I agree with Forgotten legend on this one, I would not like to see someone tell every and any profession to “get full zerk gear and 73% crit chance and L2Dodge” I also will send negative feedback to any of the specialists kittenpond on this fashion.

Well based on timing of the attacks increasing and the Pact forces getting further ahead they decided now was the time to attack, and being that they wanted Heart of the Maguuma to be something special they went ahead with a expansion pack.
I feel it is nearly impossible to continue the story without it being dragged on and on until HoT. For now either take a breather from the game and come back with HoT or just play a bit more casually.

They are planing on HoT being vertical.
Nothing is said about going back to “redo” things in the new fashion. Yet.

I do think they said in a live stream, that all profession specializations will have these new mechanics in effect. I’d like to see the entire system remastered but I wouldn’t count on seeing it before HoT is released, polished, and getting old to the players.

The Personal story will reward you if you do it on a different character. I’ve not personally done this yet.

I got quite a lot of boots, but less so leggings, wich i still needed. It’s random wich you get, pure luck. Stack up the crests and pay 1000 of them for specific chest, if rng eludes you.

Taking a look at the wiki page for the lost chests they do not drop legs or shoulders.

To confirm, the leggings are only available for purchase and personal story.

I’ expecting Condition – Toughness to be a good option for them as they are suppose to be a tanky like class.

It is considered a rare drop.
You could always buy them from the chest vendor.
You’ll need to assist the skritt versus the bandits and get the order and then buy them for 1000 bandit chests.

Sounds like a good idea. As of right now it would seem all feedback is put on the back burner until HoT is out.

Greetings Dan, its glad to hear you and your wife play guild wars 2 together. In terms of co-oping the story it is indeed possible. You’ll both have to agree on a race, back story, and personal question. I suggest letting her pick these as women tend to like to make their character to the t.

For Example: Human→Commoner→Dead Sister→ Any God.

That way you both will have the same story and there will be no conflict. The story instance host picks the options for the story and the party can choose to continue or stay at their mission if they wish to do a different option instead upon completion of the mission.

servers that are FULL in population wont let you transfer, and will also cost the most. I suggest finding what time zone most of that server is and go on at that time, perhaps it’ll let you then. But I think you’ll have to watch it for awhile before you can get it.

If the guild is PvE then you shouldn’t have a problem being on your server now because of the Mega-Server.

You won’t be able to get any non local TS3 server for free. I’ve looked up a few TS3 servers for around 20-30 members and it ranged $70-90.

My advice is to play the game slow and talk to a bunch of random NPC’s, if you enjoy taking it slow getting cool information about the game and having a “whoa that is so amazing” moments.

One of those moments for me was sitting down at the grove and listening to an entire voice acted lesson on Ventari’s Tablet and the tenets.

In the example of a mace being Main Hand and Off Hand no you cannot. But that mace can be both Main Hand OR both Off Hand.

If you’d like you can message me in game and I can help a lot there. I’d say to pick a Guardian, Warrior, or Necromancer.

There are a few ways it is all preference and how well you can do it. (in my opinion).

6. Actual leveling with lots of boosters.

Well it is said they will be doing 5v5. But I FEEL this will be the pseudo-GvG and then increase the cap from 5. Hence why I said to keep an eye on it.

Please keep an eye on the Heart of Thorns Expansion pack. One game mode is called Stronghold and might have more than 5 people per team.

They are tied to it because it is for branching your build.
As Aidan said each trait tree/line is for multiple builds.
I will say they should be moved around because as Dand said longbow and healing power doesn’t make sense to me either.

Lastly in guild wars 1 we also had these traits, the mechanics were different, but the names were kept. Regardless they also offered stats. Dagger mastery on an Assassin gave damage boost on daggers for example while critical strikes gave critical chance.

As others have said Guild Wars 1 is a great game by itself. Don’t play it for the lore or the HoM points. Play it for the game it is amazing. Different take on the genre.

I feel some effects are not as broken as they look.
Taunt doesn’t say they switch targets but it makes sense if it does.
Also its possible for some bosses they can be immune. I feel people like Kohler or the Flame Effigy would be immune.

As an update: I just got my order to get the boots. Go to the skritt enclosed area where the jumping puzzle starts, just wait there until the event pops and you will get it easily.

He is not seen for non Sylvari until claw island iirc. For Sylvari he is seen after returning from Orr. So by time frame and lore, he is not “in the game” until Claw Island or early Sylvari personal story.

I also love both professions.
In my opinion those builds are bad.
Elementalist is very mobile and damage heavy while Mesmer is AoE(Area of Effect) and sustained damage.

It will be buy to play, like guild wars 2 is. How much is not said, I’m expecting $40-60, $20 at the least.

If I recall correctly in all if not some MMO’s that use the CSG currency, it has nothing to do with real life currency and cannot be compared.

To answer what I feel you’re hinting at as Aaron said, 100 copper is 1 silver and 100 silver is 1 gold, they decided against adding platinum from the game. So gold is as high as it can get.

Overclocking your CPU means it is draining more power to perform better. Simply put in my many GREAT analogies (sarcasm). OC’ing your CPU is like running the extra mile, you’ll achieve a lot more but at the cost of exhausting yourself to your limit, pushing youself past it, practically harming yourself at the same time.

In technical terms. You increase the performance of the CPU to make it do more at once while increasing the power consumption. This in the long run makes the CPU die sooner(nothing really to worry about unless you have a low yearly income to save up within the years you’ll have it.) But it is worth it to have a great PC performance.

