Main problem with WoW ArP in pvp was not bunker-busting (bunkers will be pretty fine), but ability to explode low-armor targets. Low-armor target + ArP = crazy burst. It will promote bunkering even more.

As to who runs greatsword on a Warrior? I have to assume you are either being sarcastic, or you have never logged into the game. In WvW there isn’t a single warrior that doesn’t have a greatsword on unless they are a hambow warrior which is pretty rare. And don’t get me started on GS on warrior in pve.

Adren healing + Regen banners + Heal sig makes warriors a great bunker, i consider them on par with guardians when it comes to bunkering. Not to mention that warrior banners are AoE and pump out support to nearby allies, something which a guardian can’t do.
Guardian are much more superior in defensive team support (aoe stability+protection+aegis >>> banner+might+fury) and have better point control tools (hammer/shield/staff/sanctuary).

Summary: Warrior has the best land speed and too much mobility.
Arguments “if he flees, you won” are moot for WvWvW. You don’t get any loot bags if the enemy managed to flee. Sending him/her back to the spawn area is the only counter, especially when you want to counter the enemy sniping your dolyaks or flipping your supply camps.
Warrior land speed comes mainly from these sources:
- permanent swiftness (warhorn + quick breathing trait +20% boon duration, signet of rage also gives swiftness)
- sword #2, 600 leap, 8 s cooldown
- greatsword #3, 450 whirl, 10 s cooldown
- greatsword #5, 1200, 20 s cooldownForceful greatsword, which is already a very powerful trait, granting might on critical hit with spear and greatsword, also reduces the cooldown by 20%. This means we have a 1200 range mobility skill on 16 second cooldown. And that is a problem.
Elementalist’s ride the lightning has 40 s cooldown if it is misses target. Thus is cannot used that well repeatedly for fleeing (unless you manage to his some rabbit in the forest
). Engineer’s rocket boots has 900 range, 20 s cooldown.
I know rush has pathing issues to hit a target, but as a mobility skill with mere 16 s (trained cooldown), that is way too good to remain as it is and to make matters more imbalanced warrior has 2 mobility skills on greatsword, mobile strikes trait (removes immobilize on movement skill), and fast weapon swapping with fast hands, allowing quick swaps between GS and S.
I have spent couple of hundreds hour more time playing on my warrior than on my thief. My warrior is better equipped than my thief, so I don’t think I am partial here. But I really think the mobility crown should belong to the medium armor professions, not to warrior. Warrior needs mobility to close in to targets, but to be like Usain Bolt.
Rush should have range should be changed to 900 and CD increased to 25 s. Sword #2 and GS #3 should also be looked upon.
Traited warhorn is very powerful in zergs, converting conditions to boons. And warhorn #4, charge, also removes immobilize, cripple and chill and grants switness up to 9 allies. I think that is too much. In solo roaming this is okay, but in zerg setting this is way too much happening for a skill with so low cooldown.
You are talking about roaming or zergs? Because in zergs no one uses GS (except pugs, but pugs are nothing but bags anyway) and traited warhorn is only secondary source of condi cleanse, main cleansing are coming from shout guardians and warriors.
And I will tell this again – if someone manages to die from GS – it’s best for him to go to spvp and learn at least basics.

Rework HS to use adrenaline system (or add new healing skill).

Passive: 350-500 hps (to be decided, because we actually decreasing heal from Adrenal Health while passive is on, also passive makes pretty hard to land F1 skill with full effect from 3 bars of adrenaline), consuming 1 strike of adrenaline per second.
Active (25s): Consume all adrenaline with same health per adrenaline as passive.

Agree. Plus there should be some kind of counter play to warriors adrenaline mechanics. Its way to easy to gain adrenaline in the current state of the game. Adrenaline management should be comparable to thieves initiative. Currently its just some kind of “spam burst skills every 8-10s no matter what”…
Because warriors don’t have ANY ways to spend adrenaline except for F1. I remember tons of suggestions about more special skills to spend adrenalin on, but anet ignored them all.

