Just make it stationary, 3/4 of the QQ are because they can chase you down while firing, any Ranger with a shred of skill won’t be affected by this. Now if your one of the baddies who believes RF is the be all end all of Ranger and this would ruin the class you can kindly kitten off and go kittenize another class.

A Warrior could work well with a Ranger but honestly with a Power Ranger and a Thief, you shouldn’t really be losing to warriors and guardians all that often.
TBH as a Ranger I think its great, OP ? yup but here’s the thing, I play Condi and don’t use a LB so when I see a LB Ranger I know its an easy kill 99% of the time. This one ability being the way it is has made every nub out there think they can play Rangers, mash #2, and win. They are completely lost when its on CD or when you interrupt, for someone like myself who roams solo this is a good thing and many of bags have been donated due to the ignorance of most Rangers out there.
Now if you put it in the hands of a capable player that actually realizes he/she has more then 1 attack then I 100% agree that its completely broken and needs to be toned down. Those players are so few and far between though that I’m really not overly concerned.
For the sake of argument though, I could get on board with it being a stationary ability, like you said its really no different then 100 blades, also Ele’s if they could cast Rain of Fire on the move would make it dumb. You need to realize though, you as an Engineer should not be able to block everything while running away either, that ability should also be stationary.

It really depends on your build type, I play condi and find it more then suitable. I’m going to be 100% honest here, when I go Long Bow I do it for giggles because currently its pretty kitten OP, if they gave a LB Ranger the ability to port around ontop of it, it would be kitten near god mode.
I know people hate this phrase and comes off rude but it really is a L2P issue. Every class doesn’t have to have ports, or whatever ability people think their class should have that another does. The only place in this game that I personally find Rangers lacking is in Large scale (20-25 man) organized (<<—Key Word) WvW because they lack the group support/condi cleanses, another class can do it better basically. Even with this said, 1 Ranger can be beneficial for a Driver Snipe.
I love my Ranger, and if Anet wants to give me God Mode I’ll take but we certainly don’t need it.
I personally think for WvW they should have just rotated the scores for each server and watched the players flip out. It would be a good laugh to way the winning servers go into over drive because they think the are losing all of a sudden, not to mention the QQ would be glorious!

This is a player problem not a game mechanic problem. Anet can’t go in and force people to charge less, if your unhappy about the pricing, take some time and go farm the mats and make your own.

You do realize I played closed beta for both GW1 and 2 ? No of course you don’t, that would have required you to ask a question instead of presuming you had a clue.
Not going to lie, I’m a bit disappointed that after beta testing GW1, then GW2 that a long time customer was not given access to the HoT beta. I won’t lose any sleep over it but it is a slap in the face.
Please tell me its not true that they only have 3 trait lines which focus on Condi and no power trait line.
I could see giving defenders of say “Fire Keep” a resistance along the lines of takes 20% or less damage from fire attacks, but if I’m reading what your saying correctly they are giving people immunity which is beyond dumb. Certain classes and builds are built to focus on certain damage types, You (Anet) have said yourselves you want variety, this is taking away that variety and forcing players into cookie cutter specs so they can enjoy part of the game without having their character neutered.
Personally, its not a case of finding a new tactic, its a case of making melee boring kittenters. Some people enjoy melee some enjoy ranged, both should be just as viable instead of doing some kitten patch they should have put some thought into balancing classes better over the last 3 years.
Every game mode in GW2 leaves certain classes as the red headed step child, its not just WvW, PvE, TPvP, it doesn’t matter nerfing stability is a lazy way to try and balance something they had ample time to correct.

If it were as easy as the blob nerds make it out to be there is no reason a blob should have ever lost, I mean all it take is hit stab and mash 1 right ? So with their superior numbers there is no reason they couldn’t pop stab and mash 1 followed by profit.

I think they have to change the way ACs work. Obstacles should stop arrows. It is ridiculous that you can place ACs directly in front of a wall target the wall and hit targets behind the wall. ACs should work like other siege weapons launching projectiles: obstacles stop the projectiles.
But they are magic arrows !
Bets on half those players don’t even have their weapon skills unlocked.
Server merge (which is needed anyway) would be a much better solution to the population issue that removal of existing content – which only brought player grief in the past (cough Living Story) and caused a lot of people to quit the game.
There are some of us who don’t wish to play jumping puzzles. We can either stay content in EB and Alpine or leave GW2 completely.
Why do people wish for queue’s ? The problem isn’t “prime” time (for most servers), it is everything else. Server merging will just make even more people in prime time, and no change in everything else.
Merge’s wouldn’t create Queues on every server, there would still be lower populations (unless Anet went full kittened and merged everything into 3 servers). Here’s the thing, I personally understand some people like smaller populations for roaming or whatever their reason may be but, keeping a dead server active because the 2 people on that server like it that way is not good for business. At some point they will need to merge servers and those few people who love having no one to play with or against will either have to come to the realization that Anet is a business that needs to do whats best for the business or they can quit.
Right now if you go to any server T4 and under you can easily roam solo or small man without getting steam rolled by a blob every 10 min. That right there tells me that 1/2 the servers are dying a slow death. Sure the xpac will bring some players back and some might even stick around for the long haul but I down its going to rejuvenate all 24 servers.
I was kinda thinking they would be more along the lines of Gw1 Guild Halls which were used for GvG.
SoS has the most bearable Queues in T2 atm, the rest is a kitten show.

