Ok thank you for the answer, I already knew about how it should work, yet it doesn’t. I would assume that they could easily fix this problem but they aren’t.
Even if they were to like it how it is atm. why not just change the destription to "You are immune to all conditions for 8 seconds. " ? Makes no sense.
As for the enginners goes, yes I know how you can put conditions on them and when they fall below 25% hp they don’t get cleansed, but in spvp it isn’t that likely that you are going to be able to put alot of conditions on an engy before he hits 25%, I know it is possible cause I have done it but still pretty hard.And as far as I am concerned people in WvW shouldn’t even care about such things, cause there are no 1v1 or 2v1 fights. Spvp is a totally different category then WvW, and a bug like this makes quite alot of hmm… how should I say unbalanced things?
And one more thing, I am kinda surprised that you would just assume that I don’t know how to play vs them, cause I never hinted that I have a problem playing against this bug, I am just annoyed alot because there is no discussion about it, and I just wanted to make a topic so that someone would actually see this, and found out that IT IS a bug.

You can even outheal him with like 10-20health/s more if you go full ascended + healing infusions.

Hmm, speccing for max condi duration + 50% bleed duration and if I was allowed to use just the fire field of the longbow, nothing more, you could actually kill people like this.

I love how all these people keep saying how they could kill someone that they haven’t even fought yet. People really love to talk crap they can’t back up. The people who have actually faced this person haven’t been able to kill them yet, so what makes you think you can?
Playing 2000 hours+ on my warrior roaming and raiding in WvW. I got a pretty good idea of who I can and cannot kill. I got atleast 4 armor sets in which I can kill him. With 1 of them will take some time tho.
And yea, I even got his build. So I know the limitations of it, it ain’t even hard after that guessing if you can kill him or not. + challange still stands, transfer and I’ll kill you. I never say no to a challange and often duel aswel.

In my guild.
Build one correctly and they are a pain to kill while loading you with conditions. And don’t forget the “depending on skill level”.
And for the guardian, didn’t say they are the fastest, but they are still pretty mobile with the ports.
For elementalist, I do support buffs for them. Certain ranger aspects should be buffed aswel. And group support from mesmers should be buffed.
ps.: for the guy that wanted to know, I got 5 lvl 80s, still missing: ranger/mesmer/ele.

I recreated the build from the video (had a spare 100g), I must have been really really close. Because my health and regen ticks were pretty much the same. I had 2k+ healing power. Which is pretty much the highest you can go in this game as far as I know off.
I was indeed not killable for bad players. But 4 players easily downed me. What you are saying is making my Bullkitten sensors go berserk. The only thing I found off in the videos is a racist redneck talking about imaginary chinese people thinking he was the best player in the world.
And yes, I would like to duel that guy anyday and kill him before your own eyes. I don’t even need help.

Thief is king mobility and deserved.
Warrior comes second if he builds for it.
Proper Ele player and ranger can keep up with warriors.
Roaming guardian is very mobile aswel.
So that leaves us with engineer, necro and mesmer.
-Engineer: can kite you for days, all the damage you put on him he’ll outheal. Give them more mobility and they’ll be OP.

-Mesmer: so many invulv, evades, stealth, clones and blinks. They are mobile as well, very mobile even. Just not in a straight line, only in fights.
So as far as I can see, the classes that ain’t mobile have their own strong assets. Not every class is the same, that is why there are different classes to play. Another thing, mesmer, engineer and necro all have pulls. This counters mobility a bit.
I find the whole zerker build insults to be really funny. While I appreciate the value of a defensive build in an environment where your skills are lagged and thus unreliable, outside of that situation they are nothing but a crutch for people incapable of proper positioning, incapable of creating an appropriate build, and entirely incapable of group synergy.
Use the gear that best fits your role in a group to maximize your effectiveness while making sure you can live through a fight. That might be PVT, it might be zerker, it might be something in between or entirely different. Do not listen to the sheep.
Thing is that very rarely is there a situation where a good opponent doesn´t punish you going too squishy.
Yup, everytime I notice someone I am fighting is squishy, I am already excited about the bag that soon will follow.
+ the rally system forces you to go tanky, each man dead can mean 15 man back up. The one that wins the fight is the one that doesn’t go down. Your group is only as strong as your weakest player.
So yes, I continue to laught at zerker builds. Definitely in keep fights or with choke points. They do work in GvG, but they are getting countered hard by thiefs running around.
Guilds will be like, don’t bomb to hard! We all want to tag em and they die so freaking fast.