Does everyone that has argued against you need to post links to several of your forum posts that are completely biased and bigoted while only based off playing casual sPvP hot join only 20 solo ques and no team ques?
I remember when the devs used to have SOTG discussions with high end players from both EU and NA. These players provided constructive criticism on proposed changes even if the change buffed their own class.

I have played several tPvP games across all classes and right now I can honestly say that a warrior can do the job to fit every role with in tPvP better than those classes which were originally supposed to supposedly fit certain roles.This game doesn’t have the holy trinity like other games. However it still has roles.
At the most basic level the roles are:
-You have your home point capper
-Mid point bunker
-Roamer
-Far Point assaulterNo class can successfully fill all these roles except one. Warrior.
Mesmer used to be able to fill the role of home point capper… Then the condi meta hit and pushed mesmers out.
Eles used to be able to be the far point assulters… RTL and cantrip nerf stopped that (and yet warriors are still griping that they need their movement to get around)
Thieves were once the gods of roaming as they should be…. Not anymore… A single hambow warrior will keep the thief from doing anything… Yet the thief requires two or three burst combos to kill a warrior wearing the same amulet…
Guardians used to be great home point and mid bunkers. But a warrior can fulfill the role so much better because guess what… a bunker warrior can OUTHEAL a bunker guardian…. With much less effort.
Should every class be able to fill more than one role with in the tournament environment? Yes.
Should one class fill all roles with little to no effort… Not one bit.
How much exactly your “several tPvP games” was? Because this post is pure brilliant.

Elementalists can out-damage warriors only in large AoE situations.
Aside from that, Warriors do more dps than thieves, Mesmers and Guardians, with far less effort.
Looks like you never even tried zerker staff ele. Ele can outdamage EVERYTHING, any class and any spec, and this is on top of crazy bursting potential with frostbow+FGS and ridiculous might+fury stacking.

Really .. if you hate waiting 2 hours for pseudo-raids in an open world for the hardcore raider crowd .. just ignore it .. don’t even try it, else ANet again thinks its a “big successs” and weget even more of that stuff.
If you don’t like that stuff all we can do is to show them the numbers that only a minority of players enjoy that kind of stuff, and the only way to do that is to totally ignore that stuff.
I’m doing it only because of daily for meta. And I’m 150% sure that wurm event will be dead and obsolete in 1-2 months (and marionette, if anet will decide to leave it in game). Same failure design as as Teq 2.0.

WvW is about more than duels. I’ve encountered solo roaming, high landspeed warriors who’re running the supply lines eliminating doly’s. The counter to this is to send them back to their waypoint. However, due to warrior Landspeed on top of their standard class features, they can easily outdistance any chaser, kill their target quickly, and continue moving to the next one without concern for anyone chasing/attacking them. Towers and keeps require supply to upgrade, and upgrades in order to properly defend, especially against the zerging meta. So your argument “looser fleeing from winner” falls terribly flat. Due to a Landspeed inbalance, warriors are single handedly controlling victory conditions of weekly WvW matchups.
Landspeed is an issue, and needs to be properly balanced.
Looks like you playing some another game. Majority of supply line harassers are either roaming thieves or specialized groups.
Btw, I never seen any solo doly harasser who was able to escape from competent group of doly defenders and slay doly. This is 100% l2p issue.

CI is product of condition bunker meta, so we need alternative.
1. Every class without reliable power based damage-dealing spec should get buffs to power-crit talent trees and weapons.
2. Condition-removal buffs for everyone. You must be able to live against condition bunkers as power-based spec without being roflstomped by 100500 conditions.
3. Switch majority of CC abilities to knockback/fears instead of immobilize/stuns. “Stay here while I’m kicking your kitten ” is cheap concept.
4. More boon removal across all classes (with compensation like more HP for guardian and reverting nerfs for ele).
This will switch meta closer to balanced state.

as for the other weapons, ugh.

