I don’t really feel weak to be honest. But I did ditch berserker elite, past nerfs made berserker a lot less strong than core warrior.
Can notice it the most fighting as a core warrior against berserkers, they just can’t touch me and I am superior in every way.
I am 100% in love with the might makes right trait tho, it does actually make things right.
Curious to what spellbreaker will bring to the table.
What is wrong with it? I does break stun and does what the tooltip says. I have been stunned and hit to below 50% the trait triggered, broke the stun and gave me a nice heal.
This trait saved me more times than I can count, part because it has a stunbreak on it.
I doubt Anet is still using windows xp… so don’t worry gw will stay safe. And they actually do decrypt your data if you pay. And I am pretty sure anet is aware as it has been all over the news.
It’s the companies own fault if they get infected. Kinda asked for it imo never patching your systems…
Have the same issue, gw2 worked fine before the w10 update and now the launcher just crashes without message or starting the game.
My engi takes it too the next level. Those shoes really can do everything! Run up a wall like spiderman!
For all the people thinking this is unlikely. I actually think not. Ddos has been used in gaming for years already and it is really cheap to flood someones personal pc. They only need to get your ip and can DC you at any time. This is definitely not the first time I heard about this in gw. I can recall multiple occasions on which I know our TS got ddos or a commander that was doing really well by the oppossing server. I even had a friend who was always mocking people on TS till someone threatened him with hacking. He laughed it off. Next morning he couldn’t access his account. They gave him the new password after some days after he promised to move servers. Yes, WvW is serious bussniss. I know people who never use TS because it is to easy to get your ip off it and people can DC you in fights. So yes ddos in gaming is definitely a thing. Here a video of it happening live.

I rarely post on the forums, but this just has to be said. Since the stability changes lag has been horrendous. Even on borderlands with barely any people on, roaming is virtually impossible. People porting, skills not working or bugging out, even auto-attack doesn’t even work properly. I checked everything on my side and nothing is causing lag, connection is great and internet speed top notch. Other games play just fine.
So please revert the stability change or upgrade your servers, just do something as more and more people don’t even bother going into wvw anymore because playing with lag is no fun.

His build ain’t complicated, I actually improved it a little and field tested it. It really is kitten and anything decent will kill it. It is just good to troll or play afk a little when bored.
If you didn’t know it yet, this is a ego feeding thread. Just watch a few youtube videos of this guy and you’ll quickly see he is a racist person.
These threads mostly end in a flamewar where real warriors call him out with calculations disproving his ‘claims’. So please close this down before I have to proof my point again with numbers…

I have asked our devs not to show their tags while participating in Adopt-A-Dev. The tag can become a big distraction and I really want them to be treated as regular players.
That said, we are not enforcing that request, it’s just my preference that they refrain from doing it.
I like this. This way it’ll become easier to see the major underlining problems of WvW. I hope you’ll get the information you need and do good things with it.
4.5k hours played and 3k hours in WvW, never saw a Dev. They are like mythical creatures. More rare than shiny pokemon.