1. In the video you were attacking with 2, 1 of them was an autoattacking ranger. Those don’t even count. So you were the only damage dealer.
2. You can see that 1 player already brought the health down for a quit a bit. A bit clever play and you would have been able to kill him.
3. This player would NOT deal any damage back to you, full bunker guards can do this too and even better.
4. The numbers you give are far far off.
5. Me and an other person out of my guild would kill him in 2min or less. hint poinson

7. There ain’t such rune combo that gives you tons of regen, just the regular regen and that stacks in duration, not intensity.

It lowers the condition duration by 100%, meaning if you have 0% condi duration you wont be able to deal damage to him (immune). But if you have +40-50% condi duration, your conditions will still tick for that 40% of the time. This last part ain’t happening at the moment and is bugged.
I am sure the Devs are aware of it, why it hasn’t been changed yet? Maybe they like it this way and concider this bug as proper working, because they like how it works now? I have no idea.
As for the engineer, I don’t think it is overpowered. The condition meta is so so strong atm. I got a condi warrior and could burst 15k condi damage in 3s and after that still like 3k/s. This is in WvW ofcourse, but still condis rule the seen and are more powerfull than power builds for now. Conditions stick on you and deal damage over time. So when you drop and engineer to 25% you just can’t put extra conditions on him, but the ones already on him will still tick. It would be much stronger if it cleared all conditions off him aswel. And the duration ain’t that long either. No, i don’t think it is even close to OP.
These are just counters to your build, learn to deal with it.

Most of the information on that page is speculation, e.g. some players have run tests and couldn’t validate that players with more armor/Toughness generate more threat.
I can validate it, I am not sure it works on ALL mobs. But it definitely applies to the ones in WvW. We tested it by making 2 warriors, both with shield. 1 had greatsword equiped and other had shield. The supervisor ran to the one with the shield, as soon as we weapon swapped so the other one had the shield, the supervisor made a 180° turn and ran to him instead. Shield and higher armor does give more aggro, the radius is +-800 units if I had a guess.
But the builds listed here deal no damage at all. And they will support the team, but they could be made far more efficient in supporting. I don’t run dungeons, so I don’t know if people require support there. I did arah recently with 3 zerker warriors and a mesmer tho. This is about the hardest dungeon as far as I understand and we didn’t need support. We were all full zerker and didn’t die, so don’t think there is need for support. Might be good to carry bad teams in CoF maybe?

What are people complaining? Warrior actually didn’t get buffed this patch, play/understand the class before spitting such bullkitten on these forums. I’ll break the patch down for you.
What we gained?
-Staggering blow can be used while moving (buff to hammer)
-Vigorous Shouts got buffed with 25% (resulting in a 500-750 extra health/20s depending on your build)
-Trait for shorter CD on shouts is now an adept trait.
What we lost?
-2 conditions get cleared LESS with the warhorn (painful bug fix)
-Empower allies (150+ power) got moved to master
-Sigil of paralization doesn’t round up any more (nerf to hammer)
So if we look at the entire picture, we see we’ll heal a little more but lose 2 very important condition removals, I’ll take those any day over a small heal buff. The mace build got nerfed, but is still viable. The hammer got nerfed and buffed, depending on your build and playstyle it is now stronger/weaker. So we could say it stayed the same. That we now can take the CD reduction for shouts as for the warhorn together is nice, but losing empower allies will hurt many burst builds. The support builds got buffed here and the burst/roamers nerfed.
So overal, the warrior gained some and lost some. I like the changes, and do think Anet did a good job on those. Finally they seem to begin to understand their own game. Only thing I would like to see is that the healing signet ticks every 3s instead of 1s. The total health gained over 21s still has to be the same (+-8300). But this would make it easier to deal with it and to finish off a warrior.
People complaining about the mobility don’t get what a warrior is all about…mobility. We need armor and health, because we need to take all the damage on us, we don’t have protection to mitigate 33% of the damage straight away or a few aegis. We don’t have insane heals to keep standing. We don’t have invisibility to heal up again. So our mechanism is mobility. If we go in, we tank ALL the damage. And armor really doesn’t scale well compared to the amount of damage in this game, definitely condition damage.
A few small fixes and the warrior is in the perfect spot, so stop complaining. A well played thief or mesmer still kills ANY warrior build currently out there. We are not the gods of 1vs1, we are just good noob stompers.

