It was assumed that if acquiring was any easier then everybody would get it and wear it ALL THE TIME.
Yeah, that’s the reasoning behind how dumb every requirement is nowadays.
Give P/P a slide attack that knocks down.
And then another attack that flips over a target while firing downward onto them.
Then I can make Dante from DmC.
I love it.
Bound and Dash are so useful in their own ways that I’ve repeatedly switched between them, and spent countless hours agonizing over which one to stick with.
I honestly can’t pick a winner. Which is the way it should be.

I’d forgotten how big Kaineng was.
Now I’m having flashbacks of boss hunting in Kaineng for all the elite skills.
Randulf is right on how ugly it was. But I remember that feeling of finally reaching the southern exit. The anticipation building up while working through all those slums and temples and missions. The excitement of finally leaving to see green again!

Use the in-game Bug Report (the Ladybug icon in the Gears at top of window) or just type /bug
Good luck.
Thanks! I’ll go in game and do a bug report now.
edit: Submitted the bug report. I did notice yesterday after getting map complete in Cursed shore the panel is still there. So I reported just the zones I noticed this happening to. Zones like Dry top, Frostgorge and Silverwastes.
It’s not the end of the world. At least the item icon is still there to show me what zones will give a bonus item for events.
(edited by Redfeather.6401)
I don’t if it is bugged for anyone else, but the rewards panel disappears on any map I have 100% completed, but I still get the map rewards.
You get points for completing zone events, and usually ever couple of gold medals for events will give you whatever item is to the right of the map name.
Found out in-game it’s a UI bug or something.
Don’t know how to report bugs in-game and not sure if posting it on the forums will help bring attention to it.
Very nice! How do I save it to my computer?
I would like to use it as reference.
Update: I went to a map I completed in the past. One with no map bonus reward window when hovering over the name. I used one of those pact supply agent items and it gave me a bonus reward. Does that mean anything. This is really confusing and lacking information.
I just noticed that every zone I have map completion on does not show any map bonus reward window when I hover over the zone name on the map. That is very strange, and I don’t understand what I’m supposed to do.
Just an idea.
I think it would be interesting if skill 2, and 4, had that mechanic where they do subtley different effects depending on whether a) the target was performing an action or not… or b) the target is already under an effect, such as a condition.
eg. If the target is already under the effects of vulnerability pistol #2 won’t do the immobilize effect, it will add more stacks of vulnerability and it will also return initiative.
(edited by Redfeather.6401)
If anything, I think #2 and #4 have to be changed.
PP skill #2 is trying to do too much with mechanics that don’t benefit from it. The only interesting aspect of this skill is that it interrupts movement based skills, but see below for the crux on that matter.
PP skill #4 is an interrupt in a game where blind is superior, so it’s essentially constant upkeep what with the 5s cooldown on interrupted skills as opposed to a full cooldown on missed skills… So in essence it’s competing with #5 where #5 has far greater synergy with other skills.
Really got no suggestions on how to tweak #2, and #4. But just wanted to say something.

Claw Island is where it falls apart and stays sitting on the floor in pieces.
And those pieces are nothing but risen zergs with Trahearne spouting cliched pep talks.
For those who didn’t play their PS yet, yes the whole game after claw island is risen zergs with Trahearne spouting cliched pep talks. I wish I was kidding.

Since I’ve seen the waypoint mechanisms get busted in contested areas, I think it would be fun if you could use it but it teleports you random distance and direction from the waypoint, and when you teleport it drops random instability flavour debuffs on your character. lol
snip
I also really despised Tangled Depths, but the more I spent time on the map, the more I began to like it. Think it will grow on people with time, but some will hate it with a passion I’m sure.
Finding a way from TD to DS solo last night was probably the highlight of my evening. That chak and then modrem cave.
And when I got to the mordrem cave waypoint with the exit to DS right there I glided towards it and got a sniper symbol and then 1 hit K.O. out of the sky. XD
At least I was playing a thief and could teleport while downed to the waypoint. lol
I roamed HoT last night and had a lot of fun.
But then I managed to unlock a mastery after all that time, the talking to frogs one. So I talked to frogs and saw more locks. Is truly such an awful thing to do. I’m positive the average video game player is going to look negatively on such decisions.
So I’m skipping every mastery that feels like it won’t add to the game play. I would like to enjoy the good parts at least. Maybe put giant red text warnings above all poorly implemented mechanics locked behind xp bars. Something like “This unlock is a means to exploit your hopes”. lol

