I can’t seem to send invites or even cancel pending invites from people on my friends list while I’m in a PvP match.

Since the latest patch, the sell list jumps back to the top after selling an item, which is extremely annoying because I have to constantly scroll back down to the correct position in the list when selling items in my inventory.

Scrapper > Druid
Druid loses to scrapper at equal skill level? Are we playing the same game?
Also:
Reaper < Herald
This is such a ridiculous statement, reaper melts both power and condi rev at equal skill level.

Don’t know if this is what you mean, but some ‘blocks’ aren’t blocks but act as evades – such as mesmer sword 2, rev sword 3, engi hammer 3.
Mesmer sword 2 does not mention block anywhere. Why would anyone think it is a block?
Well then do you have a better explanation for his situation? This was the only thing I could see.

The tutorial zone is an instanced zone completely seperate from HotM. The thing you see in HotM is basically just a cardboard cutout.

Those who volunteer for autobalance if they started on the winning team and had a certain personal score should get an automatic win – this is how it works in PvP. Also autobalance should be disabled after a certain length of time (say 3 mins?). Can flip things around even after autobalance in the first few mins, but eventually it becomes impossible.
Svanir Appreciation Society [SAS]
What’s your highest personal score in dragon ball?
Mine is currently 26 (I got autobalanced half way through this game).
Svanir Appreciation Society [SAS]
You realise that even if this gamemode had an MMR system, by the time everyone is at the correct MMR for dragon-ball the mode will no longer be available?
As for actual balance (which is what the original post talks about) dragon ball is literally as balanced as it gets since everyone has the exact same access to the same skills, etc.
Last of all it’s a freaking holiday event made for PvE players, if you want PvP then go PvP.

…having more thieves on your team is a good thing
Svanir Appreciation Society [SAS]
Patch is finally out
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/pvp/Is-that-it-1
A tons of changes ( unespected to me ).
I still have to read the whole changes, but seems a very very big one ( not only about spvp but about everything ).Let’s talk about SPVP changes.
Hail our necro overlords!!!! And their only counter thieves.
And lets face it, it’s a pretty darn ridiculous counter after those massive dps buffs

Currently in an Unranked soloq for 1 hour 18 mins and still counting. Surely there are at least 10 people queuing right now that can be put into a match together?
Svanir Appreciation Society [SAS]
(edited by Random Weird Guy.3528)
I would say necros are far more likely to rage than thieves in my soloq experience.
Svanir Appreciation Society [SAS]
Anet: Elite specs won’t be a pure upgrade, it will just offer a different way to play the class.
Gives druid new pets that are vastly superior to the non-HoT pets to the point that every druid only runs the druid pets.
Svanir Appreciation Society [SAS]
And? When I reroll I still have 2 thieves because most thieves don’t seem to reroll.
Did you take the time to ask them something along the line of:
“hey guys, would any of you switch to x class we’d need against y class we’re facing because we’re lacking z utility/support/etc and one thief can do the roaming job plenty enough” while adding “I’d like to stay on thief, or I’ll switch to c class”
Or did you just look at the matchmaking, threw your hand in the air and curse Anet and random class stacking RNG, which they can’t really prevent since people can play whatever they want and we don’t have the sufficient player pool to enable algorithm that would rule out class stacking without lenghtening the queue time by x amount?
Did you really think not one of us in the team had written in team chat requesting class switches? And my point still stands even if 2 had switched – we’d have 2 people on unpreferred classes vs a team with 2 top players and all on preferred classes and would still lose.
Svanir Appreciation Society [SAS]
And? When I reroll I still have 2 thieves because most thieves don’t seem to reroll.
In addition, if this is really a valid argument then there should be a disclaimer on the ranked button saying that you must be able to play at least 2 classes competently and be willing to switch before queuing.
Even if 2 thieves were to switch, we’d have 2 players with classes that they didn’t want to me on vs a team with preferred classes and 2 top players.

So first of all you stick 3 of the 4 thieves on the same team instead of splitting them evenly or simply not allowing this many thieves, then you stick the two players who are in a team with 0 losses in pro league on the opposing side to the ridiculously comped team. Great job.

just won 1 out of 1 game i can confirm
100% win ratio op, something has to be nerfed.

Wow! Wow! Wow! o// thank you! Diamond Skin change is perfect!!! Thank you!! I can finally hit an Elementalist when I run a condi build! Im so happy! That infinite invulnerability was rough!
Not sure making a good grandmaster trait useless is good for the game, specially in the current condi-heavy meta. Condi are passive offense after all and do not require the same amount of skill to pull off as damage spike builds. What will stop a perma-chill Reaper of destroying eles without any effort now? Chill affect the elementalist class twice more than all the other classes, as soon as the diamond skin threshold is broken eles just melt in place.
Tempest is already god-mode in terms of team support, it doesn’t have to be god-mode in 1v1s too.
Tempest is a complete bunker build. If a complete bunker build doesn’t sustain a 1v1 then no other build will be viable.
We already have things like druid and scrapper that can hold practically any 1v1, scrapper is also strong for holding 2v1. Both of these are less useful in teamfights.
In the same way, something like tempest (also bunker mesmer) which are insanely powerful in teamfights need to be less useful in other situations otherwise they are simply overpowered.