You can break 75k if you go all in. Got a screenshot of 71k health, you can get higher now, so ye 75k is probably the highest.
Doesn’t beat my omega week on AG. In the last week of season 1 I built on average 100 omegas/day. Ended the week with +-670 omegas build.
200 omegas were from my own pocket, rest was sponsored by everyone on the server. Was amazing to see the trust people had in me and the help I received.
I am lvling a ranger as they are a fun class to roam with (the melee version). They are really strong in 1vs1s. Now that has been said.
Rangers wont be viable after the patch for GvGs. Thiefs/mesmers and warriors will always, in any case be better picks. You want to pew pew people from afar, so I am guessing you’ll be using longbow/greatsword or longbow/sword-dagger. And I am telling you that you’ll be the first one to go down and really fast aswel.
1) Poor mobility and repositioning or resetting skills
Signet of stone, is that all? Warrior can trait for double endure pain and shieldblock combined with high mobility to kite for days + can have a low CD leap to jump through smoke fields. Thiefs + mesmers can chain stealth for ages and heal back to full. Thief and warrior have insane mobility allowing them to stick to the target like glue. Or escape the enemy train.
2) Poor condi removal
Mesmer or warrior or even thief will root you down and burst you to downed state before you could react.
3) Worst source of CC
Immobilize? My warrior will experience it like a tiny lag spike and continue to bash your head in. Melee train has constant warhorn shouts and condi removals rendering roots useless, unless coordinated with a bomb. Warrior/thief/mesmer all have dazes and stuns.
4) No form of group support or stomp capabilities
You barely have stability, so you can’t stomp as you are standing miles away. Who cares if you take someone down when they get rezzed by the enemy train anyway. A warrior can stomp within the enemy train while they are dropping everything, thief can blink or stealth stomp. Not to mention stealth to rezz downed teammates or a warrior who can just tank everything while rezzing or pressuring the stompers with 100b.
5)Evades wont cut it
Your evade spam will end fast and wont bring you in safety, meaning you just survived kitten longer before you die. If a peripheral hunter dies fast in a GvG, it is pretty much already over. As they are the most important players on the field, wipe the enemy harassers and you have free game to take away all the healing and damage of the enemy train.
Sic em, entangle, longbow damage and or knockback and a immob trap wont cut it to survive or as CC or as enough utility to justify giving you a spot.
I played in countless GvGs watched tons of GvG streams and played with and against enormously good roaming groups. I have been actively GvGing for over 1.5 years. Let alone we have been theorycrafting tons of harasser setups to find the optimal set ups to counter the enemy harassers/kill peripherals as fast as possible. Synch builds, opening moves, burst timings/setups, etc.
And no, rangers just don’t fit in. Doesn’t matter how you twist or bend it.
Condi user complaining? You just need +40% food to counter a trait + runes + food. I think we should rather complain about the OP +40% food.
Practise, I probably have a success rate of 90%+. It ain’t that hard to do. But then again, I play A LOT.

Even with the traveler’s runes? I figured if necessary I can always take out the GS for getting around faster.
For a roamer warrior in WvW everything is about mobility. That is why almost nobody runs lb when roaming. Hammer with sword, sword with greatsword, greatsword with mace/axe/riffle. A melee warrior without mobility will get kited to pieces and you wont be able to land any damage.
I am not a fan of traveller either, we can get 25% movement speed from a minor trait. Armor runes are better invested in hoelbrak or melandru.
Gs with lb might work as you have the root to set up burst and mobility to stay alive. I have never been a big fan of lb in WvW tho, but that is personal. I just always found sword to outperform lb, easier to land root and a burst skill in final trust AND an extra gap closer.
So does the warrior offer some long time fun and motivation to keep getting better and better?
It depends on what you do. If you solo dungeons or PvP, there’s always motivation to get better. That’s for any class.
For normal PvE, not really. Warrior is a very easy class to play by design and has very high survivability, and there isn’t really much decision making when you use a skill. That results in a class which never really pushes you to do better and is very easy to master.
If you play thief then try warrior, you’ll feel like you just turned godmode on.
I find it the other way around xd. My friend always logs his thief when he gets killed on any class to kill that guy. Just because in 1on1s thief is godmode.
But I got 3000+ hours clocked in WvW and around 800 in sPvP/tPvP and PvE on my warrior. Still love em and recently lvled a new one.
Ye, full zerker build around 23k. I often go and hunt commanders on that build, target him with a party of 2-3 riffle warriors, killshot + volley and you won the zerg fight
Volley is often the same damage as killshot for me.
tbh if you want a challenge as melee play guardian or thief,
warrior is the easiest profession of all 8 to play.they have a very low skill arc but also probably the lowest skill ceiling of all classes,
played 24/7 you can do more by mastering other classes.general rule of thumb:

And when skill is equal its about 50/50. Warrior is strong in low and high level tiers.

And Sizer’s team was also running double warrior before the ToL in the ESL weekly cups. Watch cheese mode vs 55 HP monks. Both teams run double warrior when they fight each other.
And about hambow , its 50/50 a well played warrior vs any other class its always 50/50 there’s no such thing as beating something all the time.
And Sizer is Sizer, it is the best thief in the game of course he can beat everything.

Both a few engi and thief builds (maybe other classes have aswel) can 100% shut down hambow warriors. And you have to screw up really bad on those builds to lose. A hambow warrior can 100% shut down and condi necro aswel with the right build. No matter how bad you play. There really is such a thing as beating something all the time.
Double warrior has been said multiple times to not be the best team comp in tPvP. Warrior just doesn’t pull through in high competitive play. The only advantage they have is that they are strong on point, but as soon as there is a kiting opportunity, they are absolute kitten.
To answer the OP, a warrior is as simple or complex as you make them. There are tons of cool hidden tricks with the warrior that could greatly enhance your damage output. They are often called simple as it doesn’t take long to perform well on this class. But to perform as the best, they are actually quite hard. You really have to plan your moves and force your enemies dodge rolls/evades/blocks before you can burst. They definitely are lacking in the dueling aspect aswel in WvW, you got a few 1 trick pony builds that do good, but miss and you are probably dead. The problem with the warrior is that they are really telegraphed and you need to set up a burst in order to kill something.

