There’s no reason to do dungeons anymore, with the sole exception of wanting a certain skin or rune. And if you want these, good luck getting a party to run them.

The rewards are abysmal when you consider than spamming low-mid level fracs is just as easy and is definitely going to reward more with the fractal reward buff coming.

Experience is also abysmal compared to doing any open-world meta event chain.

Well they nerfed visual effects, props for that cos lag and not being able to see things was too OP.

I would hope that this is fixed before the pro league qualifiers this Saturday.

Update: When I freeze, I can fix it by alt-tabbing. Still really detrimental in PvP.

Never had this issue before yesterday, but yesterday I started getting random freezes every now and then (1-3 times per hour). The screen completely freezes for around 8-10 seconds then goes back to normal.

I am currently looking to learn meta speedclear tactics for fractals. I’ve done fractals for two years and have done many fractal 50+ runs, but I’ve always had to use pug tactics and have never learned the proper speedclear tactics – I haven’t been able to get into any speedclear guilds as a result of this.

I would like to join a guild (or even just a group of people) who are experienced in high-level fractal speedclearing and would be interested in teaching me the speedclear tactics.

Classes I can play are Warrior (currently up to fractal level 82) and Elementalist (currently up to fractal level 51).

What’s wrong with allowing a single player from an opposing region to take part in a team (where the other 4 reside in the correct region) if said player does not compete in that opposing region?

Could I please get an official response for this?

If you look up the definition of projectile in a dictionary, it’ll say that a projectile is an object that is propelled (or ‘projected’) through the air. Mesmer GS auto doesn’t count as this as it’s basically just a beam of light rather than something that is propelled.

There are also numerous unblockable projectiles, for example most poison-applying projectiles tend to be unblockable.

The 4s cd 1.2k range piercing kill-shot isn’t enough, needs to also be unblockable like Test of Faith is.

I’m currently starting up a small PvP guild for the purpose of leagues and guild leaderboards, with potential for tournament participation (although not required). Aiming to have a few different teams within the guild – at present we consistently have 2+ teams in the top 20 of the leaderboards.
I would like this guild to be a fairly small and close-knit guild and will therefore be trying out all potential recruits. There will be no representation requirement (except when playing with a guild team).

Things that I will be looking for:
1. Positive attitude and willingness to change/adapt
2. Strong communication via TeamSpeak3 (though we won’t use always)
3. Solid grasp of at least one viable build (doesn’t matter if it isn’t meta as long as you can prove that it’s viable in a coordinated team setting)
4. Knowledge of the mechanics of other classes
5. Be able to demonstrate team-fighting and positional knowledge
6. Strong map awareness (knowing when/where to go and keeping tabs on enemy numbers/respawns)

If you struggle in one of these areas, as long as you show willingness and ability to improve in this area, you’ll still be considered. I will not however accept people who never talk or those who rage.

I don’t mind people who are in other PvP guilds, as long as you still actively play with members of this guild as well.

So I crashed at teq, reloaded the client and clicked on the character, then I crashed again before the map had even loaded…

Missed the teq reward thanks to these two consecutive crashes…

These constant crashes in Verdant Brink are made worse by the fact that I can end up on a different server when I log back in and lose all participation credit. Is there any way to reserve a spot in a server in the case of crashes?

Has anyone else experienced this with El Capitan? I press the GW2 application, 1 minute later a black window appears, another minute later the game launcher appears.

If you’re going to force us all into Unranked, please allow us to use Standard Models.

I’d like to be able to learn the animations of the new skills and what they do, but it’s mildly annoying when I have to push my face against the screen to see the asura animations.

Just crashed at shaman

I used to only crash in areas where there were lots of players in combat (WvW , silverwastes, etc.) but now I seem to just randomly crash all the time. I just created a revenant and crashed while loading the first story quest. I’ve also randomly crashed in LA and in low populated events in Verdant.

Did the first event I saw in Verdant Brink and I crashed. There were no more than 10 people in this event…

If you have the right quality mower and very resilient grass, then burning suddenly isn’t strong at all.

