It’s kind of sad that the only argument aside from the clipping issues that the anti-cape crusaders can come up with is a clip from the Incredibles. If I got a gem for everytime someone posted that clip (or an image from it), I could have bought all the gemstore armours by now.

I also wandered shattered LA. First going to my favorite spot, the underwater ruins of Old LA, where many times I’d swim around – looking at those remnants of a city that was ‘home’ in GW1 for so many years. Each time feeling nostalgic, and remembering all the fun times there…. 250 years ago. Now it is no more, so little of it left. I’ll never feel the same wonder, and mourn the loss of that visible tie to GW history and lore.

Why do people keep saying old LA is gone? It’s right where it always was (except there’s a bit of breachmaker on top of it that you can still swim under).

Someone should start OOLAPS: Old-Old-Lion’s-Arch-Preservation-Society and raise gold to clear the debris and preserve this bit of Krytan history

A true hero knows when to fight, and when to run. And thanks to Kiel ditching LA with Magnus, we had to do all the fighting for her (again).

So when Gnashblade runs, it’s because he’s a hero and when Kiel “runs” it’s because she’s a coward (and not at all evacuating people or anything).

Your little “Gnashblade is a hero” thing was funny for a while but you’re stretching it a bit thin now to be honest.

Why are you gipping our Transmutations?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: OmaiGodman.2098

OmaiGodman.2098

Personally I like the change. I rarely transmuted anything from level 1-70 since we out-level our gear so quickly. And now all those stones I didn’t use will be available for my level 80 characters. I’m fairly confident I’m not the only one loving this change.

I still don’t know enough about it to be concerned. No word on how exactly we can earn the charges in game. And knowing anet, they’ll be rewards from multiple sources.. from map completion to daily completion to monthly completion and from BLTC chests (and we still get keys from story instances and random drops).

I usually buy new armour every 10 levels or so, and since I have a whole bunch of transmutation stones sitting in my bank, I’ll transmute armour along if I happen to like the way it looks better than the new armour I bought.

I think they should do something about the “just stand here and hit the air” part that is basically the whole event except for beating up the portals.

Spawn stronger enemies from the portals. Make the shadow bits that drop after the portals disappear explode and knock people over if they don’t dodge them and then make the area where they landed poisonous for a few moments (like 10-12 sec). Make SB’s apply fear to players like the Dragon Champions’ roars do. The thing has two giant claws, let him hit places where a lot of people are standing at random.

There are a lot of possibilities with Shadow Beasty.

We’re still going on about this?

And to the OP – You thought THIS was offensive? What did you think of the Mad King’s jokes?

By the by – What do you get if you toss a mini Queen Jennah, a mini Logan, & a mini Eir into the Mystic Forge? A mini Dead Snaff. (I can’t take credit for that one though. A guildie gave it to me.)

I laughed at this. One of my favourite Mad King jokes is “How do you survive a dragon? Run faster than Snaff”.

But I get where the OP’s coming from, the only choices you get is to make the whole thing seem light hearted. It just doesn’t fit the image some people have of their character. My guardian for example would, in my opinion, never make such a remark. Not out of respect for Scarlet, but out of respect for all the people who’ve died.

It’s not about the jokes being offensive to use players, it’s about them being offensive within the game world. Scarlet killed thousands of people and you’re cracking jokes about the whole thing. It’s a case of “too soon” and that makes it feel forced and out of place with some PC’s.

My Mesmer on the other hand, would have picked all three options at once if that had been possible.

I get that Scarlet was the villain, but I felt horrible listening to Marjory and the others joke about her death.

Previous LS updates established that she’s been driven crazy by some external force that she encountered in the Eternal Alchemy and could no longer mentally fight it. We should pity her or mourn for those she’s killed, not make childish jokes about what it felt like to deliver the death blow.

Not to be rude here, but I’m genuinely curious – do dialogue ideas get checked before they are added? If so, did no one suggest that joking about killing a mentally unstable character might be in poor taste?

exactly, something drove her crazy by invading her nightmares and she fought to control it. Eventually it consumed her. Instead of trying to help her fight back we drive a spear through her broken body then laugh about it over drinks. Yip – we’re not so nice.

Well, we never really got a chance to help her in the first place now did we? She went down fighting, we could never get near her. Besides, if what came over her was similar to the other dragons’ corruption, there was no way back for her anyway. In a way, we saved her from a life of being enslaved to Mordremoth.

Yeah…no chance….

Scarlet: Hey guys! Lets talk mby?
Braham: STFU!!!!
Marjori: I know what to do! (Pulls out daggers.)

Yeah…. She was so aggressive.

At that point it was a bit late for her to reach out to us. But I still dislike Braham for going kitten at her T_T

  • some people will complain no matter what goodness a.net gives them !
  • a,net could give them 100g for dungeon completion and some would still complain jeesh !
  • haters gonna hate and complainers gonna complain !

100 gold is meaningless if the economy is out of whack.

You missed the point completely. What Latinkuro means is that no matter what Anet does, there will always be people who want more, and there will always people who complain about something.

If Anet were to give everyone 5 free character slots tomorrow, there will still be people who’ll find a way to complain about it. Because people love to complain. Coming to these forums has made that very, very clear to me.

A lot of people seem to think that GW2 has been created to fill their every need. That the game should be modeled completely and only after their wishes. And that’s not how it works. And that’s why people complain about every.little.thing they can find.

I mean, I’ve already seen several topics about people complaining that the next patch will not include certain things (like dueling for instance). So instead of being happy about the new things they will get, they choose to focus on what they won’t get, which just makes them come across like spoiled children to me.

Note: The above statement does not necessarily apply to this topic’s OP, it’s more a general thing around these forums.

“When you unlock a dye after the feature pack is released, all characters on your account will have unlimited access to that color.

If you already have the same dyes unlocked on multiple characters, when you log in on additional characters, you will receive one unidentified dye for each duplicate dye already unlocked on your account."

So does this mean, in order for us to make a dye account unlocked, we must buy the color and unlock it, and if we already had it unlocked on individual characters then we get an unidentified dye for each old character locked dye of that color?

So we must once again purchase a single dye of every color we want regardless of how many characters already have it unlocked?

Well english is a second language for me, but I’m pretty sure what this means is: if Char A has blue unlocked all alts will have blue unlocked, if however Alt B also has blue unlocked and you login you get a unidentified dye, while still having access to blue.

That’s how I read it too. I think you’ll have to login with all your characters in order to unlock all their dyes across your account though.

Some people were speculating that one of the current characters would die, myself included (I was betting on Kas or Jory). It was mimicking the original Destiny’s Edge too closely. Two of the same race, and one bites the dust. One character couldn’t be there for the battle (Braham/Logan). At least with this, they’re mildly different.

On the other hand, a character dying was the reason DE split up, while in this case it would have been the thing that brings them together.

And who knows? Maybe they’re just saving the character death for the start of Season 2. Anything can happen.

Theory: "Key Farm" getting nerfed

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: OmaiGodman.2098

OmaiGodman.2098

If they want to restrict the key farmers, why not just limit the amount of characters you can create per day instead? If you can only create, let’s say, three new characters per day, that should be more efficient against farming without hindering the people who just want to play the game.

Besides, hasn’t Anet in the past said they don’t mind people farming keys this way? Why would they now want to nerf it?

If they’re going to carry over a lot of changes from the Chinese version to the Western version just to make a quick buck, I might just consider not playing anymore. The Chinese version simply sounds horrible and it’s definitely not the game I’m currently playing. They might as well sell the GW2 franchise to those guys who make Candy Crush or something.
