More spawns on the way up to the node would solve this. I’ve tried stealthing my way up the spiral when they had a ton of karka on the way. It wasn’t possible for me. Stealth went on cd b4 I could get another to save myself so, just add some group challenge to get that node and problem solved.

The boat ride and what it should be.

NinjaEd.3946

We have waypoints and asura gates which do the heavy lifting of walking all over Tyria, which since they teleport have no better way to be made. HOWEVER, since when do MMOs make boat rides a teleport? The world as many say already feels to small since you just skip around the globe to do activities. Teleports are fine but I think the boat ride should be, an actual boat ride. Not some 30 minute long instance that just soars through the Sea of Sorrows, but a short (maybe 10-15 minutes) instance with randomly occuring events that make your journey to SouthSun Cove a memorable adventure. The boat would come to Lion’s Arch harbour and dock, npcs would do their thing, and you will have a 5-10 minute time frame to get on the boat. It then departs into an instance with the people on board having to defend the boat from harm. Some boat events could be:

-Since your in risen territory, risen bone ship appears and approaches your boat. Use your onboard cannons to destroy it. If the boat gets close enough, risen will spawn on board. Board the enemy ship to plant asuran explosives in certain spots to sink it, or continue using the cannons. Asuran explosives start countdown when all are planted, if you are still on the boat when it explodes, instant death but the Lion’s Arch boat will have a wp on board you can teleport to so you may continue your journey.
-Karka are bashing the ship as well as jumping on board. Defeat them on top deck and use supplies in the bottom deck to repair the hull of the ship before it sinks.
-a Strange mist flows over the ocean…. DRAGONS! Little dragons (like the ones around orr, but are more water based than undead) are flying around harrasing the boat, use ranged weapons or the cannons to defeat them! The dragons use many AoE moves hitting the top deck.

If any of the events fail, you simply get teleported back to the dock in Lion’s Arch and another ship will be there shortly. This makes your journey to SouthSun Cove an actual challenge, and not just a cutscene, then a loading screen. The Arah dungeon can’t be done without doing the events to secure the gates of arah so it’s basically the same thing here. Keep the boat safe and you will arrive at your destination. However, with a challenge getting there, SouthSun Cove would need more of an incentive to go to in the first place…. More event chains?

I don’t understand why we are almost forced to leave overflow with harrasing messages. It should be an option to enter queue, not some automatic function. At the moment entering the Fractals of the MIst requires all players be in the same (overflow)server. Many people decided to enter queue as soon as the message appears resulting in missing persons constantly, not to mention the message to enter/leave queue occurs whenever you can, so you could be in the middle of a fight and get blocked by this obnoxious box. Please make entering queue optional, I don’t care to leave overflow, there is nothing special in normal server flow.

Agree with op, I was there for 3 hours toughing through the obnoxious reinforcement phase, finished the 12 pockets of gas part. Just before hitting the webs inside the hive, I HAD to leave for work or risk showing up late. Came back and saw I got nothing rewarded. Not even a thanks for tagging along, heres a 20 slot box that everyone else got. I think this is extremely unjust to those who were forced out early. If the drops were some rares possibly an exotic, I wouldn’t care at all and would move on. But the rewards were much much more significant than anything I have seen and from the looks of it, thousands missed out after putting in as much effort as time would allow. Please compensate us for our work! I don’t expect a precursor and some 10g worth of random loot to shut me up, but something for my time and effort atleast…

I’m just upset that I put in 3 hours on the event which I actually liked (excluding the waves or karka portion) and I decided to go to work instead of call in , and I got nothing from the event. People have places to go, if this event was spammable that’d be one thing and no one would complain but it isn’t, and people got 20 slot bags, some accessories, exotics being possible precurosor. The rewards were significant and worth it, if you had the full time. I and many others either had to leave early or disconnected so many times to the point of not getting any compensation. I’m sure they know who participated in the event and who didn’t get rewarded a chest. I’m not asking for a precursor and some 20g worth of exotics as compensation, but atleast give me something….

