4) Meaning character deaths. In the personal story quests I felt like almost everyone of significance dies. Except treaharne and destinies edge.

Letting us show our current armor helm instead of the outfit helm or no helm would be part of the functionality ^^; And I bet it would sell a-lot of outfits

Cultural Outfits could also be a way to introduce a few CAPES into the game, since they can be withheld from those oh-so-hard to design for Charr characters. (Sorry, Charr).
But no race could pull off a “doggy bandana” as well!

Promo offers are usually 15-50% discounts at most, I can’t recall seeing a promo offer for a new item at 88% off ever. The biggest issue I see would be outfit sales taking a huge hit, having the option to customize the look would more then make up for the trans charges lost. I would imagine the majority of people would buy the skin and skipping the outfit entirely.
Though those who want multiple looks may be more inclined to buy outfits, as you don’t have to pay each time you change them, and they are useable for literally EVERY character on your account from one purchase.
Hmm I think the Hexed outfit (mad king event one) was the only outfit unlocked by playing. So honestly I don’t really think it would effect much in terms of play unlocked outfits.
Such a high price? Outfits are currently priced at 700 Gems, armor skins are currently priced at 800 gems.
If you want the out fit version you would be paying the same as any current outfit. If you want the armor skin you would be paying the same as any current armor skin. 100 Gems more for both would be selling 1 for normal price and the other for 13% value of any current skin or outfit.
Would LOVE to see daily class winner changed to daily win, and maybe daily 3 wins…
That way pvp still keeps the same number of dailies, still based on winning, we just lose the being forced to play x class.

Possibly 100 gems more, maybe only 50 gems more if they added that functionality. It would only make sense, as you would be getting the skins and the outfit. Armor weight issues might still occur, but that’s something that would be a ‘wait and see’ thing if it was added.
So you would get the outfit + armor skins for 50-100 gems more? ^^; That probably wouldn’t be a very smart business move.
What I would support/could see happening is if something like that happened have an outfit version at it’s current 700gems and an armor skin version at the normal 800gems.
Outfits do have some perks over armor skins at the min: They can be changed on the fly, for free; no trans charges needed. So they would probably still be a viable sale.
But race specific version of an out fit, is a bit different than making 3 versions of the same outfit so all three weight classes could wear it. Currently it requires…
male + female human/char/asura/norn/sylvari for one outfit. Turning it into an armor skin set would require…
Light: male + female human/char/asura/norn/sylvari
Medium: male + female human/char/asura/norn/sylvari
Heavy: male + female human/char/asura/norn/sylvari
Some of the earliest outfits (pirate/basic town/winter/chef) were multiple parts that could be mix and matched to a minor extent. With the town clothes turned to tonics I’m not to hopeful of seeing armor skin outfits

Assuming you mean along the lines of letting you wear an outfit hide the helmet and show your armor helmet, that would be nice, but I’m prety sure it would have the issues with armor weights still.
I agree, outfits are far easier and having the option is nice. Perhaps they could make a change, something like outfits can be worn as is currently, or be used as individual skin pieces as well as being an outfit? Like, you buy the outfit but it unlocks the individual pieces as a skin?
That would require creating 4 individual sets… You would have the outfit,the light skins, the med skins, and they heavy skins… That’s significantly MORE work for each released outfit then just the outfit, or even just armor skins.
I would just say open all the armour skins to all the classes. If as a warrior I can run about in silk clothes from an outfit I should be able to wear light armour as a skin. Anet went past the feel of realism in that respect with outfits so just go ahead and make it official with all armours it would at least make it interesting.
Very hard to do, framework on each armor weight is different so clipping issues would be even worse then they are now…
I like both options, outfits are far easier for A-net to release though, only needing 1 for all three weights vs needing 1 for each.
Almost all of the things I find questionable could be summed up in one quick phrase..
NPE
Most new players that I have seen that want to pvp right off the bat just ask in map. It usually seems to work.
Like I said I’m in no way a fan of the NPE, but saying they literally Can’t pvp is untrue. Yes: it’s not clearly explained by the NPE or in game instructions how to (that could definitely be improved), but it can be done.
Not going to defend the NPE because I’ll be honest I hate it :/ I really feel like it added nothing good, and removed alot of the freedom and exploration of the game at early levels. The trait system… was great, it’s now terrible, Traits are unlocked WAY to late. Honestly the gold sink or do certain tasks I don’t mind as much, but the level gate on each trait tier is just silly.
The only thing I would question about what you said is the PVP thing, what do you mean a new player can’t pvp. Can you no longer enter the mist portal in LA to go to the mist early?