The problem is the constant stacking in attempts to create a fight tier. Now don’t get me wrong I love fights and the idea of a fight tier but when there is 4 T2 servers that are miles ahead of any server that could land in T3 it causes issues for those below T2, and the T2 server that gets tossed down.
It’s the same reason FA is currently T1.5, I never understood why all the fight guild stack only T2, would it not make more sense to stack 6 server vs 3-4 ? If both T2 & T3 were full of the fight guilds they would have a revolving door of match ups, dropping down to T3 wouldn’t affect their ability to find fight (causing them to move furthering the damage to T2).
Fights are great, I agree with this, I don’t care for PPT but having 6 servers revolving the fights vs 3-4, would make life better for everyone in those two tiers … well except the PPT heroes.

All I’m saying is, there is more then enough “Fight Guilds” to spread them selves across 6 servers instead of 3. Maybe I’m way off base here but it seems to me that it would make more sense to cover the 6 servers, small to zero Queue times, dropping a Tier wouldn’t hurt your ability to fight, kitten jamming would not be as frequent, and you wouldn’t be fighting the same guilds week in and week out. The PPT heroes on each server could hump as much siege as they wanted without fear of being locked in Queue.
Its like any professional sports league, 6 teams would be better then 3-4.

[TBT] Black Tides, is recruiting on FA. Our main focus is WvW, though we do a bit of everything. Currently we’re looking for Guard’s, Necro’s, Warr’s, & Ele’s to fill our ranks. Accepting new and experienced players. We have a personal arena we hold frequent training sessions in for guild mates.
We are an organized guild that has just recently moved to FA, we have made a name for ourselves through out Bronze and Silver and now it is time to make a name in Gold.
[TBT] Started on AR and quickly became a dominating force in the Bronze Tiers, after some time we decided to leave AR in search of a bigger and better experience. We found a home on DR, again we quickly became a dominating force in the Silver Tiers. It was decided that we were going to take a break from GW2 and try out AA (Arche Age). After a couple months on AA we were the biggest and most organized guild on our server, many of us grew tired of AA and decided it was time to make our return to GW2. We returned and joined GoM for a couple weeks where we quickly realized we were no longer interested in fighting in Bronze/Silver Tiers. The decision to make the move to FA was an easy one for us. Throughout our time we have consistently become the dominating force, it was time for us to join the big boys and make a name for ourselves in T2.
We are loving the challenges we’re facing from other guilds in T2, we need some more recruits to fill our ranks so we are capable of fighting the larger guilds in open field and can accommodate GvG requests at the drop of a hat. We are looking to raid at least 4 nights a week and usually run late NA prime (start running between 9-10 pm EST)

I would buy this and so would many of my guild mates but tbh the color scheme you picked is hideous. If it were available in different colors (Black, White, Blue, Red) you would probably have a lot more sales of this item. As it stands the brown … why would you choose a color that doesn’t match 90% of other color schemes ? I won’t be purchasing the gems for this until its available in a shade/color that doesn’t make me want to gouge my eyes out.

A little bit of history, We originally formed on Anvil Rock where our guild quickly made a name for our selves as an organized well oiled machine of destruction. After some time and lack of players to fight we moved to Devona’s Rest. On DR we continued to rise in the ranks earning respect from our server mates and enemies alike.
We took a break from GW2 to play Arche Age, after a few months some of our members have decided to return to GW2. We chose GoM because we not only had many friends there but throughout our match ups we always had a great time fighting GoM and found them to be a great server full of respectful and competent players.

Lol why remove it, sure they need to make it more viable but remove ? No. Currently the smaller servers use this to see where they are … gasp …. Outmanned, this allows them to react accordingly which in many cases is futile anyways when facing much larger forces. Why would anyone want to give the larger forced MORE of an advantage, mind boggling that some people just can’t grasp this.
Just ignore Krall, he has his head so far up their kitten he can’t actually see just how much Anet kittens all over its WvW player base. He will be the last one playing this kittennado of a game and still think their doing a fine job.
Someone sell this fool a bridge or maybe the empire state building, I can guarantee he will pay and actually believe he owns it.
Lol whatever, can’t say I’m shocked, this game had the tri faction open world pvp in the palm of their hand, all they had to do was pay attention and even that was to much for them to handle.