But hey, the majority of people are running cheap crappy overheating mowers and their grass is dry as heck and catches on fire easily… of course they’ll both agree that burns are an issue.

Actually the moral here is that the sun is OP, because it’s most likely the sun causing the grass to be dry and would have an impact on the lawnmower overheating.

This has been done several times on both EU and NA in the past, can’t remember who did it or when though.

Did you disconnect for longer than 1 minute total (including char select)?

You even get premades of ESL players in unranked sometimes if they want to chill out but there are tryhard ESL teams in the ranked queue.

Nothing out of ordinary here, I have about 30% more top stats than games played. Generally speaking you’ll get more top stats if you play a lot as a roamer since you’ll get credit for more kills and decaps than a bunker who just stalemates a point.

Grouch just said on stream that vamp runes would be buffed to affect falling damage.

They should revise the reward tracks and have them target different players. Give some extra transmute charges, some extra tomes for leveling characters, and others extra shards of glory for people who want legendary weapons.

This is ideal but abusive. There are plenty of players out there that can go for the track for the most gold value. ArenaNet doesn’t need to change rewards, just change how they are given.

How is this being abusive? Some people want cash, some people value trans charges/tomes over cash (and would in theory save them a lot of cash in terms of converting to gems for charges), etc.

Can’t say that I’ll miss having as much transmutation charges, I’d be perfectly happy with an alternative reward.

Also I don’t think you guys realise how ridiculous the rate of transmutation charges is for us compared to people who don’t PvP. Non-PvPers have to grind their way through map completion to get them, whereas we just get them from doing whatever we’d be doing anyway.
Even after halving, we still earn them far easier.

Just to put it in perspective. In PvE you can get 10g per hour. Putting in 150h and you get 1500g.

They will need multiple keys per track just to make it 50% effective as PvE farming. I don’t think anyone requesting PvP to be as rewarding as PvE, but at least make it 25% as rewarding as PvE.

Where do you make 10g an hour in pve? running COF all 3 paths will get you like 4.5g in about 30-40 min but then you can only do that once per day. SW isn’t that lucrative either… If you can’t say in forums please pm me, I’d love to make 10g/hr

You aren’t going to make the highest amount of cash from just doing regular dungeons. You can for example solo an arah path and sell it in under an hour and net yourself upwards of 20g per hour from this.

And if you want to make massive stacks and are willing to put in the huge amount of time/effort/investment, you can play the market and make over 100g per day from under an hour’s work per day.

Custom servers can be configured the way people want to in hotjoin and that’s ok.

But the normal hotjoin servers, players should be unable to pick a team.
Players in losing teams go spectator and force autobalance and then join the winning team.

Sometimes i see angry kids in unranked telling other people to go back to hotjoin to learn how to pvp.
But Hotjoin is pure aids at the moment and should be avoided, especially by new players.

And i would like to see rewards being lowered for custom servers.
I believe they can get 25% of a track at the moment? Maybe that could be lowered.
Hitting eachother and jumping down the hole to get rewards shouldn’t be as rewarding as doing pvp normally.
This way you can still get your dailies done then on such a farm server as much as you’d like.

Just remove spectator mode in the standard hotjoin servers altogether. Why would you want to spectate random people whose skill level you have no idea about anyway? Leave spectator mode for the custom player-made servers.

Removing spectator mode means that people would be forced into a team upon joining and prevents auto-balance abuse.

As for ‘hitting people and jumping down kitten’, the reward for this is nowhere near that of doing unranked/ranked. You get significantly reduced rewards for shorter matches, they probably only make around 200 rank points per round for a win, 80 for a loss.

This has been requested quite a few times over the past year lol. Dunno why it still hasn’t happened.

You can’t even farm hotjoin lol, you earn stuff faster in unranked even with a 30% win-rate.

I think it’s around 250. Should be easy enough to test with aoe skills though if you really want to know.

I don’t really know much about these things, but a new API called Metal has just been introduced to Macs recently and claims to improve efficiency with games by a huge amount. Does the GW2 mac client utilise this?