I liked the event, regardless of the little lag (my pc was handling it alright, only a few times it froze up but other than that I was consitently attacking). My only, ONLY problem, is that after the breaking of the 12 pockets of gas, and right before destroying the webs or w/e I had to go to work. I was there from the start of receiving my mail and up till the webs and I got no reward.. 3 hours of hard work and nothing, please areanet give those who had to leave early some diminished rewards or something it really isn’t fair.

Traveling Merchants for Endgame zones.

NinjaEd.3946

I think Frostgorge sound, and Fireheart Rise dont get enough attention. These zones are beautifully designed and offer some very fun events but their rewards are minimal and are too far in between. They really deserve a deeper sense of adventure and to reward you not just for being there but for doing well. Possible Solution? A supply caravan/balloon the towns folks must make that sets off to a town or camp. Caravan/balloon qualities are:
-no health regen.
-Health and toughness of caravan scale up as it progresses through the zone. Power, health and toughness for guards.
-10 guards for both Caravan and Balloon
-Caravan moves slightly faster than Supply pack mule from WvW.
-Rests for 30 seconds when it zones and heals a % of its max hp.

So for Frostgorge sound, an event will start where you must gather randomly placed wood around Hoelbrak to build the caravan. If successful, a caravan is made and soon will leave Hoelbrak and make its way towards Yak’s Bend. Enemy type and numbers adjust to the zone as does the Caravan’s toughness and health.

Fireheart rise will have an event start where you must gather randomly placed metal around the Black Citadel to build the machine. War balloon take off from the Black Citadel and flies straight towards the Burnt Hallow. When the ship departs you will enter a cutscene of it lifting off and enter a “fly” zone. When in this zone, there is no way to fall off the Balloon. This event will encounter the magic of the Flame Legion seige weapons, flame elementals flying about shooting at the ship, and flame legion that board the balloon. Make use of the cannons on board to protect the ship and push away invaders.

Both events reward you not based on getting to the destination, but how well, if at all, you get to the destination. The more hp the caravan has when it reaches its destination, the higher the chance of rare gear and materials. If the caravan is destroyed, the event fails and you simply walk away from it. If the War balloon gets destroyed, the event fails and you are ported back to the starting point.

When the caravan reaches its destination, you can safely purchase rare materials that randomly rotate, offering a price just below the TP price. Also some new skins could be made exclusive to these events and offer better skins/material offers the better you do the event.

Anyone else think this should be the case? It atleast makes all dungeons relevant and you get rewarded for repeating the dungeon. Maybe to sort of keep DR up a little, repeating the same path will give you Diminishing rewards but if you complete all 3 paths of the dungeon you can refresh the DR, do them over at a harder difficulty, and get better loot

I like the # 3 and 4 a lot. Mainly 3 because some boss skills or even WvW effects keep you downed for such a long time. Perhaps when you are downed like that, you can “tumble” to get back up but have daze for the remaining duration. That way you don’t completely ignore crowd controls like that and ruin some profession abilities which depend on the second or two of you being down. Problem though is #1 is basically a block, #2 is basically swiftness and there are other ways of getting around (Teleport, leap, etc.) I dont see #5 being necessary or even used. People run in “circles” because some professions destroy stationary targets. Plus skill shots would be all too easy to cast if someone was standing still to recover endurance a little faster. +1 for # 3 and 4 and creativity ^^

Weapon Ratings.

in Suggestions

Posted by: NinjaEd.3946

NinjaEd.3946

Just wanted to see what people would think of a system like this. This would only be relevant to PVE but in WvW or pvp, you would have max weapon rating or maybe even no weapon rating so all is the same there. For pve, this is not something that would make your dmg higher, or your crit dmg any higher, or any sort of super buff for maxing the weapon rating.

Learning all the weapon skills a weapon has to offer, is very simple and easy. I have a love/hate relationship with this because I do like to get into combat and be “efficient” early, but I hate it because it is so quick it might as well not even be there. I feel like putting on a new weapon is just that. You don’t gata work on it in any way other than buying it with the right stats or crafting one. With that being said, here goes the suggestion:

====Weapon ratings, you use the weapons skills and kill enemies with it, you level up the rating. Max weapon rating of perhaps 300.

