I don’t understand why they haven’t implemented a build template saver/sharing option. This was something incredibly useful in GW1 and I expected to have this the moment they ditched the re-trait costs. Why they haven’t implemented this in the first place? Maybe we will see this in the future.

Good detail work etc. but I don’t like it.

Are you still talking about the price? I mean 50€/$?
My flat costs about 2’200€/month. When I eat at MacDonalds, I pay 11€ for one meal, I go out for dinner, I pay about 50-70€ for one person alone.
Okay, I may live in an expensive country, but you can sink thousands of hours into this game while a dinner is maybe 3 hours.
There will be future discounts for sure.

They are awesome! Can’t imagine how cool it will be to fly to those remote super high places!
Do we know if the biomes are in different instances? This would take away a lot of immersion… It already bugs me that we have zoned areas instead of one huge instance.

But I enjoy raiding, and even if only a small part (i.e. 5-10%) of the playerbase loves raiding/hard content, then why not? As I already mentioned: in this MMO you can still get max stat gear. This is rather unique and we have already a kittenload of skins available for everyone.
For example: I have a friend who returns to the game be cause of raiding.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
Some attacks are a bit unforgiving, downing me as zerk reaper in RS form dealing 29k damage is absurd. This works in single player games – name a few: God of War, Devil May Cry, Dark Souls, Bloodborne etc. but we are in a zerg where visuals blur everything. In my opinion such boss battles should be easier and the hard stuff in raids/dungeons.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
Anet is extremely fair what they give to you as a non-raider/dungeoneer. You still can get max stats items. Let us at least exclusive skins – it’s the least they can do, or the instance will end up what we have with Aetherpath (yeah I know they have exclusive skins, too, but with horribly low RNG-drop rate.)

I like the new system. Finally there is something for people who missed UW, FoW etc. from the old game.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
Why not? The people who want those tracks the fastest for all characters (remember: it’s account bound) are the first ones who would complain there’s nothing left to do after completion.
Why has everything to be so fast? Just play the game and eventually you’ll get what you want. Alas this is an MMO, it’s not supposed to be a walk in the park and finished in 10 hours like a single player console game.

“If Mordremoth can attack the mother tree in the Grove, he can attack anywhere!” During selling in Silverwastes. My god, this guy tells that every 30 seconds, it’s so annoying.

As usual not much time (metal open air near my place), but I’ll re-take the role of my already created reaper and smack my GS in the enemy’s faces :-)
I’ll also make a berserker. Looks most fun of the newly announced ones. I won’t play too much (3-5 h the whole weekend) , since I don’t want to spoil the release for me.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
Er what? Have you ever played a (AAA)-MMO in your life? It’s totally normal that new content/features are locked behind the new expansions. In WoW they can’t even access the new continent. They are ‘left behind’ and there you even have to pay for the expansion and monthly fees.

Will this expansion address issues in PvE?
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
Posted by: ProtoGunner.4953
OP: they were preparing the expansion the past year, so that’s why we didn’t have a lot of updates. ‘Abandoned’ is a very strong word and isn’t true. It’s true for the dungeons, which is strange and sad, but we know that since about 2 years…
‘would of been’ —> wrong
Yeah, that’s what I meant with farming titles, there was asura, norn, ebon vanguard, the dwarf one and one other? And they weren’t even account wide. You had to farm every single time, you brought a new character to those regions.

I had a Wiener Schnitzel and a beer last Saturday with friends. In my country this costs around 40$. It took about 2 hours and I still think it was worth it. If people think 50$ is too much, I can’t help it.
There are tons of single player games I paid 70-99$ on consoles which you finish within 10-15 hours, all God of War games, Gears of War, Uncharted, Last of Us. Some last even for only 6 hours – like Heavy Rain. They were all full priced games back then. No one was complaining that you finished it withing 10 hours. So, what the hell do people expect, a solar system to explore?
‘would of been’ —> wrong
GW1 never raised the level cap during expansions, your older lvl 20 chars never became “underpowered” because the “maximum” stayed at lvl 20. Sure extra char classes and content was added but what you had was not de-valued.
I think ANet are being sneeky and de-valuing existing chars/accounts in order to force people to buy HoT, masteries are being sold as new-content when infact they are the new level 80.
Thoughts? (keep comments on-topic or take your worthless troll-opinion elsewhere :p)
You had the title tracks in GW1 and without them some builds were rather hard to maintain. This was a huge grind, especially the Luxon/Kurzick title.
And as if progression in an expansion is bad? What is bad about this? Why sneaky? You see demons where there no are. Don’t put the devs into a shady light, it’s just unfair.

