Problem is I am 1200+ rank and playing from 2012, casual roaming, and I will surely need like 2 years to be 2k rating.
2k is just too much cause its not even legendary armor.
I think it should be 1500 cause lots of players are still above 1k who play this game every day. Only hardcore players 24/7 have more than 2k rating. Plus there are greatly income of pve players which this making more difficult.
But on the other hand this is first wvw update after 2,3 years so we are looking on next update in 2,3 years….

I dont think so, tried armor looks on preview it does not show that effects.
edit: my bad its chest armor effect which does not work every time on preview.

Argh, I really hope it’s equal or close to DH. People saying “power you can play DH” but if the new elite specs are the new god mode specs then there’s no option.
HoT brought a Lot of CC with marginal sustains. DH brought Stability and marginal sustains with F2 and F3. The new elite could be just a mirror of some CC and sustains.
For a sales pitch, they will likely power creep the elites a ton load.
I hope f1,f2,f3 tome skills bring some:
F1 skills:
1# cripple
2# chill
3# burning
4# slow
5# imobilize
F2 skills:
1# regen
2# aoe heal
3# aoe vigor
4# aoe ressistance
5# enemy attack heal you
F3 skills:
1# aoe protection
2# aoe daze

desert bl is great but wp’s are just too far away. More WP’s or mounts needed.
It would be cool if spirit weapons augment guardians existing weapons in some way.
For example:
- Using the spirit bow augments your long bow attacks to heal. For example skill 5 performs the rain of arrows and rain of healing arrows. Also increases healing power.
- Using the spirit hammer gives extra cc to some of your hammer attacks. Increases power.
- Using spirit shield changes shield of judgment from a cone to a ricochet which grants aegis to allies and weakness to enemies. It also allows you to place shield of absorption anywhere in a radius instead. Increases toughness.
- Using spirit sword augments great sword attacks with burning. Increases condition damage.
Ill rather see them like gyros, low casting times, high uptime.
Guardian is kitten now. But I am used to play with kitten classes like enhancement shaman in wow right now.
Berserker is now Anets baby untill they get bored by it and nerf it like herald, tempest…
Lol warrior is still the best, you qq too much cause you enjoyed being too OP into being just OP. Deal with it you will get another nerf soon than you may cry

You should be nerfed by 30% more. Be happy cause they love you, still.
As for F2. Its healing needed a nerf badly. Pre-patch it was healing for about 2.3 times what virtue of resolve healed for. Which means that either virtue of resolve was ridiculously underpowered, or wings of resolve was ridiculously overpowered for being a secondary heal (on top of also cleansing 2 conditions and immob, and allowing for movement). Hell, it still heals for almost 2 times as much as virtue of resolve does, it still heals for too much in my opinion, but at least its healing was finally toned down.
Virtue of resolve is an instant skill.
Wings is a skill with 1 sec cast time which is interrupted in 80% situations, it should be better heal.
They nerf heal, then give it an evasion for 1/4 sec.
They pretty much destroyed DH pvp, but I dont care this game mode is already dead to me but feel bad for DH’s in pvp.
lel you need to be nerfed for another 30% in all game modes.
They are pushing passives like this condition passive crap. Everything need to be passive I guess. 0 skill. No wonder pvp died, wvw is almost dead, pve borring grindfest.
Just tried it yesterday and today they nerfed it haha back to my old hammer sw/sh build
5k crits on a 6 sec CD and you think its underpowered? Do you just want it to be a OHKO skill, unblockable, unevadeable?
Thats in wvw so take 30% in pvp so lets say 3.9k crits in pvp. And thats like autoattack from Rev Hammer, autoattack from a warrior, autoattack from a thief….shall I continue?
For a 6 sec stationary skill it seems and feels like crap.
6 sec cd with barely 5k dmg crits…..while Coescelence of Ruin still do 13k dmg to my DH with 3k armor, warrior still have their dmg plus axe buff, conditions more buffed on all classes….this balance team.
Shield of Courage: Decreased active duration of this skill from 4 seconds to 3 seconds. The cooldown has been decreased from 75 seconds to 60 seconds.

