Rampager is conceivable for general PVE as it will work well with barbed precision. Although Sinister would work just as well.

Sinister > Rampager.

If you want to do the most damage: Sinister > Carrion > Rabid > Dire.
Rampager should only be used in combo with Carrion or Dire to buff crit chance.

If you want to be tanky: Dire > Carrion/Rabid mix > Carrion > Rabid > Sinister.

You basically need to pick traits and weapons first and then figure out your own sweetspot for offense vs defense by adjusting the gear stats.

If we’re talking PVE, I doubt Carrion would be as much use as Rabid. I could see them as being of more use in PvP, but I don’t play PvP so Carrion is of little use to me.

I think anything with power damage is going to be better in pve, so carrion > rabid

There are two reasons why “some good players” aren’t on any teams.
1. THEY DIDN’T kittenING ENTER.
2. THEY AREN’T GOOD ENOUGH TO PLAY ON ANY OF THE TEAM THAT DID ENTER.

Stop kittening so much just because the wvw pvpers can’t hack it against what you call a fraternity. You continously try to put down a team that let’s be honest is a big reason we even have a pvp following in NA. Oh and that team happened to win the WORLD tournament.

Well I know alot of people from EU who went NA (because they say our Pvp is better). And I would love shorter Q times but the NA and EU servers are on diffrent places and that can give lag to Eu players who play on NA pvp and vice versa.

Nice idea tho but hard to make come true…

The amount of excuses from EU players not in TCG, and the complete inability to admit the legit win is just outstanding. Every post was “well na played well but, tcg actually won because they didn’t practice and used an outdated comp”….

He’s talking about the 6/4/0/0/4 dhuum terror necro my guess would be something along the lines of mark 2,3,5 swap to ds 5, 3 , 1 , 2 come out of ds swap to scepter and hit 3. I would guess sos is also in there. But all that is stll more than 3 seconds.

I have used the wurm as an escape, I’ve also used it to stomp, I’ve also seen other necromancers use it as an escape.

Well the topic is necromancers punished for having regen which is the case sometimes. But any class can be punished for having regen on…. mostly by necros.

I’m not arguing about ds being changed and then we get healing through ds. I’m arguing about giving healing in DS in the necromancers current state. If they changed ds to a smaller number and made it more of an offensive mechanic then we might need healing in DS.

I absolutely understand the topic. Muchacho. You want healing in ds because every other class has a mechanic but only necro gets locked out of receiving healing while using it, but every other class doesn’t have a extra hp bar that also increases toughness has an instant interupt, a teleport, a decent aoe damage channel, a powerful condi application that has a power hit and an immobilize….

Well I want a hard CC condition that also does damage on my ele, oh and I want a second hp bar.

Are you all dying in like 5 seconds or something? Seriously our sustain isn’t as bad as a lot of you are saying and I get you are all upset that our class mechanic prevents our hp from being healed…. but I don’t think the devs designed the necro to get heals in deathshroud and I have no clue how most of you don’t understand how op it would be to be getting burst healed along with any other regen or healing while in deathshroud.

It’s a roaming 1v1 temp and it’s as hybrid as it gets, only condi it can’t do is confusion but you could change the armor a little bit and use perplex runes instead of aristocracy and change up the battle sigils to something else.

Wouldn’t bother with scepter as it doesn’t hit very fast or hard the dagger will proc bleeds as will the warhorn 5. I guess you could use axe but I just don’t think the damage or the bleed procs will be as good. Terror and dhuum decently high base damage and your condi duration is good. If you manage to hit someone with spite doom and a lifeblast they will hit every panic button they have.

Btw please do not confuse me with the Nex that just started posting here promoting some website that has a an MM build and a vamp build on it. Also has some math tables were he “shows” axe is the necros highest dps weapon. No idea where the numbers he got came from though

I use staff d/w on all power necro builds, it’s rare for me to ever use axe. Having a fear, a transfer and a poison/chill pretty much insta cast is too nice and soulmarks is awesome. I even use s2 to force opponents movement.

If your planning on solo roaming I think theif or mesmer would be better bets.

Not for nothing but the staff auto still misses almost 100% on a moving target anything over 600 range.

Those good necromancers were fighting absolutely god awful wvwers and probably uplevels.

Against good players sure you can be effective just don’t expect to be winning major tourneys with it at the moment

Zerk dagger warhorn staff. Press 1 alot. Press f1, press one alot. Heal. Press one alot, press f1. Press 1 alot. Rinse and repeat feel free to change up the order and add util skills but that’s pretty much what you do.