====Higher ratings offer a higher chance of hitting the top 50% of your dmg (So for example if you hit between 100-200, with max weapon rating that weapon would have a higher chance of hitting between 150-200.) This doesn’t increase your max dmg, only makes your dmg a little more consistent. Ofcourse there is still a chance to hit that 100-150 dmg but it would be less often. Every 50 weapon rating increases the chance to hit the higher 50% of your dmg by 2.5%. So using the above example, at 300 weapon rating, you have a 15% more chance to hit between 150-200.

====Higher weapon ratings offer different effects. (Hate to bring it up but,) Call Of Duty had weapon skins when you completed challenges with them. They didn’t change the shape of the gun, only added a little decal to it. To implement that into here, some weapon rating exclusive skins coudl be:
-different levels of shine or dullness, but not to the point of a glow or anything like Legendaries. If the weapon has a already glow or shine, higher weapon ratings can let you adjust the intensity of it.
– Handle ornaments such as a tassel, small chain, handle wrapping or a bladed hilt.
-Access to weapon dyes at 300 rating. Mostly affecting the handles and ornaments of weapons.

None of the above listed really change weapons into a “Legendary skin”. The just add a little flavour and individuality to dull weapons. No glowing dyes so you can’t make a ghastly weapon skin from some Master Quality or any kind of dungeon gear. I like how they are exclusive as it makes you having one feel unique but dyeing a hammer handle or if an ornament was added, would do little but offer freedom to express. MAYBE, the weapon ornaments option would surround the idea of your characters personality trait. If you have dignity you would have a bladed hilt, chain for ferocity, and tassle or feathered tassel for charm.

I think this would give us a little something to work towards when getting a weapon rather than the 2 minutes of easy kills to learn a weapon skills. Since there are so few weapon skills I understand why it was done this way but regardless, it seems like olittle work imo.

PS. I don’t see 15% at 300 weapon rating “balanced”. Just throwing in a small number so you can get the idea of it. The actual numbers I leave in the hands of the developers if they even consider this topic.

Well thats where the skill ideas come into play. They show how the weapon behaves on that class. Not suggesting the ideas as much as im suggesting their concept. Thief Xbow would be a slow, long range, high peak dmg with some utility on the side (no weapon kit should only be strict dmg, otherwise it seems kinda bland) while for guardian it will be like support from a distance. Not to mention I’m told guardian ranged skills are very slow moving or just plain useless so atleast the Xbow for them would be a quicker travel speed while offering some interesting utility.

thief crossbow would be slow? have you played a thief shortbow? we don’t need more slow ranged

Would you rather our Xbow for thief be super fast and receive a multi set of nerfs afterwards? I’m just skipping over the crying kid part and moving to what it would end up being. We have SB for slow aoe, pistols for fast single target, and Xbow would be slow farther range single target with high peak dmg.

Every profession would have a rune only appliable to a back piece that would add a new effect to their profession skills. They would be soulbound on aquire and perhaps be purchases through karma, or if possible a Profession exclusive short story line that rewards them with it and are only availible to those level 70+. Some ideas for Profession skill runes could be:
-Thief steal interupts actions.
-Warrior profession skills heal for 10% damage done.
-Guardian Virtue of justice active adds 1 extra burn strike to allies. (Total of next 2 strikes burn)
-Elementalist attunement releases a torrent affecting foes within 400 units of them with that element upon switching. (Earth cripples, fire burns, water chills, lightning dazes. All durations last 2 seconds.) Cooldown 10 seconds.
-Necromancer when entering Death Shroud causes vulnerability to foes within 500 units for 3 seconds . 15 second cooldown.
-Engineer Using a toolbelt skill lowers all other cooldowns by 1 second. Excludes the skill itself.
-Mesmer Mind Wrack deals 5% more dmg if the target is under the effects of a condition.
-Ranger while your pet is downed, it gains a slow regeneration (2% max health per second). This takes longer than switching pets but its that 5 extra seconds that you could choose to wait out if the current pet selection is the one you need more.

