Hard counters absolutely should exist. This is a team game. Part of the skill involved is having a good group comp. Good group comps cover each others weaknesses.
Youre wrong. Majority of player base doesn’t run 5 man premades, which means its not premade game about good group comps.
Also, if you let hard counters exist, some classes will extinct and we will again be back in “cele meta” with only half of classes playing, because rest will be “hard countered”.

I had a game…. lost 500-~420, won a pip… without being highest score. Had another game, lost 500-~420 too, lost a pip like it’s intended to.

Viper isnt the problem
Revenants are, they are the only class able to utilize viper without being completely weak
Minstrel wasn’t the problem, blind spam was – Mesmers still can BlindSpam.
Yet, Minstrel was removed. I’d rather see Viper removed than Malyx getting Druid threatment aka 400% cd incr among other “bug fixes”.

It’s the berserker amulet of condi. Personally, I think the issue is more along the lines of a class/build being able to thrive with absolutely no defensive stats.

This amulet is not the issue. At all. Better look at Durability runes.

Pip is something every Pipboy has.
This point system to cross the divisions is broken imo… It has been made for pro pvp team … But we’re a lot playing alone or as small team (2 or 3people) … So yay kind of impossible for us to get to the sapphire (at least) division ^^
Getting to sapphire within a week should be doable for average SoloQ.
I guess you care only about Conquest, but in Stronghold Cleric Druid is insane team support (23-5 or so in Ranked so far as soloQ).

What were you stealing from before? Thin air? It’s amazing how long that have been going on.
Sometimes mechanics overule lore, but this is a case of lore overruling mechanics. It just didn’t make any sense.
Now, I would not be against some F3 skill slot that can give the thief some sort of self-boost. Like a second pocket you can get. maybe with a trait, that stores defensive items instead offensive ones like F2 does, and make it so boons, stealth stun breaks and other self-targeted effects are linked to that one instead on stealing.
So, for example, stealing from a mesmer with that pocket would no longer give you a plasma that gives boons, but a skill that deals lots of short duration conditions on the enemy, and one usual plasma that gives the thief lots of short boons; from a guardian you’d get the usual mace, but also something that gives some stacks of stability and aegis to self; and so on.
You then choose to use either, but both are lost when either is used.But stealing itself has to reach an enemy and actually steal from them to have its effects.

I gained 2 pips from a win last night to complete the first tier in the first division. I just assumed it was bonus that everyone got.
You get two pips for win, when Matchmaking thought you will mostly likely lose given match.

Sorry for the long post, I just got a little carried away there. Anyway, I think the game is at a good place right now, for the most part, but I just want to say that it isn’t usually the condis alone that are causing issues for people.
The issues that I am hearing about are conditions being combined with the ridiculous amount of CC which is currently in the game. This is what is preventing people from cleansing the condis and/or evading the attacks. I have learned to adapt to this; I always run a build with lots of stability and condi cleanses, although personally, I still think the CC should be toned down a bit.
However, power-based builds with lots of CC will do the exact same thing, usually in less time. So IMO, we should be talking about the CC, not the condis.
I would respond to your posts, but everything you said was already adressed in this thread, I won’t repeat myself.
Also, if you haven’t figured people actualy complain about Carrion/Viper builds, which aren’t pure condi, they apply condi pressure by the way.
Actually, I kept pugging and slowly got a team of random people. It consists of 2 warriors, a rev, an ele, and a guard. We won almost every match. Warriors are pretty good, they might need a few buffs here and there but overall, they’re fine.
Warriors are not good, they are godlike OP. They are so much OP that no single team in ESL rolled a warrior, because that was absolutely unfair to others.
There are things called metas, have you ever heard of them? Its like that in every game. Take League of Legends for example, you always see the same champs being played in high level play. That doesn’t mean that other ones aren’t good, it just means people have a hive-mind mentality and bandwagon on certain champs because others say they are good now. Even though, the champions never actually change, its just some people find hidden potential in them and say they’re good, snowballing into more and more people saying this champ is better than that now.
People are hating on thiefs and warriors so much because of this mentality. They are also hating on DHs because of this mentality. People are stupid.
You’re wrong, Warriors are bad because of their damage:survi:utility ratio is bad compared to everything else.
I’d call that “Ironman” and add:

Shocking, I know, but there will ALWAYS be people in lower tiers. That’s the way the system works. So don’t go acting like you DESERVE to be in a higher tier when other people in higher tiers are better than you, have a better team comp, better communication, etc. If you want to be the best, you have to actually try.

Just got kittening 3 Warriors in team and lost it 5v4. So much value.
Divide Warriors evenly between teams or disable queing with them, srsly.
Edit: You can obviously also buff Warriors, so they won’t be such kittened -1.

lol come on guys, it was always listed to have lower vitality than it had and you should have known this was coming. it was op as hell before, best dps even as a ranged and the same defensive stats as a bear.
though it should be noted that they may have fixed the pathing issues with F2. ive been using it all day and i have yet for it to miss anything? anyone else wanna mess with it?

Read his entire post. Bristleback is about as he said risk-reward and skillful play, you don’t use F2 without hard CC.

Risk vs Reward which is a good thing, but saying that our pets don’t die much anymore if you trait and take right skills there tanky unless its PvE where everything dies in 1 shot.
Honestly, I see Bristleback a bit useless. Its F2 is easier to avoid (without CC) than Smokescale burst and Wolf is still needed imho in most cases as CC under swap to prevent rezes and stomps.
I don’t see a reason to nerf it.

The details tab only shows up when there are details like roster sizes. If there is no details tab then everyone is solo. This tab will also show league badges in Ranked.

Agreed. At least on the forums it’s more fun arguing with people about their logical fallacies of their view of the game, which infinitely more fun than actually queuing, only to get pooped on for not running an overtuned meta build that was introduced in the expansion.
