No just no, and yes has has been brought up along with several valid reasons why it is a bad idea.

Transfer lockouts, guild practice runs, GvG, Lawls for killing nub zergs, all valid reasons to bring a guild into EotM.

For us its a case of being locked out of WvW, which I think is to long of a duration but that’s here nor there. Why wouldn’t we want to run together ? Your in a WvW zone expect WvW to happen.

I do not want to sift through the thousand+ posts so please forgive me if this has been asked.

Is it not possible to leave at least ONE hub server specific ? Its annoying having not just our guild but our server scattered in several different instances. Please for the love of god give us somewhere server specific outside of WvW.

Yip, the servers that do not have the coverage will not get the rewards they deserve for fighting an uphill battle for 2 months. They will work harder get beat up worse and have their Morale challenged on several occasions only to be slapped in the face at the end of it all.

Comedy Gold, I’m glad someone dug this Gem up. If there was ever any doubt about how little they care or the lack of attention given to WvW vs. every other aspect of the game this post from Devon should put that to rest.

While I wouldn’t mind some more coverage I’m not interested in the least in playing in higher tiers. I’m quite happy with our NA prime time population, I wouldn’t say no to a night or morning crew guild.

No thanks, played in T2 and played against T1 in Season 1, no desire to be part of the 1 mashing blob fest ever again.

CC in any game should never exceed X duration, people want to play not spend copious amounts of time unable to move or fight back.

Most classes have Condi removal or stability available but if its down or your running a different build your screwed. Who ever thought this would be a good idea probably shouldn’t have any input in development from this point on.

Really ? This thread again ? It is a PvP zone, PvP happens in PvP zones. There are several other way to complete the achievement that do not include JP’s.

First it is a WvW zone if it were PvP I would not see so many nerf food, dire op, and assorted WvW isolated complaints.

Onto the main topic anywhere there are both Jumping Puzzles (and achievement for completing them) and the potential for Players to conflict with each other there will be people that will want to camp them.

Your confusing PvP with SPvP, it is a player vs. player zone, just as WvW is also a Player vs. player zone. As in a zone where you fight other player among other things.

Plenty of fights down here in NA, seen some pretty big blobs, lots of guild groups and plenty of roamers.

Do something else, you do not HAVE to do the JP’s to complete the achievement.

This would be a good idea, the only thieves that would complain are the ones who have relied on 2-3 abilities for so long they do not realize they have several ways to close that gap without normal movement.

Wow, how did you not realize this was going to go bad when you started blaming individuals and other servers.

Denial is a terrible recruitment method.

Actually there is nothing unfair about it, if your in dire need of transfers you will free fall to an affordable price, if your stuck in the 200 gold range … you do not need transfers. If you happen to be one of the bottom 3 for gold and that is what your issue is, you still do not need transfers, blame Anet for allowing the stacking and then increasing the server caps to let them stack more.

To summarize, you do not need transfers, server’s should never have been capable of stacking to the point that they are (again this would not have happened without increased caps).

Bottom line is those T1 servers would not have the constant coverage to dominate the T2 server’s if server caps were left in place. 100% ignorance and lack of fore sight on Anets part.

Limited time left, man for man AR would destroy any server in GW2 (mags would be the challenge) time for all you transfer people to choose, do you want to own or be owned ?

Have to agree, if you want a strong NA presence it’s AR or bust, many of the other bronze have NA numbers but strong is certainly not the word for them !

I bought guild wars 2, I looked at the top ranking server (Jade Quarry), and I joined it. Not sure why everyone didn’t do the same.

Because its a misconception that rank = skill, if anything the top ranks have less skill because its purely a numbers/coverage game. Yes I have played up there and yes I found the general game play as far as player skill lacking. Enjoy your stay on JQ have fun mashing 1.

There is plenty of guilds recruiting, I believe Vale is recruiting, and is a larger guild. TBT also recruits if your open to criticism and willing to build appropriately. Thats just 3 off the top of my head, I’m sure all would take Mesmers !

Very much like the Sharknado but the Mudernado is so much more vicious, theMurdernado actually feeds on Sharknado’s in preparation for war.

With free transfers ending today it is the last chance for any who may be considering a move to do so with little to no cost.

I would like to invite you to Anvil Rock, we have received some transfers but could use more in all time slots. We have a great chance to compete with the highest ranked server’s of bronze.

AR was a T5 server, we suffered some player losses which through us down to the bottom. We since have come around and rebuilt and are an extremely competitive server. Our community is growing daily, I’m not going to try an wow you with rainbows and cupcakes, what I will tell you is AR is a strong server with some of the best players I have seen through my journey’s on upper tiers, mid tiers and low tiers.

We do not give up because we are outnumbered, in fact we have made taking on superior numbers an art form. We have earned the respect of many of the server in bronze (and arguably silver that have had the opportunity to face us in the past) through our never say die attitude and the ability to accomplish what we have regardless of numbers. In turn many of those server’s have earned our respect for not only being talented players but also for the kind words they spread about our server and our skill.

If you want to be part of a server that you can ride numbers to the finish line with, there are plenty of those around however, if you want to be part of a server that will leave a wake of bodies on our climb to the top then AR is most definitely the server for you. I guess the real question you need to ask yourselves is, do you want to collect loot or do you want to become loot, if its the latter then AR is not for you.

Make no mistake AR is going to “have fun storming the castle” and we would like to have any of you looking to transfer to join us in doing so.

Good Luck to all of Bronze, but words of warning, hide your women and children and lock the vaults, AR’s coming for you.