No he have a very good point. Currently, CI is mandatory in EVERY competitive pvp build. You simply cannot do anything without it against opponents with meta builds (ofc you can find someone terrible, rely on teammate support, or simply be lucky few times, but this is exceptions).
This is clear sign about something very wrong happening with pvp meta.

Huge buffs, massive changes, no scaling in ‘balancing’ what-so-ever. This was the patch where warriors went from having to have a brain to be good to the emergence of hammer trains in wvw, hambow, and various other builds.
Oh wow. Right now, go to sPvP forums, find tier-list topic, read posts for pre-25 June patch, and try to understand why ALL serious PvP-ers put warrior in lowest power tier possible. Or you can PM to them all and call them “people without brain”, lol.

None of those weapons have been nerfed in any noticeable way. Axe auto rotation is by far the highest in the game. Mace is still very strong in small man or solo roaming. Hammer still puts out 8k earthshakers in cavalier gear. Longbow has never been nerfed.
Wtf I’m reading. Axe AA chain was nerfed by moving 50% of damage to last hit (now you need to land third hit to actually do damage with axe), mace is now bunker-only, hammer damage is good only in zerkers or with inflated wvw stats (and even those stats are nerfed with crit damage nerf), LB F1 was nerfed and nerf to LB 5 incoming.
I recommend you to go and read some pathnotes first before making such statements.

Do OP understand that leap skills have travel time and affected by slow effects, thats why they are don’t have targeting? Targeting requirement = teleport skills in GW2.

Also, reduce duration of immobilize, chilled and crippled by 33% + melandru runes (25% reduction) + food (40% reduction) = warrior ignoring any and all slowing conditions.
So you assume that warrior traited and geared for condi duration reduction, but ignoring a fact that opponent can trait and gear for increased condi duration. Try again.

Hint: You don’t need to be PvT to be not only mobile but also tanky and high damage. You can easily hit 3.4k attack, 40% crit(60% with fury), 80% crit damage, 3.2k armor, 22k hp, which also comes with healing signet, cleansing ire, Adrenal health, dogged march, and 25% run speed. Maybe 2k per auto-attack is a tickle to you, but for most other classes it adds up quickly. Oh and if you have a bow in your bag you easily do 5k crits so you can compete in ranged zerg battles
Your “high damage” is laughable easy to evade by anyone with half of brain, because sw+wh+gs is godawful for pvp damage. Also – LB is not valuable in zerg battles at all.

You mean “just double cooldown”? Because all warrior gap closers are non-teleports with literally non-existent chance to hit against any opponent who able to press movement button.

The distinction has already been made, there’s more than just “best mobility”, there’s also best landspeed. Warriors are the undisputed kings of [strike]GW2[/strike] landspeed. The question needs to be asked, has Landspeed been considered for balance?
This gameplay is outside the pale and warrior exclusive. It needs to be brought back in line with the rest of the game.

Thief- you can easily get gap creators with weapons like Sword and Greatsword. The condition clear only applies to very specific condis, and honestly neither of those are enough to justify not getting 392/360 HPS with no cast time whatsoever.

Warrior- so we’ve finally gotten here… Do you still really believe that Healing Signet is weaker than or on average with other healing skills in the game? It has no cast time (meaning no lost damage potential, no lost defensive potential, and no lost healing potential), is less counterable by poison (you have to maintain constant poison uptime in order to get the full reduction from poison), and, when combined with warrior’s other amazing defensive options, is downright OP. Cleansing Ire and Zerker Stance get rid of most of the problems with conditions that warriors ever have. Meanwhile, warrior still has the highest base health in the game except for necro, which doesn’t have the 14% damage reduction from heavy armor anyways.
And that’s why we see so much warrior bunkers in tPvP instead of guardians. Oh wait, we don’t.
Also, you always forgetting to point at little thing about your “heavy armor” arguments. 14% between heavy and light armor is in 0-0-0-0-0 build without any bonuses and stats, aka glassiest glass. Any defensive stats are decreasing this % rapidly.
