Gliding doesn't work well enough when you lag

Online games do not work well enough when you lag.

I never managed to get gold on bugs and tenrdils, find them hard, yet you all rate them rather low. How the kitten do i get gold for tendrils, I am always running out of time. And I am by no means an unexperienced jump n run platform gamer.
Edit: okay watched a video, seems I missed a lot at the beginning (ceiling and inside the airship).

I never watched it, I just play the game. My advice: just play the game, don’t care about such details. Guys, wake up, it’s a kittening game, really. Reading this forum is a pain. In game everyone is having fun and although I already played around 200h I am not burned out, and now I am excited for raids.

Questioning Dragon Stand loot phase design
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
Posted by: ProtoGunner.4953
This is clearly an issue I noticed myself. Be cause the time is so limited no one is caring for the bosses. The idea behind it is similar to SW where you kill some champs for loot. But the issue here is that those Pods only appear during this very limited time. Then you have to wait/fight another 2h which is bad design.
I see two solutions:
1. Noxious Pods are available anytime
2. Give us more time after we finished this map’s meta event or even as long as we want. The map closes anyway so it is irrelevant what happens to this map and people will eventually leave since noting happens here anymore (unless I overlooked something here, correct me if I am wrong)
‘would of been’ —> wrong
It’s a special map and can’t compare with others. It’s one huge event there, exploration is done very fast. After doing the event 2 or 3 times (lane north, central and south) I explored everything.

Blinds, aegis and stability.
Just play it, it will be viable. Can’t imagine they make a class that won’t be viable. Can’t understand the constant fear of it is not super duper min max optimal etc. You will play in organized raids anyway, with friends/guild. They’ll accept you, be cause that’s the most important thing.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
Only at the beginning, during events, 20-50mins into the meta event you can’t find any single LFG for it. Maybe if you have friends. But go there on cooldown, you will alway find maps in LFG with commanders.

CC is the answer of most problems here. I think you can prevent Gwyllion to insta down most players by CC him before he can use this skill. But we never managed to do it. He still dies all the time with full map.
I have the stealth skill, but I still wonder what exactly does make the difference to have the debuff to insta down you and what not? I don’t have it all the time.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
OP confuses something. He thinks he needs to gain XP in order to gain Hero Points. This is wrong. Just walk into the new areas and get all the Hero Challenges you can to unlock the Herald. I did so with my Revenant. I even insta leveled to 80 without any Hero Points left. After a day I had Herald fully unlocked.

Back in the days of GW1 I only ran dungeons for fun. Now it changed, it seems people are only running for reward.
It was a nice bonus to get gold, but it was way too much. Initially they introduced dungeons be cause they though it is hard endgame content. Over time it has been trivialized mainly by the community. Running an AC fullrun in less than one hour and netting approx. 5+ gold is absurd and total out of balance. You still get the tokens which can produce unbound exotics which usually sell for a couple – 1200g.
You have to see the big picture: we as players aren’t individuals, we are a mass of consumers and what this mass does is playing in the most effective way. Nerfs like this are done in order to balance the economy. As I already mentioned, you get gold out of nothing, it is generated. Unlike in SW where you mainly sell your stuff on the TP.

I always disliked the Night sigil, never used it, be cause you had to have different sets of weapons. This was silly. I like the change.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
True, horrible changes. Why change a working formula? The randomness is a kitten too. We don’t wanna do PvP kitten, we only wanna do PvE. So instead of doing 5 things every Sunday, we do 3 random PvE things. Since release of HOT I never did puzzle again, and puzzle is the one I love the most.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
LOL. There are events which are stuck for weeks, or such like the one in Cursed Shore, which is actually stuck all the time. I mean since I remember it. There is this one particular group which supposed to be an escort event which is stuck since the beginning of time. It’s so ridiculous.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
Only kitten players flame on this map. I am by no means a PvP player and I am not good at all, but even the 1st time I was here, I noticed the holes and could avoid it very easily.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
Ascended stuff is still best in slot. I run as full zerker druid, be cause healing is still good if it is needed (which is more the case now, since enemies hit very hard).
You may have a look at new gear combinations that came with hot. There are some with healing power and others

Happened to me, yesterday as I tried to enter a full Teq map, thinking I just land in a different instance. But no, item was used and I couldn’t teleport there. What a waste…
‘would of been’ —> wrong
You still can make money with farming SW etc. No, it was nerfed be cause it generated money out of thin air. Not money that was already in circulation which happens if you get mats and sell it on the TP.
You can still run the dungeons and use the tokens to buy exotic gear.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
I see here a problem, too. I think it’s stupid. It makes a huge difference if 5 players have protection (-33% damage) and the rest of those 5 players don’t.

