Enough is enough. Some of you on here are a bunch of carebears. Do you think everything is always fair, and that There’s never a guild or two communicating to 2v1 you guys to hell? Happened to SoR blatantly before, and you don’t see a bunch of people crying on the forums cause it’s just how it works. Just because one or two guilds chose this path you lose respect for the whole server? If this minority can affect how you think this easily, Frankly, we don’t need your respect. I’M beginning to think SoS are full of 12 year olds. And what’s with the people saying going to T1=Bandwagoning? It’s not always the case.

you also forgetting the coordinated double team on bg when afs/tysm xfered to sor. which was happening for weeks. dont make it sound like u guys never double teamed on purpose.

In my 8 months of commanding an organized guild and pug whispering, I got a request once to double team jq (who was #1 at the time) from a random BG commander in EB. I declined, attacked BG, took a tower, got wiped after and went back to killing jq.

I can almost sleep in 1v1 against most classes. There is a phant mesmer on blackgate that always gives me a run for my money. Condi necros are the only class that I actively try to avoid. Too much trouble IMO.

I’m not saying I have never been killed by a thief/warrior/engi/ect, it happens, but the majority of fights I win.

I would imagine, that since stun breaks work on it now, that -stun duration does as well. Basically the melandru people.

I like these runes. I still need to put a superior and major sigil of bursting into my scpeter/dagger and see what i can hit now. I can’t beat my mesmer, but I may get within 200 condi damage now.

I would love this if I was an Anet marketing/sales guy. I would ask my dev team to make changes every two weeks between 2 professions like this, so that every Johnny Comelately like the OP will buy them to swap back and forth between professions.

I think it improves immersion. It goes along the lines of rainbow staff, disco ball mace, and people throwing fireballs and lightning from their hands and plant based playable race.

Veil doesn’t last long enough to matter. If you see zerg veil, you know where they are. If you don’t see them cast and pass through the veil, you are dead anyways So why bother?

Dungeons are cross server. Open world? No clue, you can guest to any server you want In NA and check right now if you want. Feel free to do that.

Adding more WvW specific dailies is a good idea, since some of us more or less only play WvW, and we should have the same ability to get our dailies done as PvEers.

If you want to compete in achievement highscores you have no choice but doing as many dailies, monthlies and living story as you can. So this daily which takes more effort than 10 other dailies combined seems out of order.

It isn’t. Queues are nothing Outside of reset night. Sometimes you hit 15 mins on EB or less than 5 on the BLs.

As far as skill lag, any 2 map zergs fighting can cause that on any server. Sure, with more people you see it more often in T1, but it honestly isn’t as bad as the old HoD glory days.

PvE can be done from any server to any server via guesting.

As far as WvW, all 3 servers are active at pretty much all the time. They all have good communities I would imagine. Being on SoR I like it and always enjoy fighting BG/jq in the matches. Any of the top 3 will work tbh.

I had this issue. Swapping to windowed full screen seem to correct it for some odd reason. Will report if it is still happening.

Transferring servers is big money for them. Thus they invented Leagues and introduced Bloodlust to sell more gems as people would be desperate to get out of a bad situation.

A lot of WvWers also bought gems to buy siege, food, bomb finishers and transmute stones. They are on average just as profitable as PVE players.

Are you planning on answering the question or just going to post your opinion on leagues and not come back? Either one works for me.

My condi mesmer crushes everything underwater. There is no one that even comes close, including necro. But I cant think of even 10 times I was required to be in only water during the game.

WvW players point of view/ideas thread.

GW2 makes money with gem sales. I would bet that wvw players are the lest profitable playerbase for them. Outside of transferring servers, what would you be willing to spend money on in the gem store as a wvw player? More armor skins? Toys? Boosters? Minis? Finishers?

I can’t think of one thing I would spend any money on. Maybe an armor skin?

Let’s get/give anet some ideas on what wvw players would like to see. If wvw made anet more money, they might listen to our community a bit more. Let’s face it, wvw players are a Different breed. I have no need for an unlimited gathering tool, or a flute, or town clothes. Toss out some ideas here. Let’s hear them.

I dunno. I have been invited into teams with riot/opp for random 1v1 a bunch in the past. All were very nice. I used to get mad when riot would pick me off 6v1, then I realized I didn’t care. They both are fun to fight even numbers.

I can always find a spot/role for every class in my groups.

Guardians can tag the most ppl in a large fight(read: easy to get loot). They are very durable and overall can be versatile. You can never have too many.

Underplayed and needed? Mesmer and to a lesser extent staff ele on the server/timezone I play.

Zerging around = life steal on crit. Compotes are completely outclassed and pointless IMO.

