I wish we had the option to choose to wear any version of a skin on our characters, to use the animations of the opposite gender

So for my Warrior I am using this accessory from the event. It gives you 25 of each statistic for a whooping total of 150 stat points, plus 3% Crit damage and Magic Find. I slapped an Exquisite Ruby in there for an additional 25 Power, 15 Precision and 3% Crit damage.
Am I really just fooling myself thinking it is Best In Slot™ …? Or anyone else love it as much as I do?

They speak common with each other, so I would guess no?
Unless GW goes all Star Trek-y with everyone using an invisible Universal Translator and all the races are actually speaking their own language.
Do you even lift, bro?
If anything this thread brings a tear to my eyes because it shows that on at least this issue, the Warrior community comes together and agrees!
Do you even lift, bro?
Maybe actually fight on them. Zhaitan sure looked big enough for us to be able to have some fun on his back. Perhaps fight some Risen living on him like fleas and attack “power points” on his body to weaken him before the laser salvo.
That would’ve been awesome.
Do you even lift, bro?
It is not entirely his fault, but the part he plays in the story. True. However, the fact that he is such a horrible character doesn’t exactly elevate the problem.
Do you even lift, bro?
I’m keeping my fingers crossed for Jormag, personally.
Do you even lift, bro?
For example: Why the heck do charr females have a “breast cloth” when they clearly have no breasts, and thus no actual reason to conceal their chests?
She may not have breasts, but there are rows of visible nipples there as with all felines.
Er, no, their mammary glands are hidden under the fur.
No reason to cover something that we can’t see to begin with.
But I can see my kitties nipples all the times
Very much possible in short hair breeds. Y’know, the ones Charr are modeled after?

Good luck eating dwarves and ghosts!

Warriors can with a Trait. Has a nice shockwave animation to it on impact and the ground gets all cracked.

Adrenaline should act more like rage like on other mmorpgs.
No no no no no no no and no again.
Absolutely not.

At least you have the Mentors; three characters who are widely regarded as the better of all the GW 2 NPCs.

Until lvl 35 everything is pretty bland and boring. Then you can shell out 3g for the first cultural armour set.

See that red symbol next to a thread when a Dev replies? Wouldn’t it be swell if you could just click it an automatically be taken to said Dev reply in the thread?
I think so. I am very interested in hearing what you guys have to say, but I can’t really be bothered to look through page after page trying to find that red nugget.
Do you even lift, bro?
Still wish they at least added coats like Liu’s if they’re gonna keep forcing them onto us Thieves. Show off some of my Sylvari’s glowyness.
Not sure if man.
Or really flat-chested woman.

Is Sunrise the only legendary weapon to have that effect or is it something all legendary weapons do?
They all do. Look ’em up on the Wiki: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Legendary

The Norns time in the spotlight will come.
Just you wait till they make us able to take on Jormag!
Do you even lift, bro?
AHAHAHAHA! I can’t believe I missed the most obvious thing:
The Legendary Greatsword. The wiki lists this, among other things, as special effects originating from the sword:
Blue sparkles pop off the player’s body while drawn
Mystery solved.
Do you even lift, bro?
I guess we just have to wait for Anet to get around doing proper female Asuran armour rather than lazily copy-pasting the male models. Perhaps they get tiny little bras or something. Now, I don’t expect it to be as sexualized and revealing as the other races but for Cthulhu’s sake they could at least show some difference! They managed to do it with Charr females; the armour mainly looks the same but a lot slimmer for females.
As for the whole birthing issues: perhaps they pull a Stewie Griffin :the head is more rounded in a ball shape and then after a while “plops” into the traditional Asura shape as the infant ages!
Do you even lift, bro?
And fingers crossed that my Asura can somehow make Trahearne less…wooden.
Nope.
It will just make the switch from your totally awesome and fun personal story to Trahearne’s personal story taste all the more bitter.
Do you even lift, bro?
They just need to add a lot more high level Lightning Elementals strewn across the surface of Tyria and the problem will take care of itself.
At the current droprates, not really.
People are already farming Malchor’s Leap sparks to begin with, and it has hardly made a dent.
It has more to do with the fact taht lodestone droprates are horrible, and most of the attractive legendaries outside Twilight and Bifrost require Charged Lodestones.
I don’t want to appear to be a bot sympathizer/profiteer but we’re aaaaall thinking it:
The bots will handle it.
Look at Corrupted Lodestones. They’re at the low price they are because you have bots running all over Frostgorge sound and the majority of mobs in that zone has a chance to drop ’em.
I also bet a few hardcore players will be willing to grind them if they don’t have to do a whole event chain just to get started.
Do you even lift, bro?
I think you guys are confusing species with races.
Sentient beings – people.

Could also be Protection.

