Are you.. seriously helping people who are violating the code of conduct to take action against players who are trying to prevent match manipulation? The community officially reached a new level.
It was custom server (probably bought with IRL money) with custom rules. These guys joined, and started to ruining game process for everyone else. If it will be a custom duel server and same guild will join on it to grief, you will support this too?
I never farmed a single rank on such servers (btw its pretty uneffective way to farm ranks), I don’t like them, but I keep my opinions to myself. If someone want to do something on his custom server – it’s his server, his game and his fun. Griefing must be punished, and punished harshly.

today i decided to join a rankfarm server to rank up a bit.
It was all chill and fun until some pvp guild joined and literally destroyed everyone on the server.
They all joined blue and prevent red from capping any points, match ended 0-500.
Unfortunatelly there was no admin online at this time to stop them.So is there any way to get these people banned??
They were clearly playing against the server rules which they were aware of!!Got everything on video.
Would it help if i sent this to the support team??

Write ticket, add screenshots, and don’t forget to show one with server rules. Ask other peoples to do same thing. If you get enough people to write tickets, they will receive ban for griefing. There is nothing new in that, and pretty standard way to ban dumb people like them.

After Halloween patch I noticed weird bug – if you getting a DR on loot in LS story dungeon (yes, ratfarm), you almost always getting weird DR on loot in other dungeons. Like, getting 0-1 champion bag from SE1, 2 bags from 2 explorable AC patchs, etc.
Is this intended?

The ele is the most nerfed class in this game. It’s only a pale shadow of what the class was once. One more nerf and I’m never touching mine again.
Because old d/d ele was most OP class in game. Only one who was able to engage 5 people and being able to actually kill them, or easily escape if everything goes wrong.

pretty tired to explain you that dumbing down specs (Since dumbfire more than 1 year ago), broken ladders and spam to win pvp in general is what killed pvp, nobody cares about hotjoin….and never will..
Oh wait, it was not first 6 months after release where pvp lost majority of population because nobody even tried to nerf mesmers, thieves and d/d eles, right?

Because ignoring hotjoin was the thing that killed spvp playerbase. Nobody cares about teamQ except few hundreds of players (out of thousands) and devs who still dreaming about “esport”.

Gw1 pvp wasn’t for casuals at all it was all rank based, no rank = no good party > no good party = getting farmed…casuals just got roflstomped there and still it had been alive for more than 7 years. So what’s your point again?

Removing white swords from objectives to give defenders a stronger role in alerting their team as well as giving attackers more of a chance to get through having their siege disabled.
That would be a big, very big mistake. Scouting is already pretty unfun and unrewarding job, and you trying to force people even more into this.

Just for you to know they balanced everything around casuals…and that’s why pvp (Expecially competitive side) is dead…i would rather see many of those really good players who quit coming back than hotjoin full of pve heroes farming chests and achievements…and you’re probably one of them
Suure. And loss of 70%+ pvp population in first 6 months due to extremely uncomfortable for casual population thief/mesmer/dd ele meta is just a coincidence, right?
I always wonder how people like you are always unable to understand what only big casual population can keep pvp alive and support upper skill levels with new players who learning and getting better. Its a skill pyramid, and a basic rule for any MMO.

It is…in soloq, cause soloq playerbase is 70% composed of ppl who can’t rotate and going 1v1 vs turret engis and keep dieing there (Far usually) all match
Implying teamQ and its population of 0.0001% of players means anything in terms of balance.

They don’t have to press a single button and they get all this healing while most other healing skills the other 7 professions use are small bursts with thought behind them.
Because they don’t have such button. All other heal skills are borderline useless and there is no way to get any other meaningful heal source without investing into GM trait of support line.

Only problems are:
1. Undodgable hammer.
2. Stealth pulls.
3. Mechanic bugs, like hammer portal, spawning under map and not dying from falling,

I’m sorry but I have been hit for 6k from arcing arrow by a CONDITION warrior… Meaning no power bonuses at all not too mention its a double freaking blast finisher… That my friends is yet another thing warriors have that noone else can get.
Wat? Here is crit from condition build, and I even buff myself with 11 might before testing.
And Arcing Arrow is single blast finisher, not double.

