If they are clueless, they will not know about the title. If they are semi-clueless, they will see the warning before they post. If they are not clueless, they will report the gold sellers (just as many of us have), and now be rewarded for their diligence. Fact is, after all this time, I think many people just block and don’t report.
^^; Actually I usually report first, then check the user ID. If it’s something like jlnbsjlkdenbkesagbnkjl or bjhkgsgbnjlkse or even ignosbnls then I block, if it looks like a compromised account I block it, and add a note to remove it from block in a few days.

But how would they track this? What about false reports? What about reports on the same gold seller multiple times? Ontop of that, If you got a title because a certain number of gold sellers received a ban, wouldn’t that be against A-nets normal terms of NOT informing you on the result of your reports?
It’s great to report/block them, but I think doing the right thing for the sake of doing the right thing is the best reward here. (though giving us a bit of karma would be kinda funny)

AR acts like a barrier between high level fractals and complete noobs….. it shows at least which player is not ready for the content, so when you wipe you know whos the problem.. You dont wanna end up in the same fractal 50 party with a guy who just hit 80 with 700 AP do you?
The AR barrier has literally nothing to with AP. A player could hit 80 with 700 AP, and earn 80+ AR. I wouldn’t mind someone with low AP in a 50 Fotm, I wouldn’t want someone below the AR check though.
Adding someone to try to speak to them when/if they log on does not mean they are stalking.
Adding someone to your friends list and asking them once if they would let you have/buy the name is not harassment. If you continue to pursue the person after being told no, and asked to stop then there would be cause for reporting. But reporting someone for adding you to their friends list, what exactly do you file that report under?

The thing I don’t understand. These names even if freed would only be available for 1 person… Thus solving VERY FEW peoples issue with getting them.
If you have more AR it doesn’t give you extra HP, or armor, or damage or endurance, it literally IS a blatant gear check!
If it’s a blatant gear check, it gives you something… So you can’t really say it gives you nothing.
It’s not hard to get 40+ AR so you would be good to mid 30s, 55 isn’t far from that push by any means and you would be set up to 49.
Besides it’s not like most players are missing out on alot at higher scale fotm. I will admit some of the mistlocks are pretty cool/fun to play with, but other then that, it’s still the same game, still the same gameplay, still the same fractals, and unfortunately still the same RNG rewards:/

Sylvari don’t have surnames.. Getting a lore correct name (something Gaelic or Celtic) is really hard for them.
For Norn, Charr or Human it’s much easier.
Hmm ok, well could you maybe list some examples? And lets be honest… Even if this were to happen (which it shouldn’t) how many people would get “lore” names? How many people here are hoping for “lore” based names vs the list of common names that are taken?
Many one word, 3-8 character names are still available, like I said I just made my new mesmer “Kindzi” last night.
Consider your words marked, now do what EVERY other player does; make a character with a name that’s not already taken and enjoy playing.
Like I said earlier, I made a sylvari with a 6 letter name, no accents, no special characters LAST NIGHT. I see no problem.
If you got the name, it’s yours. If you didn’t I suggest you move on and come up with a new name.
You are certainly NOT entitled to take it from another player for any reason.

3-19 characters, you can add spaces, and accented letters… We don’t really need to see “Lord I Have a Long Name Because I Want To See If Anyone Will Type it Out”
Nobody should take another players name period. Regaurdless of how often they log in.
Why should I have to even be concerned about someone TAKING my name from me? No matter how original or not, I got the name to use for my character. If you want a name for your character I suggest you log in and get it when/if it’s available.
Got a name you like, sit on it. There is nothing wrong with that. What’s wrong is the idea that you can take a name from someone else just because they are taking a break.