Not going to bullkitten, AR is mostly a PvE server and lately we’ve had a slow WvWvW game…but this server accomplishes a lot with the numbers we do pull. If you’re looking for a amazing WvWvW server, AR is not for you. If you’re looking for a close community that bands together to exceed expectations constantly then give Anvil Rock a try.

Whoa there, AR is everything but a PvE server, there is a reason people do not guest here for PvE (other then those BP guys but that is only because they miss us). The server is most definitely the server for you if you are looking for Awesome WvW, we pride ourselves on taking on superior numbers and winning.

Man up and join AR.

Even when those map Zergs happen AR is the server that charges in head first, why would u be afraid of free loot when theres almost no chance of losing ?

The transfers help and it seems bronze is shaping up to be the most competitive, if we could get our hands on a couple oceanic/sea guilds to help Zero then every time zone in bronze would fear AR.

Running away isn’t an option, killing superior numbers is what AR does, just think of the other servers as walking loot bags, why would anyone run from a loot bag let alone several loot bags.

If I were to transfer I would transfer to GoM, great community and very fun server to fight.

Because if they say one thing and some issue turns up that will not allow it to be released by then people will rage like mad.
A bit like how people raged like mad when it wasn’t released with EotM (and that wasn’t even confirmed to be the planned release date).

Does it matter ? People are mad now, what they are doing is a complete lack of respect for their player base. Devons to chicken kitten to step in and communicate with the WvW community about anything. The CDI threads feel like he has been forced to be there and even then barely participates.

Why does this guy still have a job ?

I guess killing the guy leading the charge is out of the question ? Its really not that big of a deal, there are far worse issues then being able to see the Commander Buff to complain about.

Hey all,

So I sent this thread to the dev team to get some answers for you, and here’s what we’ve got!

When the tournament starts, world ratings are used to sort the initial matchups. This will include the results of the match ending on March 28th.

Matchups will not function in the same manner as they did in Season 1; The initial round of the tournament will match the worlds in each league according to their world rating. After that round has ended, worlds will be matched up according to how many points they have in the tournament. This will continue after each round, which means that the matchups are not predetermined but are dependent upon the results of the previous matchups. If two teams have the same number of points, the team with the higher world rating will be considered the higher seed for the purposes of the matchup. Matchups will continue to match worlds that are close to each other in performance, rather than following a predetermined schedule – which will make for much more exciting and competitive matches. (I stole that from Devon’s blog :P)

Match-end bonus world chests will continue to exist on a weekly basis; 3 for 1st, 2 for 2nd, 1 for 3rd. Additionally, every unlocked achievement in the WvW Tournament category will yield a reward. The overall tournament rewards (tickets), however, will not be distributed until the conclusion of the Tournament.

Hopefully that clears up some confusion!

You can understand the concern ? I mean DR freaked out because 1 TBT went on your forums, I’m sure DR would have been screeming spy if one of us showed up on DR tagged up. I’m sure no offence was intended, the fact that you came and explained yourself and intention instead of going all forum frenzy like kyro speaks volumes. It happened, both sides should just move on. No harm no foul.

Not from Kain but I would suggest talking to whomever seems to command in WvW on a regular basis and/or find a guild that either does both PvE and WvW or just WvW. Most guilds in WvW want to succeed so they are more then willing to help the newer folks. I’m sure theres a Kain commander you can contact,

Since this is a recruitment thread for AR and not a place to air out any dirty laundry, let me say that AR is a solid group of good fighters in the Bronze league. If you are making the move to AR you will be in good company as they are incredibly persistent, well organized and creative in open field. Coming from HoD in DR we always have a good time fighting them, and much respect to TBT, Inc, and zero to name a few. If you are already transferring to AR you will not be disappointed.

Thanks friend, I’m not sure if your from HoD or DR both have my respect, all servers have a bad egg or two, unfortunately its just the reality of every server.

I think alvinjason is from Kain Dov, and is saying Kain had a guy transfer to their server as well for “fun”.

@ alvinjason Whether they are there for fun or free transfers or whatever you can bet your kitten at some point our movements and numbers were being reported, when the match is as close as it is there is no excuse.

I don’t blame DR for the actions of these two and actually have some respect for DR for taking care of it for us but I now have ZERO respect for those two guilds. I’m sorry but I don’t buy the “oh they were just there for fun and free transfers” excuse, they weren’t in a remote area fighting friends, no, they were always within proximity of our main forces.

They can use every excuse in the book until they are blue in the face but the fact remains they were there to relay info.

This isn’t really a topic for our recruitment thread though, the issue has been dealt with as far as I know.

Its sucks but I agree they can’t make exceptions, your not the first server to go through this, maybe during seasons but many of servers suffered much worse while having the same transfer cost as you guys had while in T1. You should be thankful you will not have to go through that because its pretty kitten hard to work your way back up when T1 costs the same as T8.

I don’t understand what you think is going to happen ? There will still be cookie cutter spec’s, they may use a different trait set but don’t fool yourself there will always be dominant spec’s.

Oh I understand the difference, I even applaud those that don’t use cookie cutter but adding new traits doesn’t mean all of a sudden cookie cutters will go away and everyone will be running unique special snowflake builds.

Why would we “want” this game to fail, you have the same mind set as Anet, we don’t complain and kick and scream because we don’t care, we do it because we do care. Unfortunately Anet seems to think we do all this just because we decided today was the day I’m going to complain about X and that is my plan for the day. They refuse to communicate, that is their doing not ours. Sometimes some simple communication goes along way. Their we don’t owe you guys anything attitude will kill them more then any other game that comes out.

Why would they be in touch with us, they have made it very clear that they know what we want and we have no idea what that is.