I don’t recall him saying “everything I’m about to say is based on this one video”… I really don’t see how your reply deals with the substance of his post. Warriors are needed in zergs, they share that status with only one other class (guard). They’re also very strong in roaming, 1v1s, pve, and spvp… The only class that shares that general degree of viability is Guardian. The difference being is Guardian is harder to play, has less passive play, and has obvious weaknesses (low hp, low mobility, extreme vulnerability to boon stripping etc…).
What no? I got 3.7k hours on my warrior and around 400 on my guardian. With proper support builds, I think guardian is easier to play than a warrior and gives more reward (talking about loot). Only place where warrior is easier is for roaming, but that is because of other reasons (mobility issues).
If we look at GvGs, eles are almost the most important. Most healing comes from blasting waterfields. That is why both teams has thiefs/mesmer hunting down these eles as the melee train (guardians/warriors) will go down without eles. In zergs, most play guardian because of the easy tagging.
In PvE, warrior and guardian have very equal damage and survivability and both are equally easy to play. Tons of blocks and blinds definitely makes up for the low health on the guardian.
For roaming, warriors actually are mediocre. Well in 1vs1s to be more precise. Only warriors that might be to strong are condi warriors, but again this is because how condis work in WvW. Thiefs/mesmers/condi necros/engis and even good rangers/eles should all kill warriors. Only reason why warriors are often selected for roaming is because they are good nub stompers and are very mobile. Mobility is key in roaming.
Healing signet is just something frustrating to fight against as it seems that he doesn’t lose health, but there is no difference to a guardian/ele/engi/ranger keep dropping to 3k health and healing himself back to full. Remember that if you are dropping the warriors health, he doesn’t have anything anymore. He pretty much has no heal, only thing he can do is run away aka reset the fight. But thiefs/mesmers do this too with stealth.
No, warriors aren’t OP. Again only thing we can argue about are condi warriors in WvW. But power warriors are easy to counter/shut down. When you know their rotations and skill animations, they wont be able to touch you anymore.
Stupid idea, PvE has no place inside WvW. Go do world events if you want to fight brainless NPCs. Or flip ogres or dredge. People go to WvW to fight other players, they avoid PvE as much as they can. Like in our guild, multiple people haven’t even seen tequatle or don’t have map completion and that while having 3-4k+ ingame playing hours. PvE should be kept out of WvW, there already is enough of it as is.
I would suggest to decrease random mobs in WvW by 50%, aka the ascalonion/wolves/deers/trees/….

And yes, warriors damage got nerfed consistently over multiple patches. The old hammer build lost 40% dmg (talking about more than a year ago).
Reached 75k health on a warrior (no joke, got screenshots), so ye there is no cap. I think the first stack for uplevels gives them all the benefits just because they are upscaled.

