We have yet to see if they continue like this. Maybe there is another overhaul, think open minded. I see already a problem with all the additional symbols, imagine after another two expansion, do you really think we have 4 specializations = 36 subclasses? I am not sure…

I assume you only get the vials with higher fractal rewards, just demote the it to globs/shards:

I get about a vial every 2nd to third day I think. It’s pretty steady.

I use grenades ofc, but also scrapper hammer. It’s pretty strong and has some nice synergies like depleting break bars with skill 5 and skill 3, or if you need a heal, place a water field with healing turret or mortar 5 and smash it with skill 3 for a massive 3x area heal.

I did 161 about 1-2 months ago, don’t know why most ppl are so slow, made Astralaria and also made two of the profession specific weapons. I certainly have a bit problems finding HPs in TD but most I remember. Rest is easy to navigate/play. I like the complexity of the maps and they are certainly not tiny. What a crap you are talking about.
If you want to criticize something then that content is a bit scarce: no new fractals, no new dungeons, only 4 maps. You would expect 4-5 new dungeons and 2 full raids for an expansion. Also story could be longer, it starts good and ends extremely rushed, especially after you hit TD it’s so rushed, you won’t believe it. I was pretty disappointed. Do it better next time.

Many of us warned on this forum about the scam that represented this dlc. Given the flop in all areas of the game and the poor sales, many chose to not buy it and to quit playing gw2.
I read your posts from the past 3 years, there is only complaining, negativity and false accusations. What the kitten are you doing here? Just leave the game for good for kitten’s sake…
‘would of been’ —> wrong
It’s not that it is much easier if you ‘exploit’ it, just more convenient. And you don’t need to be really good to kill him on higher levels. As long as they don’t introduce interesting mechanics and/or lower his HP people will continue to kill him as convenient as possible.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
We do him normally on lvl77, but really, it just takes too long. It’s not hard, just tedious. I understand if players are looking for a convenient way to kill him. Lower his HP and introduce some new interesting mechanics.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
Just use it, doesn’t really matter in PvE openworld, I have Frostfang and Astralaria, looks nice. And in the end we also play for style/fun.

I don’t get it, I have a full time job and maxed masteries about 2 months ago, finished new Legendary a month ago. People just seem casual, uneffective and slow.

Ohhh nooo, I can’t speed past those pocket raptors as fast.
But seriously, those maps were quite difficult without stealth.
We joke about this, but I won’t lie. Putting pocket raptors mobs next to every other Flax node is half the reason I run Stealth Gyro. I just want to make some Linseed Oil without a reenactment of Jurassic Park.
Cast hammer 5 on pocket raptors, cast 3 in it, to daze all of them, use 4 and follow up with 2, all dead.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
Then again, same goes with DH, Reaper, Ranger, Warrior… haven’t played daredevil but I know thief, so I assume it is bit more complex as with mesmer. Really hard to master is only engi followed by ele with all the field combos etc.
I just wanted to point out that revenant isn’t just spamming 1, it is a bit more.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
it is a very hard profession to master
Aaaaaand that’s where I stopped reading. The best pve rotation for revenant was literally to just use sword auto, and nothing else. Revenant was bullkitten easy to play, and I say that as someone who has essentially mained revenant since HoT launch.
Bullkitten, you need to precast first all facets, release it right before fight, use CC if needed (name; glint elite and shiro elite). After that you had to switch to shiro, use impossible odds til running out or you had enough to unrelenting assault and/or using figid blitz. Depending on mobs you have to cast rift to align the mobs in order to max out efficiency with axe 5. You only do impossible odds and sword auto if you are super lazy and yes; there were kittenty players who did that all the time, but it’s not fun then and not remotely effective if you don’t use all the herald facets. Why would you even do that…
I don’t call it hard but you still have to manage a bit and time your skills to max out DPS and evade enemy attacks.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
Just did a 50+ run yesterday, we just played it normally – without swamp. You still have a high chance to get ascended boxes.
But I agree they should reduce the Mossman HP and his damage. It’s boring and annoying.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
A legendary should go into every aspect of dedication: grind, gold, skill, time. It’s completely arbitrary imo to complain about legendaries that they are too expensive or time intensive. It’s a vanity item, is not even better than ascended (contrary to other MMOs!), and hence not needed.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
Pretty sure it’s one of those mesmer bugs, where the polygons don’t stop after the casting. Not all players see it I think, it’s completely random
It may also be the following, also bugged out:

Unfortuantely, Esports is a big thing and some games are extremely popular which I don’t get. But there’s a lot of money to make. GW2 never achieved that and they are trying and trying. I understand why, though I think it’s too late/won’t ever happen. It remains a niche, GW2 will never achieve a popularity WoW had in the late 2000s or what Dota 2 and LoL is now.