So you’re disagreeing with content being made for people to churn to, and you want things to be achieved in years again? What I view as fun, you don’t find fun, and what you find fun, I don’t view as fun. People have different tastes and the industry as a whole is shifting towards a more casual player base as you yourself have noted.

Big raids in this game would be a ridiculas zergfest, not fun nor challenging. I do think you could probably get away with a 10 man, but anymore than that would be lulz just like the dragon fights are. I also give Anet alot of credit for making this game as well as they did considering their stance against “gated content.”

Your kind of contridicting yourself a bit. You give credit to AreaNet for making this game as well as they did and yet say that adding raids wouldn’t be challenging or fun. Whose to say they would make raids that way? They have their own flavour on adding content and I’m sure they would work for a long time on an idea like this (Assuming it was to be added) to ensure it was rewarding, yet not an obligation along with being not just something to do, something you WANT to do.

Should Legendary weapons be account wide ?

There is a simple way to prevent that, by implementing a Legendary maker just as the Hat maker in GW1.
You give him your freshly crafted legendary, he then craft for a small fee unlimited supply of skin-only Legendary weapons.
Not only does it prevents your issue with stats weapons, it can also add another way of taking gold back from economy with a steady price of couple golds per skin.

Lyssa, no. If at all, they would have to make legendaries soulbound on aquire or else this would trash the market.

I reckon there wouldnt be as many tier 6 mats for sale if people weren’t required to farm them for legendaries. For the most part, crafting is not very profitable so people wouldnt waste the effort to gather tier 6 mats as much if they were only for crafting garbage no one wants. A quest line could stray people away from feeding the tp with orichalucm ore, ancient wood logs, sea weed, etc stabilizing it.

As a thief since pre-day 1 of GW2, I don’t think we need more stealth skills. I think quality over quantity applies here. Yes more “assassination” skills would be nice but people already complain about backstab being over powered (BTW, Back Stab is NOT op, the traits that allowed thieves to get around 10 stacks of might from venoms/signets was what made the backstab super strong along with assassin signet which is now nerfed, so those who still complain need to get over it.) We already have unique stealth skills with each weapon set. If anything there should be a profession skill [F2] that increases the duration of the next stealth by a few seconds but triples the cooldown of returning to stealth. That way we get a sort of long duration (not permanent) of decision making without making the next decision so soon. but tbh, this post should have been on some other thief post suggested here. Cluttering up the forums with multiple posts on the same topic is frustrating to any AreaNet employee seeking hot topics with positive feedback.

I start to wonder if this is AreaNet’s thinking of low drop quality. I’m level 80 and I joined in Jormag fight at the last part when it was near death, threw in couple thousand dmg and got a gold medal. Same thing for Tequiti. Just wondering if the low drop quality is because silver and gold medal is soo easy to acheive.

Basically I suggest making silver and gold medal participation much MUCH harder to acheive. With this, increase the drop quality and karma/gold/experience reward for them to an appropriate rate. That way you get better rewards for getting gold and feel proud that you put gold effort in. I don’t feel like 2 minutes of dmg on my end is gold worthy so no wonder I get blues and a green material. This increases the incentitive to push effort in, while rewarding you likewise.

Not sure if people read the moderator. Stop bringing up WoW. It isn’t constructive to this thread in any way. As for those apposed of the “Gear treadmill” raids bring, we know AreaNet wouldn’t make that the reward for “raids”. It would be some currency like tokens from dungeons or karma which you collect to get skins. With the dozens of new legendaries appearing in LA (Yes I said dozens) I’m sure people would welcome new skins to diferentiate themselves from the others takin their style. Never played a “raid” type instance but from how people described them, it could be done well with AreaNet if not better. Dynamic events are fun and are the open world “raid” some are looking for but for the most part, there is no orgnization. Dungeons come down to cordination and quick responses from its participants so expanding on this to a 10-15 man party would be really interesting to try out. Not saying it would be flawless from the start, it may need to be shut down for weeks to tweak things here and there but I’m positive AreaNet would approach “raids” without goin mainstream MMO.