Now to DO so you’ll have to look at your motherboards manual as this is done within the BIOS. Some Mobo’s you just click a setting others its a few settings. Please find a guide on Overclocking before doing anything because it CAN be harmful quickly if done wrong. for intel CPU’s ending with a K can be overclocked. in example the i7 2600K.

As others have stated:
1. This solution of yours is already a system that is been in the game since beta.
2. The issue at hand might be about your character not the game, gear, traits, skills, etc.
3. Perhaps you need to read up on your profession and learn the in and outs of the class.

I personally do not have any problem on any profession on any map at any level in this game, I have a level 60 ranger with 0 deaths, granted, the double exp weekend, crafting and boosters. And only having 2 maps completed but no deaths. :P

Please come back take the feedback we’ve given and give it another go! Also map complete usually is not the first thing people do after 80 but I give kudos to you for picking that of all things to do first!

Please take note that the minimum requirement for this card is 750w, adding two doesn’t instantly mean 1500w but it will be high up there. And XFX cards have LIFETIME warranty. I REALLY don’t suggest dual GPU as I have faith these cards are strong enough alone, but again this is my PREFERENCE. So please do research on your own about these and Nvidia cards.

it LOOKS like this motherboard will fit dual GPU’s, at least it has the PCI’s for them. (I believe you’d use the two red ones). now the comparability you’re looking for here is two things first. LGA and ATX. LGA is the socket type and ATX is the board type.
Your PC Case can support a ATX which this case is. your CPU is a 1150, which this board can support. All good there. Also looks like it can hold enough Drives for your PC case too. Lastly I’m also seeing 8 USB slots. That’s 12 total slots. (8 on Mobo 4 on PC case).

Ram like this will help as well, I believe it is what I have, not a single problem.

That covers some of the basics. The remaining things are simple things like PCI sound card, PCI wifi card if needed, other coolers. This will be over your budget so once more PLEASE do your own research on this, use what I gave as a guideline. a very quick SIMPLE guideline. I recommend going over to a website called TomsHardware, it is where you’ll get a very nice answer to your question by people certified to help with this. I’m on there occasionally and they could give you indepth guide on what to do.
You’ll need more than what I listed to get your PC going as well, but as i said it is a guideline.To put the final nail in the coffin PLEASE do your own research.

I’m a very avid pc Techie so I think I could help, do keep in mind most of this is preference and to me certain brands are my preference.

You’ll want a large PC case to dual cards.
Now you said not top of the line things but what I’m about to say is an example.
the new R9 AMD cards you can just plug them in and they will be working together just fine nothing extra needed. Granted two of those cards will go over your max preferred cost (being around $900). Besides that older models and GTX cards will need cables for it, cables I don’t know because I didn’t dual GPUs before, imo a R9, a single R9 will do just fine. Lastly before I go into detail my three brands are Corsair, ASUS, and AMD. These brands have yet to let me down in years of owning their products.

CASE:
your case with 2 GPU and a strong CPU will get very hot quickly. You want nice air circulation so something like this case will work.

You can get 7 of these fans (NOTE THIS IS A TWIN PACK) because that case can have 7 120MM fans. with that many fans moving air around you could probably freeze a cup of water in that case. ( Please don’t put a cup of water in your case.) Some people say LED fans tend to be weaker so its up to you, keep in mind 7 fans is nice. With this case I’d go with LED, unless some research says other wise because with that side view it will glow like a beast.

Do yourself a favor and get a 1000w PSU, you CAN get a 850 but with dual GPU I think you WILL run into problems somewhere. 7 fans, 2 GPUs, a most likely OC’d CPU, and a bunch of other things you’ll want it trust me, and even if you don’t use up all of it when you upgrade you wont need to upgrade the PSU any more. the 80+ Gold is also really good.

Sadly it seems this thread isn’t getting anywhere.

As pointed out before:
1. There are many different ways to access the story content of the Living Story.
2. This game is not FREE to PLAY. It is simply BUY to PLAY and SUBSCRIPTION FREE. Arena net is entitled to charge for content. Be grateful it is a mere 200 gems a chapter.

If the go easy approach is yours then to answer your question, no it is not worth a second of your time.

With crafting boosters, express merchant/BL merchant consumables getting one crafting to 400 is possible in an hour or less; if you have the money.

Most of the rewards do not come directly from doing the story, but simply are unlocking the paths from doing so.

Based on your responses and previous information I would say skip the content, you’ll have to do it twice or thrice for rewards anyway.

I have to agree with the others on this one original poster. You are at no disadvantage in playing only one character, you are simply limiting yourself. The tag was not just raised because of account wide. We also got three more colors to use. I don’t think raising the price was the correct way to tackle the problem with the tag.

I think it should have been 100g, 100,000 Karma, and 3000 Badges of Honor. Perhaps even WvW levels and a new item added from World Bosses, some type of token you need 100+ of (Think Collectibles from GW1 but from world bosses instead).

If you don’t or haven’t done any of those things you honestly do not need a commander tag.
SW Farming – Silver Wastes farming is the new map added where you farm events and boxes(like champ farming but through events not champions).

As Dawdler said, there is a way through expensive mice or keyboards but using this method can be considered “cheating” so I do not advise it.
In the meanwhile I’ll bring this and another similar thread to the developers attention.

I agree with Aylrilana, and on top of that the story this season turned out pretty good. It won’t hurt to do the story with someone else so that is always an option!
Not to brag but it is doable solo, I managed it on my mesmer.

As Randulf said, Divinity’s Reach, the human capital, is where a lot of people gather, festivals, trading post and banker along with guild utilities.

Other than that Heart of the Mists for PvP and some of the other capitals, I see lots in the Grove but not the talkative ones.

I think this idea is really cool. Granted I will have to say no to dueling or other shenanigans.