You can replace the two gyros of course, depending on what you do. I like the damage of the blast gyro and the utility of the shredder gyro, but of course depending on the situation, you can take whatever you want.

I ususally was very lucky with my clovers, making sometimes 80 with about 12-15 tries. Then, for my latest Legendary Astralaria – I ‘wasted’ 280 (28 10-recipe rolls) of all the needed items only to get 50 mystic clovers. It was frustrating. RNG can be a kitten.

As a glider skin yes, though I cringe if I see someone running around with it. Just looks silly. Anyway, I was a bit disappointed that the skin doesn’t flap the wings during gliding.
Imo the Soul River is still the best glider skin out there.

I made Astralaria and the costs is not more than other popular legendaries. It is a vanity item and hence telling it is ‘too expensive’ is irrelevant.
This is about the new legendaries only, you can’t buy the precursor anyway, you have to make it yourself.
You are right about old precursors, where the process of making them is much more expensive than let’s say buying the minstrel precursor.

Many forget the advantage of megaservers. I was always on Gandara which is a populated one, but for those who almost had empty servers some world events were a pain. Also I don’t like to be alone on a whole map, just doesn’t feel right.
Another point is Chak Gerent – I did the event before the nerf together with the GW2community EU guys. It was a good experience. But imo the event was way off. Far too hard, I was about 20 hours on this map with no single serious try on it, be cause people completely ignored it. It was far too hard to organize and too unforgiving for it was a public event on a 2h cooldown. No, you are a small minority who wish to have a Chak Gerent that is nearly unkillable and who wants a home server. If you want community go to the meta events with a lot of people, I have no issue with it. Or go do the raid or dungeons with friends.
This ‘server price’ is an old remnant of separating people in groups like football fans (NOT US EGGBALL) who happen just to ‘hate the other guys be cause they just happen to be fans of the opposite club’ – ridiculous and for people who follow the common herd – and the likes going back what we had in the 2000s.
I beg to differ. I prefer to have a server pride. Anet should’ve done a better job monitoring server population and merging servers with low population.
Just because you dislike server pride, it doesnt mean everyone is like you.
Being football fan doesnt mean you have to cheer for every team out there, you pick and choose the team you like or dislike, that’s part of the fun.
Sure it is an idealistic point of view, I don’t think it is manageable with most human beings. So just be cause you picked a different server does make the opposite server ‘kittens’ in WvW (overexaggerating, I am sure for most people they are just enemies which is imo still bad)?
I just don’t like the scattered population on different server. I was actually surprised GW2 went this way, I expected first something like in GW1, there were no servers at all. It’s an old concept back from the 90ies.

One thing is trivializing the content, and another is making it reasonable.
If the balance between sources of the ore and costs of items that use it as a currency are not reasonable, getting each item feels like freaking taking down a wall of Azbantium
If I spend 2 hours in VB, I can buy one thing in the shops.
If I spend 24 hours in Dragon’s Stand, I can’t buy half a thing.
That is insane.
That’s not true, you get around 30-50 ores per 2h run, depending how lucky you are with the 10x nodes. I farmed myself easily 100 nodes with 3 runs. That’s about 360 ores in 24h for worst case.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
I use surnames since in GW1 you had to take at least two names. Also it gives more realistic names and variety imo. No one is just called Karn or Peter. They are Sir Peter the Impertinent or Karn from the Underwood. It’s so much better.
There are a lot of WoWerz here who think they only can use one name and the results are like Pétêr or Kârñ. Horrible, horrible or even worse: Karrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrn or Khaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan. How in God’s name can you name your character like this? What are those people really. Kills the whole immersion.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
I had about 4-5 ascended boxes in the last 3-4 weeks. Also a lot of rings and ofc all the loot you can sell for 15-20g.
What the kitten are you talking about reward nerfs.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
Are you kidding, OP? It’s so much better now. Rewards are better, you don’t have to do it in one run (1h or even more). The complaints were huge and now you come along and tell the old system was better…
There’s always a certain group of players which isn’t happy with something. Don’t push it as if it is the opinion of all. Most people enjoy it when I meet them online.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
Yes, the amount of stuff you need for guild hall is ridiculous. I mean the minis, wtf? Doesn’t make any sense. It’s like, look here a rice grain pay 100000€ for it. It’s so arbitrary.