Please don’t add raids. I don’t want to make a video game a part time job just so I can get the skins I want. The main thing I absolutely love about GW2 is that I can play on my own time and progress in all aspects of the game. I don’t want to become irrelevant simply because someone else can dump 3 hours a night 3-4 days a week and I can’t.

The only way I would like to see raids was if the SAME gear was obtainable through other means, meaning dungeon content could scale up. This would never happen because the moment that would be implemented, since the more players are involved the more difficult it gets, those players would want better rewards and they would deserve better.

What do you think Legendaries are already? And depending on your group and the dungeon, dungeons can take a good hour to complete and yet there is exclusive gear tied to that dungeon. I don’t think 20+ people raids would be necessary as we already have large groups running orr and other DE but a 10-15 group with cordination could be fun and challenging. Remember cordination with larger numbers means more room for error and in dungeons, usually you can’t afford too much going wrong without resetting. Skins is the name of the end-game so making exclusive skins to these “raid” dungeons would be the same as the pre-existing dungeons in terms of reward. They don’t gata make dungeons that take 2-4 hours to complete, its about quality not quantity. (So it MAY take 2-4 hours if you don’t have any clue on how to beat a part but a well cordinated group could take like 45 min or something. So you dont have to make your eyes bleed just to get closer to a skin)

It really comes down to numbers. Any values I posted above I do not consider to be balanced. Only used them as a sort of reference and to avoid shoving X’s and Y’s in place. AreaNet handles balance fairly well so hypothecally, if they did add this, I imagine they would take a long time adjusting values. Not all ideas are “Over powered”, only their values may seem “Over Powered” which takes simple tweaking to hit the sweet spot.

Go back to WoW, please. GW2 doesn’t need raids, dungeons are fine.

The addiction factor is already high enough as it is.

Never played wow, and I welcome this idea as a testing for PVE. NO WoW DEVELOPERS ARE HERE. So stop thinking that AreaNEt would approach “Raids” the same as them. But someone suggested more or better rewarding DE which I think would accomplish the same thing really. IF “raid” dungeons were implemented they would prolly be focused on skins. Unique skins like dungeon gear that is centered around the theme of the dungeon.

Legendary is legendary because most people don’t have several hundred gold lying around or the dungeon tokens necessary.

Seems kinda lame to make end-game content only for those who have the time. AreaNet strives to make this game for “everyone” so you don’t have some people with limitless time exceding others in terms of shine. Not everyone has several hundred gold but enough do where I’m seeing dozens of legendaries in LA already. ALREADY! Example shows that it isn’t that far out of reach for most. Perhaps to extend on making these Legendaries less common, make several new world events as a part of the quest lines that has a 2-3 day respawn and a low chance of dropping the item you need. Or make a specific action you must take during the world event such as throwing rocks that fall around at the Big boss in Metricia Province (Forget the name, its a giant flaming elemental) with a small chance of the item turning into a molten rock for the recipe. Or even a chance of the MegaLazer for Tequiti to break off a quest item that appears in the chest at the end. And ofcourse make these quest line items soulbound on aquire so none may trade them.

Well thiefs don’t have a good long range weapon. Shortbow is laughable in range and dmg; as for pistols are also lacking in range but atleast pistols have good dmg. Xbow on thief would be a slow, long range peak dmg weapon. I only suggest on guardian because it fits their style of bulky weapons and also, Midieval times? Ranger has enough weapons as do warrior. Thief has very few…

Many MANY posts about this subject. Should post there to support those threads or add onto them instead of cluttering up the forums. That way AreaNet can see which threads are popular and will probably look at them. As for OP, I don’t think there should be a bonus stat wise for 1 specific reason: Not all players have the time to get them. Meaning, those who have little time to spare for this game would never get them leaving them to be under-geared for events and dungeons and what not. Additional stats would make Legendaries a necessity not a luxury as its intented. Basically look at mosts Legendary posts and you’ll see, people want more of a reason to obtain legendaries such as optional stat sets(Choose between the stats set you want to fit your playstyle without having to carry around multiple Exotics to fulfill that) and a questline so they arn’t just a grind from hell or an expensive purchase for lazy people who don’t feel like grinding all the mats.