Harpoon Gun for Warrior is one of those finicky weapons that do more damage the further away you are.
So kite kite kite. Or whatever the nautical term is for kiting.
Do you even lift, bro?
It is okay since it is purely a vanity item. Unlike T1 and T2, the stats are horrible for it’s level. The only reason to buy it is to transmute the appearance.
Do you even lift, bro?
Well, they are walking vegetables in a world without any form of pesticides…
Do you even lift, bro?
A lot of the mystic forge uniques look better than the legendarys. Most of the Mists themed weapons (the ones that require 250 ecto) look pretty awesome. There’s quite a few focus skins that look good as well from the forge.
Totally agree. Only thing driving me in the direction of a legendary is that dang empty medal slot on the start screen……
Same. That, and progress towards the achievement. I’ll be f’ed if I’m going to make 5 legendarys or w/e the requirement for max rank of achievement is though.
Lol, yeah. However, at least that achievement isn’t staring you in the face every time you log in, saying, “You haven’t completed me yet, sucka”.
Might as well have a big trollface in middle of the World Competition medal until it’s achieved.
Do you even lift, bro?
If Asura do not possess mammary glands, then why would they cover their chests? The female player character with armour removed and tourists in Southsun Cove keep their chests covered, and I can’t think of any other likely reason as to why that is if not because displaying their mammaries publicly is a social taboo.
That’s not so much an in-game reason as it is a real-life reason.
You can’t have bare-chested females in a Teen rated game, regardless of actually chesticles.
Do you even lift, bro?
Yeah, but only be allowed to use one attunement.
No, you can switch as you please.
This gives you four sets of five abilities, totaling in 20 abilities.
Any other class that can swap weapons can only reach 10 different abilities total.
Then you add the ability to Conjure weapons on top of that…
Elementalist should never get the ability to swap weapons; they’re the kings of versatility as it is!

That model is, as have been said, reused for the Risen Priestess of Dwayna (and Risen High Priestess of Dwayna).
It is however undeniably a Largo.
Model-wise yes, lore-wise no.
Do you even lift, bro?
You already have the ability to switch between four weapons as it is; that’s not enough? Plus the poster above me brings up a good point about the Conjured Weapons, too!
Do you even lift, bro?
You are going to lose alot of WvW oriented players if you don’t. Just saying.
The damage has already been done. Stopping people from leaving the “sinking ship”- servers would make it ten times worse.
Do you even lift, bro?
Stability did the trick for me…
But yeah, it needs to be clearer on how the wind mechanic actually works there. The flapping flags are not clear enough.
Do you even lift, bro?
Only against enemies afflicted by the Stun condition. Tested it extensively with Earthshaker*
*Earthshaker has an interesting mechanic. The stun comes before the damage, so with Unsuspecting Foe you will always get 50% bonus to crit when using this burst ability, as long as the enemy can be stunned.

Isn’t it technically a Lodestone? It gets put in with them when you deposit them. Would be neat to find some undead-themed weapon recipes in the Mystic Forge. Or perhaps Exotic recipes for Weaponsmithing.
Like the Corrupted and Destroyer weapons.
Do you even lift, bro?
BTW Oglaf, I don’t feel the same as you do.
You only need Crude Salvage Kits, and only need to salvage white items. You get enough cloth and leather doing that, along with all the bags that drop that contain that.
I’ve never had a problem with Cloth and Leather. Fine materials however, is another matter!
Cheers.
The issue of Oricalchum and Gossamer is a different beast though; both are randomly gotten when salvaging and in order to maximize your chances you need to use the higher quality Salvaging Kits which cost around 15s each.
Except that Oricalchum can also simply be gathered.
Do you even lift, bro?
As I said, not in the same quantities. I guess Leatherworking is double screwed in that regard though because neither of the materials can be gathered.
Do you even lift, bro?
It is because Norn believe they only truly die once stories of themselves die out.
Thus’ they dedicate themselves to making their legend grow.
It’s kinda half philosophy-half religion to the Norn.
This guy does get Norn.
Do you even lift, bro?
it’s not unfair…armorsmith needs to mine + salvage to get cloth….yet you can sell all the ores you gather.
Incorrect.
You do not need to salvage for Armoursmithing. It is an optional way of getting extra ore at the expense of Salvage Kits and loss of loot.
Do you even lift, bro?
I’d play Norn if she proceeded to badmouth Trahearne for stealing her glory.
^This times a thousand! That made Trahearne ten, no, hundred times more irritating for my Norn than any other character.
Do you even lift, bro?
1. If you don’t have the money for one then don’t buy it.
Well obviously…
Do you even lift, bro?
Wow, we agree on a lore issue at last Konig!
Do you even lift, bro?
She does look unmistakeably like a Largos.
I guess the developers had at one point intended for Risen Largos, and then reused the model for the Priestess. I like her boobs on that purple render. it looks like they’re being supported by two xenomorph facehuggers. kitten lucky facehuggers…
Do you even lift, bro?
Do you have a lot of Toughness?

Before lvl 80, it isn’t really worth it to try and find good-looking armour.
Mainly because they are none.