Aside from skill adjustments, another way we can adjust balance in PvP is by looking at the runes/sigils/amulets that are available for use through the customization panel.
I would be interested in hearing thoughts (with the high-level goals from the blog in-mind) on adding/removing various sigils/amulets/runes. In general, our goal for PvP is to be faster-paced with a higher-level of lethality than what we’re seeing in S1.
I know we’ve had this conversation a few times before, but it’s always important to have this discussion with the correct context in mind.
It would be nice to be able to customize our amulets instead of being stuck with static amulets. This would open more possibilities for players to make more unique builds. Allow for the amulets to be either 3 stat or 4 stat combos.
More variety in stat combos can definitely be a thing – but I don’t think manual stat allocation is in the cards currently.
How about restricting sPvP amulets only to 3 & 4 stat combo’s? Now, your forcing players to “give up” something. Instead of allowing certain professions to strength across the board.
This will help “diversity” in sPvP builds without affecting the rest of the game (PvE, WvW.)
Nope, I think a big part of the issue if people could go all defensive stats. Just look at minstrel’s amulet, which was around for under a week before they had to remove it.
Svanir Appreciation Society [SAS]
I’m not really sure how the devs decided that increasing the auto-attack dps was the way to buff thief – the damage of the autoattacks is fine at present.
What thieves really need is to be able to pump out their burst when needed. There is nothing more frustrating when playing thief than to have your perfectly timed burst trolled by some random CC.
So how about this suggestion (instead of the proposed increase in aa damage):
Sleight of hand: Steal now grants 2s of stability (5 stacks). This is in addition to the effects that the trait already provides.
This gives the thief a 2s window to land their burst without being CCd. The 2s duration means that they don’t have much uptime on stability (especially when compared to other classes), but gives them it when they need it. The burst can still be avoided by blocks/invuln, but that means that the thief still has to time their burst for when they know that the target won’t use one, rather than just bursting whenever.
Svanir Appreciation Society [SAS]
Can you imagine druid with the boon steal on interrupt?
Svanir Appreciation Society [SAS]
This is meaningless unless you make it average queue time for only players in your division.
Svanir Appreciation Society [SAS]
Playing in EU at 4pm CET on a Sunday afternoon – I would think not everyone is sleeping…
Svanir Appreciation Society [SAS]
Why isn’t there some sort of maximum queue time? Surely matchmaking would become more lenient if you’ve been in a queue for over 5 minutes – I’m currently in a soloq queue for 40 minutes and I’m not even in legendary division.

Expect an Amber slave market in S2.
I guess you didn’t read the upcoming changes.
An example of this would be two friends: one is in Diamond and the other is in Amber. For Season 2, these two players will still be able to team up and play together, but they’ll be placed into Diamond level matches based on the highest division player in the party. This means that forming a party with players in a higher division than you will always bring you up to their level for matchmaking and prediction, rather than adjust to compensate for party members at lower divisions. This specific change will go into effect in our next scheduled release (prior to the end of season 1).

OP clearly has no idea how the system works.
Svanir Appreciation Society [SAS]
Are you joking? Scout is clearly the most OP class in snowball mayhem. Can instakill anyone from 50% hp, makes up for low defensive with evades and stealth, is the only class that can stealth res allies, can stealth while carrying presents.
Svanir Appreciation Society [SAS]
Now do it soloq only.
Svanir Appreciation Society [SAS]
I’m assuming that they fixed the bug where it occasionally took 8s+ instead of 3s for the F5 to reset.
Svanir Appreciation Society [SAS]
To compensate for warriors being sub-par in this meta, ANet has given them the ability to walk through walls. Unfortunately it can’t be controlled and can result in unwanted scenarios.

