/love would be a very creepy emote
“X makes love to Y.”
Do you even lift, bro?
Having him either survive or return as a Risen enemy would somewhat diminish the epicness of the conclusion of his Legend.
Do you even lift, bro?
That was not the question. The question was whether or not they can soak the damage, which they can with the right Traits/Gear.
Do you even lift, bro?
When they are asexual? Apart from the fact that players need the ability to pick one in order not to feel shafted vs the other races?
Do you even lift, bro?
Do dungeons.
Get the Karma flasks from the Wondrous Bags.
Wait until you have a bunch of them (100+ or something).
Find a Karma Guild Banner, eat some Karma Food and if you can afford the luxury a Karma Booster.
Then down them all in one go!
Do you even lift, bro?
That’d be pretty cool actually.
+1

“Firstly, we’ll be adding paid server transfers, with time limitations and WvW restrictions, and guestingability, which allows players to visit friends on other servers in every part of the game except for WvW. To encourage players to stick with a single server for WvW and fight for the pride of that server, server changes will incur a fee and have time limitations. Second, we’ll make improvements to culling.”
This, I do not like. Everyone who is on a horrible server will be much worse of if you clamp down on server transfers. I expect to see lots and lots of people fleeing these servers now “before it is too late” and the transfers both become paid for and incur some sort of penalty to boot!
Jump ship while you can!
Even crushing is the fact that I don’t find anything in that blog post discussing server imbalance. I expect servers like Fissure of Woe will be empty very soon if you go through with this.

Anet – I’ll buy and spend gems for you to NOT do this.
^pretty much this.
Do you even lift, bro?
Seriously, I am getting tons of them over trivial matters (last time I got one for "inapproriate formatting – what the kitten is that supposed to mean?) but no matter. I’m not here to whine about that.
I just want to ask a simple question: are they permanent? I’ve already been temporarily banned due to your overzealous moderators and I’d hate to somehow get myself permanently banned due to the accumulation of these Infractions.
Thank you.

Whenever you hug her, you are in marshmallow heaven.
In more than one way as you’d probably be crushed to death!
Do you even lift, bro?
Mazel tov, today you are a man!
Do you even lift, bro?
There is no tanking in this game. Theres control, but no tanking. Guardians cannot sit and soak up 100% of the damage from all the mobs all of the time, warriors cannot do it either.
what is this tanking?
Guardians can definitely do it when specced right.
Do you even lift, bro?
The Critical Hit Chance does increase.
It is a visual bug only.
Same problem with the 5%+ Critical Hit Chance Sigil (I forget the name).
Do you even lift, bro?
Ahahaha! That’s the most apt comparison ever! The Sylvari are the Ultramarines of Guild Wars 2! Bloody brilliant!
Trahearne Guilliman, Patriarch of the Sylvarimarines.
Do you even lift, bro?
The Blue whale is the biggest living thing on the plant, yet human still pose a huge threat it it.
That’s not really a good comparison. Unless you mean one single human leaping out of his whaling ship and going toe-to-toe with the blue whale. I have my doubts the human would swim away victorious from that.
Do you even lift, bro?
I totally agree with this thread! Much of the charr Tribal feeling is lost in GW2’s armour. I think ther can be much done here. Love the charr race!
That’s the point, isn’t it? The Charr you see in Guild Wars 2 are not the same Charr you saw as savage enemies in the original.
Do you even lift, bro?
Long story short: It was implied to be possible for Norns/Humans to have children in GW, then refuted and stated to be impossible in GW 2. On a related note:
DEATH BY SNOO-SNOO!
Do you even lift, bro?
How does his skin matter? If he has the ability to merge various corpses, of course there’s going to be some sort of skin-like membrane covering them all to keep them together.
Just look at his hands: one is huge and one is tiny. Obviously taken from different dragons!
Do you even lift, bro?
All in all I am happy I gave manbirth to such a lively and interesting discussion.
Do you even lift, bro?
Take a look at Eir’s home in Hoelbrak – there is a statute of the Norn who invented Norn beer. Now there’s a Norn who will be remembered through-out the ages!
Do you even lift, bro?
Shouts, for one.
For Great Justice is always welcome because few classes have such easy access to Fury as Warriors.
Do you even lift, bro?
Give it a couple of decades.
Soon enough we will all speak Chinese, trust me…
Do you even lift, bro?
Wurms in GW 2 are overgrown worms.
Not related to dragons at all.
Do you even lift, bro?
You’re still technically downed, with all the benefits/penalties that provides.
Do you even lift, bro?
W*u*rm.
Not w*y*rm.
Wurms are not related to dragons.
Do you even lift, bro?
As long as you eat the bird parts and not the human parts I guess it is alright.
Sorta like how you’d want to eat the horse parts but not the human parts on Centaurs!
Do you even lift, bro?
You mean On My Mark!? Well, it is kinda hard to mark something you can’t see :S
Do you even lift, bro?
Risen don’t “die”: they are “destroyed” – their bodies are hacked/slashed/smashed/toasted/roasted/impaled/pierced and smushed to oblivion.
Y’know, standard anti-zombie procedure.
Do you even lift, bro?
In all honesty though, I really wish the beards would be a bit wider and longer. Looking at the older Norn models from GW1, the beard almost looks to go around the head, a full 360 degrees.
Do you even lift, bro?