Wow thank you for the PvP lobby tips, it’s awesome !!
I was disappointed by Elementalist, their damage seems to be lacking a lot compared to Engineer or Mesmer. I even tryed some combos i found on the metabattle site, but even this way they do not compare to the 2 other.
They look like the hardest class to master though, so i might be doing it really wrong :p. Does it get better with skill/Levels ? Because i was looking forward to them for the support build in PVE
Since you are newish to the game, I have to ask if you played around with what runes/amulets and specializations each class had. Just to get the full impression of an elementalist.
If you did, and it’s not your thing that’s cool.
It’s not fun, or clever. And it gets made fun of all the time.
10 times the visual effect clutter with none of the effectiveness.
Gotta love whirl. lol
Ascended mats are my source of income now
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

I thought this was a joke topic, because I only seen account bound mats in my ascended tab in my bank.
Of course I don’t actively try to farm/harvest/craft that junk. lol
I’d like a disguise skill. Keeps you from getting aggro in PvE, and changes your colour in WvW.
Or better yet, a disguise skill that makes the thief look like a rabbit… or moa bird.
Of course I’m kidding, lol.
(edited by Redfeather.6401)
My 4 main characters are elementalist, engineer, thief, mesmer.
I’d go with either elementalist or pistol/pistol thief.
Try making one of each, then entering the PvP lobby and practicing in the lobby on the practice dummies.
If you like how they look then just buy it for the skin unlock.
But don’t get them and unlock he skin before you are the right level, otherwise you will bug the achievement for buying them.
How about a back-piece with 8 wings on it.
Each wing sporting 10 wings of it’s own.
However, all wings combined are completely insane. They are beyond your control.
Your very welcome!
I once made a swashbuckling ranger and named him Hanzo Sonata. People kept telling me how cool that name was. And the ladies swooned at his very presence. You can have that name if you want, but only if you make a swashbuckling ranger.
Your welcome!
I have tried this twice on 2 different characters. Progress comes to a halt after the Sylvari goes crazy. I get to the green circle on the map and nothing happens. I’ve tried searching the whole instance and only get odd dialogue by a crashed ship that doesn’t change anything.
Did Anet just nerf the damage at some point and not bother adding anything to compensate?
Do you know what other skills they had. I can’t imagine the entire fight revolving around Unload.
I play both. Just play both.
Maybe try to be different.
Seems like GW2 tries to copy an existing mmorpg, despite that game having 10 times the content because it has been existing for over 10 years.
I’m at 2750 AP now. The 3000 AP chest gives me something like 1g, 2 laurels and a glove skin I will never use.
I’ve never cared less about AP than I do now. lol
TY Guhracie. It explains a lot.
Before I took a break from GW2 there was RPers all over here in Tarnished Coast.
Now it feels like any other server, and people talking about megaserver (have no idea what that is) probably explained why I don’t see RPers here so much.
I don’t know why, but when my asura tempest is using it, it sounds like a fat frog is stuck in the horn.
I always carry a mystic salvage kit and the hall of monuments stone.
My thief is a norn female. I wanted to have a norn character to change into beasty form, and I figured norn male is way too bulky to be thiefy.
Just a pic to show norn female can still look thiefy at least.

I started thief 2-3 weeks ago. It definitely doesn’t pack the punch I thought it would based on what I saw before I took a break from GW2. I was gone a while, and I know a lot of changes been made.
But the playstyle is really fun, and I love the daredevil so much. So I’m sticking with it.

I wouldn’t save any bank slots as I have to run with different rune sets for different builds.
So it was 13 out of 19 for Gilded Hollow.
I’m just kidding. Or was I…
I think what would happen then is it would be given a drop chance so low that makes it so people who run dungeons 50 times a day wouldn’t be able to get ascended faster than normally intended.

Very interest in hearing why you like the Tempest, Druid and Daredevil.
Does the Daredevil kill as quick as the pistol dagger thief?
Why do you like the Tempest? Is you build Berserker?
Daredevil has better dps than thief, but I like it for the mobility.
This video isn’t me. Just to show how fun it is.

Have you tried the Action Camera option?(added about a month ago)

Not only masteries but collections too.
All those minigames are continuing the massive success of activities like Crab Toss and Sanctum Sprint. I mean the lines in LA to enter those are endless…
You made me spit up my coffee in laughter. ty
I would like a mankini for my asura.
Now everyone will picture that.
Your welcome.
I’ve only played Tempest, Scrapper and Daredevil so far.
Tempest and Daredevil are tied for my favourite.
Tempest for dps, and daredevil for omgwtf mobility.
Working on a chronomancer and druid at the moment. Will probably be couple of weeks more.
Will let you know then.
edit: Okay, so I fibbed. I have played Herald and Druid too… but only in the mists.
I prefer Druid quite a bit to Herald. But Daredevil and Tempest my faves.

Nah, man. Nah.
Wait, what. I thought OP was you. What trickery is this.
