So, I have no issues with it in wvw roaming. It counters the Dire armor users. I can just hop into DS and get them below the threashold in rabid. Quite quickly. As far as spvp, I dont do it, can’t comment on it.

I will agree fights are harder now. Oh well. I also agree that the condi should be applied but no damage done. Makes sense to me, but I dont think it will happen. Maybe a build adjustment is in order. But is is only 1 class…

Every server has them. They are extra angry and bitter on SoR these days after leagues are over. Kinda funny.

No one likes a Nerf to their own class. It happens.

Lower the damage or tonedown/remove the CC or remove the survival. Anet toned down the damage. You can’t have everything at the same time.

Adjust and move on.

Depends on the size of the group you are running with and the comp.

Heavy ranged, sub 20 people, yeah, I think a spot could be made. More useful? Ehhh.

5 man roaming/havoc… Eh, the single target burst is nice and I would hate to lose it. Very situational. Slightly more viable, but not much more.

Infusion of Shadow deserved the Nerf.

Sword Nerf is horrible. Smack the person who thought return need a cast time…

Vigor Nerf sucks overall.

Combined all 3 together… And that is where you have a problem. Less dodges in all specs. Less stealth. And gutting sword. S/X is gone. Not only does return have a cast time, you get less vigor time for dodges.

You will not see sword thieves anymore. D/P will almost die out (it was a cheese spec, deal with it). What do we have left? Aggressive D/D that lots of d/p will hate and p/d attrition build that is effective but most will hate it. (Some p/d do ranged I play it in your face like a d/d)

And what did we get? A slight base ini regen? /shrug
Not sure the reasons behind all 3 of the nerfs at once. Should have started at infusion first and let it settle for a bit. Sword/x was not OP. Vigor was fine.

There was also the SoR Ele (Bronze Colonel in [XPK]) that kept “bugging” into that tower multiple times before that. No biggie, really, but it reflects poorly on a server and/or its guild(s).

I was using FGS to damage the gate as fast as possible but I ’’bugging’’ inside tower. And I immediately jump out after that, I neither try to kill BG nor siege inside that tower.

The last time I saw you do it was right before the gate went down (T3 Sunny), but you weren’t the reason it flipped so easily, and it wasn’t what Mez was referring to. I think some time afterwards, it flipped again very quickly, and (supposedly) without any siege. I don’t really know what happened there.

Maybe… A class with the ability to portal people was hiding in the tower? No…. Too far fetched. More reasonable explanation is one ele hacked/glitches past the gate… It would take an ele ages to successfully solo a keep lord and survive.

T1 gonna have lots of large blobs But there are some real gems. T2 servers as well.

Check gvg rankings. See who does lots. Speak with them. To find the right fix for you, you are really going to have to do lots of legwork.

Large group used to be heavy condi based. It shifted away when they nerfed confusion, it will shift back soon enough.

Also, you give ppt too much credit. We play for fights. Sometimes hitting a tower is required to get a fight. PPT is about coverage, not skill. You will see a bunch of organized guilds shift over to Mists and not look back and others do a 50/50 split.

By large scale condi, you mean necros? Because there isn’t another class who can actually do it large scale with more than 1 condi. I’ll pass. Take away aoe cleanse and you have everyone running melandru and -% condi food. Which makes condi pointless again.

Wait for edge of the mists. I think wvw is going to get less blob centric and you may see a shift into more condi specs.

To make condi stronger in larger groups, you will make them stronger in smaller groups, were they are already powerful. It is a crap shoot of a balance act. I dont think it can be done tbh.

What happened on BGBL with sunny changing red in under 30seconds was out of order, your just lucky the BG map didnt want to fight fire with fire. [TID] sort it out, dont know what server you xfered from but pls dont pull stunts like that again.

On SoR, I welcome the “pugs” you speak of. The people who complain on my server about it…. Lol outmanned on 2 maps, kitten pve people clogging up the queues on only 2 maps!