I had a lot ‘oh snap’ moments, like the Wyvern Patriarch or the Mouth of Mordremoth. This alone for me is worth the investment.

They have the same voice actor as the Tengu males. But I don’t know him.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
Exactly, I like it too. Yesterday I found some new Mastery Point and other ways, you will find more and more the longer you run around and the higher tier your masteries are.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
It depends which level of mastery you are on, but if you started (i.e. you need around 500k XP) and you were running around for 5h and got 20% you did something completely wrong. I usually farm 500k within 1h, and do one mastery of 2.5 – 3 mio in one evening. Just find people or a group, and people are usually taxiing to active maps. Start with Verdant Brink. The first time you kill one of the canopy bosses is really satisfying :-)
‘would of been’ —> wrong
The map is really complex and convoluted. You have to get used to it and know the events. I was running around now for some time, and it gets better and better. Unfortunately, most people just skip this map at the moment. Hope there will be more people in the future.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
How did they nerf SW? Yesterday I did a run and it was like always.
Dungeon rewards were broken, get over it, they should’ve nerfed that years ago. You make money by simply playing the game.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
Use streaming client once you are in game (Press F11 and hit Streaming Client to idle or max on drop down menu).
I have a rather fast connection (50 mbit) and the game downloads very fast – usually 5-6 MB/s. I never wait longer than 5 mins. They did a very good job with this.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
Either way, if you have a normal human life (i. e. job, school, uni etc.) you will have rank 10-40 or something. I am rank 35, and out of my 500 guild I am among the higher ones. Don’t know what some people do with their lives…

Sword is very good. You’ll notice it if you go to Central Tyria and enemies die like flies.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
Lol, and I thought they gonna nerf it be cause I think it’s OP. Ever heard about balancing? Herald meh? WTF? You can keep up PERMA Fury, swiftness etc. with almost no downside. There’ energy management though. It’s cool to have o think about waht to do next, release a facet for it’s effect or energy? It’s rather complex, you get used to it but please don’t tell us it’s meh…

‘would of been’ —> wrong
Many would say Herald (revenant elite spec) but I’d go with Druid as you mentioned you like healing. Celestial Avatar is almost exclusively healer support and a welcome addition to harder boss fights. At least I like it, the new content is rather hard, mobs hit hard and you go down fast.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
Imo it’s two things in south/west:
- Targeting the bomb is annoying
- Too many and too annoying enemy mobs
‘would of been’ —> wrong
I did it with a Necro. The main issue is not the difficulty, the fighting phases are very easy and I had no issues. It’s the rather clunky flying phase – which is cool btw – with almost unavoidable throwing rocks. I have to fly from updraft to updraft between so how am I supposed to caper.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
Dear OP; I felt the same. Started this fight about 5-6 times, rather annoying. Finding out what to do is rather fast, but the 3rd flying phase is annoying. He hits you with a rock far too often, imo if you just fly around him this shouldn’t happen. The annoying thin is that if he hits you you are mostly instant dead.
The shielding or whatever was my other guess, too. Go to Braham and the others – yeah they are protected. But not you, wtf?
Also the encounter bugs out sometimes (rift in the air), and you have to die again which is not easy, since the NPCs try to heal you.

Interesting thoughts, I had similar thoughts on it. After beating ‘him’ I was quite sure that can’t be the end.
Also, if you read the last story section after finishing it, it says something along the lines of : we have to see what happens in the near future with those energy balls scattered across the jungle.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
Watching this Wyvern trying to kill the moving target is a pain, I really feel sorry. I will definitely swap it for my good ol’ jaguar. The bristleback looks good though.
Also, as a PvE player enemies usually don’t move that much, so it’s a not as much of a problem.

[POLL] Which is your LEAST fav map in HoT?
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
Posted by: ProtoGunner.4953
TD is the culprit of MMO crafting. It’s the top of complexity, ingenious design and craftsmanship. But I understand it’s very hard, the mobs are mostly utterly annoying and do sometimes too much damage. 27k shroom explosion or whatever it was on my heavy armored zerker rev is absurd. They really have to tone down some enemies. Also make the meta event a bit easier. Otherwise we will never see this map ever done on a regular basis.
I actually like hard content, but the problem here is, I can’t do it alone, no not even in a group, you need hundreds of people to do it and that’s the problem.

‘would of been’ —> wrong
Too easy lol. As long as you haven’t completed the Tangled Root meta event do not talk about l99 mobs.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
You have 20 skills to use with two legends and two weapons. Then, out of combat you can choose between 5(!) legends, which leads to a rather good diversity. Combining Glint with something else is rather complex. You also have to watch your energy management, which decides over life and DEATHHHHHHHHHHH – happened to use Impossiburu Odds until 0, I had to retreat with Riposting Shadows and had —- ZERO, so I go down.