JUN YANG, first of all. Please learn the plural s. Multiple items are called maps, sets or weapons. It’s an extremely simple rule and much easier to learn than in other languages and makes your posts less painful to read.
See it this way: you only pay 50 bucks once, you will get the content that will released post release for free.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
No one likes to pay if it was initially free. Yeah, I can fully speak for all that this was a bad move. Or do you think it is good, that those people who couldn’t be or haven’t been online for whatever reasons have to play? If so, please give me some positive arguments, logically presented, unbiased and without any fanboy anger and teenage angst.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
Same, I still have to get used to the class, but I myself was underwhelmed by the class during beta weekend. I will max one of course, but first I will play with my Reaper :-)
‘would of been’ —> wrong
Zerker means you have to know how to mitigate/prevent damage. If you die often in an easy dungeon like TA the group was just kitten and you were the one to blame. The little more DPS you got with full zerk didn’t make a big difference.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
This is something I get strong feelings about. A lot of guild mates playing the game in a similar way than me got 3-6 precursors (around 3-4k hours playtime) just through playing.
I myself never had single drop, more so I dumped items worth 1-2k gold into the forge to get no single precursor. It seems like I am doomed. And although I know this will change for the future it seems so unfair? I mean if a colleague or coplayer gets 1 precursor in this time, okay, but 6? And me nothing? It just seems kittened up.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
Yeah but the use of the sword is annoying to play and not intended gameplay. Does not mean it can’t be used. I prefer GS, much more easier to use and 90% of all stuff I do it’s more than enough.

We all know that the season 2 fees to pay was a bad move. It made many customers angry. That said: you can buy those episodes (which are only 200 gems anyways) with in game gold which is not too much.

My words. First time Arah Story I was like WTF? What were they thinking? To be honest I am sure they aimed for an epic battle with different stages etc. But ran out of time and you can clearly see that they had to rush the game to release it before Mists of Pandaria launched.
I really hope they go for an epic several-stage boss battle with Mordremoth.

Have you tried logging in with /clientport 80 to see how the tp reacts ? Worth a shot perhaps.
I’ll check that out. I noticed that I can still sell items and then access the TP without problems. It’s a workaround but not really comfortable.

Yeah, using it all the time. Either the buff, a trait or the sigil. I think running around on foot is boring and I wish we had mounts. Anyway since this is not gonna happen, I stick to speed buffs.

Now, necroing since it’s an actual topic: it seems my ISP updated to IPv6 and since then I can’t access the the Trading Post.
I tried to solve this problem with this support answer:
https://help.guildwars2.com/entries/92949348-Trading-Post-Troubleshooting
Right after deleting this folder the TP was completely inaccessible, though I haven’t waited for 2h. I’ll check if the problem is resolved.
However, I read there’s a problem with the IPv4/IPv6 and TP. Anyone else a problem with it?

I am levelling my 2nd necro and use mostly dagger/focus in PvE. I hate using 99% of all fights just end up with using skill 4 on arrival (focus 4) followed by auto attack dagger 1.
Well, out of 5 skills only 2 are useful. It’s horrible. That’s a huge disadvantage of this game and with its weapon skills. I really hope they’ll add some additional skills for existing weapons.

The integration of breathers were kitten anyway. Anet should have made a quest where you have to ‘earn’ the breather to constantly breathe underwater. Instead we get this breather from the beginning and if you take it off, you still can breathe underwater. This is so cheap and rushed like sadly a lot in this game.
The idea to just have skins and keep the head gear would make sens imo if they aren’t willing to give us a nice and smooth underwater content anyway.

There are a lot of bad ranger players indeed. Most I see run around camping LB #1 and bear. They don’t do anything else. It makes me mad to see them everywhere.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
Why do we need such threads every couple of days? There are a kitten ton out who say the same as you said.
Look for ‘80 exp’ parties and you won’t have any problems. They are usually a bit easier to play with and not much slower than a metazerker group. I run ranger from time to time and didn’t have any issues.

They’re fine in dungeons, but they have a bad reputation be cause of the immense amount of Bearbows running around.

Most comments in this thread are unbelievably childish. Only be cause you don’t like the skin of a warhorn you bash it to the ground… I am pretty excited to be honest and it will be the 1st or 2nd (either shiro revenant or tempest) to try out during the beta.
What? Childlish? Because we don’t like Tempest? So what, that are our opinions. As you can see most people don’t like Tempest, because of many reasons. Not just warhorn. You can’t force us to like it.
PS: Warhorn (skills) is probably the best thing on Tempest, which is sad, because it still need a lot of work.
Sorry, I mean the harsh comments like ‘utter trash’ and ‘not buying expansion’ etc. This isn’t directed to the ones who just don’t like it. I had rather fun time to play it though.

I played a male asura reaper and it was pretty fun. I admit though that – especially in reaper shroud – the voice should be deep and intimidating, maybe with some cool effects like we know it from Ghostbusters.
