I agree that the ratio between gem shop items added and in game items/skins added is ridiculously high. This should be addressed.

But always remember, there are two significant ‘fair’ facts about those items:

- it is fluff
- you can buy them with your earned in game gold (yeah I know at the moment it is very expensive, but you can)

MMOs is all about long term goals. Also guild halls isn’t the biggest feature, it’s the raids, the masteries and the new specs.

The expansion is out for about 2 months… My experience from complainers is as follows: new releas/feature, crybabies everywhere 6-8 months later: ’THERE’S NOTHING TO DOOOOOO.’

Oh and about black desert; goes down the same road with every single korea grinder and other stuff people were talking about. 1-3 months into it and it’s going back to niche. Remember Wildstar, Archeage etc.? You see people even talking about?

You forgot Aetherbalde Retreat dungeon. I never understood why the removed those two (the other is the molten one) from the world map, shortened and cut them in pieces and crammed them into fractals. Also there is a new dungeon for Twilight Arbor called Aetherpath which never was really popular be cause they filled it up with gimmicky gameplay so it was too hard to be run for normal PUGs.

Other than that:
Past: good first impression, fun leveling for the first time. Rather boring after it, no challenging content, only thing to do was making a legendary.

Present: much better, finally some hard daunting content, I love the feel that I just can’t faceroll something with randoms.

Future: With more raids and maps added there will be a rather good future. Population seams healthy and so their gem shop/income.

On a sidenote: the monetisation is taking overhand sometimes, keep in mind to not upset your consumers.

I am fine that ascended is recommended for raids. But the prices are insane at the moment. There is something broken with the whole ascended crafting and that’s resources needed from low level areas. And those are getting more and more expensive.

You can farm and level or whatever for weeks and months in the new areas and run have almost zero low level mats do to the fact that they won’t drop there. This is a kittenty system, really. I get extremely mad every time I want to craft new ascended stuff only to see I have a kittenload of elder wood but zero or next to zero green wood.

I am pretty sure they will lower the difficulty be cause the metrics (people in map, successfully completed meta in % of tries) must be horrible

I never had a DS fail, just go when the global reset is. Some ppl just seem to be too stupid to understand such mechanics.

Whining reaches new levels every day, and I dislike the common errors: the original game was 60€ and the expansion is 45€, so not the same price.

But it’s true that HoT is a bit on the short side. 4 maps is the absolute minimum, 5 to 6 is what I expected. Also: no new dungeons, not even new fractals. WoW for example adds usually 6 – 8 new dungeons and 2 – 3 raids in an expansion. With more to come later.

Updates in the Crafting???

Prices are skyrocketing, it is absurd… what the hell are they thinking? All the leather resources needed for the elonian leather is absurdly expensive, sometimes 6x expensive as it was before hot. As if this kittening crafting wasn’t expensive enough. What the hell are you gonna tell all the new players which are confronted with absurdly high prices that were in line before?

It was a bad idea to include lower tier mats for highest tier armor… You go to the HOT maps and get no single low mat drop. No you have to kittening buy it off the TP for ridiculously high prices. If their plan was to buy gems to convert to gold I think this is a very questionable method to increase revenue…

A guild hall is for a guild, not for 3 players. Also, the guild hall is not much content, it’s just a huge area with nothing in it (well with fluff in it if it’s filled with… fluff like a chair you can’t even sit on).

Besides the +% food the tavern guy gives me, and cheap transportation to the Magus Falls, I don’t need it.

The skins. The entire purpose of this game behind a wall of friends I don’t have. If it was all just a place to run around, I wouldn’t give a rat’s kitten . It’s not about buffs (though 10% xp, karma, etc is nice when you’re leveling or farming… It’s about the skins we won’t have. It’s about the principle of the thing…

Content gating can suck my butt.

Not every game and game’s content can satisfy everyone’s need, deal with it. This is an MMO and it follows mostly the guidlines of an MMO. Why can’t people accept this? I don’t like those skins actually, but yes, this is an argument.

9/10, like the initial levelling and XP farm. I am soon done with HOT masteries, a lot to discover and I discover more and more with new masteries. The maps are huge, complex and well crafted events are unique in this game. I am sure it gets copied by a lot other MMOs (like they did with events).

I think this expansion is for people who like old school challenges to overcome and exploring. Unfortunately, with more and more people starting to play games toxicity, whining and complaints are more and more filling forums etc. See this thread.

A lot of your rant is totally overexaggerated and out of place or just personal point of view/opinion. Like it is all with those rants.

World events are easily done by checking the map starting meta events. Just check the LFG. Also, you are playing an MMO, of course you are only a small part of a whole thing. Otherwise there are tons of singleplayer games.

You are right with fractals though: nothing new, pretty silly. They should’ve added 3-4 fractals at least for release. Though I am sure they will add some in the future.

I want to repeat it again and again: DON’T kittenING PLAY FOR THE REWARDS!!! Play for fun for kitten’s sake! The rewards are fine anyway, what do you want? A legendary after completing every tiny event? Come on!