Your comparison with life is somewhat off, but you are right about the evolution. And this is what every game goes through. Multiple games try to break this by constant balance changes, introducing new skills, introducing new classes. Sometimes things get nerfed hard if they get used too often and other things get buffed. This is all just to keep the game dynamic. If not, the game would stagnate into a few certain builds played till boredom.
That is why sPvP and roaming have builds that are very dynamic and changing often. As small changes have more impact. But the bigger meta, often referred to as GWEN, is a different story. Small changes have less effect and are often even ignored. But every so often even that meta will budge underneath the changes. Hard to predict when tho.
I do think this game still shows some options to explore, group combinations and build synchronization that hasn’t been done yet. So I think the meta can still shake up a little and change, but the fundamentals are already in place.
To answer your question, it is hard to say. If I could give League of Legends as an example, the addition of the Asian gaming crowd did stirr up the meta a little. It weren’t big gamebreaking changes, just little tweaks they made. It was pretty ingenius actually, as they found a few small counters to the well established EU meta. Now things balanced out again and the meta is firmly in place.
But to mirror this to GW2, yes I am curious to how the addition of the Asian crowd will change the teamcomps of sPvP and GvG/raid compositions. I do not expect the meta to change much, I just want to see what the little tweaks are going to be.
In short: yes in a parallel universe, the WvW meta would have been really close to what we have now. With a few small differences here and there.
Condi was scissors, Warrior was rock.
Except now, scissors became bigger and stronger and the rock softer and easier to pulverize. A decent necro can still kill a hambow warrior. Definitely when he is somewhat tanky as the warrior will lack damage to kill him :/.
But ye, @OP go complain about condi engis. That seems to be the new trend, this thread would be funny few months ago, but not anymore.
Guardian is the most balanced class, it shines in PvE as full zerker damage dealers with good survivability. It shines in WvW as support/ backbone of the melee train. They shine as roamers as zerker meditation specs. They shine in sPvP as bunkers.
Name me 1 aspect of the game in which guardians aren’t good at? And don’t say as a condition class, even they work for roaming to a certain extent as burning does deal a lot of damage.
It is just as simple as that, guardian has multiple options and performing well.
And don’t discard your 3K health trait too soon, it opens up quite a few new builds that show a lot of potential. First try things out before complaining.
ps.: new traits suck for warrior too and before you complain I am a warrior, I have a guardian aswel which I played in all game modes.
this nerf has really just taken away my desire to play the game. i started out as a thief hwen the game first came out and bailed to a necro a few months ago. i played condi at first and then found power to be incredibly rewarding. now, it’s not even worth it. i lost over 40% crit damage. to make matters worse i can’t fall back on conditions because of the dhuumfire nerf yet engis are allowed to keep incendiary power which is the same thing and in a lower tier. makes no sense. so, yeah. re-roll a condition class that isn’t a necro or quit. i think i know my choice.
A necro complaining? Hahahaha, dude necros are one of the strongest picks at the moment (in WvW atleast). They literally rip people apart. How can the king of condis not be a good pick for playing condis?

Everyone lost a good chunk of crit damage, so we are all in the same boat. You guys actually got an overall DPS boost with the new grandmaster.
Euhm…all the new grandmaster traits for warrior are complete kitten. I have almost 3000 skillpoints on my warrior and don’t even bother unlocking a single one of them.
But ye people are indeed exaggerating, full zerker is losing 10% damage and the min-max build lost 20% damage. And before a warrior comes here complaining it was more, these are numbers tested before and after against mobs on average.
Anyway, adding some sigils can completely neglect the damage loss. I just roamed around in WvW and didn’t feel THAT much of a difference. Haven’t found skilled oppenents yet to push me to the limits. But I think I can live with the changes.
ps.: not going to lie tho, I am going to experimentate with some condi builds.
Full zerker lost 10% and not more.
Min-max build lost 20% and not more.
These are numbers gained from multiple live damage test against mobs and an average calculated out of it. And the sigil change can make the damage loss from a full zerker almost insignificant. Just the min maxers kinda got hit hard.

It all got added at once, so no it doesn’t increase when loggin on alts.
I lost 20% damage on average on my power warrior.
As predicted the semi tanky builds (profiting from zerker trinkets) got hit the hardest. Did a lot of damage tests and yes, semi tanky builds not really worth it anymore.
Go full zerker or condi is my advice. As those got hit the least.
I play both guardian and warrior in both zerging as roaming. And I have multiple builds for both, ranging from zerker to full on tank. And I can say without a doubt in my mind that guardian is more tanky than a warrior in both zerging as roaming. Way easier to survive on a guardian than a warrior.
There is a big health difference, but healthpool only brings you so far, if you can’t heal it back up than it is useless. And guardians still heal way better than a warrior.
There is a new grandmaster trait coming for guardian that gives you 3k bonus health, you have to give up some healing for it, but that seems fair to me. Buffing their base health to 12k would be for me the maximum as guardian already is such a powerful class.
Yup, issue is back. Played for 5 hours flawless. Shame it stopped working, had nice fights going in EB and everyone knows the queue times.
Oookay, so :
1) I contradicted this guy because he said you could faceroll with mesmer, which is a joke
2) Warriors are amazing these days, even against good players
3) Elementalists are decent (teribad if focused) in small fights, and teribad at team fights. You don’t get why people complain about ele because you don’t play sPvP.
4) Necros power build are strong, aye. Their condi build is getting nerfed though. With rune of balthazar it might turn out to be okay but they won’t be even better (except WvW where necro with rune of perplexity will be a thing).
5) Power rangers suck.
Mesmer sucks in sPvP, grant you that. They are beasts in WvW tho. Definitely the hybrid ones. PU is irritating aswel, they might not kill you but you wont kill them either.
I don’t know what you consider good, but there is quite a long list of counters to warriors these days and I don’t recall losing to a warrior recently. Dodge their abilities and they can’t place their damage.
I indeed don’t play sPvP, I did do a few tournements with my guild. But I hate the lack of build diversity and when you find me in sPvP it is for duels. Elementalist is strong in WvW for their great support (waterfields) and aoe pressure (meteorshower). They are really strong in 1vs1s but I only know 2 elementalists who can win most fights. A small roaming group of elementalists can take down way bigger groups in WvW aswel. But ye, they underperform somewhat in sPvP.
Condi necro is getting nerfed (deserved) and they’ll still be strong in PvP, but in WvW with the +40% condi food they will be OP. I think they are pretty fine in PvP actually.