Good luck joining a meta group on your condi mes or condi necro, see how fast you get kicked, unless you personally know them in which case you’ll bog them down a little as they perform a “sympathy carry” for you.
Or maybe they are your friends… And you know… They don’t care about speed or playing the “meta” and just want to have fun. xD
While I agree with the OP condis could still use a little help in PvE when compared to Zerker, the gap has been closed at least a bit. My only major concern with increasing the speed of condis remains: damage over time =/= Burst. conditions are damage over time effects and debuffs. If they preformed on par (same damage speed) with zerker burst damage, things would get crazy very fast.
Fractal levels, and AR is so much easier to raise now then it was on release. Remember not being able to bring someone with a lower scale into a higher fractal? Or how rare rings/globs were?
A quick check for moving gear:
Ring + 10 AR
Ring + 10 AR
Back + 10 AR
Neck + 5 AR
Earring + 5 AR
Earring + 5 AR
That’s 45 AR from jewelry alone. Put 2 +5s in your weapons… 55AR You’re good to go all the way up to 49… I see little to no problem with cultural skins and armor weights for at least this much AR.
Toxicity only uses 3-6 letter names that are not accented.
Perhaps Toxicity should be less picky and try a 7 letter name..?
I just made a new sylvari mesmer named “Kindzi” 6 letters in the exact order I wanted, no special characters. So even 6 letter names with no special characters are still available ^^;. But yes I agree Toxicity might want to expand to a 7 letter names, it would open up the range of choices dramatically.
Death also happens, and it makes no sense to let 1,000 dead people sit on 8,000 names. (or more)
Even if you took a break nothing is stopping you from logging in once, at all.
So someone passes away and your biggest concern is taking their in game name, that’s real nice :/

2 years without logging in at all and then after a 1 month notice that you need to log in, and then still not logging in, is not a “break”.
You would have no excuse in that scenario and I’m not even sure why/how you think you can defend that. Everyone in my skype room agrees with me.
Just because some entitled uncreative person wants my name, is absolutely NO reason that I should HAVE to log in to keep it. If I take a 2.5 year break and come back, that’s my business. I don’t need a “excuse” life happens, deal with it.
I’m 100% against this, there is no reason to wipe names from users who are in good standing. People take breaks and come back, they should have their names still there when they return. Why should you be entitled to TAKE a name away from a player just because they haven’t logged in?
The most interesting part about this… Lets say A-net did wipe some of them, do you think you would get the name first? What if someone else got it… You’re right back were you started. The only difference is: a player that got the name in the first place had it taken form them (which is just plain wrong).
As far as the whole name sale thing, I agree with Ashen. A character name could be worth quite a bit more then what you are talking about being offered. ^^; Maybe multiple legendary weapons and we might be able to have a talk xD

The best thing to do would be make a each profession and try them in the mist.

Each account will have a limit on how much gold can be moved from its mail in-box and Guild Vault into its wallet each week.
If you receive more gold through in-game mail than you can accept in a week, the gold will remain attached to the mail in your in-box and can be retrieved up to the limit the following week or in subsequent weeks.
For the purposes of this limit, a week begins at 12:01 AM UTC each Sunday (5:01 PM PDT/4:01 PM PST Saturday).
Gold received from the Trading Post is not subject to this limit.
The maximum amount of gold that can be sent via a single in-game mail will be 500 gold.
The maximum total amount of gold that an individual player account can accept in a week will be 500 gold.
We will monitor this system and may make changes to the limits if we find that changes are necessary.
I mean you can only mail 500g a week right now… So that will take you 3 weeks to mail. There is a hard cap on the amount of gold you can mail/move through guild banks.
You can’t send more then 500g a week now, so you probably won’t have an issue.
Befor it might have flaged your account to be watched, but unless it was a constant thing I don’t think you would get a ban over it.

I don’t see how the system doesn’t allow experimentation, yes to get an alternative set you have to earn it. If you really want to get at least a sample of how a stat preforms go to the mist or check one of the numerous build sites. (or just try out an exotic set befor going for the ascended stat).
Getting a bit off topic, but what other stats were you going for to reach your pre-spec balance? Just saying 300 healing in a power focused build gives ALOT of room for alternates, how much power, how much other stats etc.
My question about your TL:DR is, how would you hand out alternate gear sets if not how it is done? Why should it be easier to acquire alternate/diverse sets vs your main set?
Just out of curiosity, the main or initial point of concern was about the ascended stats locked behind cheevos not being sold by the vendor for the same price as older stat layouts… But don’t the cheevos that unlock the sinister jewelry also give you that piece of jewelry?
Well there’s not a-lot more to be said, you feel that all ascended jewelry/stat layouts should be available the same ways. I’m not against the idea of having everything attainable like that, I just don’t mind it being the way it currently is either.
As new things are added to the game it wouldn’t be a surprise to me if they could only be attained by doing new tasks and objectives as well.
My biggest complaint about ventari pieces is, many of us who completed all the LS parts as they came out, can’t buy the necklaces now because of bugs… That haven’t been addressed since.
I agree the mail spam detector can be a little aggressive (and by little I mean mass sillyness).
I love some of the suggested ideas, guild chain letters would just be fun! As far as a feature goes that would allow this, what about buying some weird item from the guild vendor that lets you click to open a message and send it to your guild if you have the permissions to do so? Set a LONG CD on use, and that would solve some issues.
I’d love to be able to do this, especially if we could get the hats/hoods to not cause dramatic hairloss.