May be old news, but I was just messing around in the spvp lobby and noticed my combat log was actually showing me damage ticks for conditions! The conditions themselves were even color coded and mouse over able to see a description of the condition!

^^; I guess it’s to put people out of the fight faster then just 1 mashing them (Though for some classes it’s faster to just 1 mash). Other than that, isn’t summoning a rainbow unicorn or a dancing Llama reason enough to finish someone?

Yea it seems sometimes the chat in the pvp lobby is a bit harsh. Though some of it is just in fun (at least I think it was)
While I would love this idea, would sort of make the bank express items obsolete.
It would be really awesome for people with permanent contracts (minus the banker), keep your bl merchant, and perma hair kit in these slots, then just have access to them when/were ever you wanted without having to run to the bank.
However with shared bank access already there, I don’t see it happening any time soon xD
- First, improve AI in enemies. They should fix first the pathing logaritm that looks broken, but then should be easy enough. That could make the game more fun and stop the enemies with higher life/better armor race we are in as now.
Using the game the OP did as an example, does the league of legends AI for minions/creeps in the jungle change each game? Sorry I haven’t played league for a LONG time (Think diana release).
Heartpains: Adding something related to legendary weapons, or something exclusive for those that have them isn’t the same thing. Something related to; or that shares a similar theme (the unicorn finisher for example) can be used by all. I would 100% support the idea of finishers related to legendary weapons. Something exclusive to them that is only available to the owners of the weapons, seems less friendly to the majority of players.
Ok it was my mistake for using the term “rich” I didn’t mean it 100% literally I meant those that have legendary weapons or expensive skins etc. If you didn’t get lucky did you save gold/farm for things to sell so you could buy the parts you needed?
Like I said I’m 100% for new finishers, they can be a lot of fun, I just would prefer things that everyone can buy and use.
The rich? Gems are not that expensive. I am far from rich and I buy gems if I see something I want.
I wasn’t referring to people with gems as the sparkly toys, I was referring to the legendary weapons. I thought the OPs suggestion was to make these new finishers exclusively available to only those that owned the legendary weapon. Legendary weapons cost a bit more then 1k gems. Maybe I am mistaken and the legendary weapons aren’t only attainable by those that either put a lot of time, work, and effort into or just get super lucky, most people do not just buy a legendary weapon when they see one they want.

but but but what if the char players could be used AS mounts then it wouldn’t count as extra players? Ok in all seriousness I agree, adding more large things to the zerg wouldn’t be very helpful, and would create more lag then there is already.
What do you mean get enough for being legendary already? All that grind for a skin, and maybe some footfalls and effects if you’re lucky.

A skin, changeable stats and any effects that comes with it. I think that’s plenty, if you don’t the answer is simply don’t make one.
I know hes not asking for a game enhancing advantage, I just don’t think the legendary weapons need more things tied just to them. For instance the rainbow unicorn. I don’t own the dreamer so I couldn’t use it? (worth mentioning I did buy the finisher. if I couldn’t use it I wouldn’t have) I really wouldn’t support more things like that, the rich with all the pretty sparkly toys get more, those that don’t get left out?

If it helps any I think that was re-released a while ago, so it may pop up on sale some time here. Either that, or it’s highly likely all the DE 2.0 skins will come back when the LS/HoT picks up again
I agree! We have some mount-ish things in game already. However I would probably have to side with the people asking for mounts if we got char mounts… Humans mounted atop armored chars riding into battle swinging asura flails (held by the ears of course)
Hmmm, legendaries get enough for being legendary already. Also why would A-net want to limit their customer base on finishers so much?

