Yes, there were undead made by the Cataclysm – but said undead were taken out of Orr by Vizier Khilbron. And Zhaitan had made brand new undead since. So no, you cannot argue that no Risen is made by undead.
I always thought that the Risen in the Orr maps were the original Orrians – they have corals and stuff growing on them which would seem, to me at least, indicate that they spent a lot of time at the bottom of the sea.
Then you have the “new” Risen that launch attacks on Tyria, these do not have corals and stuff growing on them because they are made up of the recently deceased in Tyria.

However, if you are a necromancer at heart, then roll a necro! You’re going to learn this game one way or another, why not start with something you really like. The learning curve will be there regardless of which class you pick.
And on the bright side, once you hit lvl 80 they might’ve gotten their act together and fixed stuff like Condition caps, eh?
Do you even lift, bro?
Yep, why pick Tactics over Strength, Arms, or Discipline right now? Because the minor traits are made by inexperienced devs.
30% Boon duration, brah.
Hell even the defense tree is lacking hard.
Dunno about that. Adrenal Health is one of my all-time favourite Minor Traits in the game.

If you have an Elementalist that can’t match your Necromancer in pure AoE damage, you’re doing something horribly wrong with that Elementalist.
Do you even lift, bro?
On the contrary! It depends on what you’re playing.
In PvE you can definitely get by running a glass cannon build with 18k-20k HP. In WvWvW forget about it! You better have at least 25k-30k HP.
I have no Vitality on my equipment and I have…
23.400-something Health.
A Warrior without any Vitality from Traits has 20.000 Health at lvl 80. That’s a respectable amount of Health. Also, your Health does not mean anything when it comes to being a glass cannon; a Warrior with 20.000 and lots of Toughness is a lot tankier than someone who has 30.000 Health and minimal Toughness.

You ruin it with that black.
It is too black; it removes any form of textures.
The question is – how much more black could you get?
The answer is: none.

It is only “useless” in the sense that there are other stats which would benefit you more. As such it should be considered a low-priority stat for Warriors. Not entirely “useless”, but not worth sacrificing more potent stats over, ya dig?

I would just farm the gold and buy them rather than try to farm them. Leave that to the bots (yes, they’re still around, Anet.)
They’re among the cheaper Lodestones (thankfully!) and you’d get more “Lodestones per hour” if you did dungeons or something for the Gold.
Yeah, lucky for you they dropped in price. I got mine when it was still in the 1g30s range. Now they are under 1g so a few runs in a dungeon will net you 1-2 if lucky.
I’ve made tons of Corrupted weapons when they were 1g30s. 1g30s is still a bargain compared to some other Lodestones. It really helps having an entire map dedicated to dropping them

Both classes are enjoyable, necro is the most misunderstood class. IMO 90% of the necro-haters do not know how to play one.
I’m not a “nerco-hater”, I am a “necro-realist”.
The class has tons of obvious problems.

wait.. so when 10 players perma CC one poor mob its ok? and when 10 mobs perma CC one player, it somehow becomes wrong? :o weirdos
wait.. so when 10 players perma CC one poor mob its ok? and when 10 mobs perma CC one player, it somehow becomes wrong? :o weirdosmobs have rights too
That’s a nice point you made there. Except one problem: Players can’t perma CC a mob. Player CC abilities haven’t even a sliver of the duration of mob CC abilities.
Do you even lift, bro?
Eh. It got a lot easier when they added Karma vials to the dungeon bosses. Just stick with it.

I guess I play in a different Orr than you.
You probably don’t stick around for the events.
Like defending the camp at Penitent Waypoint.
You’ll have swarms of those anchor Risen that pull you, and swarms of those water Risen that knock you back, all in one huge swarm.
You’ll get pulled to them by the anchor dudes, then get knocked back by the water dudes.
You might as well have someone come into your room and take your keyboard away from you every 10 seconds.
I don’t mind the volume of enemies, I mind their design – as do many other people. Which is why Orr is so dead on most servers… no pun intended.
Do you even lift, bro?
You seen a war in a battlefield with no soldier, or 2 soldier? They are a million! And plus these are undead created by a dragon…
Again, you’re not answering my question.
Do you even lift, bro?
I’m sorry, but I don’t see how constant cc-spam equates to this glorified vision of “a big war” you people have got going for you. That’s the comeback I always hear when I criticize the stupid, stuuupid design of all the Risen in Orr.
Do elaborate, please. Indulge me.
Do you even lift, bro?
If one-on-one is what you’re looking for, Warrior just aint your class…
Do you even lift, bro?
its probably one of the easiest components if u do JP everyday, just do the JP everyday, u probably get it in 1month if u only got 1 x lvl 80. by then, i still think u would not have enough for the materials, imo.
No-one else sees something wrong here?