I sincerely doubt that extra, more easily accessible condition removal and a cooldown reduction on heals is needed to give space for alternative specs to hambow, seeing as those specs already exist and are pretty common.
You doubt? Show me valuable warrior spec for competitive pvp without 20 points in defense for Cleansing Ire.

Okay, fine,you’re entirely right. Warriors absolutely need buffs to their condition removal, especially since mesmers have a comparable adept tier trait that needs to be about half as good as the warrior one. And warriors are completely pidgeonholed into defense. I mean seriously, having to spend a whole 20 trait points to have awesome condition removal is way too much, they need to get that for ten points in a offense-oriented tree.
So trading HPS for condition removal and giving breathing space for specs other than eternal hambow is bad thing for you? Oh wow.

Just no, not at all.
Healing signet is already far stronger than it needs to be (will reevaluate after the 8%), and warriors absolutely do not need their other heals to be buffed to that level.

I never understand why people have problems fighting asuras. I use human characters and it isn’t hard. Do you use a crazy high screen resolution or something?
If you don’t need to read animations and encounter only stupid players who don’t know about bodyblocks, then yes, asura size is not problem for you.

people says GS + Sword/warhorn does kitten damage but its wrong its just the other weapons do more damage it doesnt mean u cant kill anyone. still does massive damage + super bursty mobility.
Imagine u wearing maybe 500g light armor and other person wears 40kg heavy armor and who do u think will run fast??

seriously i’ve been playing my guardian for like the whole time and i played warrior for like 100 hours and feel like my guardian is completely useless…
warriors can survive much better than guardian and whoever says warriors are weak against cc, every class are weak to cc and warrior has berserk stance/endure pain / balance stance etc way more + highest hp/high armor maintaining high damage + got all the stuns/block massive hp regen (will get nerfed soon but wont be any huge difference) and crazy mobility that outruns every single classess..
tbh i think warrior is way more op than thief like i can stomp most of thieves 90% of the time except maybe some extremely well playing d/p thief with perma blind and condi necro. other than that i can stomp most of classess without taking any skills.
before anet nerf thieves on any they should nerf warrior first and buff guardians

Yesterday I fought as decap engi vs similar decap engi at 1 point 2-3 times all battle.
It was 1000 times more fun then playing vs rats-perma-invis-thieves or 2-buttons-hambow-wars.
P.S. engi not is my main class
I’m fail to see fun in fighting against player with anti-PvP build. He concentrated on fight against circle, not against you.

I don’t see the problem with the decap engi either. It is easily countered with the correct team set up. A stability bunker guardian easily counters this with no problem.
You have bunker guardian build with access to stunbreakers/stability every 7.5 sec? Maybe you share it?

Are you kidding? All whose abilities have MUCH longer cooldowns than engi lolspam with rifle+FT alone, and alot of them have cast times and visible animation.
War – Fear 1 min, stomp 45 sec, rampage 150s
Ele – gust 30s+ static field 40s
Necro – doom 20s, staff 40s, wall 45 sec.
Ranger – shortbow lolwat? Ranger knockback is longbow 4, 15s cd (YAY WE HAVE ONE CLASS WITH SAME CD AS ENGI! 0.5s cast time, though) and GS block. Also 2s fear from wolf on 45 sec cd.
If decap build need to be balanced, instant CC have to go or get much longer CD.

Enlighten me: Why is Skyhammer bad in SoloQ and TeamQ?
Please be objective, reasonable, and don’t go bonkers.
1. Switch to engi. Win every fight on side points and hammer room. Feel yourself very pro.

Ascalon was never Charr homeland until GW2 writers wrote it in last year…perhaps to quiet these forums, who knows.
Humans never tried to eradicate the Charr, the gods brought them to Ascalon to settle and humans stopped there. They could have cared less about them beyond Ascalon.
Humans never burned Charr prisoners alive for enjoyment…
The Foefire, and modern Adelbern for that matter, are not accurate representations of the Ascalon kingdom. It was written that way to give the Charr some moral footing in settling Ascalon for GW2.
Humans were never genocidal, Charr were.
No widely-known historical records =/= nothing happened, especially if previous inhabitants was defeated and exiled (or even more so if exterminated). Whole history of East European Plain is living conformation of that, where gigantic states like Western Turkic Khaganate, Khazar Khaganate, Old Great Bulgaria, Ulus of Jochi (aka Golden Horde), Nogai Horde, etc., was risen and vanquished from map, large wooden cities was burned and forgotten until last archaeological researches in XX century.
And zero charr inhabitants in Ascalon after 100 BE means same thing as it means in all other similar historical events with “disappearance of natives from local history” – invasion and slaughter.