Can we really assume that the new colored tags are specifically designed for WvW, instead of being added for PvE? I mean, it’s important to keep the PuGs for The Wurm following the correct tag, never mind ensuring no one other than select players can see their leader for Guild Missions.

Here’s point – it’s not so the PUGs know who to follow .. couldn’t care less to be honest. It’s so that each dedicated WvW player will know which tag they elected to follow and not get confused by seeing 2 or 3 or more tags milling around.
Yes, I know that I can join a commander’s squad and thus stop seeing the other tags. But it would be useful to be able to see where the other tags are and be able to distinguish who is where. The colours will make that possible.

I acknowledged that it would be helpful to coordinate, my point is its really not going to change anything except for the 1 or 2 clueless people on a map that can’t stay on the right Comm. If your server has that many people (pugs included) constantly following the wrong tag, well … I would be looking for a new home.

It’s not a panacea and I agree 100% with implementing private guild tags; make it an “Art of War” guild upgrade, even.
At this point, though, it’s less about the colored tags themselves and more the principle of the thing. Namely, it’s an opportunity for ArenaNet to demonstrate they actually give a kitten about WvW by giving us something we’ve been asking for since beta. A show of good faith, if you will.
Honestly, at this point, there may truly not be enough players left in WvW any longer for it to be worthwhile for multiple commanders to tag up on the same map; making multi-colored tags kind of pointless now. Another example of ArenaNet’s procrastination in their effort to make it “perfect” being counter-productive; a case of too-little-too-late.
However, it’s at least something and – if they continue with additional improvements above and beyond this simple change – then their show of good faith will have been worth it if it salvages their relationship with the WvW community. But there’s a long road ahead and colored commander tags will be but a first step along that road. Let’s hope they’re up to continuing the journey beyond just that first step.
We already know Anet is notorious for ignoring WvW and what little we get, no one asked for or is so craptastic that no one cares. If we start settling for less this will become the norm.
Theres nothing wrong with colors but it is only half of what we asked for, I personally am sick of half that apparently took almost year to add some kittening color … think about that a year to add color. No, that is not good enough, we asked for color and private options how hard could that really be that they couldn’t manage it within a year ? If you want to settle for less then by all means, thats your choice but I will not, when they had plenty of time to get this minor change done. In terms of game programming, yes, this is a very minor change.

I’m not sure where all the Queue talk is coming from, maybe on Reset and that is a big maybe we can queue 3 maps but every other day of the week the only map I ever see Queue’d is EB. Guilds map hop without issue, usually we can get the majority of our guild in EB in a moments notice with maybe a 15 man queue, so all this talk about Queue’s is not exactly accurate.
DR is a fun server, very little drama, we have fun and we have decent coverage. Everyone on the server new and old have been great about keeping the server non toxic. I’ve been on a few different servers throughout my travels trying to find a home that made the game enjoyable and DR is by far the least toxic server I have had the pleasure of being part of.

Your suggesting we (DR) cleared you (FC) out, we received 1 guild from you (FC) where the others went has nothing to do with us (DR). I hope this helps you.

The gold I can’t answer for. The so called bandwagon, maybe 3-4 small guilds. Roaming is good on the BL’s. EB, you will prob get ganked. There is a lot of duel in EB also.

If you want roaming, I’m not going to tell you to join FC. We’re in the process of rebuilding. You will see more hardcore dedicated havoc squads in FC than anything now since most of us left to go bandwagon DR. That being said, I wouldn’t join DH or NSP were I a player looking to roam. To blob tier 7 and 8 perhaps, but not roam. Honestly man, just go to FA. I hear good things from my friends there.

This wont be the first or last game that failed to recognise the #1 killer of MMO’s.
Well all these ideas are fine but you really need to start at the root, hire people that have real passion and are not oblivious. Then realise what the end game really is, focus on that and improve it.
The bottom line is Anet had the market cornered with the 3 way battle system that so many were looking for, they completely dropped the ball. Instead of becoming the game people will continue to play they have become the time filler until a new game comes out.

I agree to an extent, if I’m on my staff Ele and trying to meet up with the guild when I get jumped, I’m going to try and escape/run because my build is not designed to fight 1 vs. X, its designed to compliment what the guild needs.
Now with that said, if I’m out roaming during off guild hours and I engage an enemy I will stick around until I die that is unless I see a zerg running up then ya I’m out. There is nothing worse then a “roamer” that runs from a fair fight the moment they start to lose, I’m not talking about kiting to gain some CD ect I’m talking about running like a kitten. If you are roaming and looking for fights, man up and die when things don’t go your way, its not like repairs cost anything.
People tell you to follow a commander because zerg surfing is your best chance to get all the POI’s, Vista’s ect ect. This doesn’t mean they are just running a train to get that stuff, there is a point to WvW that has nothing to do with map completion and most Commanders are working towards this whether its fighting for PPT or fighting the enemy.