Death, you really should switch out your gear to Power/Toughness/Precision. Warriors have no need for Vitality, we’ve got some of the highest core Health in the game and some extra Precision would do wonders for you.
Do you even lift, bro?
Mjolnir is more Legendary than any of the “real” Legendaries.
There isn’t even one up on the Trading Post because it requires 350 Charged Lodestones to craft!

Actually, in your example you have every right to those 100 computers and the store has no choice but to accept the blame, ship your computers, and welcome any further business from you.
The pricing is their responsibility.

So they make Trahearne the Grand Marshal because he is apparently a neutral actor. However, then he spins around and appoints your character his second in command – and your character is a high-ranking member of either the Vigil, Order of Whispers or the Durmand Priory!
Wouldn’t the other factions get sorta peeved at his blatant display of favoritism? Or if they don’t care, why couldn’t your character be the Grand Marshal?

so each T3 set looks change via race?
Each Cultural set can only be worn by the corresponding race.
Do you even lift, bro?
My norn character feels so homesick without it!
Do you even lift, bro?
They’re both wearing full T3 (minus helmet) Cultural Armour on the class selection screen.
Do you even lift, bro?
so when you are making one, they are displaying Cultural armor I take it?
Some of them are, most of them aren’t.
Do you even lift, bro?
This is not a Staff issue.
It is a All weapons but Long/Greatsword issue.
As a Warrior, it is sad to see how little effort went into most of the Maces, for example. Axes too, to a lesser degree. Most of the effort was put into the two sword types.

However, one can wag a finger at Anet for not realizing this prior to adding the Snowflake Jewelery.
Not excusing the exploiters, mind you.
But they really should’ve seen it coming miles away.
Do you even lift, bro?
Pretty much.
Norns are of course bulkier than humans, and Sylvari are thinner than humans but the general appearance concerning non-Cultural armour will be the same. You can easily tell if a Norn and a Sylvari are wearing the same armour.
Do you even lift, bro?
It can be completed.
You still stand around and do nothing but tickle him with artillery for a good five to ten minutes though… Yay…?
Do you even lift, bro?
I wouldn’t mind getting 500 Badges of Jumping if they made them actually drop from WvW.
Y’know, like 2-3 Badges per minor objective captured and perhaps 5-10 per Keep captured.
Do you even lift, bro?
Just a flesh wound!

Better to just use Power/Precision/Crit damage for huge burst potential with Arcing Arrow, really.

A Mace that isn’t a discoball.

Just saw a male charr mesmer in mesmerish colored CoF gear, looked terrible.
Problem with CoF gear is that you can’t dye the flames.
If you could make them green, it would make awesome Necromancer armour.
If you could make them purple/ pink, it would make awesome Mesmer armour.
Do you even lift, bro?
… it is not Jormag!!!

All the Norn areas are beautiful and easily my favourite parts of the game, too.
Do you even lift, bro?
Anet flubbed up and made it impossible to preview stuff your character can’t wear a few patches back, just before Christmas. Don’t worry though, they admitted it being unintended so it will probably be changed back soon.
Do you even lift, bro?
What can I say other than it is my first ever, and most played, character?
:S
Do you even lift, bro?
Killing them with Conditions is a lot easier than raw damage, too. Conditions don’t care about their high Armour/Toughness.
Do you even lift, bro?
It is just a 10 points Trait anyhow. As I run a Shout build, I might as well pick it up. Either that or Empowered.
It makes the Longbow a lot more effective than the Rifle in any form of team setting – having all your basic attacks being some form of Finisher is quite nice.
Do you even lift, bro?
I applaud you, but doesn’t change the fact that you’re a tiny, tiny fraction of the Mesmer population!
Do you even lift, bro?
Okay, these type of threads are becoming boring.
Real boring.
Do you even lift, bro?
Face it, most of the players crying about Legendaries being made “too easy” are the ones who hit the jackpot during the Karka event and made their Legendary dirty cheap, and now when the situation is FUBAR they don’t want Anet making it easier for everyone else to get one.
Do you even lift, bro?
Good point. You should be able to buy a lot of stuff with those Gold Bars without making coins!
Do you even lift, bro?
Please consider reskinning these. With all the white and black they look like they are just crude models that haven’t been properly skinned yet!
Do you even lift, bro?
Why can’t I use my Gold Bars to make Gold “coins”?
I’d be rich, rich I tell you!
:P
Do you even lift, bro?
I would say warrior if you want your first time to be easy.
I wouldn’t say Warrior is “easy”, Warrior is just more “viable” than Necromancer at the moment.
If you want “easy” I suggest rolling a Guardian.