These days warriors are op as hell, thieves are still very strong, condi necro and spirit rangers are strong as well.
Rest is pretty much average, and eles are teribad.

Ye warriors dominate new players and people that aren’t that good. But if you plan on becoming a strong player able to dodge the skills you need to dodge and read skill animations, than the game is decently balanced.
If we speak in 1v1, thief and mesmer are the absolute kings. If they are played skillfully than the other classes can’t beat them.
Warriors are double faced, they are amazing against unskilled players that fail to dodge your skills and new players. But if you fight top players, you wont be able to land your damage and lose the fight.
Engi and ele are insanely strong in small fights aswel. A good engi is really hard to catch and kill and he can dumb a lot of condi pressure on you. And if a person masters the elementalist, he’ll dominate a lot of fights aswel. I don’t really get why people complain about ele. They are a strong pick, just enourmously hard to play successfully.
Guardian is one of the most solid pick atm in my opinion. Both great for zerging/PvE and roaming. A zerker roaming guardian literally blows people up. And careful use of blinds and blocks makes him stay alive forever. A great warrior counter aswel.
Necros have strong power builds, but their condi builds are going to be broken OP after the patch. Perplexity condi necros will be the strongest thing for roaming soon.
Last class is the ranger, most likely the hardest class to play as seeing strong ranger players is the rarest thing in game. Bad rangers get killed in seconds by pretty much every class. But those rare good ones are really strong roamers who can stand their own in pretty much every fight.
That is how I see it atleast.
I live in Belgium aswel, also telenet. I had this error code too. I started up my VPN and closed again and it was fixed.
I think it has something to do with the telenet servers so don’t think Anet can do much about it. I have no idea why resetting my server path with a VPN helped tho.

Ye I know an ele and he rarely loses a best of 3. He plays d/d and he definitely doesn’t lose a best of 3 against a warrior. It is a combination of being a skilled player and using the class at max efficiency.
Got to say condi warrior is OP, burn + torment is just too much dmg. But that is because of how OP condition damage is. It ain’t as bad in spvp as it is in WvW. In WvW conditions are 100% out of control :/.
You will lose 100% of the 1v1s to any good player using the following professions:
Condition engineer
Mesmer (any build except PU)
Thief (any build)
Guardian (DPS oriented meditation build with ANY weapon they want)
Condition NecrosMost of those arent hardcounters tho. From my experience while playing at the top of the eu leaderboards (and duels vs some of the best players in the game):
Condition engineer is a 50/50 fight. The outcome depends on who hits their crucial abbilities first. If you hit your pindown early and force his heal/condicleanse, youre in a good spot to win.
Mesmers are hard if they have the time and arent forced to stay on capturepoints. Which doenst mean you cant win. Mesmers dont have amazing condicleanses so keeping them condied up and hitting your pindowns consistantly will force them to run in a lot of situations. You have to press him hard tho to avoid that he resets over and over.
Thieves are only difficult when they play DP really well imo (and only very few thieves can). If they burst and reset a few times to force your def cd and burst your down before they are back up again. I dont struggle with any of the other thief specs to be honest. As long as i spread my CDs / dont pop all stances at the same time im fine.
DPS guards are imo the closest to a hardcounter in 1v1s. But the specs that do counter you arent that great in rated games tbh so you will rarely encounter them. In fact dps guard isnt that great in general in rated games.
Condition necros are quite similar to condi engineers to be honest. If you hit your big stuff before he does there is a good chance that you win. Hammer warriors have a better shot at winning vs them due to the lockdown playstyle.
A condi engineer can be specced completely into countering warriors, no chance you’ll win then. Unless the engi makes a few brutal mistakes.
I know a few insanely skilled thiefs and yes, they will poop on warriors. Definitely if you use hammer as they evade or dodge every big hit of you and your pindown just gets cleaned off.
A warrior can completely shutdown a condi necro, but that will make you vulnerable to thiefs and you wont be able to anymore after the patch (lyssa runes nerf)
DPS guards do kill warriors yes, I had some very long and really close fights with a few, which I lost in the end. But they are rare and indeed, more form a problem in WvW.
Hybrid mesmer is way more dangerous in WvW than sPvP, shatter mesmer has nothing on a warrior. The hybrid one will poop on the warrior aswel in WvW.

