Look into your black little hearts; search your feelings. You know this to be true.

Either that or let me throw him into the propellers of a Pact Airship and turn him into salad.
Do you even lift, bro?
Sad part is that the balance is out of wack. You regularly see Humans who sacrifice their class Elite for Hounds of Balthazar, but no sane Norn would use Raven Form, ever.
Norns got the short end of the stick when it comes to racial Elites.
Do you even lift, bro?
Pfft. Forgal’s sacrifice was totally Norn… and totally Viking. They way he pleaded with my Norn to tell his story in order to keep his Legend from dying was very moving.

Can you auto-shoot on destroyer and watch porn?
Sounds like a challenge to me!

It did not go well…

I’m pretty sure that Fractal of the Mist “episode” with the Raving Asura tells a story about a different future for you hamsters.

The reasons why Greatswords rock on Warriors are
- A well-balanced set of attacks. Offense, defense and mobility, it has it all.
- The best weapon-specific Trait amongst the weapons, Forceful Greatsword.
Really, there needs to be a Trait that gives you Might on Crit like that regardless of what weapon you’re using.
Do you even lift, bro?
Perfectly natural for Krewe members to take orders.
Not sure what you’re on about…
Our player Asura have very little interaction with our Krewe though, unlike NPCs. And being the Snaff Savant I suppose gives you greater range of freedom, too.

And think: They view Jormag as a Spirit of the Wild. Spirits don’t have physical bodies, so they very well may view that Jormag’s spirit is still out there (and it very well may be) and able to give them power.
No, it doesn’t work like that. Owl is dead. As are the other Spirits said to be dead. Jormag/Dragon ate them up. Spirits of the Wild are definitely “mortal” in the eyes of the Norn.
Do you even lift, bro?
Did I say Sylvari were old?
No I did not.
I said that they were immune to corruption.
Do you even lift, bro?
Hard to see doesn’t describe it.
They must be invisible.
I am a still not convinced…

Personally I find that the Bandits who apply 25 stacks of Bleed and Poison with one basic attack to be the real PITA in CM.
Do you even lift, bro?
Which is why I said they’d still be around as roaming marauders, but not as an organized faction like they are currently.
Once you go Icebrood, you can’t go back, true. But the non-Icebrood Sons would probably be welcomed back to the fold if they so choose. They are not considered inherently evil after all.

A well-played Guardian has the potential to bring the most useful advantages that one single character alone can bring to a party.
Do you even lift, bro?
Oglaf, so what you say is that if Bear gets killed by Jormag, Norn would just abandon the teachings of Bear?
I find that highly unlikely. What would all the burly warriors do?
You can’t pick Owl on Character Creation after all. If Bear got gobbled up by Dragon you probably wouldn’t be able to pick her either.
There are almost no Owl Shamans in the game anymore, or any of the other devoured Spirits. On the contrast, the “alive” Spirits have lots of “clergy” and well-maintained Lodges/Shrines.
It really does seem like once a Spirit “dies” he or she gets abandoned by the majority of Norns.

Ahahahahaha!
Saved for future… use.
Do you even lift, bro?
The game is not dead, but individual servers are dead or dying.
Like Fissure of Woe
… sigh …
Do you even lift, bro?
Obviously, you don’t know norn. Go to Snowden Drifts, go to the southwestern corner of the map. You got multiple followers of Owl still. Most of the skaalds still go on about Owl’s tale too.
Owl is dead. Yet she is still revered and remembered by the norn.
In the same light, Sons of Svanir will have some remaining die-hard fans (as you put it), and you’ll have a lot more remember the story of Jormag (in both lights).
Have you even been to that shrine? It is in ruins! Overrun by enemies and all matter of nasty critters! There is only one Owl Shaman there to my recollection, a skill challenge. A far stretch from the glorious ice statues of Bear, Wolf and Snow Leopard in Hoelbrak and their Great Lodges.
To think that the Sons would remain as an organized force after the eventual defeat of Jormag is quite unthinkable. Their whole organization is founded on the superiority and sovereignty of Jormag as Dragon,
Do you even lift, bro?
Why would Jormag exclude half the the Norn population by not allowing women to worship him – all because of the action of one woman, Jora…?
Except that it’s not Jormag.
Its the Sons of Svanir – fanatical die-hards for power and Jormag.
We don’t know Jormag’s stance on female norn, or what he does to female norn.
It was a rhetorical question, questioning the Sons of Svanirs’ stance on the matter, just like the Flame Legion’s stance on women.
Do you even lift, bro?
You don’t known Norn. They worship Jormag as a Spirit of the Wild and when Spirits die, so does their worship. Sons of Svanir are in that sense no different than the countless Bear/Wolf/Snow Leopard Shamans scattered all over Hoelbrak.
They won’t be revering Jormag as “Dragon” once he/she(?) is killed. All the Spirits of the Wild devoured by Jormag have all but vanished from Norn society/culture; only a few die-hard fans maintain the very basic of shrines to them.