So I think better masteries would be more like
-Cap a supply camp faster when max 5 are in the circle
-Get a speed boost when being close to a dolyak
-First attack against dolyak/guards deals bonus damage
-Get a movement speed bonus while running in group (max5) in the ruins

Sword is fine, trait is just bugged, they forgot the cooldown on it. And it only is 1s, 0.5 with some -condition duration.
I got rooted for 40s yesterday and my condi clearing was on cooldown. Yup, I died. Think they should bring down the stacking ability from 5 to 3.
The bigger buff for zergs is the shout heal buff for warriors.
Hahahah…no. It ain’t that big of a change, we remove 2 conditions less and heal you for +-500 more/20s. So you can more see it as a trade off. Not a buff towards zergs.

It took me close to 4 hours the first time we got this one. I play a lot of defense and scouting, and zerging WvW is the only way to rewards.
Anet simply has no idea how to reward anything except the zerg.
Not true, a 5 man roaming group gains Wexp faster than a zerg. You just need to know the quickest Wexp farm paths. And borderlands > eb for Wexp farm. Only time I gain more by zerging is when we keep flipping SM when we have a mesmer in, that is all.
Maybe a 5 man group can out WXP a zerg running around like a headless chicken, but no way can they out-wxp a zerg that’s got half a brain. If they get in ONE zerg fight and kill 40+ people that’s a ton of WxP.
When Deso has paintrain events we always try and beat our “Roundhouse kick” wherein we flip everything on the borderland, 1 by 1 till everything is ours. Our last record was 20 minutes 22 seconds. Last time i ran a 24 hour Paintrain i got 100 + WvW ranks and that was with getting into 2 1/2 hour keep fights etc, i’d love to see people get 100+ ranks as a 5 man group and not die due to boredom :P
100+ ranks? Let me do some math for you. 100ranks*5000wexp = 500000, let’s say we cap SM because it awards the most exp. So that gives us 500 SM caps within 24hours. So you have to be capping SM 21 times/hour, considering the buffed lord, you can’t….
Busting zergs has deminishing returns, so please tell me how you magicly got all that Wexp?
Capping an entire borderland + killing a few zergs is 2-3 ranks max. Enemy has to recap things, you already got your own border. So no, you didn’t do it like this either. What you are saying ain’t even plausible.

You are not a regular to WvW? Do another daily.
You think I go out of WvW to go and do fractals for daily? No because I think that takes ages and is boring. I can get 2 ranks faster than do a fractal run.
Stop complaining PvEers. 2 is fine and not hard to get. You think it is? Go do other achievements. If you play an entire day, you gain around 15-20 ranks. Might even be more if you are lucky with the Wexp drops.
Mesmer should yea
I fought a really skilled spirit/trap ranger. It was a very long fight and I only barely won, but could have gone either way.
Don’t know his build, but know that it can be done. 99.9% of the rangers in WvW seem to have some sort of braindamage and are just lootbags with legs tho. It is so bad that rangers are the laughing stock in my guild (we only have 2 in our guild :p). On 65k WvW kills I met 1 good ranger and that was that spirit one. The rest pretty much got blown up in 5s.
Yup bladetrail is bugged, I did 5! hits with it on a running target. It was almost a max range one, going a bit past him and back. Combine that with running away and that might explain why it hit 5 times.