So, let’s say we wanted to look into decap engineer, where would we start? I’ve heard a few different opinions on the topic, and I have a few opinions of my own as someone who has played against decap in top 100 rated solo/team arena games and also played the build myself.
In the same way that it was difficult to look at the September ’13 Hambow warrior and point out a single specific key to its strength, I think decap engineer is much the same.
I think it’s important to understand the areas in our game where decap engineer is strong, and then go from there:
- Conquest
- Situations where communication is difficult (solo arena)
- Against teams that have difficulty rotating appropriately
So, with the above in mind, what are some ‘low-hanging fruit’ type of suggestions for changing the way decap engineer works, without affecting existing builds unrelated to decap? That is to say, suggestions that would not require significant amounts of development time to implement.
We’ve already seen a few threads on PW, so I’ll focus on decap for now. ^^
1. Insta CC-s with low cooldowns – “offensive” capability.
2. AR+toolkit block+overall bunker survivability – defensive capability.
You need to remove something from this list.
And for the love of God, do something with tiny asura problem.

A warrior complaining? Are you even kidding me? I 100% thought you were trolling at first. Did you forget about the +1000 toughness on stunbreak? Because warriors need to be even more tanky. And did you forget about the 100% crit chance on burst skill? This means warriors don’t need precision for bursts in PvP. That leaves them open to stack all those points in another stat. Warriors have been nothing but buffed for the last year which leads me to believe all anet devs are terribad warriors who can’t pvp to save their life.
+1000 toughness once per 40s (for hambow) instead of Ire/Merciless Hammer/Defy Pain? Or incredible 30 Str trait worse than new Sigil of Intelligence? Yes, awesome traits.

Blame all the norn and charr players out there. It’s more difficult to hide as a sylvari or a human, bit it’s still quite possible to do with all the lumbering giants running around.
Asura can hide behind ANYONE. Show me norn or charr hiding behind human or asura.
I cannot speak for other professions, since only my ele is an asura, but most of my heavy-hitting spells (e.g., churning earth and meteor storm) have visual cues beyond mere hand/body movements. They’re painfully obvious, in fact.
Smaller hands, smaller body, shorter movements overall. Somewhere in depths of sPvP forum still exist topic with more detailed briefing about various asuran animations and everybody was agreed about advantage.
That problem is not specific to player race. I definitely wish targeting priority was smarter or at least configurable.
It’s pretty specific to player race. It’s significantly harder to click on small model, especially in chaos of minions/pets/players/etc.

I really think we need some way of proving the massive difference using numbers to make a point.
Because somehow…it isn’t obvious enough already.
1. Body block, hiding behind bigger player models to freecast ANYTHING without being seen. Your enemy have no idea what are you doing right now.
2. Animations. In the game where we don’t get castbars because we are supposed to build our counterplay by reading enemy animations – you can legally cheat and make asura.
3. Target selection. Have fun with clicking between minions/pets/turrets/clones/NPC/large player models. Oh, you trying to tab target? Too bad, here’s your pets/minions/clones/…

Is this the goal? For humanity and/or players to be sour losers for another 750 years? if so, things make a little more sense.
Losing war or territory is equal to “being sore loser”? If so, then almost every country is sore loser because nobody can win all wars and hold all territory forever. This is outright nonsense.
250 years old war have nothing to do with actual power rankings, empires can rise and fall in much smaller timeframe. Humanity easily can return to greatness without thinking about Ascalon at all.

IRON used to near queue a map by themselves – they used to start raiding during mid-late Oceanic with 20-30, peaking late SEA~mid EU prime at 50ish.

Basically engi bunker decap build is too good to decap a point and to hard to kill in 1vs1, so in a conquest mode this is a big problem.
What i’ll do (without change any CD):
Air Blast – improve animation (more readable) and add a little timecast
Net Shot -improve animation (more readable) and add a little timecast
Overcharged Shot – improve animation (more readable)
How can you improve animation for instant skill? He just pressing button and bam, you flying.
