class works. Or simply don’t know how their own class works. For everything people complain about the warrior, the warrior has to give up a lot to achieve those things. His mobility for example.

If you know how a warriors skills work, you wont get hit by them.

PvE IS boring, on any class.

Almost got 3k hours on my warrior and still love him the most of all, but I almost only do WvW. Roaming and raiding with my guild.

Most fun I ever had was roaming on warrior in GvG, it is super dynamic, fast gameplay and against equally skilled players. Sweat was literally dripping down after the 10th round and I was exhausted. Just pinnacle of fun you can have in this game.

Don’t think backstab thiefs are OP in WvW, they are just nub stompers.
The blind/stealth spam thiefs are the ones that are almost unkillable. Thiefs aren’t in a bad position right now, stunbreak the venom or block it’s burst.

Hahahaha, are you new to the warrior? Overall the damage output of the warrior got nerfed 4 patches in a row, we lost 2 condi removals and gained 3.

Only 2 big changes done to the warrior were berserker stance and buff to healing signet. Rest were nerfs or nerf + buff cancelling each other out.

In other words, we can take little more damage and deal a lot less.

Yeah the Hammer meta was toned down but it doesn’t really matter much. They still CC people to death and as annoying as it was it was less OP than dual sword. My build wasn’t touched even slightly. He’s still an indestructible god that deals unrealistically high damage in multiple ways and manages to move at the speed of light while wearing the heaviest armor. With Regen Signet alone all warriors can still be unstoppable forces that can’t even be 1 on 1’d while they’re AFK.

Slightly exaggerated :p, but I have to agree. A condition warrior is really strong, build him half offensive and half defensive and you can win most fights. This is not because of warrior his broken mechanics tho, this is just because how conditions work.

Warrior has a good mobility, but people often forget that they were intended too. We don’t have protection, we don’t have stealth, we don’t have tons of burst heals, blind spam, eagis and blocks (only shield block but that is pretty long CD). And the mobility of sword alone ain’t that high, most classes can keep up with that.

Warrior can have insane mobility but he’ll give up so much damage and 1vsX potential. So it definitely has a trade off.

The healing signet is strong, but not OP as many claim, it takes 20s to heal 8k health back up. You are a pretty bad player if you can’t deal 8k dmg in 20s. I myself on a warrior never have problems taking down warriors. Condition warriors did form a problem but necros and engis aswel. I changed my build however and now only engis for a problem :p.

ps.: if you fail to dodge the hammer attacks you deserve to die. I dodged an enemy warrior for 10min straight. He used hammer/greatsword. Don’t think he hit me once with backbreaker or earthshaker. I didn’t fought back, was hilarious to see him rage in party chat (he invited himself and wanted to kill me :p)

Believe me, the torment is way stronger. Why you may ask?
Because a warrior already has an easy time in stacking bleeds, 25 bleeds is no problem for him and that is the cap, anything above that is wasted. Meaning changing that skill from bleed to torment, you can deal more damage per second in conditions. And because torment is so strong and stays on for so long, this extra damage can add up big time.

In my opinion the sword ‘4’ is OP and needs to be changed. I even see it in a lot of PvE builds for soloing dungeons.

Deep cuts does affect it and yes you can troll people, go full condi warrior, go full canon mastery and you can 2 shot people.

We did it with a guardian giving me might aswel. Was hilarious, people melting to the bleeds and stuck in place by never ending chills.

I earned 8 exotic armor sets all skinned
7 ascended armor pieces also skinned (total of 9 armor sets)
30 exotic weapons also all skinned (quite a few in the 200-300g price range)
Around 20 ascended trinkets (done with GM and rings with fractals so only PvE)
And almost my first legendary.

All this was earned for 90%+ in WvW, I don’t get how you NOT earn money in WvW. I even pay for upgrades and all. And no I don’t only zerg, I roam a lot and raid with my guild. Just sell the mats you get and salvage all the rares/greens/blues. You get 100s of those.

Multiple stuns, how to retaliate?

I am a warrior player and let us clear a few things up.

To apply this amount of stuns dazes, I am assuming he runs hammer – mace/shield. Now the mobility on that build is enourmously bad, so kiting is the answer here.

I am again assuming you are a condi necro as you are really tanky as you said. Now condi necros have an incredible easy time killing these types of warriors. Run the +40% condi duration food and keep your distance, stack slows and chills on him and you’ll have a 100% useless warrior. Watch how he goes down to your amazing condi damage.

Another point I like to make is how telegraphed the warriors skills are, learn their animations. So if he by any chance gets close, dodge and apply chill again.

So how to counter:
1) +40% condi duration food
2) chill and slow him to death
3) learn his animations and learn to dodge
4) keep max distance

Is this warrior build OP? No, there are plenty of counters to it and you only need 3 bleed stacks to start outdamaging his healing signet. The necro just had a small l2p issue and I hope he now knows how to kill warriors. I actually think stunlock warriors are pretty kittenty.