Well of course it is going to grow when it is in its baby phase. How long it takes to reach the peak of the mountain before crossing down the other side is something that remains to be seen. Hopefully not for a long time but who knows.
I understand your negativism, but it ain’t hard to spot in your posts that you are a rookie to GvGs. And you don’t seem to be completely up to date to how the ‘big GvG’ guilds work.
You said there are no players doing specific roles, like taking down certain targets, adding real value and importance to the game. You missed the ball completely there, I don’t know which GvGs you witnessed. But there are players on the field who do exactly this. The so called destroyers are designed to kill certain enemy classes as fast as possible. Typicly necros and eles get focussed. Nothing beats the feeling as a destroyer that you know the enemy only has warriors and guardians left on the field and that you killed all their damage. What follows is a wipe up. GvG is much much much more complex than most people realize and yes it is still in its baby years. So much potential and options to it, we have only seen the tip of the iceberg.
Second, the adding of this arena is the best thing that has happened for GvG since release. GvG got frowned upon and almost hated, but still it grew. Everything was working against it and still it grew. Finally we getting a push in our back forward and you are predicting its death? You don’t think their ain’t a big influx of new players? I am predicting more guilds than ever will actively participate in GvGs on regular basis. New guilds will start aswel, GvG ain’t a big scary thing. You can do friendly scrims against top guilds and ask for feedback before you go ‘official’. We are a very strong community eager to help each other.
And you think we give a crapper about ascended trinkets? Yes I admit that full ascended (including weapon+armor) might make a difference. But as you said, we have to change armor so often that most of us will stick with exotic. And it wont be gamebreaking. I got 8 armor sets and 20 weapons and 15 ascended trinkets on my warrior. It takes me 1 day to buy a new gear set, and ascended weapons ain’t that expensive, hoping the armor will be pretty cheap aswel. But yea, I switch often and I am a min/maxer.
And to answer your final question, predicting a games ‘peak’ has proven impossible on many occasions. Look at how popular counter strike still is. It is stupid and plain pessimistic to predict a games death. An other example is Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, the death has been predicted for years now, but it has a steady, slightly growing playerbase. GvG will grow a lot and might still be played in 8 years. Nobody could predict that. But I know that this is a great solution for the coming months/year. A GvG mode will come, just not now.
You my friend should look more at the bright side of life and as a GvGer, we are happy with anything we can get after being denied existance for 1 year.
Bladetrail is bugged and hits 3 times sometimes. It should only hit 2 times, whirlwind 2 hits are normal and 100b is hitting you real hard, you upscaled or something?

I have counted (1by1) a few zergs reaching up to 95 players in size. Take a few afkers and roamers and you’ll atleast have 100+.
Warrior heavy armor, such good defense, nerf pl0x!
Armor mitigates so little damage it is next to useless. Difference between heavy and light ain’t that big. Protection is still way better than any armor. And guess what warriors don’t have protection.
Warriors always been a class designed around move in and out quickly while delivering burst. Why they got health pool + armor? Because they do the same as a thief, except they don’t have so many ports or stealth to mitigate damage with. They must all absorb it.
Mobility/armor/health is nothing wrong with the warrior. Good thief or mesmer still kills a warrior in 1on1. Especially the bad ones running around these days.
Healing signet is strong, a solution could be that it ticks every 3seconds, so you get 1.2k health each 3 seconds back. Reducing the frequency makes it less hard to burst a warrior down.
But warriors are pretty balanced right now in WvW atleast.
Who needs nerfs?
-Necro, really really strong in zergs as in solo fights
Who needs buffs?
-Ele, got hit to hard and need a few tweaks/buffs
-Guardian, for their solo play. They are in a bad position in 1on1 fights. They either die or kill nothing
-Ranger, they have been bad since day one and are free lootbags whenever I see one.
-Engineer, need a buff for their group play.
-Mesmer in group play
Balanced classes?
-Engineer, really strong when well played. Only in small scale tho
-Warriors, in a good position for solo as group fights
-Guardians for group fights
-Mesmer for solo fights
-Thiefs for solo, small scale
That is a small overview over the balance in WvW at the moment
1 more thing, I see some people mentioning WP getting open for a few seconds every 3 min as a bug. It ain’t… It got mentioned few months ago that it is a game mechanic and was intentionnaly put into the game. This to promote the building of waypoints to help defend something.
And please, if there is no skill/ coordination involved in banner rezzing the lord. Than why ain’t everybody exploiting this? It has been in the game since the start and I have played 1000s of hours in WvW and never had a problem with it. It was well played by Gunnars.
I don’t know if corrupt boon goes through Berserker stance. But I believe it does, it will succesfully remove his stability and soften him up for heavy CC.
Another fix might be a range decrease of the banner, making it harder to hit the lord. But a guild group should be able to deal with it.
This is what we need 2 light tanks and a heavy tank, There is a helicopter too