2 builds, I admit with only a slightly different trait set up
PvP
1 build, hambow
(more viable but they are very simular to some wvw builds)
WvW
1 support build (shouts or banners)
4 power roamer builds which I use a lot with different trait set ups and weapons
1 condi roam build
2 strong duel builds (they are niche, have to admit as roaming ain’t good on them)
And those are only the ones I know off and use on regular basis. There really are multiple choices available depending on the situation. But I think we definitely have a good build variety. Someone asked me few weeks ago how I could play my warrior for 3500 hours straight and I told him it was because of the variety of builds and possibilities. You get bored with one, you switch to another.
and yet the big elephant in the room gets largely ignored , of course im talking about condition removal and stability . and i hear more and more often about how op or bad for the meta is with conditions being so " bad ". funny how most of the complaints come from people who dont even realize they have more ways to remove conditions then they do to apply them .

In zergs there is more condi removal than application yes, that is because most condition removals work in aoe (conditions get removed from 6 people). But when you run in a group around 4 people or less, conditions get applied way way way faster than you can remove. And most people that are complaining are roamers. If you roam you HAVE to go condition spec because that just kitten s people.

With the influx of people you got and the night coverage you can easily win bottem tier of gold.
Engi can spec into countering a warrior, no chance of winning from those than.
Thief should always win from a melee warrior (if they are good).
Mesmer will mostly win.
If you forgot to bring sufficient condi clearing or not using lyssa runes, a proper condi necro will most likely poop on you aswel. But you can shut a proper condi necro down 100% aswel, all depending on builds.
Rest is mostly a win if you play good. So I would rate the warrior Good for dueling. Solid choice with multiple builds available to counter certain metas.
No, I have to dissagree on this one. I know plenty of very viable and strong builds. Maybe for sPvP, hambow is still the strongest. But that ain’t by much.
If we look at WvW, there are a big magnitude of builds available, all requiring different playstyles and they work. I actually think warrior is one of the classes with a good build diversity. Ye, some skills like endure pain are almost in every build. But that doesn’t make them the same.
In WvW you can get a full dire engineer with 3.2k condition damage and 50% condi duration (from food alone), burn will tick for 1.2k/s, poison for 400/s.
I roamed with it and mostly things die when you drop the supply crate, play very passively and defensively and nothing kills you. You can build completely around that you have a low crit chance. And you are tanky as kitten.
I play a full rabid engi aswel with PU and interrupts, don’t think you can lose a 1vs1 with that. Got to admit it ain’t that easy to play but those condi bursts are insane.

Conditions do way to many things, debuffing every single stat/thing possible and dealing way to much damage/s. It’s to easy to kite with them and just to easy to apply. I mean stacking 10stacks of bleed (ain’t hard) + poison + burn + torment = 3.8k dmg/s. And then I am not even counting confussion in. Apply and play defensively, while the power build has to go defensively aswel to remove them, dealing no damage in the process. Not to mention that most condition dealing skills deal regular damage aswel, not much but it counts up.
I roam 70%-80% of my time in WvW and play 15 hours/day, and I am forced to spec really heavy into condition removal just do stand a chance against condition classes. This cuts my damage by a lot. Mostly I still win because they play bad, but sometimes you meet that skilled necro and you just don’t stand a single chance, doesn’t matter how well you play.
The only thing I have seen in this thread is people trying to compare rabid with dire and PVT? I mean seriously? That ain’t even the problem, didn’t anyone read my post? Yes rabid is most likely superior to dire, but some builds get way to many benefits from dire. And PVT ain’t even close in comparrison to these 2. Full PVT with melandru will hit around 800 and 1.2k with his strongest attacks against a full dire. And that full dire guy will melt him, just use the +40% condi duration food and some in your traits and GG.
Now focus again on the problems, how to counter low telegraphed condition spam skills, working from range, the cheer amount of conditions out there, immob chaining, the fact conditions 100% debuff power builds into oblivion. How to fix them in large fights and how to fix them in small fights.
Conditions are broken, no way to deny it.