A reasonable solution could be to sell the dungeon armour pieces in some sort of package:
Account Bound on purchase, but when you open it to retrieve the armour piece it becomes Soulbound to the character unwrapping it.
Do you even lift, bro?
(edited by Oglaf.1074)
The answer is as obvious as it is simple: so that you can’t just buy one armour set or weapon and pass it around all your characters.
Do you even lift, bro?
You can bleed rocks but you cannot set fire to a trebuchet.
Btw, dragons are NOT immune to conditions.
Yes, they are…. somewhat. They get affected by Vulnerability, but I’ve never ever seen any damage numbers for either Poison nor Bleed despite these conditions being inflicted.
Do you even lift, bro?
They should’ve just given us the option to do whichever dance we want. Like
/robot
/haka
/carlton
etc.
Do you even lift, bro?
Wait, it sounds like you’re in agreement with Son of Elias because you’re saying the Sons will still be around, just not in large communities. And SoE is saying they’ll still be around.
In a way. They’d still be a round in the sense that they wouldn’t just stop existing, but the organization/faction known as the Sons of Svanir would crumble with the defeat of Jormag.

Omnomberry Pies.
Precision and the most awesome Lifesteal in the game.
Do you even lift, bro?
I never bother with sPvP (ever), but I actually do find Greatsword useful in WvW because it’s an entirely different sort of combat setting in many cases.
How is it different? PvP is PvP regardless. Players are going to avoid your Hundred Blades unless you resort to the “cheesy” tactic. Greatswords are more of a PvE weapon because it is too much of a one-trick pony.

I wasn’t aware we had a “waypoint conundrum”…
Do you even lift, bro?
I got an assortment of crap, too.
Do you even lift, bro?
Yeah, me too. I really wish we could preview dyes at the Trading Post…
Do you even lift, bro?
Only if it’s actually growing out of them.
I’ve always assumed it does. It most certainly looks like it. Especially the Light versions.
Do you even lift, bro?
Hm, what a shame that things are so limited at this point in the game. However I will keep my hopes up, and thank you guys for replying and giving me more information, I appreciate it!
As I said, once you hit lvl 35 go check out the Cultural Armour Vendors in your race’s home city. It costs a few gold for a full set, but well worth it if appearance is your thing.
Do you even lift, bro?
Marrow. The word is marrow.
Think you missed the joke. Namely that it’s not really bleeding if there’s no blood. :p
How do you Poison them when there is no circulatory system nor soft tissue?
Do you even lift, bro?
Well, I disagree.
Do you even lift, bro?
Technically, any Sylvari wearing Cultural or Twisted Arbor armour is 100% naked because the “armour” is just more leaf and grass added to their leaf and grass bodies!
Do you even lift, bro?
Last time I used Black Lion Salvage Kits, but that was when the Gem Prices were around 1g per 100 Gems.
I dunno if you make much of a profit using those now…
Do you even lift, bro?
I call it Claw…
Do you even lift, bro?
Heh, yeah that does look spot on. You could try “Phlox” on the shiny part to try and match the purple effect.
Do you even lift, bro?
I did? Woohoo! How about another screenshot?
Do you even lift, bro?
The screenshot shows a basic Seraph grunt. The higher ranking officers have fancier stuff. It makes no sense for the basic grunts to wear T3 armour, it is fine. With their winged shields they have a unique look anyway.
Do you even lift, bro?
Could also be that the Karka are too alien or otherwise Lovecraftian for Zhaitan to raise them. Remember how they are touted to be really ancient and stuff?
It has happened before with the Sylvari.
Do you even lift, bro?
Yeah, I don’t get it either. If they can do this for the women, why can’t they do something similar for the guys?
Because the homosexual male and heterosexual female are not the target consumer of these types of games.
That’s just generally how Asian MMOs make their male armors. It’s just a different taste that I’m guessing you Norn-types cannot stand.
So? Different style or not, that guy looks like he should be wearing a police hat and doing the YMCA. For a Western company to make that style standard for their male armour would be shooting themselves in the foot. It just isn’t what their target consumers want (or can tolerate it most cases).
PS – Norns are all about half-naked awesomeness. Don’t belittle us.

Are you a gambling man/woman?
Selling the rare directly is safe money.
Salvaging is dancing with the random number generator for a chance at more money.
Do you even lift, bro?
Try “Charcoal” for the main parts, and “Ivory” for the lines.
Do you even lift, bro?
You’re stuck with the generic stuff for a long time, sadly. Once you hit 80 though, there is a whole new world of variety out there. The earliest “nice stuff” you can get is at lvl 35 when you can buy T1 Cultural armour but it is expensive.
Do you even lift, bro?
Wouldnt the sexiest of armors for the male be the most threatening? Skin area would be for female.
Riiiight….
Because, of course, it is “sexy” to see females in armour that is likely to get them ripped to shreds… while waiting for the male in the “threatening” armour to come along and “rescue” them.
I find the screenshot posted in this thread of the half-naked elf dude to be the most threatening armour I’ve seen in years.
Do you even lift, bro?

Don’t bother with them.