Desolation is still king in bannering, don’t remember how many hours they kept the lord on his feet. Sure was impressive and they deserved the win for that feat.
I am a 100% warrior player and to be honest, I wouldn’t shed a tear if banner got removed from the game. I think it takes out some of the fun from GvGs. Just look at the banner spam at the end, I counted up to 9 banners on the field in just a 20vs20.

I want Epic battles, doesn’t even have to be 100vs100. Trebbing is boring, catas are boring and golems only walk funny, except that, they are boring. Using AC is boring, ballistas suck, canons get destroyed before you can use them same with the oil. Rams are OK, altho you can tank a zerg with that iron hide.
More siege means less combat and more looking at the same animation that will bore you. No, there should be reasons to make people come out of their keeps/towers to fight infront.
1. lure the lord to a more distant ‘hidden’ spot and leave few guarding it so nobody can manually rezz him.
2. spread out and block all players before they are even getting close to the lord.
3. strip their stability off and CC to death.
4. or if you can set up a far enough zone that they waisted all their CDs before they even get to the lord.
It’s funny how organized guilds don’t have that much trouble with this and pug zergs do. I do think banner rezz is annoying, but it is a genuine tactic and has counters. Both sides can use it and well done from the defenders.
So what does this mean? Without taking power into consideration, shout warriors benefit the least of the group healers from cleric gear. So unless you’re really lacking heals as a group, go sentinel.
No… it means if a fight lasts over 12 or 5 seconds take clerics because you have had more effective hp in the fight.

No, it works fine for me. Doing a weapons swap immediatly interrupts flurry, the immobilize stays and you still got around 4s left to do a full 100b.
It does take some practice and it does bugs sometimes. But not that often that it forms an issue for me.

- Increase the cooldown on Rush to 40 seconds, 20 if an enemy is hit. In line with the Elementalist RTL nerf as they are identical skills with different animations. Granted Rush isn’t quite as fast as RTL but I’m sure elementalists would rather have the 20 second CD and a slower skill.
- Remove 1 stun from Hammer. The 3 current ones can be chained for a 6 second stun. I don’t even wanna go into Stun Duration sigils.
- Assuming full adrenaline, decrease the stun duration of Skull Crack to 2 seconds. In line with Earthshaker.Discuss!
-K, give us a flame leap, and a teleport. Also, make it so that Rush is immune of cripple, chill, immobilization and then increase the speed by 100%. Also, give us 15 more skills so that we can keep in line with Elementalist.

-That is just plain stupid. Skull Crack is 3 seconds because it lacks AoE the and leap that hammers have. If Skull crack is to be nerfed to 2 seconds, then skull crack will never to be a ranged stun.now iv’e seen it all, people who still think ele’s are any good.

rush cures all movement conditions RTL does not, not to mention try and RTLing while immobilized? you’ll be stuck in place with a 40 sec kitten you.

the mace is a problem but there is no actual way to fix it and not make it useless, besides perplexity builds.
You are imagining the warrior with 100s of weapons between which he can swap freely. And rush doesn’t cure any conditions at all, except immobilize if you trait for it (20 deep). Movement speed debuff and chill still apply and puppy rush completely up.