Look at that. What a glorious mane. Much awesomer than the dinky beards we can choose from now.
Do you even lift, bro?
I’m relieved. Anets seems to at the very least be aware of what the issue is; mobs not worth killing.
Do you even lift, bro?
Wow the resolution on that Halloween skin is uber crappy. Especially in comparison to that sweet, sweet T3 armour!
Do you even lift, bro?
I guess it all narrows down to your interpretation of resisted.
Do you even lift, bro?
There you go using that word again:
Harder.
It isn’t hard. The only “hard” part in HoTW right now is Aldus Stormbringer because of his infinite adds, but even so there are bosses far harder than him in other dungeons, and to a lesser extent Sorge because of his Barracudas (if you’re short on underwater AoE).
Rest of it is just beating on the same beastie for nearly 15 minutes. Not hard, not challenging and definitely not fun.
Do you even lift, bro?
Pfft. They’re just Dredge. Which of the races does not bully them one time or another?
:D
Do you even lift, bro?
You would willing roll under a Charr? Kitten got claws! Huge rending talons!
Do you even lift, bro?
I’d rather just focus on Power/Precision/Crit Damage for those huge Arcing Arrow burst criticals. The Burning is a nice bonus, but I would never stack Condition Damage just because of it.
Do you even lift, bro?
There’s a norn in Wayfarer Foothills who holds a vendetta against dredge for no reason and actively goes to give them pain and suffering. He has an event chain around him, where he creates nauseous gas by burning smelly flowers in a dredge mine, all to provoke them into fighting him.
I didn’t know that’s peaceful!
Well Dredge and Norn are sort of a special case. Due to Jormag driving the Norn south, they are in direct competition with the Dredge for land. That’s why a lot of Norn task hearts revolve around bullying Dredge in one way or another, lol
Do you even lift, bro?
The main things I considered when I made this post is that Norn are obviously the most barbaric race but at the same time they don’t really do anything that is worse than the other races.
How about no?
Charr society is far more barbaric than Norns. It is pretty much based on waging constant and total war; if Charr don’t have an exterior enemy their society collapses into infighting and civil war pretty much. That’s plenty savage and barbaric.
Do you even lift, bro?
Take a look at the old Norns and their mighty beards
http://wiki.guildwars.com/images/7/7d/Jora%27s_Curse_cinematic_still.jpg
I want that on my Norn! That’s not a simple beard, it is a glorious man mane!
Do you even lift, bro?
I’m pretty sure that Jormag’s Champion tried to corrupt Jora together with Svanir, but was only able to turn him. In the cinematic she says “I resisted the power, and was cursed by it. I cannot embrace the wild. I can no longer become the bear.”
Perhaps Norn women (maybe even women in general) are immune to Jormag’s brand of corruption!
Do you even lift, bro?
Actually, it is there to stay.
“Improve the dungeon” is just what they did.
Do you even lift, bro?
Sylvari have a chance of this while Norn are pretty guarenteed.
No they are not. Only a few select Norn (like our player characters) choose the adventuring life. As stated again and again in this thread, the majority of Norns are content with living a peaceful life, enjoying the bounty of the land.
Or are we gonna start comparing hunting animals for food/hide to the Human/Charr war machines now? lol
Do you even lift, bro?
With asterisk noted above. Is running HOTW path 2 sub 30 min considered par?
If you have to have people in full Berseker’s to do it in the same time “normally geared” people do other dungeons it is hardly on par.
Do you even lift, bro?
That is to say it isn’t on par.
Gotcha.
Do you even lift, bro?
Not to mention that lore-wise, Norns are über strong as well. Far stronger than a human of their size would be.
Do you even lift, bro?
ok so what about heightened focus? the dev only said it works for the sigil
It’s the same deal. Supposedly just a visual bug.
Do you even lift, bro?
I also heard axes are pretty great, so I tried out axe/sword. I didn’t try axe/axe because I’ve heard axe offhand is not that great, but I’m finding axe in mainhand doesn’t really keep up with bleed damage, unless I’m really missing something.
Warriors are a profession that tends to rely on Power/Precision more than Condition damage, with the Sword being the only melee weapon that leans more towards Condition damage.
Do you even lift, bro?
(edited by Oglaf.1074)
I think it has been stated a few times by Devs that it is just a visual bug. I guess we’ll have to trust them on that, eh?
