I mean after a full day of reading this stuff (been checking the phone and computer way too often today) this bears repeating. 3,000 health versus a better chance for autoattack to hit.

The problem with the whole thing is the speed of the arrow is pointless in PvE. Only in WvW and PvP does it matter. Now, how often can you keep someone you are hitting at 1200 range? lol complete garbage.

60% of the people who roam are thief or mesmer. How do you manage a d/d thief (not the spam 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 type). How about a mesmer who isn’t condi? How about a warrior with a hammer? A decent guardian with a GS?

Guardian will take forever. Warrior just use poison. Mesmer keep up burns. Dagger thief shouldnt even be hard.

I am asking against skilled players, who know how to dodge. I have met 1 (maybe 2) ele who can 1v1 well. Now, 99% of ppl in wvw are not looking for 1v1 and are terrible, but that is besides the point. There is that 1%.

You will have to remind me in leagues to 1v1. I have a ranger, warrior, thief and maybe mesmer (dont play at all anymore) who would love a challenge with an ele!

They took 15 months to remove the ledge that allowed you to jump over jerrifers gate. I expect that adjusting actual code will take at least 6 more months.

You can use badges to buy almost all armor/weapons. Karma will get you the jewelry.

Killing other zergs nets a bunch of loot for classes that can aoe tag easily. Find a decent sized guild group, join them in voice chat (just to listen if they allow it) and follow.

Ranger does ok at 1v1 and pretty poorly at zerging. You dont see many roamers with rangers because it is so much easier as a mesmer/thief/warrior.

People like to take the easiest road. That is all.

I actually like my necro more than my guard or warrior to command. Can go full pvt for 36k health (with guard stacks) + DS + Plague form. Stand in red for days! Usually run pvt armor with zerker trinkets though.

But everyone is different. 90% of commanders are guards because of the sustain + utility while commanding.

Roaming on my ranger is prob the most fun I have in gw2 anymore. Yes I have 80s of ever class, so why ranger?

No one runs from a ranger. They all want to get the easy kill, which is fun when kill them.

A quick treb can clear ACs at every gate (except water gate garrison).

There are spots for everything.

Matchups get stale, people complain.
Anet adds some randomization, people complain of blow outs.
Anet tones down randomization, people complain about it being stale.

I see the future! There will be more randomized matchups and people will complain!!

I only go for uplevels. Ignore everyone else.

No. Only damage to the structure.

I think the time was 30 seconds before the white swords show up (WP is contested immediately) , but I could be wrong on that one.

The average players WvW skill is… sub fry cook at a fast food joint. EotM skill level is “I failed to cook a hot pocket in the microwave because it took more than 3 button presses to start it”.

I cannot see how a warrior can beat a d/p thief if both are equally skilled (maybe if both have no idea what they are doing). You can really abuse the blind.

Eventually the thief is going to eat a Pin Down to 100b. But Black Powder, Headshot, Shadow Step, Infiltrator’s Arrow (is using a SB) Condi removal when stealthed (if specced) would make easy work against that combo….

Now, P/D is different. Lose to a warrior? Should never happen. Beat one? If they stay to the death…. It will be a long fight, but equally played P/D had too many escapes and warrior skills are too easily telegraphed.

When you start adding other players… like a 3+ or whatever, is when the warriors get really scary. When you can’t watch the telegraphed moves and eat a 2 second stun, to a 2 second knockdown to a 1(ish) second knockback to a 1 second Shield Bash, 1 second daze into a skull crack… 1v1 no problem, Easy dodge/evasive skill on them all. It is why you don’t see Hammer and Mace/Shield roamers.

100% honest, I don’t beat a decent thief on my warrior 1v1.

Try it with ranger LB 5 on a group of 5 people who all have retal. 12 hits per person… 60 hits of retal, for a few nade tosses with an engi. Or grab an icebow. The pain!

If you make water #1, sure. It would make my life so much easier.

