True. I can, however, tell people that playing the game in the opposite way of how ArenaNet intended people to play is an exploit. And intentionally failing or stalling an event in order to farm is the opposite of how ArenaNet intended people to play. Ergo…

If it wasn’t intended, it wouldn’t be possible. Something like a low threshold for credit isnt added by accident. You don’t design events for weeks on end and forget limits.

If you do, you have terrible designers/testers and it would be smarter to open up a public test server…

It’s not going to work. ArenaNet should remove the champion drops and add them as rewards for event completition (plus ban all the exploiters, of course – it’s rather obvious that intentionally failing an event in order to kill more champions is not playing the game as intended). Otherwise, they will just keep removing champions from events until the entire point behind the champion drops is rendered moot.

I give it Monday next week. Events will never get complete and they wil downscale them. This Nerf will make it harder.

As much as I would like new maps, make the at least visually different. This wouldn’t take too long to re lay textures right? Would need very minimal actual terrain changes.

As everybody here is playing necro now, I feel like this is the right place to ask for this.

Well if the goal of your necro build is to kill ele’s, you really don’t have to bother spec’ing traits. They just drop.

Lol. My life blast hits zerker eles for 7k on my cav/valk necro. 100% crit chance too.

The game lags when 100 people are in 1 keep spamming 1 or 2 buttons in wvw.

If the game had to keep track of 800 bleeds, the condi damage of the applyer, the duration, and personal caps, on top of the current 100 players spammin 1 button, servers would explode.

Queen is actually a watchknight. No one but Anise knows.

Was impossible for me on my necro. I gave up.

3rd try on mesmer, less than 10 on ranger (clever use of evades on weapons instead of trying to roll so much)

I did watch videos of each class doing it, so I can’t claim I figured it out on my own.

Srsly, thanks for this method. I got the hang of it and it is profitable. I can’t commit for hours on end, but it is very nice. In would have never even dreamed of it on my own.

I can do 25 stacks on my warrior on my sleep (not even level 80). May buy set for ranger for the lulz as well, although it won’t be as funny, ranger is an asura…

I have 6 full sets of gear (with diff stats) on my ele. Does it Make you mad that 2 of them are condi? Sometimes I like to mess around with it.

I know they would deny it, but I would bet heavily that this whole election thing was fixed in the first place. Due to the fact they have to plan what they are doing in this next patch, and they can’t have a person win and change everything at the last minute.

We mentioned that we will build the fractal the winner supports and will put it into the game towards the end of the year, not the next update.

It depends on what type wvw you do. Both are very viable for small teams and large zergs.

Necro is easy to pick up, hard to master.

Ele is hard to pick up and very hard to master. Once you get down attunement swapping is feels great.

As Takk said, go try them out in spvp. Give the ele a chance though. Lots of fun IMO. I love both my necro and else, but necro will always be my main.

As a necro and die hard thief hater, prove that this happened. I don’t believe it.

Would have to be a zerker thief that I would 3 shot in my zerker gear or take all of 6 seconds to apply enough bleeds to drop him or make him run. Pick up enfeebling blood when DS if you are condi specced and shoo the thief away.

So, you cant use a mass AoE skilln into a zerg as a ranger/ele/engi? Every one of my cleaving auto attacks triggers just as much retal as one of your attacks. Sure, you can’t stop a ranger LB 5 skill after the channel, like I can stop melee attacks, but I’m also in much more danger than you are from other damage. Risk vs reward. You are not a special butterfly. Yes I have killed myself on retal on my necro, ranger and mesmer multiple times.

Honestly, I would like to see retal stay where it is and take back the confusion Nerf. Melee

So, I have created and deleted more level 10 ele’s than I care to admit, but I’m really going to do it this time and wanted some opinions from people.

I have a level 80 necro,guard,ranger and mesmer, so I have never had to hit my profession skills (f1,2,3,4) very often. Now I am really going to take the else to 80 and i want to know what you all use for key binds for the attunements.

Currently, 6,7,8,9 are bound to Q,E,R, mouse 4 and T for elite.
F keys are pain to hit every few seconds. I know picking something and sticking it out is best, but I wanted to see what the community is using. I mainly WvW at 80 and consider myself to be above average (not pro, but not terrible) player.

Trying out z,x,c,v ATM. Pls suggest/share what you use

On HoD I was back at release.