I am a WvW player, solo/small group roaming and raiding and I almost finished my first full ascended set. Planning on making 2 more for my warrior alone.

1 day in WvW gives me around 200 silk scraps salvaging stuff I get.
10000/200 = 50 days – 30 days (needed for laurels) = 20 day delay on full ascended if you want to make it without buying from TP.

Don’t see the trouble really.

Heavy ascended costs one third of what light ascended costs.

Oops, wasn’t aware of that. My bad. Than the costs might be a little steep yea.

First step towards fixing conditions

Let’s break down how conditions are getting applied and how they get removed. First we’ll look at solo roaming. Engis and necros can apply almost every condition in game and keep them refreshed. While 1 person with all the condis on him only has a limited amount of condition cleaning. Meaning he’ll melt with 20s+ of chill on him.

Conditions don’t only deal damage, they handicap your damage, your defense, your healing AND your mobility. Even your skill recharges get handicaped. So in a nutshell, they deal dmg and prevent you from dealing dmg back.

If we combine this previous fact with the amount of armor a condi build can stack (full rabid) without losing out on dmg, you get a tanky condi burst build with a burst equal or higher than a power build in OPTIMAL circumstances.

Now why aren’t conditions effective in zerg play? That is because the nature of condition cleaning. Most condition cleaners are ment to be supportive and remove conditions not only from yourself but also from peopel near you. 1 from yourself and 1 from 5 people around you, making it 6 in total compared to the 1 in solo play. This highers the condition cleaning in zergs by 6 fold effectively keeping you condition clean.

But the biggest problem is the ease with which they are getting applied and how hard it is to dodge them. Because they are getting applied so easily and quickly, the condi burst (let us say the dmg in the first 5s of a fight) is equal and even higher than pure zerker builds. This while power attacks are much easier to dodge, don’t nerf your damage or mobility and requires you to go A LOT more squishy.

Ofcourse you want an example now, a condition thiefs burst is higher than that of a full zerker thief. And that while after the zerker thiefs burst he is out, but the conditions keep ticking.

Why are conditions OP?
-To easy to apply
-Can combine tanky with full condition damage
-Initial burst is way to high
-Debuffs the enemy to such degree that he is useless and can’t do anything back
-Nature of condition cleaning as tools for supportive build making them only viable in zerg play
-Stay on for too long, dealing unnatural high amounts of damage (20k+ with the torment of warrior alone)

I like this summary, after 2000hours+ in wvw I consider your post to be correct.
Could be a few things added here and there, but in general it is correct.

Condi necros really are out of control, only thing to justify them is their low mobility.
But the class is so easy to play and can put so so much pressure it is insane. +40% condi
duration food completely makes them a broken class.

Bleed cap ruin condition build?

You guys should play more WvW/PvP. Condition specs are highly overpowered there at the moment. There are a few reasons for that.
One you only have to invest in 1 stat to deal a lot of damage compared to 3 for power builds. This is why they can go really defensively aswel.
Two, a full condi burst build can burst someone down faster than a full berserker build in WvW. How is this possible? Because of the amount of condis there are and how fast they can be applied. Adding torment to the game was a big mistake imo.
Three, conditions are easier applied than removed in small group play. A warrior can stack up 20+ bleeds within 3-4 seconds and easily maintain them. That is 2,5-3k dmg/s!

There is only 1 reason why conditions don’t rule the world and that is because aoe condi removal removes 6 condis in total. So a zerg has 6* the condi removal than someone solo. That is why conditions don’t really work in zerg play, but for solo they are the way to go.

I am actually in favor of lowering the cap to 20 and reducing the torment duration by 50% and fixing condis in zerg play and PvE.

This is incorrect. While admittedly playing other classes are better at specific things saying a ranger is useless is wrong. When specced correctly they have plenty of survivability, heaps of aoe immobilize, and one of the most dependable vulnerability stacks in the game.

They do, I admit that. But they don’t fit into any role in the current meta. Not a role an other class can do way better, more efficiently that is.

Not because of the armor, it is about what they bring to a teamfight. And you see more and more engis in raids and GvGs. We run 2-3 engis of our own for waterfields/blasting/CC or heavy nuke damage.

Thiefs are THE class chosen to roam in GvGs and they often help blasting in raids or burst squishy targets down.

A ranger is just useless to its group.

I down one and do use my invulnerability to stomp him, now it is 2vs1 and I am still good in health. Play defensively for a bit now till your health is good and your burst is back, down 2nd player. Last one tries to rezz him. No problem, damage him as much as you can. Now you have 2 downed or 2 very weakened players. Finish the job and done.

I don’t really have anything against downed state, sometimes it works against me, sometimes it works in my favor. I don’t think it helps the zerg at all. I love seeing them trying to rezz and bomb on that location just to see the downed die and the rezzers getting downed.