Smaller ops/roaming = lemongrass, mango pies. Depends on who I keep running into, condi or burst. Also, condi duration on necro.

Think of these very, conservative numbers.

Let’s say 10sec bleed, 100 damage a tic. 40% makes that a 14 sec. Or 400 extra damage.

Let’s say you crit me for 2000 damage. Very, very easy for any class to do this. Let’s make crit damage food 40%. 2800 damage…

With that in mind, I can negate all of the extended duration or that bleed with 1 food. I also have 10 seconds to react to the damage of the bleed before the food increases the damage. I can heal or even remove the bleed.

I can’t do that with a direct crit. Sounds balanced to me right now.

Yes. Perplexity runes need toned down. That is the only problem with conditions right now.

Taking out the score from wvw not only makes the tier system would not work making it even more unbalanced as it already is.This also will change nothing, if you want to play without caring about score just don’t look at it simple as that. As far as breaking tiers, no. Take scoreboard away from players, it can still be tracked server side to keep server ranks in check.

Population is also much less or an issue on EU compared to NA. EU is more spread out. Rank is about coverage. Look at rank 1 EU compared to rank 6 rating difference. Now look at NA. Thanks.

Because it is there for condi spam. You can’t have a weapon that applies decent bleed duration do great direct damage. You have take away the condi on it before they buff it, and that would make me sad.

I think tpvp takes no skill. Build bunker, stand on one spot.

Anet wants spvp to be an esport. It fails as an esport, lack of players.

They are now forcing spvp into other parts of the game. Good on roamers having something new to do though.

I don’t know. Extensive testing would have to be done if stealth was to be changed and I think thief would get screwed over too bad. The whole class would need rebalanced, and I doubt anet would commit the resources.

Double edged sword either way. We have lived for over a year as it is, and it pains me to say, leave it alone.

I don’t want warrior’s mobility nerfed. As I said before, killing the mobility of a class kills the fun of it for me. Which is why I abandoned ele and just use my warrior now. It’s far too slow now and can’t even bunker anymore after all the nerfs. It only has one viable build left which is the gimmicky burst build that forces you to blow all your utilities and leaves you standing there completely helpless after you throw everything at them. and anyone with half a brain will know to dodge right after they see you use hurl and the entire burst will miss and you can kill them in one hit because they have NO defensive options in that build.
I’d much rather see the slower classes have more mobility options to be brought up to warrior’s level. NOT nerf warrior down to their crappy slowness.

Risk vs. Reward. You don’t hit someone, you lose nothing. You hit someone, you do more damage than now. You have to make a choice.

You can’t just buff everyone and never balance, or “nerf” as you call it. If you buff everyone to have the same mobility as a warrior, your warrior no longer has any mobility.

So, you stun someone, swap to GS, press 100b. Fast CD on stuns and 100b, long CD on stability and/or stun breaks.

Been around for a while, nothing has changed. Stings and burns when I get caught w/o stability or a stun break. The reason people complain? It is basically a fool proof spec. If you can press 3 or 4 buttons, you can crush people. It takes almost no skill to use.

I think they will make the weapons tradeable when armor is introduced as well.

Remove the scoreboard. There is no point for players to see it. You can keep it on the back end with a rating system to keep equal(ish) servers fighting each other.

Sure, I like to win just like anyone else. I don’t take a tower for the ppt, I take it for the challenge/fights that attacking an enemy gives me. Large fight, small fight, 60v60 or 5v5 it doesn’t matter.

Take away the “points” for a tower. Make towers have a strategic value instead of a point value. (Sure they have it now, but no one uses/sees It). Yes, people will take and hold towers because of their strategic value instead of points.

This would be the first, basic step to improving WvW as a whole. Adding leagues and giving the winner (read:best coverage servers) benefits for massive stacking is a terrible, terrible idea.

Let’s start with basics first. Worry about zerging in a bit. This is a quick change that could be implemented for a week or 2 then monitor the results. I think it will change the way people play wvw. Zerging will go down a little bit IMO.

If change is positive, move to next issue. If change is negative, make changes until it is positive. I don’t know how anet wvw devs work, nor pretend to, but from a customer point of view, you guys have done almost nothing to improve and/or expand wvw game play for a year. Sure, wvw has had updates but compare wvw changes/fixes/additional content to the living story and tell me I am wrong.

DEs were dead a month after release. Champ loot didn’t kill them.

1 month ago, I leveled a ele from 1-70 by doing hearts/quests. After queensdale, I saw less than 10 people in the world, total, for almost 2 weeks time.

At least I see people in zones now, even if they are just killing champs.

They took away every form of farming. People complained about empty zones. They add reasons to kill champion mobs, people complain. If they Nerf champ loot again, empty zones.