We run our 15-20 man group against constant 40+ groups and have found that the tanky Doesnt work well for us. We go more DPS heavy melee train. Warriors run hammerstun, with valk/cav mix gear. Guards run valk/cav shout. Few eles run celestial, random necro peppered in for good measure and ideally 1 mesmer.

Proper movements and resets with water fields keep us up. No we dont win every fight, but it is a blast and nice tp get away from map blobs.

The builds/comps come in time. Everyone e is different. You need to find 15-20 people who are willing to die over and over to find that magic mix that works for you. That is the real challenge.

I vote Nyx from [PD] on SoR.

Responds to every call for help. Defends/upgrades/sieges up anything needed. She drinks. She talks dirty to me and I am president of the Nyx fan club and the number 1 member.

Yes, the committee has changed the “not buying guilds” stance because a majority of the guilds represented said go ahead. On how the committee is represented it’s been repeated many times through channels and server reset meetings. Again, there’s no secret. No high/war council, it’s just a simple setup of committee to help the community and Indo has given his blessings and still remains the Speaker.

I am sorry that you feel excluded. Hope to see you in game more often.

What you mean SoR is taking necessary steps to better your server by helping interested guilds with the costly process of transferring? Sarcasm aside you, as a “Concerned SoR citizen” should stop spreading the “buying guilds” garbage and realize that regardless of how you define it, other servers are willing to help with transfer costs. Weather you or others agree or disagree with it is irrelevant, its happening, sadly adapt or possibly die.

This is a mostly guild force all on teamspeak. Just new to working on this scale. So I guess it will be a lot of trial and error. We are blasting static for speed. We do have a formed front line group. Have not tried the surround and pound. So far it has been flank attacks, pursuit, or passing and turn into them.

With a 80 man group, doing anything more that that is going to be a cluster fk and hurt you more than help.

You can steer an 80 man group, you can’t control it on the level you want. A swarm of locusts. Devour everything in your path.

Then people won’t defend! 80% of people dont defend a non t3 tower. Ppl will adjust, then defend because that is where the fights are. Playing PPT, coverage wars is boring to most of us.

Instead of “server 1 is 150k points ahead, why bother with wvw?” It is"let’s fight and see if we can kill people"

With a group that size, move out of enemy first push 1. Yeah, that simple. Now, 20vs50 is where some tactics come into play.

Learn your enemy. Learn your force. Try things. One tactic will work well against an EB zerg, but not a 30 man organized guild. Honestly, dont over think it. Movement and position are key and they will come with practice.

hmm. didnt think about that. sorry, i guess I haven’t joined your ranks as a pessimist. I didn’t think that people would actually do that. I just spent about 20 minutes earlier building up siege in the garrison and when I came back from dinner, they were all gone. I guess there really isn’t any way of being prepared in terms of siege other than upgrades to the general keep, and then siege building right before, or during defense. Or we have squads on defense. But wvw isn’t strategic play enough for that. More of a duck duck goose game than chess or risk.

Respawn time is 1 hour. The is for building up d though. I wish more people would.

1. Fix the ability to get into jerrifers by “bypassing” the gate. This should take 5 minutes to block/shrink the ledge.

2. Fix WvW awards. Why does a 10 minute dungeon run award me with 1g, but a 1 hour keep take gets me crap? 1 tower, 1 keep, 1 SM per day for extra rewards. Like a dungeon path. Ppl will come to wvw, do it and leave. Some might stay. (Increasing queue for stacked servers isnt my concern).

There you go. Small steps that have been ignored for more than a year.

Only command and move. Forget your skills exist. Once you get talking down during the battle, add your skills back in. Your job as the commander is to command and survive.

Tip 2:
Do not tell people your plan 10steps in advance.
“Well…. We gonna take golanta, then loop over to tap klovan, then WC then rogues then Anz then hit pang…”
You open yourself to idle chatter, backseat commanding and people get lazy, auto run and dont react to the surprise enemy group around the corner.

Example:
“We are hitting golanta and moving ASAP”
Run past klovan, tap please, keep moving.
Get Into rogues, as flipping call out “into dredge, flip it”
Keep your commands/plans on a need to know basis, this is a morale thing as well.

Learn to read a map and enemy movements.
