I think it’s not even possible to do this unless the whole title system is rewritten. A title is bound to a certain achievement, which in this case is the final achievement for the meta. I doubt Anet took into account the possibility of “stacking titles”.

Please speak for yourself. No interest at all. I would rather have a full featured PC hooked up to my TV then a “toy” OS so the devs should concentrate on the current game instead of using resources to port it.

Why? Don’t you want superior performance of light-weight game focused OS running on any monster hardware you choose?

There is zero reason to ever use Windows for gaming.

The best use of resources would be to begin to ween off of Windows, onto SteamOS.

If that monster hardware doesn’t have support for your light-weight gaming OS it’s not really gonna go anywhere now is it?

The toy golems are a real pain when they manage to stay in a group. I usually try to seperate one or two from the rest and then pick them off one at a time, but it’s a horrible stunfest if I don’t manage to do that… The princess dolls can be annoying too but not as bad as the golems. The others are just cannon fodder

In Lion’s Arch you’ll find ho-ho-tron and the other guy collecting donations, after a while they’ll send out a dolyak towards the asura gate for Divinity’s Reach. These dolyaks randomly drop packages. Pick these up and after you’ve picked up enough you’ll get Finders Keepers.

Wow, that’s harsh. But I’m sure it’s not just the game that’s at fault, you probably just suck.

I have an internal soundcard in my PC, and I use a Sennheiser USB headset which Windows recognises as a seperate soundcard. I’ve unplugged it to see if the sound would play and it wouldn’t.

I’ll test on a different computer tonight to see what that does.

I can hear the voiceover explaining what the fractals is about, but other than that I hear no sound from the actual cinematic.

I just created a new character, the intro cinematic for that does have sound.

All volume sliders are at the same level – which is about 80% (never ever touched them after installing the game). Sound quality is at medium, Music interval is at medium and mixing buffer size is at lowest latency.

edit: reset the sound settings to default and tried again, still no sound.

I’m not sure if this is on purpose, but during the cinematic where the tower collapses I get no sound at all, the sound only returns after the cinematic’s over and I regain control of my character in Kessex Hills.

Asurans = Goblins/Orcs in other games.
Quaggans = just plain stupid Seamonkeys

I’m pretty sure the Charr are the GW equivalent of Orcs. Asura would be the dwarves I guess, with a slight sci-fi twist to them.

Snowman would be awesome, especially since it would explain why you’d get different types of snowflakes from it.

When the update was first released all floors were easy because the tower was filled up with players, but now you will need to find yourself a party. I don’t really see the problem, or are you put off by the fact that you have to show initiative of your own instead of the game holding your hand and telling to to form a party?

The other day I was in a map (forgot which one) and suddenly Scarlett’s minions invaded. There was no one on the map to do the event, and after 10 minutes, still no one had shown up. I jave the feeling people don’t care about the Scarlett invasion anymore which makes it impossible to do because it doesn’t seem to scale down enough for just a handful of players.

Maybe they’ll sell the rest later and people will end up getting a very expensive armour set. Gotta buy them all.

I think it is because she is shoehorned into pretty much everything, yet doesn’t really do anything. She’s a background character that constantly steps into the foreground. She’s dr. Claw as he is portrayed in the Inspector Gadget movie.

She has others do stuff and then shows up to take the credit for it. I guess people just don’t like that.

The third floor is nearly impossible on your own but in a group of 4 or 5 people it should be pretty do-able. I sweeped through the 3rd level the other day with a party of 4, done several nightmare chambers and beat the final boss without dying.

If you’re playing by yourself I have to agree, it’s nearly impossible to run the 3rd level.

Good point. What I mean is, they shoehorn Scarlet in E-V-E-R-Y-THING. It wouldn’t surprise me if the Elder Dragons were freaking robots that Scarlet built, and that she was behind the entire events of Nightfall.

Well we already KNEW that Scarlet worked with the Inquest at one point, so it is not really like they suddenly decided that she was working with the Inquest in the Fractal.

Perhaps, but it kinds of feels like they try to shoehorn her into everything. Like someone said, it would be of no suprise to me if she turns out to be behind the whole Elder Dragons either. Not that Anet originally planned for that, but they seem to like her so much they might just be willing to force her into that storyline somehow too.

I like Scarlet as a villain but right now, she seems to be the major one behind everything. How long before the GW2 logo gets changed from a dragon to Scarlet?

From my experience the first two parts of the tower are okay to do on your own… The third part does require a bunch of people. I just played it with a party of four and we had no trouble whatsoever, we did a few nightmare chambers and we even beat the final boss without anybody going down (which finally got me the toxic krait mini).

In short, first two parts you can do alone, 3rd part is fine if you’re in a 4+ party.