I would say pretend it is a dungeon, but in this game, you run past every enemy, exploit jumping and anything to skip content and finish faster. I guess you find that fun, but most wvw/PvP players dont.

Depends on if you have a guardian in party or not. You can swap the DS crit chance for stability quite fast if you find you need more. Every situation is different. Be flexible.

Here are 2 options
Remove leap finisher from heartseeker. Problem fixed.

Reduce movement speed when stealthed by 30-50% (would need testing).

LB ranger with a bear is the reason.

PvD isnt a problem. Yeah i said it. Get a few friends to man 5 sup ACs and fire at the same spot. No one will PvD through 5 sup ACs.

Real Problem shows it head now. blobs move faster than your 5 man, they will leave that tower and pvd another. You go to man AC to stop it, gl getting in against 30+ ppl.

So, drop the pvd needs to stop. You shouldn’t be rewarded for gathering up 50+ ppl to just run over everything. That is the real problem. Zergs are rewarded more, safer to travel, faster, easier to take towers etc.

Roaming on my necro and thief (both condi specs) forever. NA/OCX/SEA timezones on populated server. I have met 1 ele that runs diamond skin. Was 0 problem for my p/d thief. If I ran into one on my necro… I dont run dire so I do enough damage to pull him below 90%.

If I can’t, I will avoid the fight. Just like I avoid warriors on my condi thief, takes too long.

Most of your players are more skilled than the average militia, they will be fine adding a bit of DPS. Everything works differently for different ppl though

Really comes down to who you are fighting, but overall condi will come out on top for the majority of the scenarios.

More upgrades on a tower/keep = more of a reward for taking.

Lower rewards, let’s say… 50% of current for a “paper” tower. 150% of current for a t3 tower. Just examples here, the numbers could be changed to whatever, not here to do the math.

Harder the take, better rewards. Only makes sense right? It won’t stop trains, but it may slow them down.

There is a negative to nerfing them as well. Jim PvE Hero never does WvW, but hears a quick way to get levels on an alt. There is that small chance that he likes WvW and becomes a regular every day.

It does put you in combat, but as stated, it is placed, so won’t break stealth.

In b4 someone claims the thief was perma stealthed and their group of 5 died to caltrop damage.

Sadly, never lost to a ele on my mesmer while running a PU build. It is a very, very strong 1v1 build. One of the best.

Be more aggressive, dont cleanse so early and hope someone else comes along. Yes I am being 100% serious. Being very DPS heavy and trying to burst him is your best bet.

Except the ranger (and yes I have one with plenty of WvW kills)… Rangers need some WvW love.

As stated before, rangers are great in small groups. When you get into 15+ they fall in effectiveness very, very quickly. I 100% agree with that.

Ranger longbow 5 is the only valid complaint skill vs retal. Maybe chaos storm from mes and lavafont from ele.

The difference in the rates is meant to curb day traders like me from treating Gold and Gems like a real world exchange. In a small, close economy like GW2, it would be too easy to manipulate a currency market without these barriers in place.

So, from what I gather and agree with, condi are very strong in smaller group play. People complaining dont want to adjust play style/traits/group comp to counter it, so think it should be nerfed?

When I roam and die 6 times in a row to necros, I change spec/armor. Some days I see no necroz so I dont.

Good player will adjust, bad players will come to the forums to complain apparently. Run 5 man group, dont let the kitten necro in the back free cast while you hit the warrior, then come complain.

For all the theives that claim you are predictable once you stealth and l2play, that would suggest that you die a bunch when you stealth right? No? Not you, just a bad thief right?

The only stealth I run is dagger 5, no utilities, melee range. I have never stealthed at 50% or higher health and died from people who spam 1 into thin air. If you have, you were rolled by a zerg or you are a terrible, terrible thief. I would consider myself an average thief as well. Nothing special. So just stop.

Yes you can still perma stealth. It takes a little bit more effort, but not much more.
