I’d have to agree on Mesmer, or also Elementalist.
Both are caster scholars. So granted they can be squishy. But with the right gear they can do damage and not die in two hits.

I’d check your Achievements for the current living story missions, and past. I am aware some ascended amulets are rewarded didn’t check for this one. Not in game to check atm. Good luck!

I like the Idea of Account Bound Skill points. Granted if you were to ever “feel the NPE” as an older player that would be rather hard, without gimping your whole account.

As of right now, NA and Chinese clients are planned. When everything is set and the info is given they will make more clients. I think I heard Colin say this in an interview.

Guardians can do a lot of roles, either trait as a bunker and hold points or go dps and take points. I prefer to play as a bunker.

Warriors I don’t play so much. No opinion there besides they can do the same but limited.

A lot of the things you listed OP are NOT gated by level, yet simply introduced at that level. For example at level 22 Jumping puzzles are introduced. Now if you’re level 18 and find a jumping puzzle there will be no invisible wall stopping your progression to do so.
Colin himself said this I believe in a post a long time ago when NPE was released, if I recall correctly.

NPE is to introduce them into the game, not to speed through it, granted there should be a opt out option for alternate characters I think it is a fine addition to the game that needs some minor tweaks. So please help us all out and not complain about it but give real feedback about it in the proper thread. For example how you think it is silly to have story start at level 10 or something similar.

Sometimes not all things downloaded show up as they might not be on your PC, I don’t know if this is the case with guild wars 2. For the most part the .bat file I believe is where the patch is.
I don’t know when but eventually they will add a method to play while Downloading, similar to TERA Online.

There are three scholars: Mesmer, Necromancer, Elementalist.
They have their own strengths and weaknesses, I’ll let you figure those out on your own.
If you are in a party with a friend often go mesmer all the way. They are very helpful for team play, portals and blinks etc. My first main was a Mesmer and it wasn’t a bad time.

For new solo players I’d say necromancer as they can be tanky and do damage. But again with a friend go mesmer.

@Test – The Camera Changes I believe are apart of HoT but they are just slowly giving one or two things before the expansion pack is out. This could be to lessen DvD/CD space requirements on the physical copy or to quicken the download speed.

@ Snow – I can now see where you are coming from, as I said before I am not a fan of Engineers, and not really a fan of necromancers either. One is good once in awhile, and I feel the few conditions from a mesmer on top of the rest a Mesmer can do would be better. I Hammer warrior for CC and I was stuck on Greatsword or Dual Axes, I like Greatswords more so I picked that one haha.

I don’t know the actual gold per hour ratio but for an example of what the SW are.
It is a Camp/Fort defend map with supply Escort; think of WvW but PvE. There are mobs that spawn with legendary status, other champs as well, these give champ bags.
After the defend phase there is a “breach” which you then go under the map and have a limited time to kill the 5 bosses for a boost in Magic Find and drops.
The entire map has a boosted Magic Find winning the breach adds more.

After that there is a new boss called the Vine Wraith which is a mini MOBA if you may. Three lanes all heading to the main boss. South Middle North and they all have their own mechanics for the boss fight. winning all three gives you nice rewards and a chance for an item that “was” I repeat “was” 1000+ gold on the TP, I haven’t checked in a month though.

After that you wait for it to repeat itself over and over. In the meanwhile you can kill the champions that spawn and get bags, or open “Bandit chests” which give decent rewards and champion bags. People say they get 100+ bags a day in casual play doing the SW and events.

Lastly you can do what I did and farm mobs to get T6 mats if you don’t want to do the chest farming(or if you cannot).

As others have said, select the EU/Europe option on the website, and choose wisely. There is a reason the servers in T1 are in T1, very competitive and “elitest” if you may. I suggest going for the 5-10 range if you plan on playing during peak hours.

I haven’t seen many guilds advertise being a LGBT guild, but I am sure there are plenty that do not mind. My guild being an example. Which home server did you pick for NA as that matters for WvW.

All suggestions are nice right now but Priority is key. As a dev told me once, Do you want some cool QoL change or some awesome new thing in the expansion pack?

The Mistfire is unlocked at levle 31 for collector or deluxe owners. I say it is worth to get the Heroic and buy the upgrade atm. Otherwise Deluxe.

Mirta is correct, the Digital Deluxe is on sale and if you have the regular you will benefit from it, if you already have the digital deluxe, which I assume you don’t, you can still buy it but people say it is bugged, thus giving you only the armor.

@Nike Above all People who listen are the best players of any type of person. I don’t care if someones got the best build in the world, if he is running off Rambo soloing the dungeon I’ll most likely kick him and tell him to solo it himself.

That Tank Guardian though.
I just personally Don’t like some things, engineer is one of those things.
And awkward “fun builds” are imo meant more for open world and not dungeons.
Have fun on your own time not others.
I hope you noticed I didn’t mention Timewarp, might stacking (besides PS but that doesn’t count), or optimal DPS output.

Not to mention the use of conditions is in there. For the longest time my favorite class was my Nomad Cleric Guardian. No one ever died haha.

I agree, there are a few times the colors blend well and you can’t see how its doing exactly. maybe a nice flashy border or locate it elsewhere. Lets see how far this thread can go.

Black Gate is of the top tier, I personally don’t suggest WvW at low levels but BG is where most of the WvW is at.

Not that many fractals done but I have the fractal staff skin. 100-200 most maybe for the runs, which are under 40.

As others have stated, warrior, ranger or thief. I also feel they would for your style.

I believe the reason it hasn’t been changed is because of how transmutes worked before the wardrobe system. Technically speaking they are one time purchase. As it unlocks in the wardrobe. Just be more careful next time

In their defense, outfits were a HUGE thing in gw1. They just implemented it late for gw2.
But I do agree skins would be nice. Full sets too, not random gloves or boots.

I’m going to play devils advocate here. I suggest keeping your old characters and play fresh. The new system is indeed new and is worth trying to mix it up. But you’ll have your old characters to fall back on.
Melee class I’d have to say thief or guardian.

What changes happen recently? Software, temperature, etc.
Your PC could be getting really hot thus underclocking itself. I recommend uninstalling gw2 run ccleaner and any anti virus/ PC clean tools then reinstall gw2. For starters.

I will have to decline the concept of publicizing the reports.
These reports range from feedback to warnings and personal matter for the developers to see. That said I don’t see a huge importance on the reports being seen, but I feel a weekly or monthly post by Gaile about what has peaked their interests that week/month would work.

I think a nice function would be when the guild mission is over you can close it manually.

It is said that some changes will blend into the vanilla classes’ specialization.
An example of this is the new conditions.
Secondly changes like the stability changes will work with vanilla too.
All changes are not finale though keep this in mind.

Activities would be the Silverwaste farming (This might be the map you were in and its the furthest map atm). Ascended Armor is a thing to go for as well. Farming for a legendary is always a thing to go for, esp with new ones announced, no specifics.

The new desert zones are Dry Top which has some farming and Silverwastes which has a lot of farming. The Living Story is currently in the Silverwastes going forward to the Heart of the Maguuma Jungle, the new Expansion pack announced.

To access these Living Story updates, if you did not log in for the two week period you’ll have to purchase them with Gems, 200 gems per chapter.

I believe for Claw Island it is the same for everyone. The difference I see is who you take for an ally, and after the entire Battle For Claw Island the Order Arc is over which then goes into the pact Arc.
