It only goes up to 2v2 and no, it’s not real 3v3. It’s not bad, but I have more than 1 friend I like to PvP with. Being balanced is arguable, it feels like some classes are weaker or stronger against certain others, like when I play my Blade Dancer I always have more trouble going against Destroyers, yet when I’m against Assassins, I feel like I have a good advantage just because of the mechanics.
Oh, and KungkittenMasters can be completely broken in 2v2.
Besides, WvW was fun until ArenaNet completely gutted the rewards.
One of my biggest gripes with BnS PvP is that the game offers to bring you along mid-leveling, yet doesn’t give you all the trait perks to balance it out.
…Because being out-traited by your opponent is cool.
At least GW2 gives you an equal environment in that regard, and at a younger level.
This is indeed painful issue.

Actually that is problem of gw2. GW2 seem having huge balance issue everytime they implements something new patch due to so many classes and so many build diversity.
BnS is quite simple as compared to gw2, but idk, i found that game no depth as compared to gw2, but much more balanced than gw2. Becuz it is hard for ncsoft dev to balance as long as their game remains simple.
If you were dev what would you select?
1. Implement diversity, and have balance issue everytime you implement something new, resulting in people quit the game. But generally, game with diversity is more fun than simple game when balance is perfect.2. Make game simple, less build dependant game like BnS or LoL.
well idk. Having diversity is good and the main point why we play this game but sometimes it is disaster when it gets too complicated for even devs.
I agree but I wouldn’t compare bns to lol since one is a moba and the other is a failed MMO.
I thought its Fighting game, like Tekken, where you spam Arena and ignore PvE after reaching max lvl in two days…

Composition diversity in Stronghold: Reaper, Tempest, Druid, Bunker Mesmer.
Then form a big npc ball, and keep it to full hp. Reapers will apply pressure to the defending players by condi spamming.
I liked stronghold, a small break from conquest, but once you get those tryhard cheese comp, it’s nothing that deserves “legendary title”.
Like “tryharding cheese comp” in Conquest deserves “legendary title”…

If what you say is true then the there is zero reason for them to have merged solo and team q.
But they did merge them, which means they had good reasons.
Reasons which could be “good” in case of LoL, don’t have to be good in case of GW2.

If only certain classes were allowed to use it then i would be all for it.
For instance a water/earth/tempest ele can wear a marauder amulet and bunker almost as well as a guardian can in any amulet while still providing good boon support and damage.
So it would make sense for a guardian to have it to make up for poor design.
If you allowed a ele, druid or engineer to use it however it would likely result in classes/specs that just will not die.
I’ve been saying it since ever. Not all Amulets should be avalible for all professions.

In a league system where everyone starts at the lowest league at the start of a season that actually should happen. The real problem is getting matched with much weaker players who’ll leave you to die in a 4v2 at mid while they all rush beast or thieves who rush in with shortbow 5 and won’t even benefit from your overload attunement share or have the initiative for when they’ll really need it.
You mean in horribly designed system, where pros can exploit to get matched below their own rating?

I’ve stopped playing Leagues myself during first week (not even logging in currently) since constant playing vs premades isn’t fun, even if I can win more than I lose, it’s simply not fun.

Divisions were supposed to be = MMR. Yet, without proper MMR reset at the beginning of the league, we got two different systems trying to to same thing.
If GW1 was so good, it would still be healthy. But it’s not, it’s nothing but a dying husk.
Its dying, because its not supported by ANet anymore.
No patches, no support, no anything, because otherwise, we wouldn’t buy and play GW2.

Any Conquest meta is bad, because objective is bad. GW2 need redesign to Conquest objectives – and I don’t mean nodes have to be removed, but point gains should have completly different weight to make more tactics, stategies and builds useful.

Premades often doesn’t win because they are better skill wise, but because often they have:
a) better team composition (moar meta)
b) experience of playing together
c) voice communcation
…those things doesn’t make premades better skill wise, yet they let them win more than they deserve.

I have the 2 best shatter mesmers in the game on my team. I’d rather have balance before class stacking bans. All we do by opting for no class stacking is settle for mediocrity.

Class stacking is a problem because the game is unbalanced. Removing class stacking from tournaments would cover the real problems and make the game look more balanced than it actually is, which might discourage Anet even more to properly balance the game. And “non-pro” players could have to endure this crappy meta even longer …

Exacly, with currrent conquest rule set (point gains for certain tasks) always “bunkering” and “rotating” (read also as “outnumbering”) will be more important than actual mechanical skill.
While I believe nodes were made just to give us reason to fight and not avoid fights…