Can we have an option to auto cast AoE Effects at your current target?

in Suggestions

Posted by: NinjaEd.3946

NinjaEd.3946

Theres cast where mouse is and you can also double tap skill to cast where mouse is. Either way its a AoE you place not auto target. Besides some AoE’s are delayed so if you auto target an enemy with it the center of it will be where the enemy was(Assuming the enemy isn’t braindead and knows how to move while in combat) so you will end up missing a lot of your AoE. Just sayin.

Never done a “raid” as I’ve never played a game with an instance with more than 5 or so people. However people keep bringing up this WoW garbage in here. This isn’t WoW nor are any of its developers here. AreaNet always adds it own flavor to each design and instance so I see no reason why not just to try it. They could release some temporary “Raids” to see how they play out and if they don’t bring enough to the table, just simply dismiss them.

+1. Call me crazy, but legendaries are too easy to get. Someone either does it the right way and gathers all the materials or someone if they have the funds and wana be lazy, can actually buy every single material and essentially buy a “Legendary”. The way it is now gives me no motivation to make one. I wana have an adventure with some story telling to get my end-game pieces not grind it out.

I assume you have one then since it’s so easy to get?

Moving on … I have no real problems with legendaries and how to get them, but I would have liked a less, grindy approach since everything you need is pretty much a grind in itself.

I actually don’t own one. Main reason being I already see dozens of people on my server with them and trend analysis shows me, they are too easy. Not this many people would have legendaries already if they were hard to get. Clearly the “Grind” isn’t hard enough or most of these people I find just flat out bought the mats to make them. They are easy to get. Its just repetitive as heck so people claim it is hard but no. Fine line between difficult and boring repitition.

Battle For Claw Island [PVE interests]

in Suggestions

NinjaEd.3946

PART 2: Depending on how many players are aboard, more ships will come up close to lessen the crowding on the boat because part 2, is the ride to claw island. At first it will seem like a simple trip but as you progress, bone ships will appear and you must take them out. If they get close enough risen will appear on your ship and any who arn’t manning a cannon will need to rid of them or risk getting overun. Part 2 has 3 POSSIBLE mini events which include up to all of them or atleast 1, along with the risen bone ship ambush. These events are:
-Sea creatures are bashing the ship below, plug the leaks to avoid your ship from sinking. The amount of repairs needed to plug the leaks will increase with the amount of people on board. Those up top may target the aggressive sea life to lower the damage the ship receives.
– Risen Captain ship is getting ready to board, you must either push back the invading risen or board the risen bone ship and kill the captain on board. Killing the captain will stop spawning the risen and you will have 30 seconds to get back onto your ship before it submerges. Spawning risen rate increases with more participants as well as their difficulty.
– Bone claws have latched onto the ship and won’t let go. Break the claws before they crush your ship. While the claws are latched, risen will “climb” the claws. Each claw represents a spot where the risen may “climb” or spawn. Breaking a claw stops that spot from spawning more. The spawn rate for every other spot increases as more claws are destroyed. Claw damage and risen spawn rate increases with more people.

If you reach the 8 minute mark with atleast 1 ship alive you succeed the event and move onto part 3.

PART 3: This is the WvW of PVE world. Risen will be in the fort as well as outside trying to break in. Claw Island consists of catapults, a fortified gate, experimental cannons, and 4 experimental lazers. Your objective is to guard 3 key points from the risen for the duration of the event (10 minutes, 15 minutes, idk how long people like doing world events). Once a point is lost, it cannot be retaken so the less points you hold the more the risen will push. If a risen wave almost captures a point but you kill them off, you can slowly recapture it on your side but not if it is fully lost. Holding atleast 1 point will succeed the event but there are mini events that help cull or strengthen the risen invasion such as:

-Jump over the walls or use the fort’s catapults to destroy the enemies catapults. Destroying them will remove any Risen waves from being launched over. Risen waves catapulted in start with a 5 second cripple.

