I also don’t think Norn had a well developed writing system either. One of the discussions in Hoelbrak is about recording legends into books, and whether or not that’d be disrespectful.

But whatever the reason, I’m certain that once they become corrupted by Jormag’s power and become Icebrood, a Son of Svanir’s goals align with that of his Master, and their previous beliefs cease to matter.
I’m not too sure about that. Whenever you interact with the Sons in charge, who have become Icebrood, like the three end bosses in Honour of The Waves, they still spout the Sons propaganda. They seem to still cling to the belief that Jormag is Dragon, the ultimate Spirit of the Wild.
But perhaps they were given more of a free will than ordinary Icebrood in order to allowed them to recruit more Norns, who knows.

Minor problem? Hardly. At times it is even game-breaking.
Hordes of Elementalists (they really are the flavour of the month in WvW) coming to defend the keep your attacking. You can’t stop them entering and they can harass you without fear of reprisal as long as they are within running distance to the gate portal.
It really shouldn’t allow you to enter the portals. No other class can pull this cheesy move off. It is imbalanced.

The drop rate of the Badges in “actual” WvW participation is laughably bad. They should either make them a guaranteed drop for killing players or taking objectives. Or just go all the way and rename them Badges of_Jumping_!

4 is an Immobilize and 5 is a repeated Knockback, which helps. I prefer the Spear anyhow.

There is however the discussion of whether or not the Elder Dragons are evil. To me, in order to be evil there must be the notion of good. I don’t think the Elder Dragons know good nor evil. They simply act as Elder Dragons do, with no bias towards our morals.

Personally I see nothing wrong in smashing and slashing at an Elder Dragon with our dinky little weapons. In Hoelbrak there is a pretty good piece of evidence that they can be harmed (and probably killed) that way.

I disagree. Norns as a whole are pretty kitten peaceful. Their civilization is relatively peaceful compared to the rest. The majority of Norns are just a bunch of hunters and gatherers.
You can’t compare the desire for individual Norns to forge their legend to the organized and large-scale warfare of the Human and Charr civilizations; they thrive on war, conquering lands and stuff. Norns don’t do that… currently. There are no Norn Legions, there is no Norn equivalent of the Seraph or any of the military organizations of the other races. There is just a very limited and localized force (have you ever seen a Wolfborn outside of Hoelbrak?) of peacekeepers like the Wolfborn.

It is not one Elementalist. By my count they are the most popular class (perhaps tied with Thieves…) in WvW. You always face tons of them, and when they are all in essence immortal when defending a keep… it is no fun. Something has to be done to balance the down states across the classes really. Which is why I jokingly said “Either remove Vapour Form or give it to all the classes.”

Elementalists need the ability, especially in dungeons if they get caught by a stray attack or something. I don’t really want it removed, of course. Just that in WvW it is really overpowered due to the ability to flee into keeps. Something has to change.

You also forget all the stuff that is immune to Bleeds(and other Conditions) that exists out there. For example, bringing a Condition-speced anything gimps your group horribly in AC Exploration Path 3 due to all the Graveling Burrows you have to knock out on that path.

I’ve never been able to test that either. Not even with our most powerful heal, Adrenal Surge, can’t we realistically get full Health due to being still locked in combat.

I’ve never lived long enough to activate it and try it out.
Unlike Vapour Form, you have to wait for Vengeance to charge up before using it, which means you’re dead before you can use it.
Regardless, when Vengeance ends you die. When Vapour Form ends, you get downed again and can Bandage yourself.
Considering those two factors, you can’t compare Vengeance to Vapour Form.

And the auto-attack from Axe does far more damage than the whirl ever would. It is rarely worth using at all. With a little maneuvering you can hit a lot of targets with the auto-attack as well.

As far as I know, Norns aren’t involved in any large scale conflicts like the Humans (Anti-treaty rebels and Centaurs) or the Charr (civil war against the Flame Legion). Even the Sylvari are actively working against the Nightmare Court. One could call it a war, I suppose.
Asura and Norn really are more peaceful, mainly because they are not in an all-out war against their enemy faction: Asura are somewhat tolerant towards the Inquest and the Norn are somewhat accepting of the Sons’ right to worship Jormag as Dragon.

A warrior gets downed and he is bummed. The Warrior downed skillset is trash. An Elementalist can actually take advantage of getting downed in order to run into the keep.