Most sickles have 50 charges while axes and picks have 100.

But armor not being restricted by weight class is extremely unlikely to happen.
Umm I’m not trying to make it look that way, you are saying because you’ve done so much A you should get item B using what you earned allready… Even though item B is acquired a different method.
I’m simply saying different items in game are acquired by different means. They can’t all be earned or obtained by the same method. If you really want them, why not just play the game mode/style that they are earned from?
^^; it should reset it to “stat selectable” the catch is you can only do it once, so be super sure on what you pick!
Inconsistent depends on if you classify back items as armor or as jewelry.
I have a feeling A-net is lumping them in more with jewelry, they came out with rings, etc.
If it’s not infused you could switch the stats once by infusing it xD a little more costly then the current stat change via forge for armor and weapons, but it’s one option.
Over all, yes I agree it would be super nice to be able to change stats on them; but I’m reasonably sure they were omitted from stat changes on purpose.
It separates elements in a series, it does not necessarily indicate a completely separate point. (I only commented about that because you are bolding parts of what I say, then skipping ahead and bolding other parts.)

If you want the stat layout on a reward, just do what is required to earn it.

It’s not a vertical gear grind. Grinding gear for alternative stats, or graphic I have literally no problem with. The game has to have some time and effort required, if A-net just handed everything we wanted to us; when we wanted it; for what we wanted to do for it. The game would get very dull very quick.
For the part of my quote you bolded and underlined, the “I just don’t like…” is more directed at vertical progression style grinds, but picking out parts to put together gives it a different tone, which is not what was intended.

you missed my point about the new gear level… My problem would not be in how it was attained, my problem would be with a new gear level. I just don’t want it. I have little to no desire to see GW2 become a standard gear grind, verti progression mmo.
I was not a big fan of the addition of a new stat tear when it was announced. I had no issue with the acquisition of it, and I still don’t. I just don’t like the power creep, gear grind, verticle progression.
You spent hours playing a different game mode then how these items are earned. So if you want these items you need to play the game mode that is required, same as everyone else. I really don’t see a problem with that.
Wait so ascended gear of a certain type isn’t a specific reward? To me, the ascended gear acquired via these methods is a reward for doing the work to earn them.
If it’s just a new stat combo, nope no problem… It would bother me if it were a new gear level. I certainly wouldn’t expect A-net to make it easy to get just because it would be easy for ME to get.
Different items, different stats, different acquisition. Doesn’t so terribly off, and it’s not like they are extremely demanding to get (or in demand for that matter).

I disagree.
I play : PvE Drytop/ SilverWaste/ dungeon/fractal/WvW.
I have level 50 fractal.
Completed all dungeon path & skin collection.
All of Silverwaste achievment & collection.
Almost all drytop achievement (not doing that horrible weapon collection).
I sit on an enormous amount of pristine relic & co.
While I do want to try Verata/acquire multiple for different purpose (fractal/WvW) I can’t without being locked in a content & having my other play hour being disregarded.
I’m fine with locking some stats behind achievement but not proposing alternative price for them like for all regular ascended stats seems very wrong to me.
But what is easy for you, what you have already done, what you currently have, is where the issue lies. You are requesting a change be made so it is “easier” for you to get with what you have done. Many things are locked behind different tasks, different styles of play, and different game play modes. If you want the reward behind a certain gate, you go through that gate, same as everyone else.
No to both, only active weapon sigils work, duplicates do NOT stack.
Neat trick for things like this… In game type /wiki sigil of force.

As for the current changes… I’m not a big fan of the log in thing, every time I try it asks for my authenticator… I enter it and get “invalid entry” then just close the auth window and TA DA: It worked :/
I would still prefer to be able to buy them using the less costly money( from my point of view & gameplay habit).
While I do agree, it would nice to see the asc trinkets available via other methods (more acquisition methods the better), it would be even better to see A-net fix the bugs locking people out of some of the ascended jewelry. Making a change so it’s easier for you to afford due to your play style isn’t a solid argument for a change in the system. Branch out and play other aspects of the game.