-Protect the barracks from risen. As long as the barracks are alive, your supply of npc guards will continue. There are 5 total barracks and if all are lost, you will have no more npc reinforcments.

-Use experimental cannons to push back risen giants. They destroy the walls and gate very quickly if they arn’t dealt with. Cannons will highly dmg and stun them for a second. You may also hop over the wall to attack the giant but it is a strong foe and recommends good team support to survive it along with the risen outside the wall.

-Chance of Occuring, Bone dragon will appear. Use 4 delayed lazers to bring down the dragon(hard to aim with delay). If all 4 hit the dragon you pull it to the ground and those around either on foot or using seige weapons can damage it. The dragon offers moral support to the risen increasing their stats by 5% as well as dropping risen waves into the fort so you want to take the dragon out quickly.

If the group keeps atleast 1 key location alive they win and get a chest at the end while all the risen enemies drop dead. The whole goal of this suggestion, give a reason for claw island other than a storyline place you visit only twice. Plus its visable on my World map but I can’t even see it from anywhere or revisit it Q.Q

Event Qualities: All participants are synced to 80 if not already 80 (just like WvW) The event starts in LA with 2 large ships entering LA harbour and docking. Ship qualities include:
-Uppder deck, lower deck, and bottom deck.
-Each side has 4 cannons and both the upper and lower deck have its own set so a total of 16 cannons on both ships. Cannons are breakable.
-Each cannon only has 1 option of ammo: Large round with a 5 second cooldown.
-1 WayPoint on each ship once you enter the event zone.
-Both ships can be broken and sunk leaving those on board the option to exit the event zone or waypoint to the other ship. If both ships are sunk the event fails and all are forced out of the zone to the docks of LA.
-Ship takes 1 minute to enter the harbour and dock, as well as depart and exit the harbour.
-Ship takes 8 minutes to reach claw island once exiting to the event zone.

PART 1: This event would start at LA near the docks where scouts will show up by boat, run off and shout asking for helpers to join them on their defence of claw island against Risen forces. Players who want to participate will have to hop aboard the boat and after a few minutes the guards will hop on board and the ship will sail off. Any who miss the boat simply won’t be able to get on the boat by any means. Then the boat ride will exit LA harbours and a loading screen to the event zone will load.

A Fresh Idea for A-net

Posted by: NinjaEd.3946

NinjaEd.3946

I like the idea and how the op laid out set-backs for using said “training” so you dont just get a flat out buff. However people keep looking at those numbers like thats the only suggestion. Look at ideas and just treat numbers as a extra layer of shine on them because if ideas from the community are every added into the game, we can safely assume Areanet will adjust any values to be balanced b4 releasing it. I for one play thief main and would like an extra profession skill that affects my play style and not just does something or damages someone. (All we get is nerfs because people cry that they don’t know how to counter glass cannons.. disgusts me.)

Question for OP, are those buffs under each Training all on at once or did you just lay out some ideas that could be used? Because honestly, that many buffs from one skill (No matter elite or profession) is a bit much. Still creative and +1 for that.

How to make legendary weapon practical but not OP

NinjaEd.3946

I support this Idea 100%. I also think some sort of story line should be implemented so you don’t grind materials to make a skin. Instead you follow a series of hard quests and approach difficult tasks by yourself or with a group to collect account bound crafting materials that make up the legendary. I’ve posted the process awhile ago:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/suggestions/Fix-legendaries/first#post429489.

Ignore the first post, that was old thinking of when I first learned how legendaries were but basically changed it into a weapon with options. I like you’re approach to stats a lot more nice thinking ^^

To any who own or had owned one in the past, I’m having troubles setting G8-G10 as a lone button I guess you could call it. No matter what button I set it to using SetPoint, the function of the button stays the same. (G10 shows all windows open in a tilted view, G9 opens up the internet) How do I change this? Does my mouse have a hardware issue or am I missing something in SetPoint? I’ve tried setting to generic, I tried seting to a keystroke and then assigning my utility skills to that keystroke and nothing. Please help.