PvP is still PvP.
Passives vs Passives.
Svanir Appreciation Society [SAS]
They’ve literally destroyed everything I enjoyed doing in this game.
PvP is dull and frustrating, WvW is empty and has turned into an extension of PvE, they killed solo/duo dungeons (which I very occasionally did if I needed gold).
Time to dig up my steam account…
Svanir Appreciation Society [SAS]
Seriously I can only play PvP in 1 hour bursts now before I get too angry at the game and stop.
I’ve never in any point of my GW2 life had this issue, the game is at a massive all-time low and lots of people are going to be leaving the game – even those who don’t certainly aren’t going to be recommending the game to anyone.
And everyone knows what problems there are with the game because there have been non-stop complaints on the forums since leagues.
Svanir Appreciation Society [SAS]
You’re always going to at a disadvantage if you use 6-0, because that means you’re either constantly looking down on the keyboard or clicking to use those skills. You should be able to reach all your skills easily (e.g. no more than an inch away from your movement keys) so that you can spend more time looking at other things such as enemy animations.
Svanir Appreciation Society [SAS]
I hope anet is paying attention to this thread because not a single player has listed HoT meta as their favourite. I would go as far as to say that it’s the worst meta yet.
It’s not just an issue of balance, it’s also the fact that everything is so slow paced now (much less fun) and it’s all about spamming stuff rather than actually timing things.
Svanir Appreciation Society [SAS]
It also gives players who consider buying this game a false expectation of what the PvP gameplay is like.
Svanir Appreciation Society [SAS]
I strongly believe that Bunker Guardian in its prime was one of (if not) the best builds for the game in terms of promoting healthy and skill-based gameplay.
Why?
1. It promoted active gameplay
Nearly everything a bunker guardian did rewarded actively reacting to a situation.
Expecting a heavy power damage spike on an ally? Use your protection shout or your mace block to mitigate damage.
Need to counter heavy CC pressure? Use SYG or your F3 skill to provide AoE stability.
Strong AoE on-demand condition cleanse was available, but it wasn’t enough to constantly cleanse every single condi on yourself, so smart use of these condi cleanses was promoted.
The staff 5 skill could be used both as a strong on-demand offensive and defensive support.
This thread discusses why active gameplay is no longer the case: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/pvp/Meta-has-too-much-AoE-protection-uptime/first#post5883425
2. It was the best at its role but mediocre at others
During its prime, no other build came close to bunker guardian in team support. In a 4v4/5v5 situation where one team had a bunker guardian and the other team didn’t, the team with a bunker guardian had a significant advantage. While its team support was strong, its personal survivability was not the best and could die to coordinated burst or condi pressure. Certain condition builds were also capable of killing it in 1v1. It also provided strong offensive team support through might and a strong AoE CC (staff 5), but dealt very little damage itself which greatly reduced its contribution in a 1v1 or 2v2. Putting more than one bunker guardian in a team comp was not effective due to the specialisation of the role. This leads us onto the next point:
3. It promoted smart rotations from both teams
A team was greatly rewarded for having their bunker guardian in the team fights and punished heavily for having it stuck in a 1v1, to some extent even a 2v2 where it had reduced effectiveness. The team had to plan ahead in order to have their bunker guardian in as many team fights as possible. On the other hand, the enemy team could juke out their opponent and force their bunker guardian to be the last one standing on a point in a 1v1. Alternatively the enemy team could also abuse the bunker guardian’s lack of mobility by simply moving around the map faster (e.g. with a portal).
Currently we have multiple hybrid bunkers on each team, which can cope in any situation (1v1 – 5v5). This severely dumbs down rotations, since you can simply put a hybrid bunker on every point while your roamers move between the points.
We need builds like this to be back on top if the game is to become a healthy game that promotes smart and active play. Our current support builds can dish out most of their support passively with little thought (except for healing someone who is low), while also severely dumbing down the entire concept of team rotation.

Teamfight, but it can hold a capped point 1v1 vs most things if it has to.
Svanir Appreciation Society [SAS]
-Best player won’t run a meta build
I have to disagree here. The reason meta builds exist is because a top player will do well with that build and people will start copy-pasting it. The best players run a meta build because they’re the one who made that build meta.
I think what you mean is that meta builds don’t make you the best player.
Svanir Appreciation Society [SAS]
The thing is, they keep introducing new things without fixing old things, so all these issues end up stacking on top of each other and the state of the game keeps dropping to new lows.
Svanir Appreciation Society [SAS]
Fixed it for you:
1)Nerf bunkers
2)People will start stacking burst/condi builds
3)Everyone is happier because they’ve been through the bunker meta and know how boring it is
Svanir Appreciation Society [SAS]
Scrapper, druid and condi herald are all pretty solid 1v1 specs atm.
Svanir Appreciation Society [SAS]
Two ages of gw2. Pre celestial and post celestial. Pre celestial took alot of skill and organisation to do well in general. Post celestial the build diversity went away and everyone just played a jack of all trades spec which could hold a point, and attack a point. Team roles like condi, bunker, dps and back point holder went away and it became a cluster.
Also celestial marked the biggest transition in players. Alot of people quit and alot of previously bad people worked their way up with the aid of celestial amulet.
Basicalky celesital amulet ruined this game completely.
I don’t think this is as true as you think it is. Without celestial, all the bunker mesmers would just run sentinels or soldier and all the tempests would likely run cleric/crusader, which would be an even worse bunker meta than we currently are in.
