All of this sounds to me like they were testing the waters to see if changes like this one would be worth it. Now they’ve lost the faith both of people who didn’t buy it and people who did. Basically kitten ed off both sides.

If you are one of those that bought it, tough luck. You have no right to be upset because this skin was never supposed to be there in the first time.

Is actually the puppet of a bigger foe that has been doing all of this from the shadows. Perhaps a dragon? And the whole alliances thing to finally come into play and make sense to why it had to be flame legion / dredge / krait / aetherblade / twisted minions and nightmare court (and how she managed to get them to work together).

It’s seriously the only way they could save this story.

Maybe it can be seen in a cutscene that said foe disposes of Scarlet once she’s no longer useful!

I think that would not be enough tbh. Diamond skin should additionally grant protection below 50% health.

Everytime I see elementalists addressed as “the ele”

Ex:
Can we buff the ele?
The ele is fine l2p
No I think the ele needs buffs.

Why?

Wouldn’t it be easier to say:
Can we buff eles?
Eles are fine l2p
No I think eles need buffs

Quite frankly I can’t think of other professions that address themselves like that. “The warrior is op”, “the necro needs help in pve”… yeah no.

So what gives? I’m curious.

Diamond skin would be fun to run against all the fotm garbage necros out there.

Also a pvper but right now I’m focused full time on pve. Looking for an active guild preferably skilled and not too big that is experienced at fractals (to go hardcore this new patch)

I started quite well in fractals but then I got bored. I was lucky I stopped at 29 or my progress would’ve been reverted and I would’ve gotten a bit mad!

Anyway, 6400 ap ele main that plays since headstart is looking for a guild, make sure to whisper me in game.

If you want brainless spammy look at other classes, Ele at least needs a set order to be most effective.

(Because “the next patch” is a bit unclear; it could refer to the one scheduled for tomorrow, but also the “next” one after that.)

Anyway, I hope they keep renewing stamina as an adept tier trait or I’m gonna uninstall.

1. End game lack of content. I’m sure they could devote a really extensive “living world”-esque patch to Orr so it actually has variety in its events.

2. No new areas. I would love to explore the ring of fire or the desert gate at fields of ruin. No plans for those though and expansions have been discarded too.

3. Terrible balancing. As an Elementalist main it’s painful to see patch after patch addressed at the wrong aspects, which in return ends up indirectly nerfing specs that were fine before.

4. SPVP and its lack of features. 6? Maps that are all about captures. We could have so much more…

5. Downed state. Getting instagibbed is frustrating but there could be a fix for that. Make it so if your HP goes to 0 within 3 seconds you get a 2 seconds window where you can attempt to heal before you completely die. Simple, right?

Honorable mention: Personal story. Those cutscenes are lame and fail to showcase any emotion whatsoever (maybe I’m asking too much).

I’m perfectly fine with everything else. I like grindy mmos, I like ascended stuff.

Guardian and warrior are pretty brainless classes.

Top servers are quite active but the less populated ones are deserted.

I’ve always been against stacking. It can work sometimes but if you run gc you’ll obviously drop to stuff that others would survive.

I hate stacking. (It also trivializes encounters)

Say I post a really expensive item on the TP for sale, it requires 2g to be posted.

But then I want to take it down. Is the money that I used to post it (2g) lost forever? I used to think that you’d get it back along with the item but something weird happened today.

Ranger
Necro
Thief
Guardian (no chance to lose, but take a lot of time to kill)
Warrior
Elementalist
Engineer
Mesmer

To me elementalist and engineer are still almost impossible to lose against and they are at the same lvl of difficulty, all the other below are close of 100% chance of victory or endless duel (over 10min against good lame perma stealth thief).

I met a good engineer (Kimoe.2607 7th in spvp ranking, each duel 5-10min in www, i won a bit more than i lost, but it was equally matched) and when i didn t know him, engineer where at the same lvl of difficulty as warrior. Since then i think good engineer are far harder to fight against, if you compare to any class. But there isn’t many engineer roaming and even less good engineers.

Mesmer are a pain to kill because of my poor mobility, but if i can manage to land a few interupt skill (racial asura + 2 focus skills), they are easy. So most of time they aren’t a problem, but good mesmer are too hard to control.

That’s odd, I rarely have issues with mesmers now that I play as d/f.

Air 1 spam gets rid of any clone or phantasm instantly, from then it’s easy.

Ele does a ridiculous amount of AoE dps and mainly AoE burst. I’d say it’s the top in game (burst)

Very squishy but you shouldn’t be getting hit anyway.

Also staff is situational, there are encounters where you want to use other weapon sets.

Are those really demands? None of these have been made up out of thin air. These “demands” are stuff that ANet has promised for a long time and still hasn’t delivered.

Just speculating. Maybe a celestial bonus 2 crit damage and 20 points to all stats every 10 points in arcana. Or condi reduccion like guy said. Or global 0-30% reduction on your skills.

I would love that too but it would make even more people go the arcana route.

Mesmer or ranger atm. I’d include thieves but it’s unfair to generalize because of how many noobs play that class.

Toughest class to kill could be stun spamming warrior and necros.

Edit: Oh of course, the actual easiest one would be other Eles.

Engi and thief I find fun.

I’m making an ascended staff now (or in the process to). Already got an ascended dagger and a focus.

Not sure why would you stop just with a staff, do you even use other weapons?

Yeah, I’m so relieved right now. I use at least 20 in arcana and that change would’ve killed ele for me.

I actually found an anet post in page 3, I hope they stay true to their words and keep Renewing stamina as an adept trait.

Namely Elemental attunement + renewing stamina gigantic nerf.

I haven’t read the 21 pages looking for an ANet response, but I sure hope that they’re reverting that, right?

This is the stupidest piece of kitten I’ve ever seen in my life: Having to choose between Elemental attunement and Renewing stamina.

I just want a confirmation. Is this failsafe? I remember hearing people getting the wrong items from certain recipes. I’d hate to lose a lot of gold this way.

It should not take 45 min. That’s impossible unless 2 people are afk or either bearbows . 25 is the absolute max for p2-3 . If you wipe in p1 it’s just alooot of time wasted trying to skip the trash . Try to join a zerker party if you don’t wanna waste your time . The only other classes worth playing for me are thief and engi, and still nowhere as fun or versatile.

2. Is it really challenging?
3. How much time takes an average run, and how much would it be a quick run? (per path)
4. Why do people “sell” Arah rewards… is it really that hard?
5. Do berserker builds survive in there?

Would appreciate extra advice. I’m packing undead slaying potions so far.