Amalgamated Gemstones seem to be stable now. Prices of orbs etc are now on a rather stable 22-25s each. I think that’s exactly the place Anet wants to have them. And if this is true what Zudet wrote about Nevermore 2500g seems a reasonable price for a Legendary. I made Astralaria a couple of weeks ago and can tell you that it was quite fun. I used up about 1.5k – 2k g for it.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
Really no one has this bug who got Astralaria? I saw another player which has bugged out too. I just wonder if it is on my end, hence no one else complaining/reporting a bug.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
Doom and gloom post. And the complainers fill the board again.
Here is what I have to say about this (not that it matters):
- Bad rewards: got Astralaria, Yggdrasil, Fix-r-Upper, 6 ascended gear/weapon boxes
- Playtime: about 500h, maxed out Revenant, Reaper, Berserker, Druid, Scrapper and Dragonhunter
I will proceed the natural way and start with raiding soon. As I have now several almost fully ascended geared protagonists to achieve the goal. I am eager to do this. No, it’s really not that bad guys. Many forget all the little improvements we got. I can’t speak bout PvP and WvW since I almost never play those. As of WvW Colin Johansson told us in the last Guild Chat that the overhaul takes a lot more time than expected.
About PvP balancing, I really have no idea since I don’t play PvP, but what I read in forums of any competetive game with different classes is that they always complain about imbalances.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
The fight itself is easy, it’s rather the glitchy behavior of the mechanics that make it hard. The shield really doesn’t help, which is stupid lorewise. You have to use the updrafts but even then the random rocks that hit you can knock you down and reset the fight be cause you almost always instant die. I don’t know if it is still like this.
I needed about 6 restarts, about 3 of those were due to the glitch that the -whatever it was portal/rift thingy- you had to go was in the air be cause the floating island was breaking apart and didn’t reset properly. Also that you have to start the fight anew is annoying since the boss has rather high healthpool with scripted sequences.
I thought it would be fun and it’s actually a cool fight but rather broken. It’s very game-consolesque and reminds me of the typical Devily May Cry and God of War style games during the PS2-3 era which I loved.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
By no means they should stop with expansions. It’s so much better than this Living World we had before (Season 2 wasn’t that bad though).

Three years of playing, thousands of hours, I hoarded every orb, crest and dubloon , barely enough for me to make one single legendary weapon, Nevermore. Another three for another legendary? Nevermore.
It is excessive.Psst you can buy them on the TP.
I’ve made ten of first generations legendary weapons, buying one single precursor and very few materials. That’s my way. I know the value of time.
You must have a lot of time…

The problem is that the Revenant causes damage in PVE only with AA, other skill on sword has zero DPS and Unrelenting Assault fail 70% of cases + other weapon set has low DPS like noodle.
Warrior has in raid 40k DPS other class maybe 25k !!!! Where is warrior DPS nerf ?
LOL? Fails 70% of cases? Rarely I read such a bullkitten. I played herald for around 400h now in PvE and it fails maybe in 5% of the cases.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
Just play whatever you want… I ran with reaper, herald, DH in 50+. You really should take the best what you can play if you go for 60+. You rather take a good herald player which is easier to DPS than a bad Engineer (I am not really good as Engi, but it’s fun to play).
‘would of been’ —> wrong
I pugged lately and I always create my own group, sometimes with 1-2 guildies together and a) we never encountered a pole mossman (which I don’t care anyways) and b) we do mostly one swamp the recommended and a boss.
I just can’t understand this lackluster complaints here. It really seems this forum is just full of whiny kiddies.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
They ‘balance’ unused stuff by mechanics like this. It’s a horrible idea, especially that they make items completely underused to super-overused. I am lucky and finished my legendary a couple of weeks ago, I could buy the orbs for around 15-17s each. They are now near 30s…
I point out the Elonian leather too. The fact that many people are now HOT maps where there is nearly no way to get to the low tier leather is beyond me. You can easily play 2-3 weeks and still don’t have the mats to produce one single Elonian leather because ‘balancing’ excess by making it super-demanded is just a bad idea.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
The Central Tyria content is a complete joke. Though I think there are a few mobs and mobs’s attack that should be nerfed a bit like the frog attacks or the mushroom explosions I generally like the difficulty of the new maps.