Nope I like downed state.

Can riverside please keep their members in line? I have never seen a server with this amount of cheaters, hacking into towers, speed hacking, map hacking and killing the lord from under the ground and ofcourse all guildless.

Even your commanders are using zoomhacks, I know they are easy to use. But for fairplay and respect of others…don’t.

Hope you can improve your members, I know it ain’t your fault you have this amount of cheaters on. But help us aswel to report them and ban them from your TS. We have seen commanders of your server using these kind of things. This shouldn’t be possible.

We need more things to use them on or to atleast be able to sell them. Myself and tons and tons of other people have gotten to the point we just destroy them. They take up inventory space.

Without giving any specifics, I’d highly recommend you change that strategy. There are things coming soon that will give you lots to spend it on.

I hope so, because I am closing in on 2.5k dragonite ore now from just playing WvW. The ascended armor will drop that a bit, but it takes 1 month to craft so it’ll be up again by that time. Chestplate done <3

I doesn’t heal the full amount… read the tooltip

You get healed around 2k when popping and an additional 125 for each hit you take including condition ticks.

Nobody is going to use it while roaming.

How do you think rangers fare in WvW?

80k kills in WvW and met 1 good ranger so far. Mostly they die in 2-3 or even 1 hit. I see them as easy lootbags.

They are pretty terrible in group combat, they should be strong roaming but I don’t think the good players pick ranger often.

No, it’s 1853 healing per hit.

Definitely not, that is the initial heal. So you’ll heal that amount and a certain amount (earlier I read 125) per hit you receive in the 3s window.

In 1vs1 situations it is even OP, just bring more CC than your enemy dodge rolls and you will get caught in the chain. I have seen plenty of duels, enemy keeps out and dodges perfectly, than he runs out and gets smacked by hits of 5k+.

No the damage was out of line with the amount of CC it dealt and only 2 skills get nerfed. I think they did a nice job balancing the hammer out.

You need to get hit around 75 times in that 3s window to get close to what adrenal surge heals now. Assuming the tooltip I saw earlier is correct and each hit heals you for 125.

So I don’t think it is worth it and it is definitely not OP, and my god that cooldown.

Works per hit, not by an amount of damage.

You need to get hit around 75 times (thought the heal/hit was 125) to get close to what adrenal surge is worth as a heal. So this heal really is only worth it in small amount of certain circumstances.

Don’t think I’ll use it.

People seriously still complaining about healing signet? How many months does it take for someone to counter it? Bit of poison and you are done for.

Every decent player I know says he does not have problems out damaging the healing signet. Think like this: hit a warrior for 8k and it takes him 20s to regenerate it. That is more than enough time to deal another 8k in damage.

Great fortitude actually gives me around 1k bonus health, which ain’t all to bad.

I still use death from above in WvW because that skill has endless possibilities and I simply love it.

You may remember Devon Carver blog at june 5, on the Future of WvW:

“Right now our game rewards you for holding an objective, not necessarily for taking it, and overwhelmingly favors the last server to log out for the day. We have some ideas in the pipeline to try to increase scoring when people are playing the game and to make it much more difficult to keep your territory without actively guarding it.”

Actually not, we are slowly getting there. The adding of points for stomping is an example of this. I am not saying it is enough, but Devon has to take it slowly and I do have to agree with him. WvW is heading in the right direction (finally!)

When the edge of the mists come out we can all play there and not in the WvW borderlands, few if any will play there, even now a proper wvwer would know that ppt is just an arbitrary number, Most people will be in Edge of the Mists and its overflows, much to the discontent on devon carver who wants server “competition”

Untrue, Devon has said that if this new map is more popular that the current WvW it could at some point replace it. They even hope it will be really popular because that will show them that the things they learned from the current WvW map enabled them to make an even better map.

@OP: You can’t punish people that play at night. Because for some night is actually day and their effort for the server should be equally rewarded as the people that play in the so called ‘prime’. I don’t say it doesn’t create imbalances, but it is the only way for now. Only thing I can say is have fun and don’t care to much about PPT, because trust me, you’ll start hurting your real life if you do that too much.

I think it was intended. Or I remember something said like that. The cap on weaponswap CD is 5s. Because it wouldn’t make sense, sigils wouldn’t trigger and traits wouldn’t either.

So no point in taking it. It is a bit the same as maximum condition duration being 100%

How did you make it to lvl 80? Even in the second one he clicks his skills, could have been under 6seconds if he didn’t

Deal with it. Or play another class.

Are condition classes complaining that they barely deal damage to bosses? Because they are useless there.

Hammer nerfs are more than deserved, my friend has 3.2k armor and crits 4k with hammer autoattack, 7k backbreakers, 6k staggering blows and 7k earthshakers. And keeps 5 people CCed down.

Yea…balanced? Besides they are only nerfing the damage on 2 skills of the hammer, the CC ones. So that even makes perfect sense.