Now I mainly command “pugs” or “militia” of whatever you want to call them. Herding cats is what I call it. My people.

By you suggesting to count to 4 proves that you have not learn nor even improve your playstyle to deal with CnD. I can do a lot of things while in stealth, I can even extend it beyond 4s if I want to without using CnD.

You may know how it works, but your suggestion proves that you have no idea how to deal with it.

It just a matter of time that someone taking your suggestion to see for themselves that counting to 4 only leaves them open for anything.

By the way, my off-weapon-set is P/P instead of SB (main S/D), do you know why? I know the set sucks when it comes to damage, so why do I use it? Hmmm.

My advice was for countering a stealth CnD troll. One who CnD right when stealth drops. I’m well aware that you can do something. Which requires a different set of skills/reactions. It would take a week to cover every single thing you can do and my possiblec ounter.

It was a 1 min write up to a question for 1 specific instance. No more. I’m aware it won’t work for every single thing you do. Jesus kittening Christ. You didn’t even read the op or my post did you? He didn’t say the thief did anything but hit him once or twice and dis appear. Nothing about being bursted down or stunned. Of course u can extend it past 4 seconds… But someone who is CND, bs, cnd over and over isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed.

You can’t expect someone with basic knowledge (op) to jump into a masters degree in thief killing.

This is 101 stuff man. Start slow. Work on the fundimentals before you start with the AP classes.

TSym is a 100% zerg guild. I don’t run small ops when tagged, I am a zerg commander. I play oceanic anyways. TSym has no oceanic.

So, how was that a recruitment ad? kitten, I don’t even know 80% of my guild anymore.

You would need the necro chill build. Condi/chill duration. 8+ seconds of chill on 4 different skills. You won’t burst him down, but he sure as hell won’t kill you. Also, use a staff. He will be forced to switch to sb to hit you, but he won’t be in stealth when he does that.

When he CnDs you, count to 4 and dodge forward and turn around. Lay staff marks around you (staff 2 and 4) to keep him away or track when they pop for a location. He will unstealth. Use staff skill 5, staff 3, (burn all your marks now), swap to other weapon, scepter and/or axe depending on build, when chill almost gone, use chill on offhand focus.

If he somehow closes the gap, DS 2 + DS 3 right when it lands, roll away, keep cycling chill while doing damage.

You can do this for any melee class, but when you hit ranged, it is much less effective. Not useless, just less effective. You don’t have to change much from am typical condi build, just need to rethink how the enemy will play and what order to use skills in.

Off-peak capping hasn’t reached the point where it’s making people quit. But when other options in the market become available (ESO, CU), it will be a factor if people decide to change games.

It will definitely be a factor if the question is whether the game will even let them play when they’re available to play. If wvw shuts down at night and ESO is up, there’ll be no contest at all.

Been lucky enough to get an ESO beta invite yet? You won’t be impressed. Looooong time before that game will be fun IMO.

1 roaming thief distracts 5 enemies for 30 seconds, the 50v50 zerg fight is now 50v45. Made my chances better.

Small man team can fend off a 20 man attack on a tower, I don’t have to port back and stop my attack.

Yak escorts, yak kills, player kills, distraction, tower ninjas ect. I would rather have a 5 man team stealth siege a tower while I hit a keep than have the extra 5 people with me.

You want to zerg? Cool! I need good players. You want to roam, cool. Retake a camp once in a while or kill a yak, be a pain in the kitten to the enemy.

Little zerglings, because you are in a bigger group, doesn’t mean you can order people around. Get over yourself. You didnt wipe because your zerg was 45 people instead of 50.

Probably not and if any did it got worked out when we fought SoS and they were still there before going to SoR

This is about where I stand.
I waited a long time to get a taste of TSYM again,
Had the match I wanted while they were on SoS, long over it now.
After transferring servers multiple times, it’s most likely that TSYM now is almost a completely different member base than TSYM a year ago.

Won’t say that I might not find myself choosing to attack TSYM tags over other guilds if I’m given the chance, but that’s more of an “Old habits die hard” thing than any grudge c:

TSYM lost members each transfer, so you’re probably right. From what I know of the members is that there is only a handful of people (mostly officers/GM) that were around for both transfers (DB>SOS>SOR). However, the core values of TSYM are still very much the same in that we still take at least one night a week off for workshops/training, and periodically take week long breaks to just chill out and enjoy the rest of the game..

I like it when these new members are so nice on the forums.