Merchant.. The OP is requesting something NEW every day… Feel free to post a list of month that had new content EVERY day in a row… (I’ll re-run my PBE client for league and I’ll run it every day this month… It will be interesting to see if it updates and changes literally every day). Though PBE is not the live client so you would also need to keep that in mind.
Saying every game is different is works for nearly any game that is pvp… Unless you break the game down to the most simplistic and basic levels.

100% Agree, I played League for a while, they had bi weekly updates, if that, lately from what my friends have been saying, it’s been more like once a month-ish. So every other week or every month =/= every day. I’m curious what the OP is talking about.
Length doesn’t really matter, just be sure you put what the focus or interests of the guild are, what server you originate from (for wvw), and something catchy. Try to avoid a guild message that starts fights or flame wars… Send it every so often, I’d strongly recommend a timer of some sort maybe 10-20 mins ish… Try to avoid spamming it on map changes if you are chasseing world bosses, most of the people on the boss train probably came from the same map you did :P…

Hmm that’s pretty close to accurate. They are both strong classes, I personally prefer guardian to warrior; guardian has the whole holy knight flare, while warrior is just kinda bleh bland old warrior to me.
Yea, most likely they are just head and then the entire body… I mean look at the balth outfit, hide your helmet and it’s pretty obvious mix n match isn’t intended xD.
Just felt it worth mention due to the large amount of the population that is still wishing town clothes tonics would get changed to be useable again.
Guards aren’t terrible for dungeons and they definitely have low hp but they make up for it in healing/toughness.
I suggested Warrior because they usually have higher damage output, and are very mobile for open world solo play.
One day, I do hope that devs will allow mixing and matching of outfits. However, I will never get my hopes up because the amount of retroactive work that is required would be phenomenal, especially if you consider how frequently new outfits are released.
OP was correct about this, when the current outfits were “town clothes” parts of them could be mix n matched with other town clothes. However like I said be-for many of these were large chunks not individual pieces. Making the mix n match variety very low.
Random, you are correct you use to be able to mix some aspects of outfits… However if I recall correctly there was only top + bottom + hat maybe+ toy/costumebrawl tool. You could not mix outfits with armor sets. Also many outfits tops were the majority of the outfit. So not alot of option for mix n match was available. (This is about outfits not about the parts that got turned into tonics)
For what you described I’d say warrior.
^—- you bring up an interesting point… Mesmer joins a run that says “80 Zerker only ping gear”.. He pings assassins does he get kicked? xD
Though I do wish more gear stats were useful, always have hot to look forward to maybe it will change up the DPS sets

Not necessarily, some classes actually do better with different armor types. Example would be mesmer – a lot of the time they benefit more from full assassins than berserker and engineers actually deal superior damage using sinister in a solo setting by a large margin compared to berserker. I know what you meant but there are many exceptions to what you said.
I meant it as an easy to follow quick set, not a be all end all. The OP asked what the best class/set up was for dps. A majority of the time, the answer to that is zerker. So I was answering a blanket question with a blanket answer.
@OP: Yep Ele is one of the best dungeon/pve clearers around.
Race has neerly nothing to do with DPS… Most racial skills are pretty terible any way. It really comes down to class and gear… Standard rule: Zerker gear > anything for dps
You could learn it through leveling, I have more fun learning the play style I want to vs learning the easiest first…

No he isn’t wrong, I don’t think you get his point.
He isn’t saying kill stealing, or attacking a mob someone else is fighting, is bad because of loot or lack there of. But when fighting a mob solo you learn your class more in longer fights, where as if people jump in they die quickly and your skill as a player doesn’t improve.
If losing a few solo kills really impedes his learning that much I would be “impressed”. You fight mobs frequently, and it’s not like there is any lack of combat as you level up (unless you craft). Also playing with others is a big part of learning your character and the game