Problem with expansion is that maps are god awfull mazes which I don’t like. Who ever designed them is some sick jumping puzzle freak. Went with my Guardian main there only once and havent even came back. Tangled depths, oh my god….Awfull maps.
New expansion needs to be linear fun desert/oasis type with maybe some underground aspects like fire/lava caves with no mazes.
Best example of a good map is silverwastes.
Best example of bad map: HoT maps, Dry Top, this new map which I dont even know its name cause its lame maze underground map.

Fighting a guild-mate warrior in our arena. I think he has roughly 30 seconds of continuous resistance.
dont forget 30 sec of 2stack of stability and retaliation. Pretty much immune to everything.
Boon bots with extreme dmg. They should and must be toned down.
I hope firebrand brings some good healing defensives and dps and not all condi.
My sides when dude is acting like Vaanss and company weren’t easily doing 1vX with warrior back in s1 when warrior was kitten, or back before durability runs were meta.
Vaanss has like 17 roaming videos since HoT was released, a few as rifle, and some 14 as Axe/Shield + GS, long before dura was the build. As a matter of fact, I think only his last two videos even have him running durability, he was running Pack runes for a long time.
Get over yourself, guy. People are better than you, and it’s not just the class they play, or the current meta build carrying them. Vaanss was pulling 1vX before adrenal health and dura runes, back when warrior was dead. kittening. last. in every metric in pvp.
Nah berserkers now are passive bots. This won’t change my oppinion of them.

Recently came back to the game, met some new friends who started and started a new guild.
There is no structured group composition in this guild right now, the aim of the guild is to run about 5 people.
At the moment we are average 2-5 people depending on the timezone.However for the past 3 weeks since coming back I have not been having fun when roaming in WvW. I will simply outline the reasons why I think Roaming in WvW is a piece of (insert the word you like).
1. Condi pressure: It feels like there is no variety in the fights when it comes to roaming, it is a constant cycle of condition based thieves, and condition based mesmers. Admittedly, there are occasional Power Warriors.
When fighting in small scale group fights (5 or less), it is a constant cycle of condition based classes and condition based group compositions, notably epidemic spam from necromancers.
As a new guild with players still learning the game as well, this is not very fun to fight, we literally walk up to find a fight of relatively even numbers and the whole group is suddenly dumbfounded with conditions which we do not have enough cleanses for. This continues to be the case even when running a shout guardian with trooper runes.
2. Blast finishers do not benefit roaming: There are not enough beneficial skills that also happen to be blast finishers for roaming builds, as such we cannot take advantage of the light field blast finisher combo.
3. Thieves have way too much mobility, when they have low health they are able to run all the way till they are out of combat and then run all the way back in the fight when many of us still have cooldowns, this just seems unfair.
They are possible to kill with conditions but it is a nightmare to deal with when running power builds for many classes.
4. Warriors have way too much everything, its not like they are impossible to kill but after cycling through their high burst, defensive stances and crowd control, then they finally start running as if they Usain Bolt.
5. Mesmers and Usain Bolt Comparision: Speaking of which mesmers have the same thing combine blink with continuum split and they become Usain Bolt.
6. Druids also play like Thieves: I feel like there is way too much stealth on a class that already has access to range and mobility.
These encounters become problematic, because they become irritating to deal with especially when trying to develop a new roaming guild for a server that constantly has to deal with being outnumbered by higher tier servers. It is hard to keep players motivated when you get into a fight and its not even fun, hell sometimes the fight either does not last 10seconds due to the amount of conditions or it lasts like 10minutes due to the amount of mobility and stealth.
Yes there is always the option of ignoring those players but as soon as the opponent notices a new or inexperienced player in the guild they relentlessly chase after that player forcing them into combat. It is very stressful exhaustive and quite frankly not very fun to play. It actually makes me want to zerg or quit playing instead.
I pretty much think same way.
I hate multilevel mazes like HoT maps especially this new LS map, it’s horrible! I hope they change this in next xpac.
I never explored HoT on my chars, leveled them all in wvw. Thats how I enjoy those maps.

Thief is in fact one of the least forgiving, and most underpowered classes currently in the game.
One wrong move or one missed dodge means your dead…and with the worst downed state in the game…..(arguably tied with Mes)….once you’re down, you’re dead.
Yes thief is mobile….but they are made that way because they are also made to literally not be able to 1v1 any other well played class.
Back in the day Thief backstabs were hitting for 12-14K…not you’re lucky if you break 8k unless you have a power machine buffing you.
The simple fact is….thief is arguably the weakest class 1v1 AND in group. Their saving grace is their mobility for decapping points. In other words, in solely TDM bg’s like we used to have….having a Thief on your team meant you lost.
Thief is not OP but daredevil is. Try to catch him in wvw, hes immune to condies movement imparing effects etc. Backstabs still hits for 10k and Vaults for 9k.
Tomes will be like engineering kits and skills will be mantras.
They wont give this to us cause some legendaries supposed to be better than others. George Orwell saw that years ago.

It’s used in raids because you need it to maximise your power damage as a DH. It’s not like it offers a raid-exclusive perk.
So, in pve, where dps is king, you go Zeal.

The leaker said they are like engi kits. And judging by the picture, we get an initiative bar, so there’s some gating. Which makes sense, they can’t just give guardian 5 weapons with no drawback.

Guardian traveler runes since 2012.
Warrior is OP and needs to be toned down by 100%. And after that conditions need to be toned down by 50%.
Yes warrior is easy, DH is easy and are classes with a low skill floor that gives u advantages iniatilly but that is where it stops when experience and effort come in. but that is really is. trust me. those people u beat are more often average players or maby even better. it makes no sense for average players to do the 1 v X just because builds. Cake walk doesn’t consist solely of warriors, it has power mesmers, thiefs. Heck zen even has vidieos of zodin still winning fights with core mediguardians. heralds. these pros use all classes. And can prove it in pvp where there is litterally no class/build advantage. heck sindrerer who also plays with cake is currently top eu player.
Even if u played warrior at first. experience and talent also play a factor. the average player u come across is not gonna do what u did and certainly not cake, zen .
They can prove it in pvp. U can litterally look at the pvp leaderboard and see vaanss in top 10 and sindrener on number 1(might be number 2 if metrix wins games)
I just don’t find that one should devalue a clear difference in skill as solely builds or everybody and thier mother would have a roughly very even odds of winning thier duels not counting hard counters.

U litterally are a hater that added nothing constructive here at all, other then using the most cliche excuse ever done in a competetive game and that is blame the build/class/weapon. to completely and utter ignore all talent, effort and skill, with the same excuse of a build. Even when there is litterally a game-mode where builds+stats are equalized, U still persist in not crediting their well earned skill level. And u tell me to grow up? If they cant do 1vx with berserker than they are pretty under average. Every newbie can now 1vx with berserker. Where were Cake when berserker first came in HoT? Pretty much crying in forums how useless this elite was. Everyone can be no1 now when pvp is dead. I am not hater i just know when ppl are abusing OP classes, hell I abused turret engie when it was out ( and defended by all those engineers that its not that OP). Well earned skill level? You cant earn skill level.
Berserker can 1vx easily in every game mode, low skill floor, condi or power, defending this class just prooves your skill level.
Some sigils are more expensive than 6x runes….This should be same for all cause of legendary status, or some legendaries are better than others than they need to be renamed to exclussive legendaries!
That Vaans fanboi really need to grow up. I remember the time when they abused Rifle 2x dmg bug and after that we often organized Cake chase ended by them leaving this game cause of “boredom” (remember – boredom comes when you abuse something op and after some time you get sick of it). But in reality I dont even respect players who abuse Berserkers now. Pretty much same players who abused cele ele, rifle engie etc etc…

They are not pro they are abusing most broken class in wvw like everyone else.
